Uki's eyelids fluttered open with rays of sunlight peering from the windows.
Still in a state of sleep, his hand felt around the other side of the bed, frowning slightly once he realised that his husband, Sonny Brisko, wasn't in range.
He figured that his husband was most definitely at work, and he remembered Sonny mentioning the fact that this week would be more busy than normal. This meant that he would be arriving home at later times, and so Uki was opted to stay home alone.
Aside from the few servants and butlers around the house, there was no one else he could exactly spark up a conversation with.
Since Sonny was the child of rich parents, he automatically owned this huge mansion as well as having servants and butlers to aid him, and take care of the place when he was gone for work.
With Uki being married into this wealthy family, he owned every privilege Sonny had. It came to no surprise when Uki first moved in, he'd already known that Sonny's family was rich, but to be fair, Sonny only told him that after they'd already been dating.
After knowing that, Uki was spoiled with riches and treasures provided by Sonny despite the amount of times he'd refused. Sonny explained that he wanted to give Uki everything he desired, considering Uki's claims to not wanting anything but his love.
Speaking of love, Uki terribly misses the other. He couldn't help but snuggle into the pillow that Sonny uses for his head. His limbs now sprawled out across the bed as he nested his head onto Sonny's pillow with a whine, sniffing desperately to try catch even just a whiff of his husband.
Sighing into the comfort of the mattress, he decides that he should get off the bed in risks of staying in bed all day. He rather wanted to be more productive despite his limits of doing work and chores around the house. Since there were servants, whenever he wanted to help with something, he was never allowed to, and so his help was rejected by the people who were meant to do them anyway.
After a few moments of letting his eyes naturally adjust to the light, he stood up with a yawn and tidied their shared bed out of habit.
He then proceeded to clean himself up by doing his regular routine for the morning.

Upon gently trodding down the large, grand stairs, he witnessed a few maids cleaning some decorations around the main area of the mansion, greeting them all with a "Good morning," and smile.
"Uki." The head of the workers softly called out. If it were to be addressed to Sonny, 'master' would be the name due to habit, but since Uki wasn't used to being called with such authority, he ordered that all of them just call him by his name.
He preferred that more, and convinced them by explaining that since he wasn't allowed to aid with work, the least they could do for him was address him without formalities.
"Hm?" Uki hummed as he waited for further words.
"Master has said that he will not be home today till midnight, and that you shouldn't wait for him to sleep." The head of the butlers, relayed the message with a slight bow.
Uki's lips curved downwards at this, he would be alone for the whole day without his husband.
He knew he'd feel extremely bored without him, and just nodded with a visible frown on his countenance, not looking forward to the point in which he'd have to go through trouble to find something to distract his mind with.
"Okay then..." Uki's head fell down as he travelled back into their shared room to grab his phone. He was going to exit the room so that he could eat breakfast.
Whilst eating, he stared at Sonny's contacts on his phone and resisted the urge to call him. He knew that his husband was busy today and probably wouldn't have time to chat.
Though, his thoughts were proven wrong when he jumped from sudden vibrations coming from his phone.
He thought for a moment that he'd accidentally pressed the call button, but when he looked again, it was Sonny calling him.
With that, he immediately swiped the screen to answer the call.
"Hello?" Uki spoke after the call was connected.
"Good morning, my love. Slept well?" Sonny asked from the other side of the phone.
"Yes, I did. Something the matter?" Uki questioned, knowing that since Sonny was busy, he wouldn't necessarily call him without a reason.
"Yeah... where are you right now?" Sonny asked.
"At home, near our bedroom, why?"
"Ah okay. Can you check something for me, darling?" Sonny nicknamed.
"Mhm, what is it?"
"I might have left a yellow folder on my desk, in my office. Can you see if it's still there?"
"Okay babe, gimme a minute." Uki spoke as he jogged to Sonny's office which was across the hall, and onto the right.
Uki then gently opened the door to be welcomed with piles of paper and documents on a messy desk that was quite intimidating to say the least.
The purple haired scanned his eyes on the desk and spoke again once he'd spotted a yellow folder.
"Yup, it's here."
"Okay then, can you get someone to bring it to me at my work? I would come get it myself but I'm too busy and can't leave the place." Sonny explained with a sigh.
"Okay, no worries." Uki assured as he picked up the yellow folder and held it in his grasp with a thought.
"What if I came and gave you it?" Uki offered, biting his lip as he waited for an answer, he was nervous since Sonny tended to be overprotective and didn't let Uki wander off by himself in fear of many situations.
"...Fine, but only if you have a bodyguard with you." Sonny permitted. Uki now had a wide grin as he spoke.
"Of course, don't worry Sonnyshine, I'll come and go safe and sound." Uki reassured.
"Alright then." Sonny spoke.
The call then ended after exchanging farewells and "see you soon" 's. Uki giggled as he knew Sonny couldn't deny the fact that he needed to see Uki too, and desperately.
He wasn't the only one suffering from the lack of affection between them, it was mutual.
So when Uki explained to the head of all workers that he needed a bodyguard to accompany him, they easily complied and led Uki to one of the many cars, explaining that a trusted bodyguard will drive him there and back as well as ensuring his safety along the way.
Uki then made his way to the car he was directed to, and entered it.
As soon as Uki had settled in the car's passenger seat, a bodyguard had taken the driver's seat and closed the door. Uki was familar with this guard as he'd recognised him from when Sonny had to leave their home for an emergency.
This bodyguard was the same one tasked to keep an eye on Uki till their master came back.
"All ready?" The vigorous guard asked Uki, making sure that he was set to go.
"Yup!" Uki claimed perhaps a bit too excitedly, but it was understandable since he'd be able to see his husband for even just a brief moment.

By this time, they had just arrived at the VSF headquarters. It was where Sonny worked, even if he didn't need to.
Sonny was rich enough as it is, but despite this, he still chose to work with a passionate mindset. It was one of the things he loved doing the most, and Uki knew how much Sonny's job meant to him.
He wouldn't have it any other way.
Since the door to the headquarters could only be accessed by people with a specific ID, Uki called Sonny to inform him of their arrival.
To which Sonny then appeared from the other side of the glass doors, wearing his typical VSF outfit and vest.
"Babe!" Uki greeted excitedly as his sunshine had gotten closer, his face finally in front of him. It really recharged him after waking up to an empty bed.
"Sweetheart, are you okay?" Sonny raised the question after seeing Uki being slightly emotional after seeing him.
"Mhm. And here." Uki spoke as he extended his arms that held the yellow folder Sonny had accidentally left at home.
The VSF commander seemed relieved to see the folder, and reached his hands forward to take it from Uki. Their hands grazed against each other whilst doing so, making Uki smile at the little contact between them.
"Thank you, my angel." Sonny thanked as the folder was now in his possession. "No problem." Uki smiled softly.
Suddenly, he took a single long stride towards his husband, making them within closer proximity as Uki had stolen a kiss from Sonny's lips.
The VSF officer immediately grinned at this cute gesture and placed his left hand behind Uki's head, his other hand was occupied by the folder, but that didn't stop him from bringing their faces closer together as they both now leaned in for a kiss.

Sonny requested, causing Uki to nod and eventually, they pulled apart, not forgetting to give a small embrace before Uki had retreated back into the car where his guard stayed.
He felt slight pity as the bodyguard was forced to wait for them to finish their moment, but at the same time he couldn't care as much, not when he was so desperate for his lover's touch.
With that, Uki sat back in the car and put his seatbelt on, satisfied with the kiss he just had.

Uki remembered though once he stumbled upon a wooden swing made for two people. Two cherry blossom trees stood tall behind the swing. It's petals falling onto the seat and the ground, making Uki believe that he was living in a dream.
He took his seat in the middle of the swing since he was by himself, and stared at the patches of flowers around him. He was mesmerised, and still couldn't believe he was able to see such an ethereal view. This was all thanks to his husband after all.
Uki reminisced the feeling of confusion when Sonny tried explaining to him about his parents, and where he lived. It took him a while to process that Sonny claimed to be the son of a rich couple, and couldn't help but think that he was joking.
But when Sonny's face became serious and when he offered Uki a tour of his house, he was shocked by just the front step leading to the door.
It shook him even more when he first entered the house, maids, butlers, servants and more began bowing as Sonny's presence was within the household. He remembered his mouth being agape for the entire tour, he was utterly speechless.

After, he went to the window to close the curtains, but his eyes widened when he recognised a car that belonged to them, driving on the road and nearing home.
Uki closed the curtain after, and switched off the light, leaving on a small lamp on his bedside table so that he could see.
Since Sonny was practically home anyways, Uki decided to just scroll through his phone on the bed while waiting for his husband to enter the room.
A few moments passed and the door creaked open to reveal the person Uki had been longing for this entire time. "Hi babe." Uki called out as Sonny came into the bedroom and closed the door behind him.
His husband said nothing as he instead walked over to Uki.
Sonny then sat down on the edge of the bed by Uki and wrapped his arms around the other's waist, still dressed in his VSF uniform.
Uki felt a small sigh land on his neck, indicating that Sonny was exhausted. The purple-haired felt Sonny's vest press up against his chest during their hug, and Uki did his best to comfort him by hugging him back.

"Babe, would you like a bath?"
"Yeah... that sounds nice." Sonny nodded with closed eyes.
