Work Text:

"She's going to be late. Again."

"She isn't going to be late. She will be on time. She has yet to be late." The soft voice of the man with the pale purple hair  was soothing and quite the counter part to the impatient tone of his white haired companion.

.There was a derisive snort. "Barely. She does realize that I can only do so much before the others will bring it up."

"Relax. She always has a good reason why everything is last minute. She does travel around."

"Punching a fire elemental is not going to be an excuse the others will take."

"I look forward to hearing her stories."   A younger male interjected. "They offer a take that no one else really looks at."

"Elidibus, thank you so much for your compliment.  Grape?  Freshly picked."  Azem flopped an arm across Emet-selch's shoulders while offering the basket of grapes towards the youngest member of the Convocation.  She ignored the stiffening of shoulders under her arm.

"Thank you very much."  Elidibus delicately took a grape and put it in his mouth.  There was the burst of flesh before his eyes widened.  "These are very good."

She grinned and nodded to Hytholodaeus before reaching up a finger to move the corner of Emet-selch's mouth up.  "Thank you so much for bring grapes, Azem. You are the best. I'm glad you put up with my grumpy self."

Elidibus gave a cough, covering his mouth with a hand but Daeus make not effort to cover up his laugh.

Golden eyes glared at her as he swatted at her hands. "I wouldn't be grumpy if a certain member wouldn't cause issues."

"But I keep things interesting."

"You make things more difficult because then I am the one asked about what you're thinking and if you are aware of the consequences."

"No one else cares to go really go explore the world. They don't know half the consequences beyond a book." She shoved a grape into his mouth before handing the basket to Hytholodaeus. "I suppose I should see what stick is up Lahabrea's ass this time."

"His arguments are valid." Emet-Selch chewed on the grape, his brow furrowed.

Azem rolled her eyes towards the sky. "His arguments involve experiments. I doubt he has really made the effort to go out into the world and communicate with the people because he considers them inferior. The last thing he wants is for me to be poking my nose in his business."

"But you will if it peaks your interest."

She mulled it over before hooking an arm through his and holding out her other to Elidibus. "Perhaps. If I really want to shake him up."

There was long suffering sigh.

Elidibus gave a soft laugh before taking the offered arm. "It will be an interesting meeting."
