Work Text:

Akari clutches her red scarf closer to her face. She's faced far worse in the Alabaster Icelands compared to the cold of the Coronet Highlands, but Mt. Coronet has a different feel to it. There's a chill in the air, one that hangs on with the ages rather than one that can be waved off with a warm fire by the tent.

Still, it's not really like her to bemoan her situation. Volo had asked to meet up with her at the Temple of Sinnoh, and she can hardly refuse to see him. Plus, she's been to the temple before. Logically speaking, she has nothing to fear but...

Akari shakes her head, a fresh wave of cool air hitting her as she exits the cave. It's probably nothing, she thinks. Ever since she landed in this time, she's gone up against things beyond her wildest dreams. Anything the world throws at her, she can take.

Besides, Arceus is watching. It hasn't done all too much, but it had always been a comforting thought to her that she isn't alone.

Just then, she hears a warbling chirp. She turns her head to the skies, and down comes a cloud of white, specked in blue and red triangles. Her eyes widen as it comes up in front of her. It does a happy little spin as it cries out once more and then nuzzles up at her.

Akari smiles as she pets the head of the soft, white mon. From her research, a Togekiss is not only a particularly rare find, but also one that comes in moments of peace. The Togekiss chirps blissfully as it leans into her hand, causing Akari to giggle as that strange, foreboding feeling disappears. Today must be an especially good day, she thinks, for a mon like this to show up in front of her out of the blue.

Suddenly, the Togekiss separates from Akari. It flies a little bit in front of her and then hovers, glancing back at her expectantly. It wants me to follow it? Akari tilts her head in thought. This is certainly the first time a Pokemon has ever tried to lead her somewhere. Most wild Pokemon she encounters either runs away from her or become aggressive. She takes a tentative step forward and the Togekiss does a little bounce happily, going forward along the path to the Temple of Sinnoh. I guess it can't hurt, she thinks as she follows it, since I'm heading this way anyways.

She climbs the familiar stone steps up to the tower, the Togekiss leading the way. As she passes through the broken ruins of the temple, its pillars piercing the skies like spears, Akari gazes at them in both awe and fear. She can still remember the statues that were once there, of the Pokemon that it once commemorated. Looking at it now, it could only feel that such a sacred place had been shattered.

The Togekiss stops in front of the platform up ahead, where Akari had once done battle with a frenzied god of a mon. "Is this where-?"

No sooner had she started the sentence does pink powder blindside her from the left. Akari turns sharply to face where it come from, her eyes locking on to a Roserade as she grabs for a Pokeball from her belt. But why is it all the way over here? she thinks, her mind trying to calculate how a Roserade of all things could be out here in the wild, but her body sways. Try as she might, darkness engulfs her vision, and she feels herself fall on to the soft feathers of the Pokemon that had lead her here.

When she wakes up, Akari finds herself unable to move her body. Try as she might, she can only really flutter her eyelids, her lips quivering as she tries to speak. Still, she does know one thing:

She's not alone.

"It's quite a shame, you know." Although Volo's voice is chipper, it is maniacal. He rubs the back of his hand against her cheek, his crooning doing nothing to soothe Akari. She manages to wriggle a little, but she can hardly move out from where her head lies on his lap. From the corner of her eye, she can see something padding towards her, a low growl on its throat. Akari can almost place what Pokemon it is in her head, but Volo's voice distracts her once more. "See, I'm quite fond of eggs. My dear Togekiss used to be one as a Togepi, but as you can see, she's grown up by now. I'll need to make more." He leans forward, his gaze almost reverent as he looks at her. "And what better way than through the chosen of Almighty Arceus itself? If I cannot see Arceus myself, perhaps it will come to see its own spawn."

Akari had always thought of him as a cheerful man, but seeing his bald-faced glee at seeing her so thoroughly paralyzed, probably from another one of that Roserade's moves, one that probably belongs to him along with that Togekiss... Akari frowns.

"Don't do this," she forces out of herself, searching for the Volo she's always known.

Volo merely chuckles. "For all my life, I've wanted to meet the Almighty Arceus itself. There is no one else who knows Hisui as I do, have researched its legends... So why then, did it choose such an ignorant child?" He whistles. Akari hears the growls grow closer until a dark red Arcanine towers over her, one large enough that Akari knows it has to be an Alpha. Its gaze burns into her, leaning towards her, and she can faintly see its red pointed length coming out from its sheathe, already wet with need. He's not going to-? But Akari can't finish that thought before the Arcanine does Volo's bidding- Akari does not have time to hide the squeal wrenched out of her as the Arcanine plunges inside her.

"HaAAAHh-" Akari grits her teeth, the feeling returning to her numb body at the worst possible moment. Arcanines themselves are already big, but it truly feels overwhelming with an Alpha one inside of her. Her mind scrambles, the fullness sending electric shocks throughout her whole body. Dimly, she's aware of Volo separating her legs even further, allowing the Arcanine to go even further than before. It goes deep inside of her, swelling with infernal heat, more and more until it feels locked in place.

It hurts, it hurts, it- But the sounds that emit from Akari's lips is a garbled mess, a mix of pain and confusion and the invasive, even exhilarating sensation that courses through her body. Her gaze meets Volo's, and it is only now that she thinks that she has truly seen him for what he is. There is satisfaction in his stare, a cruel glee in the way his lips curl. Akari wants so badly to punch him for it, and yet the sight of him locks her into place more fiercely than the paralysis does.

Akari's breath hitches as her body arches painfully as what feels like molten lava paints her inside. The whole world turns white, her own body convulsing as it answers the Arcanine's own pleasure. Her breath is stolen, almost as if it was plucked from her throat itself, snatched from her body as all feeling has been. In the midst of it all, she barely notices the Arcanine slip out of her, the emptiness doing nothing to diminish the aftershock. She slumps back down, only to find herself no longer laying on Volo's lap.

Instead, she is greeted by dark wisps that permeate the edges of her gaze.

"You see, my dear Akari," Volo's voice, though a whisper, sears her. "I am not the only one who wants to meet Almighty Sinnoh. I do hope you shall give us plenty of... chances to meet it."

The chill spreads throughout her body as a cry engulfs the air, one that can freeze Akari's heart as she is taken in by yellow wings.
