Chapter Text
There is a day that all of the members under the Yamino clan shall never forget.
Approximately four months of preparation is needed before the said day. All hands are on deck just to make sure that nothing will go wrong, and that the Grand Sorcerer will be pleased. It is their way of giving back to him, after all. They worship, serve, and protect him with all of their being. It's their responsibility to do so.
A few hours before the clock strikes twelve, the people scurry around the premises of the Yamino territory as quietly yet hurriedly as they can before he wakes up. The Grand Sorcerer is sleeping, and has been for the past couple of months.
No, he's not dead—rather he's just revitalizing his mana that was greatly spent when the war between his only betrothed and the second largest gang (or pest, in other words) in the territory just south of the Yamino's, have occurred. The pests lost, and that made all the sacrifices worth it.
Months of uninterrupted sleep is all what is needed to fully recover.
The said betrothed, the notorious mafia boss of the Kaneshiro clan, knew it was going to happen, and he knows that his beloved will only come back stronger. Thus, he prepares greatly once his lovely sorcerer wakes up to rule the land and its people with him again.
Luca sits on the plush chair, lined with gold beside the massive bed of his lover who is sleeping soundly. He admires the beauty, and the overwhelming amount of aura that the sorcerer exudes even while unconscious makes Luca a bit high off the feeling.
"My love, I've been waiting for so long…" He whispers, his gloved hands grip his trusty, personalized pistol. Luca glances at his reflection on it, smiling at the engraved "Shu" on the side of the barrel. "My gifts are waiting for you."
The door opens, and a staff comes stumbling in. Luca whips his head so fast, he felt some bones in his neck crack, before raising his gun towards the person.
"Who the fuck are you to just barge in here?" Luca asks the obviously scared man.
"M-mister Kaneshiro! My apologies!" The man falls onto his knees. "I was just going to check on the Grand Sorce—"
A bullet fires, and the man covers his head. It hits the wall, leaving a hole. Luca stands up, glancing at his still sleeping Shu before walking towards the man.
He steps on the man's back, his heeled shoe digs on his white shirt. Luca whistles, then puts his gun back in his coat.
"Did nobody tell you that I'm here?" Luca asks, his voice laced with threat.
"I-I thought that y-you went out for fresh air, Mr. Kaneshiro. I wouldn't have come here if I knew—" The man gets interrupted when Luca presses his heel further, his screaming muffled.
"I have my people with me here. You would've known if you saw their golden masks." Luca takes his gun once again. "Do a better job of lying next time, that is, if you'll have one."
Luca shoots the man in the head without even listening to the man's pleas. Splatter of blood taints his white pants, and unfortunately as well on the carpeted floor.
'Fucking hell,' Luca thinks. Blood shall never enter Shu's bedroom. He bites his lower lip.
Luca gets his phone and texts somebody, and not even a minute later three people with golden lion masks come in the room to clean up.
"Triple check every one, under the Kaneshiros, and even under the Yaminos. This bastard somehow got in here." Luca orders. His men bow, before leaving the room crystal clear, like somebody didn't just get killed moments earlier.
The mafia boss sighs, before walking back to his seat. Shu breathes in and out peacefully, his flames slowly coming back to life.
He takes a look at his watch, 11:30 P.M.
Luca chuckles under his breath, mind already going haywire at the thought of reuniting with his Shu. Euphoria rushes through his blood when imagining Shu's scent covering his entire being once more.
He stands up again to sit on the side of the bed. He removes his glove in one hand to caress Shu's cheek with his fingers. Luca grazes his ajar lips, tempted to insert his fingers inside. He doesn't, because Shu will likely cut off his fingers if he does. Not to worry, Shu patches him up in the end anyway.
Both the Yaminos and the Kaneshiros have known each other since then, dating back to 500 years ago. Within their lineage, countless battles have been witnessed, friendships made and revoked, and thousands of people have lost their lives under them.
The deal was; for every pure-blooded Yamino that is born, a pure-blooded Kaneshiro is set for them. Not every Yamino and not every Kaneshiro is considered pure-blood. Sure, they may bear the same last name, but their blood is different. The Yaminos are to aid the Kaneshiros in their wars with the help of their sorcery. The Kaneshiros are to aid the Yaminos in everything.
That tells how much people sought after the power of the Yaminos. Which is also why they have several enemies lurking in the dark.
Pure-blooded Yaminos have a mark on their lower abdomen from when they are born. A purple, heart shaped symbol, that glows differently depending on their emotions, amongst other things. They consider it both a blessing and a curse. A blessing for it is the source of their great power, and a curse for it is a weakness that only the wearer knows.
Not a single explanation is documented as to what weakness the symbol brings. Many theories run wild throughout the entire timeline, yet no one arrives at the correct answer.
Meanwhile, pure-blooded Kaneshiros bear an eagle-shaped seal on the nape, which symbolizes the sacrifices that the very first Boss has endured for the family. Nobody knows how it appears on newborns. All they know is that a year after the first Boss passed away, and a child was born, that mark has made its presence known.
It was five years ago when Shu and Luca met for the first time. A meeting arranged by their families; a meeting for the pure-bloods to discuss their future endeavors.
Shu, who is an outstanding sorcerer at a young age, knows his responsibility that he has to do. He understood what it meant for the Yaminos and Kaneshiros to collaborate, and he doesn't have a problem with it. He's intelligent, quiet, but don't make him angry, or it'll be the last thing that you'll ever do in your life.
Luca, on the other hand, was the type to break the rules and do his own thing. He's a troublemaker, and a headache to his father but that doesn't mean that he overlooks his responsibility. He fulfills it, just in his own little way. His ways of dealing with the enemies were first frowned upon, but Luca's got the potential. His father just wishes that he ask questions first rather than torture immediately.
The blond remembers how the sorcerer took his breath away when they first laid their eyes on each other. Shu's blazing purple eyes stare at Luca's soul, and Luca swears that he almost proposed right in front of him and their families.
He can't deny that he kind of felt intimidated, but Shu's soft features assured Luca that he's in right hands.
It was awkward at first, but when they met up every day to get to know each other better—whether it may be in public, in the privacy of their homes, or somewhere secluded, the two of them felt a connection that they've never felt before.
The urge of protecting and serving someone is something that Luca has never felt before, but here he was, almost experiencing it every moment he's with and without Shu. The raven haired man with purple, yellow, and pink mixed in fills his thoughts every passing day. Luca feels his heart tighten with every smile Shu gives him and with every touch his slender fingers offer when the man plays with his golden hair. Luca knows it for sure—he's madly in love with Shu.
The latter thought it was because of the deal made 500 years ago. Luca calls it bullshit, before kissing Shu with all his might, his back hitting the walls of their cabin in the woods.
Later that evening, Shu wakes up and feels a warm body and breath beside him, his bare skin touching with the other. His mark glows, a comforting feeling settles within him, and right then and there he concludes—he's madly in love with Luca.
Shu also learns the reason why his mark is a curse for them pure-bloods. When Luca made him feel ecstasy in the form of sex, Shu felt an instant change in him.
But he doesn't call it a curse. Sure, Luca's huge dick ramming inside of him can weaken his knees when they fuck standing up, but Shu knows that he can handle himself.
"Luca, baby," Shu calls out. He's currently in the library, finalizing some of the curses he needed to learn before the great war brewing underneath their land happens.
A mop of blond hair emerges from behind the book shelf, who was obviously not reading anything. After all, he was just there to ogle at his fiance from afar. He walks over to Shu, sitting beside him when the sorcerer pats the chair.
"Did you do what I asked of you?" Shu asks sweetly, his hands caressing Luca's thigh. His purple eyes stare at him, smiling. For a bystander, their current interaction might seem sweet, but only Luca knows what the smile meant.
"I did, my love. They're in the basement, and all tools are laid out for you." Luca whispers, pressing a kiss on Shu's lips. "I want to have you before I go back home tonight. I have an early meeting tomorrow."
Shu sighs at the feeling of Luca's lips against his own. His heart flutters at the thought of his order to Luca fulfilled. He rolls his eyes at Luca's attempt to invite him to have sex, before turning back to close his books. A set of hands hold his waist, his lover burying his nose on the back of his neck.
"You smell of honey," Luca says in a hushed voice, feeling his hard-on strain his pants.
A whine escapes Shu's throat, then he moves his things away before sitting on top of the table, spreading his legs in front of his beloved.
"I took a bath," Shu slips off his shorts, his smooth legs touching Luca's arms. His mark glows, and Luca smirks at this. Good thing he wasn't wearing his usual sorcerer get-up, or else Luca will have a hard time removing his clothes from him.
Although they have fucked with it on after a tiring yet exciting night of finishing an entire gang, Shu thinks it's more comfortable and intimate with skin against each other.
Luca sits there, watching as his greatest treasure strips in front of him. Shu's pale yet firm body turns Luca on so much, he can't imagine being with someone else other than him.
He grins when he sees the healing love bite he left on the inside of Shu's thigh from their love making two days ago. Shu scoots further to the center of the table, planting his feet flat on the surface, his legs wide open. His black lingerie poorly covers his dick and his slick hole.
"Devour me," Shu moans, circling a finger around his rim.
"いただきます," Luca whispers before fulfilling Shu's wishes.
The memories hit Luca like a speeding truck on an empty highway. Taking another look at his watch, a minute is only left before Shu finally wakes up.
Luca leans in and presses a tender kiss on Shu's lips, moving his own, coaxing the latter to wake up, and then relief washes over him when Shu kisses back.
The clock strikes twelve, and the sounds resonate throughout the whole mansion.
Tongues collided, wet noises, and heavy breaths cloud upon the tight space they have with how close their faces are.
They pull away, their purple eyes locked onto each other. Shu smiles sweetly at him.
"My beloved," Shu whispers. Luca feels fingers run through his locks. "You better give me the gifts before I claw your eyeballs out of your sockets."
"...Baby." Luca replies, smiling. "My gifts are tightly wrapped in red bows, all ready for you to play with."
Shu raises an eyebrow, and Luca takes it as a cue to show him a photograph on his phone.
Blindfolded people sitting on the floor, tied up with red bows. Shu grins, recognizing every single one of them even with their faces almost covered by the black cloth around their eyes.
"My husband-to-be is always so sweet and giving to me," Shu giggles, pressing a kiss on Luca's nose.
"You deserve the whole world and its everything, my love." Luca hums, taking Shu's hand and kissing it for a while.
Not long after that, both of their manic laughter fills the room, harmonizing with each other.
