Risa

Summary:

It's a well known fact that Spock and La'an are workaholics who refuse to take shore leave. Unfortunately for them Starfleet isn't too keen on letting it's officers get overworked.
The solution- send them to Risa for two weeks.

Work Text:

"Captain, I am afraid I do not understand this." Spock stared at the PADD in his hands, his fingers gripping the device so hard his knuckles turned white. The words "mandatory leave" stared back at him like they were mocking his integrity and reputation as a Vulcan and Science Officer. He glared at them harder, hoping his vision might be compromised and they might just disappear if he looked at them long enough.

They didn't.

He knew it was illogical to even think they would. The words on a PADD could not be intimidated by his stern gaze like most humans are and therefore, his attempts were indeed beyond the reasoning of logic.

Pike chuckled at him, his shoulders shaking from the effort to, what Spock assumed was, contain his laughter that threatened to break out. It somehow made Spock frown even harder and level his captain with a glare. Pike cleared his throat and sobered up slightly. "There is nothing to explain Spock. The words speak for themselves."

"Has my work been suffering Captain?"

"No."

"Then I fail to see the reason behind this "mandatory leave" you are making me take. As a Vulcan I am able to take on heavier and more complex schedule without the need for frequent breaks." Spock laced his hands behind his back, chest puffing out in silent pride.

"Oh I'm aware of that Mr. Spock." Pike grabbed his own PADD and started typing something on it. He didn't even look at Spock as he continued speaking. "However, you are aware that Starfleet insists upon these after certain amount of hours spent on the ship and you," he finally looked up at him and pointed an accusatory finger at him, "are long overdue."

"Captain, I believe my time could be better spent on the ship." Spock refused to back down. After all, he was at his most productive when surrounded by things he found fascinating. And beaches with red sand and teal oceans were certanly not one of those things.

"Well you can believe whatever you want Spock but my hands are tied here." Pike brought his wrists together to simulate. "This isn't order that's coming from me but from someone ABOVE me." He looked at Spock pointedly. "Besides, a bit of relaxation isn't likely to kill you. If someone offered me this position, I'd take it in a heartbeat and so would any other crew member."

Spock opened his mouth to argue he obviously did not belong in that category and should be taken into consideration when the doors to Pike's office flew open and an obviously distressed La'an walked in. He watched as her eyes ran over the room, lock onto him and give him a once over before moving along to Pike. Spock assumed that if looks could kill, Pike would have been struggling to breathe right about now.

"Captain." Her voice was cutting and sharp, she was clearly angry and Spock found himself shuffling slightly to the side in an effort to avoid her wrath as she took several steps closer and stopped next to him. She was holding her PADD as well. "If you would be so kind to explain this to me?"

Pike took the device from her hands and ran his eyes over the content before groaning and pinching the bridge of his nose. He mumbled something that sounded like "please kill me" as he steeled himself and looked at La'an who seemed to be one wrong word away from skinning him alive. Spock saw the line of man's throat move as he gulped. Spock... sympathized. "I don't see what's so confusing Lieutenant?"

"Have I been insufficient in my work Captain?"

"Ok, no! Not this again!" His voice turned stern and La'an recoiled slightly, frown still firmly in place. "You cannot guilt trip me into this! I'm not allowing it." He sighed and typed few things on his own personal PADD. "As I was just explaining to Mr. Spock," he gestured at him and Spock bristled as La'an's gaze slid to him, her eyes burning a hole in his head, "this order is going beyond my pay grade." He sighed. "Look, both of you, I'm not really in favour of this. The crew will have to be stationary until two of my best officers are on *mandatory*," he put an emphasis on that word, "shore leave because they are both bloody workaholics who can't, or won't, catch a damn break."

La'an and Spock diverted their eyes from Pike. This was partially their own making because they did have the tendency to work as a method of compartmentalizing. And now they, and the whole crew had to suffer the consequences.

"So please. Let's not make a big fuss out of it."

"But Captain-"

"There is no 'but Captain' lieutenant!" La'an snapped her mouth shut, her gaze drawn down towards the floor and her chest heaving with the force she was inhaling and exhaling in an effort to remain respectful and professional. "You and Mr. Spock are to take mandatory shore leave as ordered by starfleet HQ, in effect as of now!"

La'an's and his PADD chimed with an incoming notification. As of now, they were not set to return to duty until 2 weeks was up.

••••••

"I don't see what the big deal is." La'an huffed as she tossed her swim suit into her shore leave bag. She turned to Una who continued rumiging through her wardrobe and pulling out the skimpiest pieces she owned. Which, in Una's words, she didn't own enough.

"The problem," she began, her accent thicker than normal, a clear sign of irritation. "Is that I don't want to go."

"Oh please." She pulled out a sleeveless shirt and tossed it to La'an who caught it with no effort and stuffed it into the bag. "You are such a party pooper, seriously! Relax, have fun. Get laid!" La'an shot her a glare but Una was an expert at avoiding and ignoring those, she knew La'an for a long time and the effect simply seemed to fizzle out after few years of friendship. "Don't give me that look, you told me you didn't get any for almost a year. Now just might be your chance." Una approached her bag and pulled out her swimsuit. "Really, you're gonna wear this?"

"What's wrong with it?" La'an seemed genuinly curious while Una looked genuinly offended she would even ask that sort of a question. The two women stared at each other for a long moment before Una sighed and tossed the swimsuit onto the bed and made a beeline for the door where a black bag was resting.

"You're lucky I brought my own, I anticipated something like this might happen." She emptied the whole content onto La'an's bed and started sorting though the pile. She tossed some sort of red fabric towards La'an who inspected it. It took her a minute to realize it was actually a bikini that was nothing but few triangles of larger fabric and several microscopic thin strings. She stared at it with a distaste written all over her face. "What?"

"Are you joking? This is a swimsuit?" The disbelief was clear in her voice and Una smirked at her.

"Yes and you should totally wear it. It will help you with the whole getting laid situation."

"I'm trying to get laid, not pick up an STD." She deadpaned while giving Una a pointed look. "Besides I'm pretty sure Spock will be planetside as well and I'm not exactly in favour of giving him an eyefull of goodies."

"Oh please, knowing him he'll probably spend the whole time in his room meditating or something. And what would be the harm in giving him something to stare at? I'm pretty sure I caught him checking your ass that one time." Una wiggled her eyebrows at her and La'an rolled her eyes.

"He's my superior officer." Una rolled her eyes like she just heard La'an make the stupidest argument in her life. It was clear she would not be swayed. La'an seemed to be stuck in a time loop, she was going in circles and arriving no where. She sighed and muttered. "Fine. I'll wear the bloody suit if it will make you happy."

"That's the spirit. Now for the dresses..."

Spock stood in the transporter room with his bag at his feet and in casual clothes. The jeans were not the item he tended to wear often but considering he was going on a "vaccation" Pike insisted he makes use of the casual piece of outfit. He still didn't feel comfortable enough with the fact he was forced to take a break but he figured spending most of the time meditating won't be such a bad experience.

He was about to step onto the transporter pad when chief Kyle entered the room and nodded at him, but he was startled by another figure entering the room. Number One nodded at him. "Lieutenant Spock. I trust you will have a pleasant shore leave."

"Indeed commander. I apologize for the inconvenience of stranding the ship up in the orbit."

Number One waved a dismissive hand at him. "We could all use a bit of break. These next two weeks will be slow but we'll manage. In the meantime," she stepped closer to him, sneaking a glance at Kyle who paid no attention to them, "do me a favour, don't spend your vaccation trapped within four walls. Go outside, explore, go to the beach for god's sake. Hell, find La'an and spend some time with her. Get to know each other." She smiled at his strained expression. "Relax Spock, it's not an order. I can't force you to hang out with anyone but it won't do you any harm if you do."

He nodded, sorting the advice in a box deep inside his mind, doubtful he will take her up on it. Nevertheles, he agreed. "Yes commander."

She seemed surprised with his answer but nodded approvingly at him. "Okay. Good." She took a step back as he bent down to grab his bag and step onto the pad. The last thing he heard was N1 saying "Energize." Before he found himself wrapped in a golden blanket of particle disperser and the tingling sensation immediately after, his particles fusing back together, when he was transported planetside.

The first thing he noticed was the warmth. The sun was shining brightly over him, the red sands that disappeared into the crystal blue water making the sunlight appear even warmer. It was almost as hot as on Vulcan but Risa had denser atmosphere, much like Earth and a humid climate thanks to the numerous bodies of water. Spock could feel condensation collecting at his skin and he deemed it appropriate to obtain a room in which he will most likely be spending his next two weeks.

He checked into the hotel not too far from the place he was transported onto and spent the next 4h meditating. The calming atmosphere of the planet seemed to be improving his meditation, with the sounds of oceans colliding with the land providing a rather soothing environment. But as his 5th hour of meditation went by, he found himself, for the lack of a better term, bored. There was not much to do in his room besides meditate, as his work PADD has been confiscated by Pike before his arrival here. He sighed, a rather human gesture for him, but as he realized there was probably no Vulcans on Risa he found himself not caring as he allowed the more human part of him to bleed through his Vulcan exterior. Una's words came back to him and he found himselfreaching for his bag and sniffing through it in order to dig out some loose pants and comfortable shirts to wear. He suddenly felt like taking a hike.

La'an was breathing heavily by the time she reached the top of the hill. The heat and humidity in the air weren't exactly helping her case that much as the sweat continued to pour down her face. She could feel the muscles in her thighs quaking from the run she took several miles below. But even sweaty and rather exhausted she felt the tension leaving her body as she realized she had no duties to rush back to and no idiotic Ensigns to scold as they made a mess in her security bay.

She smiled as the scent of salty water reached her senses and began a steady decline down the rocky path. She observed the terrain and the view from the elevated position and found herself marveling at the sight bestowed upon her. The planet truly was magnificent and it provided a rush of endorphins by physical appearance alone. If she wasn't careful, she might actually get used to it.

Too absorbed into her own thoughts to watch the path ahead, she failed to notice a rock sticking out of place. An edge of her foot caught onto it and with a gasp flying out of her mouth she found herself rushing to meet the ground. Only the impact never came as a set of strong arms wrapped oround her middle and she was pulled into a hard chest clad in soft blue shirt. She breathed heavily for a few seconds, trying to wrap her mind around the events that transpired in the last minute before she composed herself and exhaled a sigh of relief.

"Are you alright Lieutenant?" La'an stiffened slightly and pushed away from the person who saved her from face planting into the ground. She would recognize Spock's voice anywhere. She looked up at him, noting the sweat dripping down his face as well as suns beat down on both of them. He, however, didn't seem like he was out of breath.

She cleared her throat as his arms loosened around her. "I am. Thank you." Spock simply nodded at her as he took in her appearance and for a second she wondered if he felt as awkward as she was while seeing him in his casual clothes while she was wearing short shorts and a tank top with a baseball hat on her head. Not wanting to appear rude, as he has just saved her from potential injury, she gestured down the path with her hand while the other rested on her hip. "I was just about to go down. Would you like to join me?"

"If I would not be intruding upon your personal time then yes." He stared down at her, was he always this tall(?), with his hands behind his back.

"Nonsense. I wouldn't have offered if you were. I'm not known for my kindness after all." She tossed him a crooked smirk and to her surprise, she saw the corner of his lip twitch in an upward direction.

"Indeed, you are not Lieutenant." He was teasing her and La'an found herself easing into the easy pace that matched his as they walked down the path.

"Are you calling me rude?" She narrowed her eyes at him.

"That was not my intention." His left eyebrow twitched and she smiled at him.

"Right... and I was born yesterday."

"Then allow me to wish you a happy birthday. I believe the tradition and human customs demand it as much." La'an stopped dead in her tracks as Spock continued joking with her before snapping out of it and rushing to catch up to him.

"Gods, you are such an asshole." She was even more floored when she heard him chuckle at her dry remark.

Spock stood at the hotel bar, feeling very much out of place as he sipped on some alcoholic beverage. It served no purpose to him as his faster metabolism allowed him to process ethyl alcohol faster and render it's effect useless. He observed the crowd of different races in the hotel lobby as they all got ready for, what Spock assumed, was some sort of a party or a gathering.

He turned towards the bar to order another drink as a chair next to him suddenly became occupied.

He turned to watch as an Orion woman, clad in very little material, settled into her chosen spot and he nodded politely at her as she beamed at him. He watched in the corner of his eye as she waved to the bartender and ordered a Cardassian Sunrise before turning to him and flashing another beaming smile at him. She nodded at him. "Hi."

Out of politeness, Spock returned the gesture. "Hello."

He attempted to return to his drink, turning his chair slightly away from the woman, clearly expressing the wish to be left alone.

Unfortunately, it was a well known fact that Orions weren't good at reading subtle signs and Spock had to suppress an annoyed sigh as the woman shuffled closer to him.

"I'm T'Alina." She leaned over slightly and Spock's gaze slid down to her chest that were about to spill over the top of, what didn't look to be but Spock assumed was serving the purpose of, the dress. The action didn't go unnoticed by the woman that introduced herself as T'Alina and she smirked slightly. "So... you're a Vulcan?"

"Indeed." Spock wasn't sure why he was indulging her attempts at flirting poorly disguised under the blanket of curiosity.

"That's so cool. I've never met a Vulcan who was willing to answer some of my queries." With a good reason, he thought to himself.

"We are not known for engaging in casual conversations."

She chuckled, a deep and melodic sound that was meant to seduce. Too bad Spock wasn't looking for a casual hook-up as humans were fond of saying. He observed the woman sitting in front of him. He couldn't deny her attractiveness. She was tall and lean with a lovely hue of green skin. She had beautiful round eyes that were the striking contrast to sharp and angular Vulcan one's and a wild set of red curls on her head. She was quite the opposite of the Vulcan standard if beauty but Spock found he didn't mind it in the slightest.

"How about you and I find a room then and maybe," she ran a long green digit down from his chest to almost his navel before he stopped her, his spine tense and rigid. She clicked her tongue as he eyelashes fluttered, "we can get to know each other a bit better."

Saying no to this woman would serve no purpose, she obviously had her eyes set on him and if Spock learned anything in the academy, he knew Orions were really stubborn. His eyes ran over the room wildly, searching for a way out. He caught the sight of long brown hair and soft features of the chief security officer across the room as she spotted him as well. She raised a questioning eyebrow at him and Spock shot her a look that, he hoped, conveyed the need for her assistance. He watched as her eyes narrowed slightly as she took in T'Alina's stance and almost charged across the room while Spock exhaled a sigh of relief through his nose.

T'Alina's hand was drawing dangerously close to the belt of his pants, before another smaller hand shot out and knocked it away. Spock felt the smaller and warmer body press into him and he leaned into the surprisingly fammiliar touch. La'an's head came up to his chin and he found himself drawn onto the clean scent of her hair as he tilted his head down to take in more of that comforting smell.

He almost chuckled as La'an told the woman to 'piss off' her accent thicker than normal. The Orion woman scoffed but retreated after laying eyes upon La'an's stern face. Spock watched her disappear into the crowd as La'an pressed slightly more into him before backing out of his personal space as well. He found himself fighting the feeling of regret at her action.

La'an took a seat next to him and ordered herself a drink as she smirked at him. Spock was quite sure he was blushing.

"Didn't take you as the womanizing type." Her tone was teasing and Spock lifted an eyebrow. "I mean... She was practically crawling over you and begging you to do her against this bar." Her voice took on a slight edge and Spock found himself intrigued by the sudden changes.

"She suggested that we ought to "find a room and get to know each other better."

La'an snorted. "Yeah... to get to know your anatomy better."

"I estimated as much, yes."

"Mhm" she hummed contently as she raked her eyes over him and Spock bit down on the shiver racing up his spine as she licked her lips. "I bet you were."

Unwilling to contemplate her response any further, Spock shifted in his chair as the bartender brought La'an her own drink of choice. It wasn't a cocktail for sure, in fact Spock was pretty sure she ordered a brandy. He watched as her throat bobbed as she swallowed the sweet liquid. "Allow me to offer my gratitude by paying for your drinks this evening."

She smiled into her glass. "Now you're speaking my language."

La'an stumbled into Spock the very next day near the food market.

She was surprised by the fact she actually looked forward to spending time with him. When he first caught her from falling on that path she felt a tinge of annoyance bubbling under the surface. But as she inevitably ran into him more and more, she found the presence of a fammiliar face quite comforting.

She called out to him and watched as he stopped to wait for her.

She squeezed through the crowd of people as she made her way over to him, and then promptly almost stopped dead when she saw he was wearing sleeveless black shirt and black pants. The lines of his muscles were rippling under the light of two suns and La'an found herself swallowing at the sight. He almost looked good enough to eat. Maybe the food market wasn't a bad place for him to be.

She had to admit she felt an illogical flare of jealousy when she saw him with the Orion woman last night and the way her tall frame leaned towards him. To make matters worse, he didn't seem too appalled by the encounter. Last night she wondered if the flareup of jealousy was due to the fact Spock seemed to be having no trouble getting laid while she was struggling or because it was him that was being hit on.

As she watched his brows furrow in a rather adorable frown on his handsome face, why was she taking notes of his attractiveness just now(?), it seemed to her the favours leaned more towards the second option.

"Hey there."

He nodded politely in greeting. "Lieutenant."

La'an rolled her eyes. "I've saved you from an Orion's advances yesterday and you've paid for my drinks. Pretty sure that means we are on a more friendly level now. Call me La'an."

"Alright... La'an." The syllables rolled off his tongue like a liquid honey and La'an resisted the urge to moan at the deep baritone of his voice. Gods, she really needed to get laid.

"So where are you headed if I may ask?"

"My mother once told me the restaurant here makes the best vegetarian cheeseburger and she insisted I must try one myself if I ever find myself planetside."

"That sounds," the thought of food sounded really appealing to her right now, she could feel her stomach protesting. "Really good right now. Do you mind if I join you. I think I might fancy one myself."

"I do not. Please." He gestured with his hand while he put the other one at the small of her back to guide her through the crowd. His palm was incredibly warm even through the layer of fabric between them she could feel the heat seeping through.

They found the place relatively quickly and stood in silence, observing the crowd in the busy streets of a very active planet. They thanked the chef once their orders arrived and moved slightly out of the path and into a more secluded area.

"I don't know about you, but I'm not waiting until we reach the bench or somewhere to sit on. I'm starving." She bit into the burger without waiting for his response and moaned surprisingly loudly once the taste hit her. Spock's eyes widened at the sound and she rushed to quiet down and wipe at her mouth with the back of her hand as she chewed. "Sorry, it's just that this might be the best thing I've ever tried." She gestured with her hand for him to try his as well. "Try It!"

He looked down at the food wrapped in foil in order to preserve warmth, contemplating the best way to bite into it. Shrugging his shoulders lightly he angled his head and bit into the exposed part. His brows furrowed in concentration as he chewed methodically, almost like he was tasting every molecule.

La'an swayed on the balls of her feet, her food already almost half eaten. "Well?"

He nodded while still chewing, the smidge of sauce present on the corner of his lip. "It is, indeed, really good."

"I told you." She smiled at him, her eyes wrinkling at the corners as she pointed towards the edge of his lip. "You have a bit of sauce there." Her mouth suddenly went dry when he ran his tongue over them and raised his eyebrow as if to ask if he got it. She shook her head. "No, still there. Here let me-" she gestured for him to bend down slightly as she raised her hand to wipe the sauce off. The pad of her thumb grazed over that full pink lower lip as her eyes snapped up to meet his. He seemed to be enticed by the movement of her hand, his eyes almost completely black. La'an suppressed a shiver and cleared her throat as she realized her thumb was still swiping over his wet lips. "Okay. All done."

He nodded and stood up straight again, his eyes not leaving her now blushing face. "Thank you La'an."

A breath got stuck in her throat as his voice came out deeper than usual, his name like a healing balm against a harsh wound. She felt arousal pool low in her belly.

She shook her head, hair falling slightly over her face to conceal her heated cheeks, clearing the image from her head and spoke, "So tell me a bit about Vulcan..."

Spock wasn't a fan of water.

As a creature of a desert planet he often found himself shying away from large bodies of water such as oceans. He knew how to swim, very well in fact, the knowledge of such skill crucial for his survival training in starfleet. That being said, the waters on Risa were incredibly warm and Spock found himself drawn towards the serenity of the ocean.

He wasn't sure how long he actually swam through the crystal clear waters but if the ache in his muscles was anything to go by, he has been at it for hours. He found it almost meditative.

Breathing heavily, his legs cut through the small waves as he moved towards the empty beach. The privacy was another thing Spock liked about Risa, majority of guests opting for relaxing swims in the indoor heated pools especially in the time for sunsets. The first sunset has happened some 1.3 hours earlier and the second one was just about to transpire. Feeling the hot sand under his feet he turned to watch as the second sun disappeared from the horizon.

There were footsteps behind him, light and quiet on the hot sand, and Spock tilted his head to see the person who decided to go for one last swim of the day. He almost swallowed his tongue, despite the impossibility of It, when he saw La'an approaching.

He watched, in stunned silence as the chief of Security strutted along the beach and towards the ocean, clad in nothing but a few scrapes of fabric that Spock could most definitely never identify as a swimming suit. The intimate parts were covered by nothing more than an almost see through triangles of fiery red fabric held together by even thinner straps. Her long hair was loose and flowing down her back, Spock took notice that it almost reached her waist.

She looked up and smiled at him before her smile quickly disappeared only to be replaced by a grimace. Spock saw her lower her head and heard her curse Number One in few languages, prompting him to raise his eyebrow. It would appear commander Chin-Riley was the one responsible for her attire.

That fact did nothing to tame his desire as he seemed unable to peel his eyes away from her body, almost like they were forcefully kept there by the adhesive element. Spock had no doubt that La'an was someone who could be classified as adhesive.

In his excited state he failed to notice her as she once again drew closer, this time coming close enough for him to touch the golden skin if only he extended his hand by 35%. He swallowed.

"Well, this is awkward."

Spock could only nod at her as his eyes continued running all over the exposed skin. He itched to touch it and feel if it was as soft as it looked.

"Just for the record, the swimsuit is not mine." She raised her arms in front of herself like she was putting up an invisible wall to shield herself.

Spock cleared his throat. "I... assumed as much."

She wrapped her arms under her chest in a self concious movement to shield her body but it only pushed her breasts up higher and Spock's eyes snapped down towards them automatically. Luckily for him, La'an was doing everything in her power not to look at him.

"Do you... um... wanna go for a swim or have you already been?"

"I..." have already been should be the words he should have used but his aroused brain had other ideas and so he ended up adding, "would not mind to join you." Instead.

That's how he found himself swimming in the ocean for the second time that day as the day progressed into night and two moons out of three graced the sky, bathing the whole area in a silver shine. He felt presence on his side and he watched as La'an rose up from the water, the droplets leaving wet trails on her toned skin, as she wiped the salt water from her face. Feeling unusually bold, Spock brought one of his hands to rest at the naked skin on the small of her back. He was rewarded with a sound of her breath hitching as she struggled not to show her reaction.

"If you would do me the honor of gracing me with your presence tonight?" La'an turned to look at him, her hair slicked back as the lunar light made her appear almost ethereal.

"What did you have in mind?"

"A dinner in the restaurant from several days prior."

She chuckled, sound coming low from her belly and making Spock tighten his grip on her lightly, his hand dropping ever so slightly lower into the inappropriate territory. He found himslef not carring of who might see. "Sure. I'll see you, say, in an hour?"

He nodded and stepped away from her slightly. "That is acceptable."

She smirked and turned around to walk back towards the hotel, her shapely behind swaying with every step she took and Spock was shocked to discover that the low rumbling sound was actually a faint growl coming from his own chest. He gulped. He wasn't sure if what he just did was the smartest idea he has ever had or the most foolish.

Either way, he was about to find out.

•••••

La'an smiled at Spock as he talked about his pet selhat on Vulcan while they walked down the street towards the hotel. He was speaking with such fondness that it almost made her feel dizy because she could hear the emotion in his face.

"So what did I-Chaya look like? You said it's a selhat, does that mean you had a pet that looked like a sabertooth bear?"

"Indeed. She had brown fur and had the snout of what you would most likely associate with bears of earth and saber like canine teeth. She was, however, very tame and I believe you would refer to it as the 'gentle giant'." He shook his head. "I believe many humans would have been afraid of her. Her appearance was..."

"A lot?" She interjected when she saw him struggling and he nodded. "I don't know. She sounds kind of cute to me. I survived the gorn so anything else goes really."

"Have you found your therapy sessions with Dr. Sanchez helpful?" La'an wrinkled her nose at the mention of the "head shrinker" and Spock fought back a smirk as he forcefully pushed down the edge of his lip.

"Why? Are you thinking of consulting him about your 'selhat' issue?" She raised both of her eyebrows at him in an expression of mock-surprise.

"Perhaps. I am interested in whether or not his methods are valid." La'an stopped as she realized he was riling her up on purpose and smacked a hand against his shoulder.

"Asshole." She muttered loudly enough for him to hear but there was no malice in her words.

"You have referred to me as such on several separate occasions. Should I be concerned or simply accept it as a term of endearment? Though I admit, I would feel more at ease if you were to not use it so publicly."

"As I said, an asshole." Spock turned his eyes up and brought them back down. "You did not just roll your eyes at me!"

"I am afraid I do not know what you are talking about."

La'an scoffed but there was a grin on her lips, all of her pearly whitest on display. "Whatever."

A thumping music from one of the numerous clubs reached their ears and Spock slowed down as he watched La'an's head turn towards the sound. "Do you wish to come in?"

She contemplated her answer for a minute before shaking her head. "No. Besides, I doubt your ears will appreciate all of that."

She made a move to walk by when Spock took hold of her forearm and stopped her. "I believe I will be content for an hour. Let us go in."

She sighed. "Are you sure?"

"Indeed."

The music inside was so loud Spock had to use some of the more advanced meditation techniques to tone it down slightly. The bodies on the dance floor moved and swayed together in tandem with the thumping bass.

La'an's light body squeezed through the crowd with relative ease as Spock stayed few steps behind, letting her lead the way and swatting a hand that reached for her behind. He levled a large Cardassian with a glare and continued on his way.

They took a seat at the bar, La'an ordering several shots of clear alcohol as she leaned over to yell over the music. "Hope you like tequila!"

He chose to not answer, the music was too loud for him to respond in a normal volume but he took a shot, dunked a packet of salt into his mouth and drank the shot. La'an watched in stunned silence as he grabbed the piece of lime and brought it to his mouth. He raised his eyebrows in amusment as he gestured for her to do the same. She observed him in the corner of her eye as she did the same, a drop of alcohol escaping her mouth and running down her neck.

In a bold move, Spock brought his thumb to catch it and slide it back towards her mouth, watching as her eyes were swallowed by the pupil, allowing himself to run the sensitive digits over the gentle lower lip. He didn't anticipate her counter response as she caught the pad of his fingers with the edge of her tongue while her lips wrapped around it and sucked lightly.

Spock hooked the end of her chair with his foot and tugged her closer to him, desire running through his veins, while her lips remained wrapped around his finger. He wondered what would have happened if he offered her another one or maybe something else, completely inappropriate, to suck on. He suddenly had the desire to push his fingers deeper in her mouth and see her reaction but he stopped himself from doing that. It was completely clear to him this attraction between them was mutual and while he wished to explore it, he wasn't sure where she stood with it.

He ran his thumb over her lip one final time and broke the contact and he was sure he heard her let out a whine. The silky dress she was wearing offered him a great view of her ample cleavage and he took notice of the way it turned a lovely hue of red. La'an leaned closerto him, much closer than the last time as her lips almost brushed the tip of his pointed ear. "I want to dance. Do you want to join me?"

Arousal had a funny way of making people do foolish things, Spock confirmed such theory as he stood up first and offered her his hand. Her eyes lit up as she slid her palm into his, her fingers grazing his in a rather erotic move and Spock had a sneaky suspicion she knew exactly what she was doing. If the sultry smile on her lips was anything to go by, he was correct in his assumptions.

They squeezed through the sea of grinding bodies and found a little open space on the dance floor and Spock watched from few steps back as La'an surrendered to the beat, her wild hair flying as she twirled her body to the beat. Her eyes were closed and her hips were moving in a distracting way, swaying with every move she took. For someone who claimed to not have any talent with music or rhythm, she seemed odly content on the crowded dance floor and surrounded by people who moved to the beat. Spock could only stand and watch for so long before his hands reached for her, fingers gripping onto the soft flesh of her hips and pulling her flush against his front. She breathed out shakily when her naked back made contact with the material of his shirt, her fingers reaching for his hair and waving themselves into the strands.

He slid his hand up, palm tracing over her breast as her breath hitched, and gripped onto the silky strands at the nape of her neck. She tilted her head to the side as a compensation and Spock wasted no time burrying his face in the junction where her neck met her clavicle, his tongue coming out to taste her skin. He felt her fingers tighten in his hair and pull his head more firmly into her neck while tilting her own even more to the side to offer him more space to work on. He heard her humm a content sound, her hips sliding against the front of his pants as he stifled a gasp when she brushed up against his hard cock.

He was hard from the moment he saw her at the beach but tried his best to push those urges deeper. But there was no way he could force down his more primal needs now that he knew she wanted the same. He could feel the lust escaping through her skin, it was so intense it almost oozed through the pores.

His walls crumbled when his name passed through her lips in a form of a sigh whileher nails scratched at his scalp. His teeth bit onto the sensitive skin while the hand that was on her hip slipped down and underneath the hem of her dress. Pads of his fingers grazed her thigh and Spock marveled at the tiny little sounds she was letting out, the loud music fading into nothing more than a faint backround noise. She writhed in his arms, her spine arching from his torso while his fingers trailed upwards towards the heat radiating from her core. If Spock could describe what lust tasted like, he would say it tasted like La'an- like the finest mix of strawberries and chocolate, tangy and sweet at just the right ammount and utterly intoxicating.

He sucked in a sharp breath, his lips finally leaving her neck when his fingers grazed the wet fabric between her thighs, the material almost useless from how soaked it was. La'an moaned faintly at the first touch, her hand flying from his hair to grip onto his wrist and keep him there. She was fortunate because Spock couldn't stop even if he wanted to. He wasn't sure who moved first but at one moment they were still trapped between the grinding bodies on the dance floor and in the other, they were being hit with a scent of salt water as they stumbled through the door.

Their hands couldn't stop touching each other, her's were alternating between gripping onto his hair and grabbing onto his thigh that he slipped between her open legs as he pushed her into the wall. His hand grabbed a handful of her hair and tugged lightly on it, enough for her to drop it onto his shoulders while the other pinned her wandering hands onto the wall in front of her.

"Keep your hands there." His voice came out like a growl he didn't recognize, it sounded feral and brutal but La'an only shivered and dug her nails into the hard surface. Spock let out a gasp once his fingers found her core, this time beneath the fabric as he ran a single finger over the slit. La'an let out a desperate moan as her hips leaned into the touch. Ever so proficient in his technique he took notice of every little sound she let out as he touched her while his teeth continued leaving a trail of purple tattoos across the smooth expanse of her neck and shoulders. He noted she seemed to be responding to the direct stimuli the best, when the heel of his palm pressed against the sensitive nub on top of her cunt while his fingers slid in and out of her with little effort. His name fell from her parted lips, mixing with all the moans and whines, while her arousal continued to drip down his fingers. She trashed in his arms when her high hit, her fingers digging into the wall in front of her like a lifeline, an anchor that kept her grounded and stable on the earth.

Spock stopped when she slumped forward, her forehead hitting the cold surface in front of her as her knees shook. He slid his fingers out of her and brought them to his mouth, not allowing a single drop of her essence to go to waste, as she fought to regain her breath.

"Fuck." She gasped out a broken curse as her knees almost buckled underneath her, Spock's arm wrapping around her waist and lifting her up as he dragged them both towards the hotel, his erection heavy and almost painful in his trousers. He wasn't sure how they got to the hotel or the lift in fact but he realized he was yet to kiss her. So that's what he did.

Her mouth parted in surprise when he once again pressed her to the wall, this time a mirror and leaned down to capture her soft lips in a kiss. Her hands slid to his shoulders and pulled him down towards her more, her legs still too wobbly to hold her weight. The lift chimed and the two walked lip locked towards Spock's room, stopping every few paces so he could press her against the wall and get lost in the kiss. His teeth nibbled on her lower lip as she sighed gently. They somehow managed to open his doors before Spock lost his patience and slid the dress she was wearing down her shoulders, allowing it to pool down at her feet. With a simple tug, the thin straps of her underwear ripped and they met their end next to the dress. Standing completely naked in front of him, La'an chucked her flats off and walked them both backwards towards the bed.

Her hands tugged at his shirt impatiently, wanting to just get rid of the material so she could feel his naked skin beneath her fingertips. Spock got rid of his shoes and he managed to get his fly undone by the time she somehow figured out how to get the shirt off of him.

She straddled his thighs on the bed, her hips grinding down onto his still clothed erection. Spock gripped her hips in a strong hold, pressing her down onto him more, the feeling of wetness bleeding through the fabric almost making him loose his mind. He stood up with her in his arms, her legs wrapping around his waist as he turned them around and lowered her down on the bed.

La'an ran her palms over the smooth expanse of his wide chest, her fingers trailing down his stomach towards an impressive tent in his pants as he leaned down to kiss her again.

He hissed into the kiss as he felt her long fingers slip beneath the fabric of his briefs and wrap around his shaft. He leaned back to look at Her, the expression of fascination and wonder on her face. "This feels... different."

"Vulcan penises have several ridges. It is significantly different than human's." She bit her lip in concentration as she lowered both his pants and underwear down in one go. They shuffled on the bed slightly as they worked to get the rest of the clothes off of him. She pushed onto his shoulder to get him to turn around on his back as she rose on her hunches to look at him. "Huh... that is different." Her eyes raked over his naked form while Spock rubbed at her naked hip affectionately. She ran her finger over his shaft once again, tracing the edge of every ridge until she reached the base and trailed a digit up towards the tip along the center line.

She smirked as she spotted the tense look on his face, it was clear he was holdimg back slightly. Not being in the mood to tease herself, she swung one of her legs on the other side and positioned him at her enterance before she slid down. The first ridge slid in easily, the second one not as much. She hissed at the slightly uncomfortable stretch and Spock brought both of his hands up to squeeze her breasts, rolling her nipples between his fingers. Once the second ridge was in, there was no problem for the third and she sighed as her hips came flush against his.

Spock surged upwards, the motion causing her to move slightly and he swallowed her moan as his lips chased her's. La'an could feel his fingers digging into the skin of her hips, hard enough to bruise, and she took that as a sign she should move. She broke a kiss with a gasp as she rose and fell down onto him again, the ridges of his cock dragging against her sensitive walls in the most delicious way, making her vision turn black towards the edges.

At first there was slight awkwardness, neither of them used to the feeling of other but they soon found a smooth rhythm with La'an grinding down on him while he rose up to meet her. His arms wrapped around her middle and she chuckled lightly at he brought her flush against him. She let out a yelp of pleasure when one of his hands slid down to her front to toy with her clit. Her head slumped back as he continued playing her like a fine tuned instrument, his teeth grazing top of her breast.

She shouted as her climax hit her, her walls tightening around him almost to the point of pain while his fingers continued the pleasurable assault to her clit. He stilled inside of her, letting her ride out her high.

She got no time to rest as he turned them over in a blindingly fast movement, her thighs wrapping around his hips as the world tilted off it's axis. This time it was all about him, she realized, as he pinned her wrists to the bed, not allowing her to touch him and limiting her movements. He growled in the skin of her neck as his hips snapped against her's, the slap of skin against skin almost loud enough to match the moan she let out. She didn't thought it would be possible for her to come one more time, but the mixture of sensitivity from previous orgasms and his thrusts that were causing the tip of his cock to touch a spot deep within her, she felt herself approaching the curve of another soul shattering orgasm.

Spock held her hands in a tight grip but her thighs still held onto his hips, she could feel his rhythm becoming frantic and irregular as he also neared his edge. It took him a few more thrusts to push her over the edge as her hips raised off the bed and he grunted in her ear. She shook as the tremors continued racing through her body but Spock didn't slow down until he went tense in her arms and he exhaled a shaky breath into her neck. She could feel as he emptied himself inside of her and the thought made her shiver.

They collapsed back onto the bed, both sensitive as aftershocks raced through their bodies. Spock recovered quicker and slid out of her as he rolled onto his side. She let out a whimper as the motion set off her sensitive nerves but settled fairly quickly once he pulled her into his arms. She buried her face into his side and threw a long leg over his hips.

"Mmm we should have been doing this from the start." Her foot traced over the skin of his thighs teasingly but she was too content to start anything up again.

"We still have another week to make up for the lost time."

"Yes." She yawned. "But tomorrow. I'm tired now."

He turned on his side, facing her, his fingers rubbing back of her knee affectionately. "I concur. We should rest."

Spock struggled to return air into his lungs as La'an dropped down next to him on the bed, her breathing pattern just as irregular. She slid off of him, making no noise of discomfort, her body used to taking him after a week of strenuous but very much pleasurable activity. He brought his hand to her face, removing a strand of hair. She smiled a sleepy smile at him, her cheeks flushed and her eyes wrinkling at the corners.

"Do we have to go back?"

He almost chuckled as she whined. "Two weeks ago you fought quite ferociously to stay on the ship and now you do not wish to return?"

"Well, a week of mindblowing sex will do that to you. I'm going to miss it."

Spock frowned at the note of sadness in her voice. "You wish to terminate our encounters upon our return?"

"I don't want to... but Idon't know how else are we going to pull it off." She shuffled closer to him and he allowed himself a moment to just breathe in the combined scent of both of them.

"There is no reason to hide our relationship. You are not directly under my chain of command."

She exhaled as her muscles relaxed. "Okay. That sounds reasonable." She twisted away from him to look at the clock. "We should go... we have to be ready for beam up in an hour."

Spock nodded and rose up from the bed as he reached for his clothes while La'an did the same. They both put on their clothes in relative silence, sneaking in touches every once in a while. They gathered their bags, checked out of the hotel and walked a short distance to the spot. Spock took his communicator for the first time in two weeks.

"Enterprise. Two to beam up."

Pike greeted them in the transporter room and he whistled when he spotted them. "Well, don't you guys look healthy. I trust the shore leave was not such a bad idea after all?"

Spock and La'an looked at each other. "Indeed captain. It was the most..."

"Beneficial." La'an finished for him and tossed him another glance. He almost smirked but managed to catch himself.

Pike, none the wiser, nodded and gestured for them to leave the transporter room before him. "Okay then. I expect to see you both ready for shift in an hour. We have a new assignment and I'm itching to get started. Gotta say, I got quite bored sitting on my ass and doing nothing."

They both nodded as Pike passed them and headed for the bridge. La'an tossed a smirk in his direction and as a silent conversation passed between them.

They weren't planning on keeping their relationship a secret. But since the captain seemed oblivious, there was no harm in playing along and seeing how far they could take it.

And besides, messing with the crew was always fun.
