Work Text:
Kim Seokjin was a normal man who worked as a secretary for one of the most sought-after lawyers in the city. Needless to say, the job paid pretty well, he managed to purchase his own apartment after renting it out for nearly a year, using his savings to pay for the taxes and additional fees. He initially thought that he was all settled, until he picked up a very expensive habit of purchasing luxury items, what started out as a once every two months purchase, turned into once a month, gradually escalating into twice a week, he seemed to be unable to control his extravagant spending habits. His monthly bills came in, and just when he was about to withdraw money from his bank account, he was in for the surprise of his life, it was empty. Drained. Every last penny.
He blinked rapidly as he stared at the screen which seemed to be mocking him with the amount of zeros that stared back at him. He was in utter disbelief, in denial, even. Well-aware that he possessed a teeny tiny habit of overspending more than he should, but what really stressed him out was the fact that his next paycheck wasn’t coming in anytime soon and that his bills were due in 3 days. Asking for an advanced salary wouldn’t sit well with his boss, he could possibly get fired for even attempting it. Borrowing money from his parents was out of the question as well, every since he graduated from college, he got into a huge fight with them and swore that he would never ask for any amount of money from them ever again, who knew that he would be eating his words years later. Groaning out in frustration, he was running out of options, he needed emotional support in a dire situation such as this one, he sent a text to his group chat, asking them to come over tonight with lots and lots of booze. If he couldn’t find a solution, at least he could drown his sorrows with alcohol to help him forget things, even for just a while. It was an awful plan, but he was running out of ideas, and truthfully, he was running out of hope as well.
After dinner, his friends came knocking on his door, the bags in their hands were rattling, the sound of bottles clinking together could be heard. At least he had his friends AND alcohol, that was the only positive thing about his entire situation so far. As soon as Jimin and Yoongi stepped inside, Seokjin began to cry out.
“I’m going to die. It’s all over for me!”
Jimin hurriedly went up to him to inspect if he was bleeding or had any wounds.
“Oh my God, what’s wrong, hyung? Are you hurt?? Are you sick??”
“No, but I don’t have enough money to pay for this month’s utility bills, that’s practically the same as dying. Oh and Jimin, if I die, please remember to dress me up in my favorite YSL button down, you know that one, the crisp white dress shirt with the spray painted design?”
Jimin shoved him back, rolling his eyes in annoyance.
“Sometimes I forget how annoying you are, thanks for reminding me. When you die, I’ll dress you up in a ratty neon orange shirt just to annoy you.”
“You wouldn’t!” Seokjin exaggeratedly gasped.
“You wanna try me? I totally would.” Jimin retaliated, a sinister smirk forming across his lips.
This was a normal occurrence whenever the three of them were in the same room together, constant bickering and teasing. Although no matter how much they enjoyed making fun of one another, they were the only ones Seokjin could count on when times got tough, they were the anchors that kept him grounded. He wasn’t a person who was affectionate by any means, but whenever he got the chance, he made sure that they knew how much he appreciated having them around.
Yoongi, who idly stood in the middle of the room, unfazed by how loud Jimin and Seokjin were being, had enough of their bickering, he told them to sit down and start talking like civilized human beings since that’s what they came here to do. After being scolded yet again, they eventually stopped and gathered on Seokjin’s immaculate white couch.
“Okay, we’re here because you kept on flooding the group chat with crying emojis, followed by an alarming number of skull and grave emojis, so what’s up, hyung?” Yoongi decided to get straight to the point.
Sensing that this wasn’t the time to be cracking any silly jokes or antics, Seokjin confessed. “You guys know that I have a miniscule spending habit..”
Scoffing as Jimin retorted. “I would definitely not describe it as miniscule, but whatever helps you sleep at night.” Receiving an intimidating glare from Yoongi, signaling him to stop provoking Seokjin.
“Anyway, before I was so rudely interrupted, to make the long story short, my bills came in so I went to the bank to withdraw, and I had nothing left in my account.”
Yoongi’s eyes visibly widened. “Nothing??? You spent it all??? How is that even possible, hyung? You earn the most out of the three of us.”
“Well, you see, last week was the end of season sale for Valentino, and the week before that, Balenciaga was having a sale..” Seokjin trailed off.
Yoongi stopped him before he could spend the entire evening talking about his recent purchases, and even worst, justifying each one. “So, what are you going to do about it?”
“That’s the thing. I’m out of options. I can’t ask for my salary in advance, I can’t ask my parents, and I can’t spend the entire month without electricity. I’m doomed.” He lowered his head in defeat, Yoongi could merely sympathize with him, having no ideas to bring to the table. Jimin on the other hand, was eerily quiet the entire tine, not a single peep from him, he seemed to be lost in his thoughts, suddenly speaking up.
“I can lend you money, hyung. But I have one condition.”
They both simultaneously turned to gape at him, the solution to his problems was sitting right next to him all along.
“Anything. You name it, and it’s yours. And I mean anything. Thank you so much, Jiminie, I owe you.” Giving Jimin a tight hug.
“I hope you don’t take your words back, hyung. A promise is a promise. Your end of the bargain will be arriving tomorrow.” He said with a small smile.
“What? What’s arriving tomorrow? But never mind that, whatever it is, I’ll accept. I’m forever indebted to you.”
Yoongi skeptically eyed Jimin, he looked nervous and he had no idea why, unsure if he even wanted to find out whatever it is that he was plotting. They spent the rest of the evening enjoying their drinks, and hanging out like they normally did, Jimin remained silent for the rest of the night, and Seokjin happily drifted off to sleep, in peace, knowing that he would able to settle his bills tomorrow.
The next day, the doorbell started to repeatedly ring, frantically waking Seokjin up from his deep slumber. He squinted one eye open to check the time on his phone, astonished to find out that it was only 6 in the morning, it was a Saturday and someone was furiously ringing his doorbell at 6 in the freaking morning. Seokjin religiously spent his weekends waking up a little past noon, so whoever was brave enough to disrupt his much needed sleep better be prepared to face his wrath. Clearly, on weekends, he was never a morning person. Groaning as he rolled off the bed, a loud thump could be heard once his feet hit the wooden floorboards. He stomped his feet as he made his way towards the door, a bunch of profanities already awaiting to be released on the tip of his tongue, he forcefully pulled the door open as the words died in his mouth. It was a young man, probably close to his age, and he had several large bags in tow.
“Kim Seokjin?” He called out, his eyes peering underneath his long, brown bangs. He possessed a lower register, which Seokjin immediately took notice of.
“Yes, that’s me. And who might you be?” His profanities transformed into polite words instead, cursing himself instead for being so damn polite all the time.
A giant boxy grin took Seokjin off guard, knocking the wind out of his system. “Hi. Nice to meet you, I’m your new roommate, Kim Taehyung. Jimin’s friend.” He held out his hand, and Seokjin shook it out of habit.
“Ah, I see. Nice to meet you. So you’re my.. wait, what??? What roommate??” Halfway through the handshake, Taehyung’s words began to sink in.
“Jimin told me that I could stay here since you have an empty spare room. Wait, can I enter now? The corridor is a bit creepy, I mean, it’s really dark.” Before Seokjin could get another word in, Taehyung entered without hesitation, dropping his bags to the floor as he took a seat on Seokjin’s couch, making himself comfortable.
Seokjin realized that he made an unknown promise to Jimin for lending him money, clearly he wasn’t expecting the promise to arrive in the form of an actual human being who was going to be his roommate all of a sudden. He decided that he needed copious amount of caffeine in his system before he could hold a proper discussion with Taehyung, sighing, he was already aware that today was going to be a long day.
Throughout their initial conversation that extended until lunch, he discovered that Jimin and Taehyung attended middle school together. They reconnected via social media recently, and Jimin found out about Taehyung’s living situation from a mutual friend, and his living situation was.. well, it was bad. He ended up living with an abusive stepfather who had a severe drinking problem and his mom, who wouldn’t believe a word out of his mouth, even when Taehyung showed her scars and bruises as proof, she wouldn’t budge.
One night after receiving a rough beating from his stepfather, he packed everything he could manage to fit into 4 large bags, and fled. At first he was temporarily living with Jungkook, their mutual friend, but his parents weren’t too pleased to shell out more expenses for one more person, Jimin ended up texting him, informing him that he would find him a safe place to stay, which after a couple of days, he eventually did, texting him Seokjin’s home address. Which brings them back to present time, Seokjin’s heart wrenched as he listened to Taehyung’s story and how he ended up at his doorstep at 6 in the morning. His eyes scanned Taehyung’s arms and almost cried at the sight of multiple wounds, some of them looked fresh too. He didn’t have the heart to turn Taehyung down after hearing how unfair life treated him, he simply couldn’t drive him away.
After a few minutes of contemplating, he decided to allow Taehyung to stay in his spare bedroom, informing him that he could go out and find work whenever he was ready, to assist Seokjin when it comes to utility bills, but for now, Seokjin was willing to provide for him.
Taehyung showcased his big boxy grin once again, hugging Seokjin as he repeatedly thanked him for his kindness. It was a strange and unfamiliar feeling, but not strange enough to interrupt Taehyung and ruin the moment, so he just sat there, permitting Taehyung to hug him for as long as he needed.
“Thank you, hyung! I have a feeling that you and I will get along just fine.” Taehyung cooed out, and although Seokjin was reluctant to admit it, he felt like they would get along well too.
Seokjin headed to the kitchen, to prepare the first of many meals for Taehyung, realizing that it felt nice to have someone to prepare these meals for since he had the tendency to cook more than he intended, which seemed like it was no longer going to be a problem with Taehyung around.
That’s how one unruly knock at 6 in the morning altered Seokjin’s life, it was never the same after Taehyung came along.
Three years later, they still lived together except a couple of things have changed. For example, they were now a family of three, Taehyung begged Seokjin to adopt a puppy for months, and after a couple of months, he eventually gave in, adopting a small, black Pomeranian which Taehyung named Yeontan, Tannie for short, a nickname Seokjin came up with, eventually warming up to the tiny ball of fur. The most drastic change that occurred within the years was how Taehyung’s bedroom was converted into his own personal art studio. He discovered that he enjoyed painting and how it became a form of escape for him, Seokjin encouraged him to hone his talent, and this encouragement came in the form of completely transforming what was once a spare bedroom, into a mini studio for Taehyung. They started sleeping on the same bed afterwards, which earned dubious remarks from their close friends.
One time, Hoseok and Namjoon, Seokjin’s friends from work, decided to drop by unexpectedly, they got the shock of their lives when Taehyung walked out of the bedroom, his loose shirt hanging from one shoulder, they sent each other skeptical looks, both assuming that Seokjin was still single.
Seokjin was preoccupied with his cooking that he didn’t even notice Taehyung in the distance, Hoseok awkwardly stood up, carefully tapping Seokjin on the shoulder to gain his attention.
“Um, hyung. Your boyfriend’s awake.” Looking back at Taehyung, who sent him a small smile before letting out a loud yawn, stretching his limbs.
Seokjin turned to look at Hoseok’s line of sight, chuckling at the assumption. “Don’t be silly, Hoba. That’s Taetae, my roommate, we’re not dating.”
Namjoon quizzically inspected Taehyung’s attire, he instantly recognized what he was wearing, as it was one of Seokjin’s favorite shirts, it was long enough to conceal the shorts he was wearing underneath, although Namjoon couldn’t be too sure if he was actually wearing a pair underneath.
“Are you sure about that, hyung? Because he just came out of your bedroom. Unless you have two beds in there.”
“I have one bed. We sleep together.” Seokjin stated, ignoring the surprise in his friends’ faces, like he just muttered the most normal thing in the world.
Taehyung bowed to both of their guests, going behind Seokjin to wrap his arms around his waist, resting his chin on top of his shoulder. Hoseok instantly turned to look at Namjoon, telepathically asking him if he just witnessed that, still reeling from the shock. They didn’t want to pry on Seokjin’s private life, but how could he deny that he was in a relationship with his roommate when they acted even more domesticated than Hoseok and Namjoon? And they’ve been a couple for 5 years now, but never showed an excessive amount of affection in front of others. Watching Seokjin and Taehyung, they seemed so comfortable, too comfortable, even. They were so unbothered by it which meant that it was a regular occurrence between the two of them. Their telepathic communication came to an abrupt halt when Taehyung started giggling out loud, apparently while they were engrossed sending knowing signals to one another, Seokjin and Taehyung entered a tickle fest.
Hoseok rolled his eyes, wondering how long it would take them to realize their obvious feelings for one another. Namjoon stepped closer to whisper something in his ear.
“6 months onwards. If you win, I’ll willingly bottom for 1 month.”
Grinning as he accepted the impromptu bet. “You’re on. I’ll go for less than 6 months. You better start getting prepped.”
It happened to every friend group, to Seokjin’s co-workers, to their closest friends, Jimin, Jungkook and Yoongi. Jimin constantly asked Taehyung why they still weren't dating when it’s basically the next step, to which he would refute by feigning ignorance, much to Jimin’s annoyance.
Taehyung had a sketchbook especially dedicated to Seokjin, boasting portraits of him created by various art techniques, it was one of his most prized possessions. Occasionally, Seokjin would agree to pose for him, even if he felt a bit iffy being the center of attention, but because it was for Taehyung, he always seemed to give in. Whatever he wanted, Seokjin would oblige to, and vice versa. Throughout the years, they both developed a soft spot for one another, declining date invitations from their peers, claiming that it wasn’t needed, why get into a relationship when they each had someone home waiting for them? A relationship would only bring unnecessary stress.
One afternoon, Taehyung was out shopping for new paint with Jimin and Jungkook, and Yoongi suggested to keep Seokjin company, it was also an opportunity to have a long-awaited intervention while catching up on their lives.
Feeling lazy to prepare a dish, they decided to order in instead. Midway through their lunch, Yoongi gave his words a lot of thought before blurting them out, choosing to tread carefully.
“So, hyung, how are you? ….And Taehyung-ah.” Looking into his take out container, as if he needed to double-check how many pieces of sweet and sour pork remained.
“Hmm? We’re okay. Same as always. Why?” Slurping down his noodles after responding.
“Nothing. Are you guys still not dating? Like, each other?” Yoongi reminded himself to not immediately drop a bomb like this on Seokjin, it would only make things awkward.
“No. Why? We’re good friends, you know that.” This time, Seokjin took a bite out of his prawn cracker which was almost forgotten, laying on top of a discarded container.
“But is that all you want to be? Good friends? So, you won’t mind if I set Taehyung up on a date? Because I know this guy, and he’s really into Tae.” Before Yoongi came over, he discussed this issue with Jimin and Jungkook, coming up with a brilliant scheme as a result.
This time, it took Seokjin longer to respond than he normally would, giving Yoongi’s words an elongated period to sink in. He didn’t know why it bothered him, when they were friends, weren’t friends supposed to be happy for one another during times like these? Yoongi stared back at him, hands crossed in front of his chest, waiting for his answer.
“Why would I mind?” Seokjin realized that it took him a looong time to answer, causing Yoongi to cock an eyebrow.
“Uh huh. No reason. Just in case, you know, you might have something against the idea. Because if they hit it off, Taehyung might have to eventually move out.” Drumming his fingers against the dining table, it looked like his plan was working.
Until he realized that Seokjin was the most stubborn man on the planet. “Oh. Then that’s his decision. Anyway, I’ll clear the dishes, there’s ice cream in the freezer if you want some.” He quickly disposed of the remainders of their food, shaking the thought of Taehyung going out with another man out of his head, wondering where the sudden feeling of dread came from.
“Huh. That didn’t go as planned. Time for plan B.” Yoongi muttered to nobody in particular, sending a quick message to Jimin.
The next day, Hoseok and Namjoon invited Seokjin out for dinner after work, he obliged after informing Taehyung that he wouldn’t make it home in time for dinner, Taehyung sent back about ten consecutive crying emojis, and Seokjin was tempted to cancel his plans at that instant, restraining himself from doing so. They invited him out to a local barbeque joint, mainly because it was Namjoon’s favorite restaurant in town. After ordering their first round of preferred dishes and beverages, Hoseok cut right to the chase. “Seokjin hyung, you’re single, right?”
“Um, yeah. Why?” He asked, perplexed at the sudden question.
A devilish glint in his eyes, Namjoon was silent the entire time, probably because of the previous bet they made. “So, I know this guy, and I thought you would look cute together. Can I set you up on a date?”
As Seokjin sat there stunned, unsure of how to proceed with this, Namjoon intervened. “He looks okay, clearly not as handsome as your roommate, Taehyung was it?” Hoseok looked offended as he shot Namjoon a side eye.
“What does Tae have to do with this?”
Shrugging, as he looked back to glance at Hoseok. “Nothing. Just saying, I think you two would look better together.”
Hoseok hid his face behind his open palm, mouthing out the words, what do you think you’re doing, as he continued to shoot daggers with his eyes.
Clearing his throat, he continued. “So, as I was saying, hyung, are you interested?”
“Unless you already have your eyes on someone.” Namjoon added, ignoring Hoseok’s annoyed looks.
“W-what? Of course not. Who would I have my eye on? You know what, fine, set the date up.” Stammering as he grabbed a glass of water nearby, Seokjin hesitantly agreed on the date, immediately regretting it after.
“Really???? That fast? Ok, I’ll set it up and get back to you regarding the details.” Hoseok’s eyes were practically shining with delight, Yoongi reached out to him earlier, somehow obtaining his number from Seokjin’s phone when he left it unattended, letting him in on a little scheme to get Seokjin and Taehyung together.
“Or, you could take your time, you know, think things through. Even if it takes over six months to reach a decision.” Namjoon retorted.
“Shush. Stop messing with hyung’s head.” Hoseok stated, bringing his index finger towards his lips.
“You’re not playing fair.” Namjoon muttered loud enough for only Hoseok to hear.
Hoseok leaned in to whisper in his ear. “That’s life, honey, get used to it.” As he inched one step closer to victory.
They spent the night gossiping about their co-workers, well, mostly Hoseok talked about information which he picked up from the office gossips, relaying the news to his companions, Seokjin’s mind was distracted the entire night, he couldn’t comprehend why he was feeling a tinge of guilt towards Taehyung for accepting a date he didn’t even want. He had no reason to do so, yet it was an uncontrollable feeling at the pit of his stomach.
Seokjin came home, inebriated from all the alcohol they managed to consume, a slight wobble to his miscalculated steps, he slowly turned his key, not-so discreetly sneaking in the apartment, seeing as it was a little over 2 in the morning and he assumed that Taehyung was already deep asleep. He carefully took off his shoes amidst the pitch black room, when a deep voice called out to him.
“Hyung? You’re finally home.” It was Taehyung sitting on the edge of the couch, nearly giving Seokjin a mild heart attack, causing him to drop his belongings due to the shock. Turns out Taehyung was wide awake, waiting for him to come home.
“Taehyung-ah??? Why are you sitting alone in the dark? I almost died from shock.” He turned a floor lamp on, illuminating Taehyung’s features. “And why are you still up?”
“I was waiting for you. Bed’s too cold.” There it was again. The unsuspecting guilt that crept up to Seokjin.
“Why didn’t you text me? Would have headed home earlier if I knew you were waiting for me. Have you eaten?” He headed closer to Taehyung, placing a soft chaste kiss on the top of his head.
“Ramen. Didn’t want to bother you.” It was during times like these that Taehyung appeared younger than he really was, looking like a sulking puppy.
“That’s not even a proper meal. Want me to cook something for you?” Seokjin offered, Taehyung could smell the alcohol reeking from his clothes, scrunching his nose in disapproval.
“You’re drunk.” Taehyung simply stated.
“Am not.” Seokjin slurred back.
Taehyung stared back into his bloodshot eyes, confirming his suspicions, as he entered through the front door in such a loud manner, trying to act like he did it quietly instead, Taehyung already knew that he was drunk. “Uh huh. Okay, hyung. Sure you’re not. Did you have fun at least?”
“Yup. But I feel a bit guilty towards you. Dunno why.” He was speaking more honestly than he normally would, probably due to the alcohol.
Taehyung couldn’t understand, deciding to probe further. “Guilty? Why would you feel guilty?”
“Becaaaause, I didn’t come for dinner. You had to eat ramen instead. And more other thing.”
It made Taehyung giggle, at least Seokjin acted like a cute drunk. “What’s the other thing?”
“I.. kind of accidentally agreed to go on a.. blind date.” His eyes were almost dropping, suddenly feeling exhaustion take over his body. “I’m going to sleep now, Taetae. Goodnight.” He stood up and trudged his way towards the bed, not even bothering to change out of his clothes.
Taehyung remained glued to the sofa, unmoving, staring at the white rug, wondering why the fact that Seokjin nonchalantly declared that he was going out on a blind date irritated him to no end, he should be happy for his roommate, right?
Except he was anything but happy.
He seemed to be going through the motions, feeling every kind of emotion there was, ultimately landing on a specific one that was all to familiar to him, one he never felt around Seokjin.
Fear.
He sat in the dimly-lit room for what seemed to be hours, contemplating the strange emotions which overcame him, he couldn’t comprehend where these feelings were stemming from, and why it appeared out of nowhere. After getting nowhere with his thoughts, he was already feeling the exhaustion creep up on him, he padded towards the room, watching Seokjin’s sleeping figure for a while, envisioning Seokjin meeting someone who would eventually watch his sleeping figure, someone who would take his place on the bed, and truthfully, it was a thought that he was beginning to have a strong distaste for, acquiring a deep-seated aversion towards anything mildly related to Seokjin suddenly dating.
It was a simple statement, but it was enough to keep Taehyung wide awake throughout the night. He sun was peeking, when he decided to climb into bed with Seokjin, tightly securing both arms around Seokjin’s waist, almost as if he would disappear into thin air if he kept his grip loose enough.
As the morning bid farewell to the dark night, giving way for the sun to permeate the skies, Taehyung feared that there would come a time wherein he would have to do the same with Seokjin.
He went to sleep with a heavy heart, and thoughts which contained more weight than he primarily assumed it would.
Taehyung woke up the next day, frantically patting the space next to him to check if Seokjin was still there, but only felt a cold, empty space beside him. He was panicking. It wasn’t the first time he woke up alone, yet upon learning about the possibility of Seokjin going on a date, his mind hasn’t been the same since then.
He ran out of the room in his bewildered state, hair standing up in every direction, feeling the instant relief once he spotted Seokjin’s bare back facing him, preoccupied with whatever dish he was preparing. Relief flooded his system, as he snaked his arms around Seokjin’s slim waist, resting his chin on Seokjin’s shoulder, it was his safe space.
“Oh Taehyung, didn’t hear you leave the room.” Seokjin continued flipping the pancakes he was making.
“Mhmm. It was cold, you weren’t there, so I sort of panicked.” Taehyung admitted, still half asleep.
“Panicked? Why would you panic, silly? Anyway, this is almost done so you can have a seat while waiting.”
“Don’t want to sit. Can’t I just stay here and wait for you to finish?” Taehyung had always been clingy, he was just extra clingy today.
“Suit yourself.” Giving the pancakes one last flip before stacking them on a plate.
They ate breakfast together as usual, except that Taehyung kept on unabashedly staring at Seokjin, which he soon took notice of.
“Yes Tae-ah? I’m going to start blushing if you keep this up.” He teased, but suddenly Taehyung was more self-conscious than ever.
“Oh. Um, sorry. It’s your day off today, right? Can you spend the day with me? I’d like to.. uh, paint you.” Truth be told, Taehyung was not in the mood to paint, but it was the first excuse he thought of, deciding to just go with it.
“Of course, Tae-ah. Didn’t have any other plans anyway.” Smiling at Taehyung as he responded.
After breakfast, Seokjin joined Taehyung in his studio, sitting on a stool located in the middle of the room.
“This okay, Tae? What pose to you want me to do?” Seokjin asked, not really sure if he should have a seat or remain standing up.
Taehyung was busy gathering the colors he needed, separating them from his huge stash which he collected over time. “Whatever you feel comfortable with, hyung. I just want to paint you.”
Seokjin decided to have a seat, most of the time he detested being the center of attention, awkwardly self-conscious of himself, but because it was Taehyung, he didn’t mind, couldn’t find it in him to deny any of his requests. He found a position he was comfortable with, choosing not to smile as a muse today. Taehyung got started, eloquent strokes making it’s way towards the blank canvass, Seokjin maintained eye contact while Taehyung avoided it at all costs, keeping his mind focused on the painting in front of him, it served as a good distraction.
After an hour, he was satisfied with the outcome, informing Seokjin that he was finished.
“Can I take a peek?” Seokjin asked.
One strange dynamic between them was that Seokjin constantly agreed to be his muse, but he never got to see any of Taehyung’s drawings or paintings of him. He was never granted permission to see the finished products.
“Nope.” Taehyung retorted, turning the canvass around until it was facing the wall, away from Seokjin’s line of sight.
“No fair. You never let me see any of your paintings.” Seokjin pouted.
Taehyung was quick to deny his claims. “That’s not true. You’ve seen plenty of my works.”
“Yeah, but never your works containing my face.”
“Oh well. Tough luck, hyung. Maybe I’ll show you one day, or maybe you’ll never see them. Who knows.” Teasing Seokjin, he giggled, putting away the brushes that needed cleaning.
The doorbell rang, they both skeptically looked at each other, neither one expecting company for today.
Taehyung hurriedly opened the front door, to be greeted by familiar faces, their friends unexpectedly dropped by, Yoongi, Jimin and even, Jungkook.
“Hi?” He muttered out, Jimin instantly giving him a tight hug, Yoongi merely stepped inside without saying anything.
“Sorry for dropping by on short notice.” Jimin stated.
“More like no notice but okay, hi Min. What are you guys doing here?”
“Nothing. We were bored. Oh, and we wanted to ask you something.” Jungkook added before stepping inside the apartment, immediately heading straight to the dining table to grab a leftover pancake. The studio door creaked open as Seokjin headed out, surprised to see his friends.
Taehyung ran over to Seokjin, resting his head on his shoulders, Jimin was so over their domesticity, he rolled his eyes.
“Hey. Is there a party and I wasn’t informed? What are you guys doing here?” Seokjin quizzically inquired, eyeing Jungkook who was headed to the pantry after chowing down their leftovers.
“Remember that thing we discussed last time, hyung? Well, I’m here to ask Taehyung-ah.” Yoongi declared, Seokjin instantly felt like rushing to the bathroom to throw up his breakfast.
Their friends were here to ask if Taehyung wanted to go on a date.
This abrupt discontent that seemed to consume him brought a surge of possessiveness which he couldn’t justify, he was also going out on a blind date, but the mere idea of Taehyung going on one, was driving him absolutely nuts. Taehyung could feel Seokjin’s entire body stiffen, removing himself from his comfortable position to take a better look at Seokjin, who was starting to look pale.
“I don’t think he’s interested.” Seokjin managed to spit out with gritted teeth.
“Oh? How would you know that, hyung? I think I better ask him.” Yoongi cocked an eyebrow, challenging Seokjin to prevent it from happening. Taehyung glanced at the both of them, having a silent battle with how intense their glares were.
His entire body wanted to yell out no, wanted to stop Yoongi from talking, but instead he just stood there, waiting for the dreadful event to take place.
“What’s happening? Hyung, you’re starting to look pale. Come here, sit down.” He tugged on Seokjin’s arm, and Seokjin had to amplify his willpower.
“No, it’s okay, Tae. I’ll just grab a glass of water.” He let go of Taehyung’s grip and headed straight to the kitchen. Jimin was silently watching the scene unfold, wondering if they were pushing too far.
“So, Taehyung-ah, how do you feel about going on a blind date? I know this guy and..” Yoongi didn’t even get to finish his offer when Taehyung abruptly, without thinking twice, answered.
“No thanks, hyung. I’m good.”
“What? But this guy is really..” Yoongi insisted.
“Nope. Not interested.”
Seokjin almost dropped the glass he was holding, feeling slightly tempted to jump for joy, even if he didn’t understand why he was elated in the first place, concluding that the reason behind it didn’t matter for now.
For now, Taehyung wasn’t going on a date and that was enough.
“You sure, Taetae? Well, if you ever change your mind, let us know.” Jimin added, noticing Taehyung’s glum expression.
He remembered that even if he declined the date, Seokjin was still going on one, and it really didn’t sit well with him.
It was an immature impulse reaction, feeling the need to somehow “get revenge” without even knowing where the sudden impulse was coming from.
“I’ll give it a go.” He muttered it softly under his breath that Jimin barely caught it.
“Wait, what? Really??” Making sure that he heard Taehyung correctly. The wheels in Jimin’s head were spinning, this could be the life altering movement that would make his friends realize how seamlessly in love they were with one another. Seokjin stood still in the kitchen, in disbelief that Taehyung changed his mind all of a sudden.
“Uh, sure. Why not.” Taehyung added, eyes flickering towards Seokjin, who had his back turned.
“Let me text my friend then.” Yoongi interjected, noticing how tense the atmosphere was.
Seokjin could feel his phone vibrating from his jean pocket, Hoseok sent him a text message following up on his blind date, he was mad, without any proper reason, fueled by the thought of Taehyung going out on a date, he agreed via text once again, sealing the deal.
Yoongi looked up at Taehyung. “How does tomorrow at 7 p.m. sound?”
Taehyung blankly nodded along, agreeing with whatever, it was too late to back down now.
“What are the odds, my blind date is also tomorrow evening.” Seokjin solemnly uttered. Jungkook finally decided to join them, immediately taking notice of how rigid Seokjin’s posture was, when he looked back to his friends, they were equally as tense.
“Oh.” The only thing Taehyung was able to say in response.
Jimin was starting to doubt if their plan would work, there was a possibility that it could backfire and eventually bite them in the ass, but it was a risk they decided to take, concluding that they should see it until the very end.
Taehyung excused himself, announcing to everybody that he was going to paint again, everyone watched him awkwardly slip out of the main living area, everyone except Seokjin.
“Hyung, you okay?” Jimin stepped closer, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder which felt stiff under his touch, he merely nodded.
“You sure? We’ll be going ahead now, okay? Call me if you need anything.” He sent him one last look before signaling to the others that it was their cue to leave, they said their farewells until the front door clicked shut.
The rest of the day was light years away to how it started, replaced by a cold, awkward ambiance that was suffocating. Taehyung only stepped out of his studio hours after dinnertime, when he was sure that Seokjin was fast asleep. He didn’t understand the unnerving feeling, but Seokjin seemed mad for some reason, and undeniably, so was he. He slept on the far corner of the bed, leaving an ample amount of space between them, he felt smaller than he was, and honestly, it took everything in him to not wrap his arms around Seokjin.
It was one of the worst nights of Taehyung’s life, and he’s been through a lot of rough nights. He realized that he could withstand physical pain way better than emotional pain, his heart felt wounded, and it wasn’t something that mere pain relievers nor bandages could fix.
The next morning, Taehyung woke up once again to an empty bed, discovering a note by his nightstand in Seokjin’s writing, informing him that he was headed to the grocery. That was the final nail on the coffin, grocery shopping on Sundays was their thing. He felt like crying, no matter how stupid it seemed, he didn’t even know what was wrong in the first place. Forcing himself out of bed, he decided to get ready earlier than expected, he needed a distraction, and it seemed like a better idea than moping around.
The warm shower flushed out his thoughts, as the water continued to flow, drenching his body, his mind remained on Seokjin, and why the atmosphere between them was thick enough to be sliced with a knife.
He heard the front door open, quickly shutting off the shower, he wrapped a clean towel around his waist, heading out of the bathroom to greet Seokjin.
“Taehyung-ah, I’m going to make Bibimbap and..” His eyes immediately landed on Taehyung’s body, noticing how the towel loosely hung on his waist, revealing his hip bones. The words died on his tongue.
“And?” Taehyung prompted him to continue.
“Nothing. Get dressed, you’re going to catch a cold.” He quickly kept himself preoccupied by unloading the items from the bags, internally punishing himself for conceiving lewd thoughts towards Taehyung.
But was Taehyung always that hot?
He shook his head, hoping that the thoughts would disappear along with it.
Taehyung felt dejected, like Tannie whenever Seokjin would scold him for chewing on the carpet, he was so used to receiving endless praises and compliments that being scolded felt odd. He silently headed back to the bedroom to grab clothes, picking out whichever piece of clothing his hands landed on.
Apparently, he managed to grab shorts that were too short to conceal anything, and a flimsy tank top that was borderline transparent by how thin the material was.
As soon as Seokjin took in his appearance, he briskly turned his head away, reeling from the shock as he pretended that frying beef was of utmost importance, much more important than focusing on how attractive Taehyung looked.
“I do hope you’re not wearing that for your date tonight.” He bitterly spat out.
“No, I just grabbed whatever I could get my hands on.” Taehyung replied, suddenly feeling insecure.
Seokjin could sense how disconsolate Taehyung’s voice sounded, guilt eating him up alive, he quickly apologized. “Sorry Tae, didn’t mean to come off as mean as I sounded. It’ll be done in five minutes.”
Taehyung took a seat, patiently waiting for Seokjin as silence filled the air, only the sound of meat sizzling on the frying pan could be heard.
Seokjin approached the table, handing Taehyung his non-spicy version of Bibimbap, just the way he liked it. He muttered a thanks as they continued to eat in silence.
“You excited for your date tonight?” Seokjin didn’t even know why he asked, if Taehyung said yes, he was bound to feel hurt, if he said no, he was probably saying it to spare Seokjin’s feelings, he didn’t really know which option he preferred.
No. Taehyung wanted to scream out, but instead kept his mouth shut, shrugging in response which stirred emotions within Seokjin that were foreign, far from the familiar ones he was accustomed to, Taehyung kept his eyes trained on his bowl, admiring how pretty it looked, the colors blended well together and complimented one another, not knowing that Seokjin was already stewing in his seat, like a kettle left unattended that was going to blow off anytime soon.
“Ah. I see. Well, have fun.” He managed to reply, keeping his voice as steady as possible, without giving away the fact that he wanted to explode and beg Taehyung not to go. But what reason did he have to prevent him from doing so? He stood up and headed towards the bathroom to freshen up before his dreaded date.
As soon as he was done, he carefully picked out his attire for tonight, if he had to sit through God knows how many hours, faking his happiness, he wanted to at least look presentable while doing so. Ever since Taehyung came into his life, he managed to talk Seokjin into selling most of his luxury items, only keeping that ones he absolutely refused to let go of, how Taehyung managed to do that, no one really knows, but if you asked Jimin he would simply imply that Seokjin was whipped beyond reason and would probably jump out of the window if Taehyung pleaded him to.
He decided on a pair of beige trousers that were tailor made, enhancing his long legs, and a crisp black button down, which he neatly tucked into his trousers. Seokjin styled his hair a little, brushing it up as he kept the strands of hair away from his forehead.
“Taehyung-ah, I’m going to leave soon, do you need me to drop you off or will your date pick you up?” The word date had venom laced into it, Seokjin was starting to hate it.
Taehyung had his mouth wide open as he took in Seokjin’s appearance, wondering if he was always this attractive and how he never noticed it until now.
“I-it’s fine. I’ll manage. H-have fun, hyung.” He forced a smile that was unable to meet his eyes. Moving past Seokjin to get ready as well.
“Okay. See you later, Taehyung. Text me if you need anything.” Seokjin yelled out before shutting the front door. The apartment suddenly felt so empty.
Taehyung had to get his shit together, he agreed to a date and even if he wasn’t feeling up to it, he had to follow through. He dressed himself in a pastel pink top which was mildly sheer enough have his tan skin on display, flowers tastefully stitched on it, matching it with sleek white trousers. He curled his hair a little, sighing as he attempted to figure out why he felt so disappointed when he knew next to nothing about his date, heck, he didn’t even bother to ask for his name. Better to get it over with, he thought, as he exited the premises to hail himself a taxi that would take him to his destination.
The roads were unfamiliar and soon enough, he was heading towards the outskirts of the city, it was a beautiful night outside, a full moon too, but Taehyung couldn’t bring himself to feel a tinge of excitement towards it.
He arrived at a small restaurant, managed by an old couple, he smiled as he approached the old lady who was manning the front desk.
“Hi, this is going to sound crazy but I don’t even know the name of the person I was supposed to meet, but maybe my name was listed ahead of time? Kim Taehyung.”
She instantly returned his smile as soon as she heard his name. “Ah yes, Yoongichi told me about you. That sweet boy.”c
“You know Yoongi? Are you sure were talking about the same Yoongi right now? He joked, earning a giggle from the old lady.
“He’s my grandson. And you’re just as funny as your date. Follow me this way, please.”
She led him through a narrow passage way, heading towards the back door which led them outside, the cold breeze greeted him as he stepped on small pebbles as he was brought to a modest gazebo, pretty fairy lights strung around the area, illuminating it. His date had his back turned to him but Taehyung’s heart reacted before his brain did, aggressively thumping against his chest, he could recognize that back anywhere, for he held it against his chest on a nightly basis.
Taehyung couldn’t comprehend what was happening but it didn’t matter, his night just took a turn for the better, the moment he recognized Seokjin. He walked towards the other end of the table, while Seokjin was busy furiously typing something on his phone. Taking a seat with a huge grin on his face, the metal feet of the chair resounded in the otherwise quiet garden, prompting Seokjin to look up at the source.
“Oh, I’m sorry, where are my manners, I was only sending a message to my roommate since he hasn’t been picking up my calls and..”
For the second time that day, his words died on his tongue. Breath caught in his throat.
“Hi. Nice to meet you, I’m your date for tonight, Kim Taehyung.” He extended his hand, portraying the role of a complete stranger, smile never leaving his face.
“W-what? Taehyung-ah, what are you doing here?” Seokjin couldn’t believe that Taehyung was sitting in front of him, a feeling of relief washing over him at the sight of a very familiar face. He couldn’t help but admire how dressed up Taehyung was, he has always been beyond gorgeous in Seokjin’s eyes, first thing in the morning with his fluffy hair standing in every direction, in the middle of the day when he calmly painted in peace, and right before sleeping as he seemed to never run out of questions to ask Seokjin, Taehyung had always been the pinnacle of beauty in Seokjin’s adoring eyes. But somehow, tonight, he was beginning to view Taehyung’s beauty with a different set of eyes.
“Are you going to leave your date hanging over here? Handshake please?” Taehyung teased, rolling his eyes, Seokjin gave in to Taehyung’s whims as always, shaking his hand.
“I don’t understand this.” Seokjin responded with a chuckle.
“It’s okay, maybe some things aren’t meant to be understood, tonight, we’re strangers on a first date.” His giggle was contagious, a melody Seokjin could listen to day in and day out.
They were already at the designated venue anyway, it would be a shame to put good food to waste, and the idea didn’t sound too bad, Seokjin didn’t really care if they were there as strangers, as friends, or maybe even as something more. The last part left Seokjin wondering if he’s ever considered the last option longer than he would have liked to admit to himself, there was a huge possibility that it’s always been there, hidden between domesticated moments, beneath chaste kisses placed on Taehyung’s head, and he failed to acknowledge these ever-growing feelings.
“I’d like that. My name’s Kim Seokjin, pleased to make your acquaintance.” He decided to humor Taehyung by joining in.
He told himself that if tonight changed the way he viewed Taehyung, then so be it, he would gladly recognize the emotions that came along with it.
“I checked out the menu earlier and I think you’d like the.. wait, no, nevermind. We’re supposed to be strangers. Please order whatever you’d like.” Seokjin giggled, handing Taehyung the menu, at the back of his mind, he could probably guess what Taehyung wanted. Being around someone on a daily basis gave Seokjin a good grasp on Taehyung’s interests, in all honesty, he knew Taehyung like the back of his hand, and the scarier part was, Taehyung was the same towards Seokjin.
“I’m going to go out on a whim and presume that you want the Tartufo pasta, and this is totally not because I know you so well, Mr. Stranger.” His sarcasm was dripping, and Taehyung was clearly enjoying this little role play simulation they were engaged in.
They ended up ordering their preferred dishes, and did the whole getting to know each other façade, even if they were more than well acquainted with each other, taking turns asking personal questions about each other. Seokjin ordered a bottle of red wine while they waited for their main dishes.
The night grew deeper, and so did their questions. Tonight was like a free pass that would give them ground to ask these unfiltered questions without any restraints, tonight they weren’t Kim Seokjin and Kim Taehyung, roommates, but rather Kim Seokjin and Kim Taehyung, strangers on a first date.
“So, we’ve never discussed this, but have you ever been in love, Taehyung-ah?” Sipping on his wine, his chin resting on top of his closed fist.
“I don’t think so. I mean, I’ve dated before coming to the city, but they never worked out because my life back at home was shitty, and those events emotionally traumatized me, but you already know that. Have you ever been in love, hyung?” Unlike a normal first date, Taehyung felt confident to open up regarding touchy subjects like this, because it was Seokjin.
Seokjin was deep in thought, carefully mulling over his choice of words in his head before responding, swirling the red liquid around the glass. “I thought I was, a long time ago, but now that I think about it, I don’t think it was love.”
“Why? What makes you say that?” Now Taehyung was curious, leaning in closer as if he was about to listen in on a secret.
“Because I liked being with him, but not enough to want it on a 24 hour basis. I enjoyed his company, but discovered that he wasn’t the first thought that popped into my head in the morning nor the last one that left my mind at night. I thought he was endearing, but couldn’t accept the flaws that came with his personality. I thought I loved him, but it turned out to not be love in the end.”
As Seokjin uttered the words, he realized how he could relate to those things with Taehyung as well, but had entirely different reactions towards them. Seokjin didn’t mind spending every waking hour with Taehyung by his side, it was the comfortable kind of quiet with him. Taehyung never failed to enter his mind the minute he wakes up, acting on instinct, he has grown used to patting the left side of the bed, checking if Taehyung was still asleep, and doing the same before drifting off to sleep, Taehyung’s arms around him became his lullaby. And from the moment Taehyung stepped into his apartment and retold the details about the life he came from, he decided right then and there that he would wholeheartedly accept Taehyung, flaws and all.
He sat in silence for a while, realizing that this meant something else, something unfamiliar, something he’s been denying to himself ever since.
He was in love with his roommate.
Because if all that wasn’t love, he wasn’t sure what love was anymore. The realization didn’t come in the form of an overwhelming surge of emotions that appeared out of nowhere, but reaching an acceptance stage because those emotions have always been there. Those feelings were never grandiose nor ostentatious, but they were humble and simple, stemming from a deep foundation of friendship that eventually blossomed into something undeniable.
Realizing that he was in love with Taehyung wasn’t as earth shattering like Seokjin initially expected, instead it was calm, like how a river meets the sea.
Taehyung took a swig from his glass, leaning in even closer. “Why hyung? What’s your definition of love? Now I’m curious.” He giggled.
Love could be so simple, so easy.
Like how things were with Taehyung.
Seokjin sucked in a deep breath before responding, leaning in closer as well, meeting Taehyung in the middle.
“You.”
Taehyung leaned back a little closer, eyes blinking at a rapid speed. “What do you mean?”
Suddenly, the puzzle pieces fell into place.
“You are my definition of love. Love is you, Taehyung-ah.”
Saying it like those words were casual phrases passing by, but Seokjin couldn’t help it, as soon as he acknowledged his feelings, things started to seem so easy, it was so damn easy to love Taehyung, wishing he realized this earlier.
Dumbfounded as he completely leaned back, resting his back against the cool metal chair. Yoongi’s grandmother came over to serve the main dishes, to which Seokjin thanked her for, while Taehyung was reeling from Seokjin’s response, unable to recover from it.
“Your food’s going to get cold, Taehyung. Cold steak isn’t appetizing.” Seokjin muttered, slicing Taehyung’s steak into bite sized strips like he always did.
“Y-you can’t just say that and suddenly remind me that my food might get cold. That’s not how this works.” Taehyung managed to mutter out.
Everything started to make sense. His frustration with Seokjin upon discovering that he agreed to go on a date, it was jealousy all along. No matter who Seokjin was supposed to go out with, that person would never be enough for Seokjin, because it had to be him. He kept brushing his feelings away, burying them but they insistently kept on resurfacing, until he had to bury them again, but tonight, tonight was the night to welcome those feelings with open arms. Tonight he wanted to submerge and drown in those feelings.
“Oh? Then enlighten me, Taehyung, how does this work?” Seokjin’ smirked, pushing the plate containing the strips of meat towards Taehyung, almost like he was saying the rest is up to you now.
Taehyung couldn’t form coordinated ideas with the jumble of thoughts circling around his head, after realizing that he was not going to get anywhere without his coherent vocabulary, he was inclined to show Seokjin instead. Tugging on Seokjin’s necktie, pulling him towards the middle of the table, paying no mind that the end of the fabric was already dipping into the pasta sauce, Taehyung met him halfway across the table, closing his eyes as his lips met Seokjin’s, melting into the kiss.
No words were needed, his kiss was enough to convey every unspoken word.
His lips pressed against Seokjin’s, felt like coming home, the comfort it brought, the satisfaction it delivered.
They remained that way for a long period of time, completely immersed in each other, breaking the kiss to come up for air, Taehyung shyly moved back, eyes shining as he continued to stare into Seokjin’s.
Seokjin’s was turning into a pretty shade of pink, it was the first time Taehyung has ever seen him transform into a flustered mess, he awkwardly cleared his throat.
“So.. that was, um, wow. Okay, I’m clearly speechless.”
Giggling as he cocked one eyebrow, Taehyung replied.
“Good kind of speechless, I hope?”
“Oh. Definitely. We should.. um, eat. Our food. It’s getting.. cold.” Seokjin muttered lowly under his breath.
“I don’t know. I think I skipped straight ahead to dessert.” Taehyung continued to tease, followed by his thunderous laughter.
Seokjin almost choked on air. “Taehyung-ah, you’ll be the death of me. Eat.”
He decided to show mercy and follow Seokjin’s demand, placing a few strips of beef on Seokjin’s plate, while stealing a couple of mouthfuls of pasta from Seokjin’s.
Falling for Seokjin wasn’t like falling from a high altitude towards the ground, it felt like slowly easing your way through the air until you safely landed on your feet.
The fall wasn’t scary, it was reassuring.
For someone like Taehyung who never had a good example on how love should be, the home he grew up in clearly contained no traces of it whatsoever, but being with someone like Seokjin made him realize that it was all so pure, so easy to get a firm grasp on. He didn’t realize that he was falling until his feet safely landed on the ground below, he was too preoccupied bracing himself for the fall that he might have missed out on the scenery on the way down.
As he chewed on his food, he rested the side of his head against his hand, adoringly staring at Seokjin with a subtle grin on his face.
“Why are you staring? Do I have something on my face?” He brushed the sides of his mouth with his fingers, self-conscious to have Taehyung’s intense gaze solely focused on him.
“Nothing. I’ve safely landed.”
“Landed where? Tae-ah, are you drunk??”
“Nope. Tell you later.” He giggled, enjoying how much it was frustrating Seokjin that he had no clue about what Taehyung was rambling on about.
Yoongi’s grandmother approached them again asking them if they wanted to order dessert.
“No, I’m good, halmeoni, already had dessert earlier.” Taehyung remarked, ignoring the mortified look on Seokjin’s face. He lived for moments like this.
“Must have been quite the treat if you’re already full.” She joined in on the teasing, gaining a brief idea already.
“Oh, it was. The absolute sweetest. Tasted like cherries.” Taehyung proudly stated, and Seokjin was about to burst with how red he was getting, slumping down on the seat as he helplessly listened in.
“C-check please.” He interrupted, not sure how much more embarrassment he could handle.
As soon as she left chuckling, Seokjin sent Taehyung a menacing glare.
“What? Okay fine, it tasted better than cherries.” His laugh boomed across the gazebo causing Seokjin to groan.
“You’re a brat, you know that?”
“Oh? Tame me then.” Taehyung shot back.
He was constantly equipped with sassy remarks, it was one of the things Seokjin secretly adored about him.
Seokjin sat back, with his mouth glued shut. He didn’t have anything to respond to that, cheeks puffing up as he attempted to suppress his laughter from escaping.
“Okay, okay, I’ll stop.” Taehyung retorted.
They ended their dinner date on a good note, not yet openly addressing the apparent elephant in the room, sure they kissed, but haven’t explicitly spoken about the implications behind that kiss. Since Seokjin brought his car, Taehyung rode with him on the way back to their shared apartment. There were small conversations in between but the atmosphere surrounding them was thick, both wanting to say numerous things but neither one initiating the conversation.
The moment the elevator doors shut, something snapped between them. Like two hungry animals who were starving they both ardently lunged towards one another, mouths slotted together, in an attempt to hungrily consume one another. Seokjin hit his back against the steel wall of the elevator, Taehyung caging him in, bringing one leg and inserting it in between Seokjin’s, causing him to moan in Taehyung’s mouth.
“We’re on.. the.. same.. page.. with this, right?” Taehyung mewled out in between heated kisses, tongue diving back in after he managed to get his words out.
Seokjin harshly tugged the back of Taehyung’s head, giving him ample space to access his neck, sucking and lapping his tongue to soothe the sore spots he left behind.
“Ok.. I’ll.. take it.. uh, right there, hyung.. as a.. yes.” Taehyung’s mind was spinning while Seokjin continued to devour his neck.
The elevator beeped, indicating that the door was going to automatically open soon.
“Hyung, I think we need to stop or else the grumpy old lady next door might secretly kill our plants when we’re not around if she sees us like this.” Taehyung said with a giggle, brushing his hair in an attempt to look more presentable and not totally fucked out.
After leaving one last bite on Taehyung’s neck, he released him and straightened out his tie, promptly stepping out of the elevator like nothing happened, as soon as it opened.
And the façade was short-lived, as soon as their apartment door opened, Seokjin pinned Taehyung against the wall, reversing the roles this time, as he eagerly claimed his lips, tongue darting in almost as if it was second nature. Taehyung moaned as he readily accepted whatever Seokjin had in store for him, body instantly pliant under Seokjin’s touch. He lifted up one of his legs, curling it behind Seokjin, drawing him in closer, as his hands frantically tugged on Seokjin’s hair, deepening the kiss.
Their bodies felt like they were on fire, Taehyung began to unbutton Seokjin’s top, the fabric soon making it’s way on the floor. He’s seen Seokjin half-naked plenty of times, but tonight, it was like he was seeing him for the first time all over again. Tonight, he could freely admire Seokjin and not feel guilty while doing so. Taehyung craned his neck, wanting to feel Seokjin’s lips on it again, and Seokjin immediately understood the assignment, hungrily lapping his way across Taehyung’s neck, sucking on it hard enough to leave bruises and marks.
“Want you. Hyung. Want you so bad.” Taehyung whimpered as his neck was currently being bruised all over.
“How long have you wanted this?” Seokjin spoke, breath tickling his neck as it fanned across his skin.
His eyes started to roll at the back of his head, while Seokjin began to unbutton his shirt, buttons opening one by one until Taehyung could feel the cool breeze hit his chest. “Long enough. Fuck, I don’t even know, I’ve imagined this for so long.” Taehyung murmured out, his voice was dripping with need.
“Let me see you, Taehyung-ah.”
Taehyung started to feel self-conscious. “But you’ve already seen me lots of times.” Placing both hands on his chest, in a poor attempt to conceal his skin.
“I know. But I want to really look at you, freely. I want to admire you. Will you let hyung do that?”
He eventually succumbed, removing his hands as Seokjin stepped back a bit to admire every part of Taehyung, from the way his hips were sloped, to his perfectly sculpted chest, to the way his hip bones were peeking out, enticing Seokjin further. Taehyung was art in it’s purest form, meant to be admired and worshipped in every possible way.
“My lovely Taehyung-ah, I could stare at you all day.” Seokjin sighed, making Taehyung fidget as he stood beneath Seokjin’s intense gaze.
He grabbed Taehyung’s legs, lifting him up as he pinned him against the wall once more, Taehyung automatically wrapping his legs securely around Seokjin’s waist, maintaining his balance. Taehyung couldn’t deny how sexy it was that Seokjin managed to lift him up as if he weighed nothing. He claimed Taehyung’s lips, tongue diving in as Taehyung proceeded to lustfully suck on Seokjin’s tongue, enticing a whine out of the elder.
“Bedroom.” Taehyung whispered.
Seokjin carried him into the bedroom as Taehyung continued to hold onto Seokjin like a koala, giggling as he was being whisked off to another room, playfully dangling his legs in the air.
He was gently lowered onto the bed, back hitting the plush cushions underneath, as Seokjin hovered above him, gazing into his eyes as he slowly lowered himself to give Taehyung a kiss on each cheek, and lastly, one on his lips. Gestures that were all too familiar yet starkly different.
“Before this escalates any further, let me just get this out of my system.” Seokjin whispered, as Taehyung listened intently.
“I love you. No, let me rephrase that, I am horrendously in love with you, Kim Taehyung. Not as a friend, especially not as a roommate, but as a man.”
Taehyung looked up at him from beneath his long lashes, already feeling the emotions whirling across his system. “This isn’t fair. Is this what you’re supposed to tell someone before sex? Make them cry a little, cause them to become emotionally vulnerable before fucking them into the next world?”
Seokjin couldn’t prevent his laughter from escaping, of course Taehyung had an unexpected response which completely caught Seokjin off guard, it was one of the many things that endeared him the most. Life was just so much brighter with Taehyung around.
“And who says I’m going to fuck you?” Seokjin teased. “I only confessed, don’t remember ever mentioning fucking.”
Taehyung rolled his eyes. “Yeah, but your dick says otherwise.” Pointing towards Seokjin’s apparent erection. “I’m despicably in love with you too. In case you haven’t noticed by now. When you first opened your apartment door and welcomed me in, I thought to myself, wow, people are insanely nice around here. It took me a while to realize that it was all you. You restored my faith. I could’ve been a serial killer on the loose, but you still let me in.”
“You? A serial killer? You’re too sweet to be one. If your sweet demeanor doesn’t give you away, your boxy smile would for sure.” Seokjin retorted.
“Hey, you never know. It could be a disguise! A really good one at that.” Taehyung claimed in response. “Point is, you accepted me for me. No matter how heavy the baggage I carried around was. How could I possibly not fall in love with you?” Taehyung added, a smile appearing on his face.
“And how could I hurl profanities towards you when you came knocking at my door in an ungodly hour? Letting you in was one of the best decisions of my life.” With an equally enamored look on his face, Seokjin stated.
“One of the? What are the others?” Taehyung asked, brows furrowed.
“This right here. This very moment.” Seokjin leaned in to place what started out as a chaste kiss on Taehyung’s lips, eventually turning into a more passionate one, making Taehyung gasp as he curled his fingers across Seokjin’s hair, pulling him in even closer. If Taehyung had to pick out one of his favorite moments in life, this moment would definitely make the cut.
The kiss grew heated as Taehyung’s hands travelled across Seokjin’s body, clawing and grabbing every expanse of exposed skin he could get a hold of. He felt Seokjin’s erection as he palmed his bulge, gently stroking it, eliciting explicit moans out of Seokjin. “Let me taste you, hyung.” He panted out, watching with an immense amount of want as Seokjin slowly pulled down his zipper and unbuttoned his jeans, kicking the garment to the floor. Even in his underwear Taehyung could instantly tell how massive he was, salivating at the sight. Seokjin stood beside the bed, noticing how Taehyung watched him with a pair of alluring eyes, dead-set on witnessing him undress in front of him. Seokjin carefully lowered his boxers on both sides, exposing more than enough, yet Taehyung needed more, whining as Seokjin teasingly took his sweet time, smirking as he watched Taehyung watch him.
“Somebody’s enjoying the view a little too much.” He teased.
“..Or not nearly enough. Hyung! Off with the boxers already.” Taehyung demanded, his tone whiny and petulant.
Seokjin giggled, lowering his boxers at an agonizing pace, when he was halfway done and Taehyung could clearly see his member, his eyes automatically widened in response.
“Bigger than you expected?”
“So much bigger. Is that thing even going to fit in me??” Taehyung hesitantly questioned.
“I’ll take care of you, baby. Don’t worry.” Seokjin stated before fully pulling down his boxers, freeing his visibly hard member.
Taehyung couldn’t help but feel intimidated as he got into a kneeling position on the ground, pushing Seokjin on to the bed, firmly pressing both open palms on top of each of Seokjin’s thighs, he glanced up at him, batting his long eyelashes before kissing the head of his member, watching how the trifling movement caused Seokjin to shut his eyes as he tilted his head back, prompting Taehyung to want to discover his other reactions. He darted his tongue out, licking one long stripe upwards, sending a toe curling sensation to Seokjin as he cursed out profanities. At this point, Taehyung was being driven by Seokjin’s honest arousal, going at a quicker pace, he continued to lick stripes all over his member, each side getting coated with saliva, as Seokjin’s moans grew louder, hand suddenly grabbing the back of Taehyung’s hair.
“Shit. So good. Your tongue feels so warm.” He mewled out, grabbing as fistful of hair before pushing Taehyung’s head back down to carry on with what he was doing. Taehyung swirled his tongue around the head, darting in and out of the slit, alternating between sucking the head, sending Seokjin into overdrive with the various sensations. Without warning, he dove right in, taking in as much as Seokjin as he could as he felt his tears slightly welling up, he relaxed his throat, diving even further. Seokjin felt his entire body ignite with pure want as Taehyung continued to consume him, momentarily diving up for air, only to plunge down deeper, getting in more of Seokjin’s member until he was practically choking.
Taehyung had drool dripping out from the corners of his mouth, as he looked up to gaze at Seokjin while he pleasured him, heightening Seokjin’s arousal by tenfold. Seokjin yanked his hair to signify him to halt, he didn’t want to cum during foreplay. “Enough. I might not be able to hold myself back, but you were so good for me, baby.” Peppering kisses on Taehyung’s face before kissing him with a newfound intensity.
“Lay down for me.” Seokjin instructed, Taehyung obediently plopped down on the mattress, lifting his torso up as his feet remained planted on the bed.
“So eager, little tiger. Let hyung explore your body first, hmm? I want to cement this to my memory for a very long time.” He stated before attacking his neck, adding more purple colored bruises, making his way down to his chest, where his hand fondled one nipple as he took the other one in his mouth, gently nibbling on it while his hand twisted and pressed on the other one causing Taehyung to let out a beautiful symphony of moans, filling the room. After having his fill, Seokjin went even lower, both hands caressing the shape of Taehyung’s waist as they slid lower, resting on his hipbones, applying just the right amount of pressure as he licked his navel. His hands lowered Taehyung’s pants, he helped Seokjin out by lifting up his ass in the air, allowing Seokjin to drag the fabric down in one brisk movement until Taehyung was completely naked beneath him.
“You deserve to be worshipped every fucking day, my love.” He whispered, eyes trailing up and down as he took in Taehyung’s naked body. He placed both hands on his hipbones once again, the nails of his thumbs digging into Taehyung’s skin, as he softly sucked the skin right above Taehyung’s unattended member, and proceeded to lick the surrounding area, leaving the most important area untouched. He thrashed underneath Seokjin, yearning to be touched, Seokjin continued to tease him by licking the area around his member, the top part, the bottom part, the sides, everywhere except the area Taehyung needed.
“Hyuuuung.” He whined, God, even his whines were starting to sound sexy.
Seokjin cupped his balls, gently fondling them with his fingers, as he licked from the base, lowering himself until he was at eye level with Taehyung’s balls, teasingly sucking on them eliciting a harmony of moans and groans from Taehyung who was plaint under his touch. He abruptly stood up, finding his way through the darkness until his free hand landed on his bedside table, picking up a bottle of lube inside, he opened the cap and placed a hefty amount on his fingers, giving his attention back to Taehyung as he continued to fondle his balls. Taehyung gently lifted up his bottom area, giving Seokjin direct access to his entrance, feeling the cold slick from his fingers probing his entrance, carefully inserting one finger all the way in, causing Taehyung to arch his back in pleasure. After a couple of slow, steady thrusts, Seokjin inserted one more finger, and seeing how well Taehyung was able to take it, he hastily inserted another one, filling him up. While his tongue was preoccupied engulfing Taehyung’s balls, his fingers pursued his entrance, the pace steadily quickening as he penetrated his entrance, finding Taehyung’s prostate in the process, as Seokjin relentlessly hit the same area over and over again, until Taehyung was irrevocably seeing stars in the process, his muscles weakening, giving himself entirely to Seokjin.
Taehyung’s head tossed and turned to both sides, never at ease, as his back kept unintentionally arching and lowering back down, he was slowly turning into a mess under Seokjin’s skillful care, his moans loud enough to be heard several floors down, but he didn’t care, he was drowning in pleasure and enjoying every single moment of it.
A series of aahh, hyung, Seokjin, more could be heard bouncing across the four walls, along with the sound of wet slick pounding in and out of Taehyung.
“Come untouched for me, baby. I haven’t even touched that area yet. I want to see if you can do it for me.” Seokjin whispered, breath ghosting over Taehyung’s abandoned member which was already dripping with pre cum.
The sensations were making him delirious, Taehyung didn’t know what to do with his hands, so he ended up placing them on Seokjin’s head, gripping his hair with brute force as Seokjin persisted to destroy him with pleasure, he could feel himself slowly slipping, white noise ringing in his ears, he decided that it felt too good, too fucking good, he craned his head back, toes curling as he released. Completely untouched at that. Panting, as Seokjin gave him space to calm down from his high, climbing back up to leave kisses all over Taehyung’s face and neck. “You did so well, baby.” He purred, brushing the stray hair away from Taehyung’s sated features.
“But hyung’s not done yet.” Seokjin added. “Can you still continue?”
Taehyung nodded almost instantly, feeling the arousal build up again. Taehyung got on his knees and set himself in an upright position, leaning in as he pulled his upper body closer to his thighs, his ass remained lifted up in the air, ready as ever.
“Wow. Okay, you clearly know your stuff, Tae-ah.” Seokjin mentioned with a snicker, admiring how flexible Taehyung was.
“I just want you in me, hyung. I want to feel you until I can’t feel anything else.” Taehyung muttered, keeping his position steady as he anticipated Seokjin’s next move.
Seokjin wasn’t insane to decline a clear invitation, he quickly poured some lube over his member, giving it a few gentle strokes until it was covered with lube, positioning himself behind Taehyung, he held either side of Taehyung’s thighs, slowly entering from behind him. Taehyung winced at the undeniable stretch he was experiencing due to how gifted Seokjin was, his fingernails digging into his upper thighs as he sucked in his breath, giving his body enough time to readjust around Seokjin’s length. Once he was all the way in, he slowly began to pull out, and plunging in again, keeping a slow and steady pace at first until Taehyung got used to the burn. It was a considerate act, Taehyung thought, like how Seokjin constantly was. Once the pain became bearable, he started to moan as Seokjin picked up the pace, thrusting in deeper with more force than earlier, Taehyung felt relaxed enough to look over his shoulder, straight into Seokjin’s eyes as he seductively bit his lower lip, releasing a loud moan right after. Seokjin began to grip on his thighs tighter, slamming his hips against Taehyung, as he felt how submissive Taehyung became during sex, it was hot, better than he could have ever imagined. The normally sassy Taehyung became a pliant and moaning mess as he continued to unravel beneath Seokjin, actively reacting to each hard thrust released.
The pace became brutal, going slightly out of rhythm as Seokjin began to intensely plow into Taehyung, the sounds of skin slapping against one another filled the room along with Taehyung’s high pitched moans, Seokjin’s mind was clouded with lust.
“Fuck. I love you. I really do, Taehyung-ah.” He whimpered out, a sweet announcement in contrast to how hard he was fucking Taehyung senseless.
Taehyung glanced over his shoulder once again, breathless, as he took Seokjin’s breath away by how naturally gorgeous he looked. “I love you more, my hyungie.”
Taehyung released one hand and started lazily stroking himself while Seokjin proceeded to take everything that he could from Taehyung, feeling the urge to release once again by how loud Seokjin was chanting his name in a repetitive manner, throwing in a few profanities alongside it. Taehyung was dizzy with how aroused he was, all these sensations combining into one heated moment, after a couple more stern strokes, he released, ruining the pristine mattress underneath him. Witnessing Taehyung pleasure himself until he released was more than enough to send Seokjin over the edge, grunting as his thrusts lost the initial rhythm he started off with, breath becoming uneven as he felt an eruption like no other, clinging on to Taehyung as he released inside him, feeling the warm liquid fill Taehyung up.
As soon as the adrenaline rush died down, Taehyung collapsed on to the bed, Seokjin soon following suit beside him, Taehyung wrapped his arms around him, placing gentle kisses on his face, as he started to laugh.
“I hope you’re not laughing because of sex because if you are..” Seokjin blurted out.
“No, no. It’s just… who would’ve thought? It took as one unexpected date to make us realize our feelings for each other and now we’re here, wrapped up in each other’s arms.” Taehyung muttered out, straightening out the wrinkles that were starting to form on Seokjin’s forehead as he furrowed his brows. He playfully pinched the bridge of Seokjin’s nose instead.
“That’s because I’m stubborn and you’re slightly insane at times.”
“Heeeey!” Taehyung countered, playfully shoving Seokjin.
“I wasn’t done. Therefore, we make a perfect match. You turn me into this docile person, and I’d like to think that I keep you sane whenever I’m around.”
Well, Taehyung couldn’t refute that.
“Either way, I’m glad it happened. We wasted so much time when we could’ve been doing.. this.” Seokjin softly spoke out as he pulled Taehyung closer, inhaling his scent as he embraced Taehyung, keeping him safe within his arms. Although Seokjin enjoyed the fast paced aspects like the sex they had earlier, he reveled in the slow, intimate moments such as this one, holding on to Taehyung while they laid in bed.
“Me too, hyung, me too.” Taehyung whispered, before planting an innocent kiss on Seokjin’s cheek.
That night, Taehyung managed to change Seokjin’s life for the better, for the second time around.
The next day, they made a mutual agreement to let their friends know that they were finally dating after years of dancing around the situation, but not before having their fair share of fun with them first.
They invited their friends over for dinner the next day, Jimin, Yoongi and Jungkook were the first to arrive, shortly followed by Hoseok and Namjoon, apparently they already knew each other but did an awful job at pretending that it was their first time meeting, Seokjin could barely contain the scoff he was holding as they made “introductions” to one another, but at the same time, he knew he had to thank them in the future for bringing him and Taehyung together.
“So, hyung, how was the date I set you up on?” Hoseok questioned, looking over at Taehyung who was animatedly talking with Jimin in the corner.
“Oh. He was really sweet. We’re dating now.”
“Oh my God finally!!!” Hoseok exclaimed.
“…Thanks for introducing me to Woo, Hobi. Such a great guy.” Seokjin added, a mischievous glint in his eye.
Hoseok looked just as lost as he felt. “Wait, what? Who?”
“Woo. You know, the guy you set me up on a date on?” Seokjin reiterated with a blank look on his face, he didn’t participate in theatre back in college for nothing, his acting chops paying off.
Hoseok was clearly stunned, sending Namjoon a knowing look and one of those weird couple telepathic signals that only the two of them understood. “A-ah. Of course. Woo. Great guy. Awesome, even. Happy to know that you two.. hit it off.” He muttered with a clearly forced smile.
In the other side of the room, Yoongi steadily approached Taehyung to not-so-subtly inquire about how his previous date with Seokjin went.
“Taehyung-ah, about that date I set you up on..”
“Ah, it was wonderful. I think I met my soulmate.” Taehyung interrupted, sporting a dreamy look on his face.
“Yeah, took you long enough to realize that he was your soulmate.” Yoongi retorted with a smug look on his face.
“What do you mean? We just met last Saturday? We’re taking about Shin, right?” Taehyung was doing an amazing job with fooling Yoongi, causing him to almost spit out his drink with how startled he was to hear an unfamiliar name.
Yoongi was flustered, briefly glancing at Jimin who looked just as bewildered. “Yeah, Shin. Uh, glad to know that you’re happy, Tae.” Walking towards the other side of the room to suddenly strike up a conversation with Hoseok, Taehyung was barely able to contain the giggles from escaping, but he and Seokjin weren’t done yet.
They were instructed to have a seat at the dining table while Seokjin made the final adjustments to his dishes, Taehyung walked over to him, hugging him from behind as usual, well-aware that he had five sets of eyes following his movements, he suddenly nibbled on Seokjin’s neck, and Seokjin merely giggled in response.
“Whoa. Okay, is this.. still normal for them?” Jimin questioned, looking around for answers.
“Aren’t they dating different people now?” An equally confused Jungkook cited out.
And as if that wasn’t enough to throw them off, while heading towards the dining table to bring some of the dishes over, Taehyung walked ahead of Seokjin, when Seokjin grabbed Taehyung’s ass like it was nothing. Hoseok almost fell out of his chair when he witnessed what just transpired, thankfully, Namjoon was holding on to his knee.
“What the fuck just happened?” Namjoon sputtered out.
They all pretended to act like nothing happened during dinner, talking about random subjects, but they couldn’t help how Taehyung was even flirtier than usual, playfully shoving Seokjin each time he would throw in a joke, laughing louder than usual.
They almost let the previous incidents go, but as soon as Taehyung was finished with his dinner, he stood up and sat on top of Seokjin’s lap, tossing his arms around his neck as he leaned in to give him a peck on the lips.
“Thanks for dinner, hyung. You’re the best roommate ever.” He added with a sensual tone, voice dropping down several octaves.
Everyone seemed to have dropped their jaws to the floor, they couldn’t comprehend what was happening, and couldn’t decide whether or not it was rude to question what the hell they were doing.
“Uh, is this okay with Shin?” Wiping a clean napkin across his mouth Yoongi broke his silence.
“Mmhmm. Why wouldn’t it be?” Taehyung answered, but not before playfully tugging on Seokjin’s earlobe, with his teeth. The shock on their friends’ faces were priceless.
“Because you’re basically making out with your roommate?” It seemed that Namjoon was no longer able to restrain himself, earning a scolding glance from Hoseok, who was frantically shaking his head.
“Making out? No, no. If we were making out, we would be doing something like this.” Seokjin replied, gently grabbing Taehyung’s chin as he captured his lips, this was clearly anything but a friendly kiss.
“WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING??” Slamming his hands against the wooden desk in frustration, Jimin shrieked, Taehyung started laughing as soon as he heard Jimin’s voice boom across the room, apparently it was time to put an end to their sufferings. Seokjin bursted out laughing soon after, ignoring the surprised reactions from his friends, and Jimin, who practically had veins popping out of his neck due to how angry he was getting.
“Do you want me to explain first or should we apologize first?” Taehyung mentioned in the middle of regaining his composure, but ultimately failing as he started chuckling again.
Hands on his hips, Jimin was not amused. “How about both??”
“It’s okay, baby, I’ll take over.” Placing a kiss on Taehyung’s cheek, Seokjin started clearing things out.
“Long story short, your plan worked. We were two oblivious idiots who were obviously in love with each other, and now, we’re officially dating.” He said with a genuine smile across his face, hoping thar their friends would forgive them for playing a prank.
Jimin’s demeanor instantly changed, features softening as soon as he heard that they were finally dating. “Oh my God guys, is this for real this time? No Woo or Shin or whoever the fuck?”
Taehyung laughed as he nodded to give Jimin the answer he wanted. He jumped and immediately brought the both of them in for a hug, tears of joy threatening to spill out.
“Oh thank goodness. I was having a nervous breakdown because I thought you guys were committing adultery and we had to sit here and bear witness to that.” Clutching a hand against his chest, Hoseok softly spoke out.
Jungkook ran towards them and gave them both a hug as well. “Congratulations, hyungs! You deserve to be happy. With each other.”
Namjoon and Yoongi chimed in, giving them their sincere congratulations, Yoongi repeatedly claiming that he was this close to throwing up thanks to their incessant public displays of affection, making the others laugh.
“I owe you guys dinner and drinks soon, but for tonight, I want to spend time with my new boyfriend.” Seokjin spoke out, ignoring the gagging motions he received from his friends, they headed out soon after, giving the couple privacy.
Taehyung plopped down on the sofa after a tiring day of entertaining their friends plus putting on an act for them, Seokjin followed after putting away the dishes, finding a space reserved just for him in Taehyung’s arms.
“You happy, Tae-ah?” He turned his head to the side to take a closer look at Taehyung, pure adoration filled his chest.
“With you? Always, hyung. Are you?” His long, slender fingers began softly brushing the ends of Seokjin’s hair.
“As long as I have you, I’ll always be happy.” He caught Taehyung’s hand that was resting on his hair, intertwining their fingers together as they sat in comfortable silence, when Taehyung abruptly stood up, alarming a startled Seokjin.
“What? What’s wrong? Are you hurt?”
“No. Wait. Sit down. I remembered that I have to give you something.” Taehyung replied before running off to his makeshift studio, coming out a few seconds later with a sketchbook in his hand.
“Proof that I have loved you longer than you expected.” He timidly handed Seokjin the sketchbook, the first sketch shocked Seokjin when he noticed the date inscribed on it, it was exactly two weeks after Taehyung started living with him, as he flipped through the pages, there were countless of different sketches, all containing portraits of Seokjin, some even focused on specific body parts, like his ear or his broad shoulders by the stove. It was like seeing himself through Taehyung’s eyes, how he viewed Seokjin since he started living with him. Touched was an understatement, this was single-handedly the most moving notion Seokjin has ever experienced in his life. The purest and most sincere declaration of love. The last sketch of him revealed last night’s date, Taehyung probably created it while Seokjin was fast asleep, it was a rough charcoal sketch of Seokjin’s sleeping face, tears began to fall, and once Seokjin got started, it was hard to contain.
Taehyung wrapped his arms around him, letting him cry on his shoulder. “Oh no hyung, it wasn’t my intention to make you cry. Just thought that this would be the ideal time to show you what I’ve been working on for these past few years. It’s all you, hyung. It was always you.”
His words made Seokjin sob even harder. “These are happy tears. What did I do to ever deserve you?”
“Well, for starters, you let a complete stranger into your home and your life.” Taehyung began to tease, relaxing as soon as he heard Seokjin snickering at his remark.
“I have something for you too.” He reached into his pocket, pulling out a sparkly necklace which contained a key and a heart locket attached to it. “This here, is the key to this apartment, and.. don’t laugh, okay? God, this is so cheesy but I want to do it anyway, because that’s what love is, doing embarrassing things to make your partner happy. This one here, is the key to my heart. Both are yours to keep.” He quickly handed the necklace to Taehyung, hiding his face behind his hands, too embarrassed to face Taehyung after that. Taehyung put on the necklace, beaming as soon as he locked it, he carefully removed Seokjin’s hands from his face, kissing his lips repeatedly.
“I love you, you are the cutest, sweetest and most thoughtful boyfriend ever. Thanks for not slamming the door at my face that one morning.”
Seokjin’s made a lot of misguided decisions in his life, but one thing that he was the most thankful for, was treading towards the door during one groggy morning, opening it to reveal, what he didn’t know that time, the love of his life.
Taehyung not only filled his apartment with more clutter and memories, but also managed to fill his life with something Seokjin needed, love.
End.
