The sound of chatter and the smell of fine wine filled your senses as you entered Angel's Share. Your favorite tavern in Mondstadt, the City of Freedom. Charles greeted you, and with a simple smile and nod of your head, he made you your favorite drink. The other patrons gave you a sideways glance as Charles prioritized your order above the rest.
Sliding the drink to you, he spoke.
"Venti should be here any moment; feel free to sit wherever you please."
"Thanks, Charles." You smiled.
You walked up the stairs anyway to sit on the balcony, overlooking where the night's bard usually played.
You didn't have to wait long before your favorite green bard walked into the tavern. He smiled at the bartender, who just seemed to roll his eyes at the man. Finally, Venti looked up to the spot he knew you'd be, giving you a friendly smile and wave. You returned the gesture.
Venti took his place next to the door, taking out his lyre and tuning it properly for tonight's performance.
In truth, this was the only reason you were a regular customer. You enjoyed the stories that Venti would tell with his lyre in hand. Whether they were happy or tragic didn't matter. You enjoyed the stories nonetheless.
The bard cleared his throat, letting the tavern patrons know a story was about to begin.
"Tonight, my friends," Venti smiles. "I bring you another tale."
He strums his lyre, playing a beautiful melody as he begins his tale.
