Chapter Text
Daniel was a new astronaut for MIRA, it was his first day and to be honest, he was nervous. Daniel had never been to space and the thought of going was scary to him but his family urged him to take the opportunity and so he had to. He cautiously walked up to the ramp to the boarding spaceship, luggage in toe, and sat down in one of the available seats. As he sat down the entire spaceship filled up with people in colorful spacesuits, this caused him to think of his own color, Blue, they don't give you a choice when getting your colored suit and you are simply given one at random.
The ship started shaking very roughly before taking off, Daniel took this time to observe the other astronauts. Green was sitting next to him and laying back in the chair looking at the wall, Pink was sitting relatively straight with his hands on his lap, Yellow was laying against the straps, Black was also taking the time to look around, Red was slouching, Brown had his arms crossed, White was rocking back and forth as if on a swing, Orange couldn't seem to get comfortable in her chair, and finally Lime was playing with her hands as some form of entertainment while they were waiting. It was until minutes after that he realized that Pink and Brown were staring at each other.
Finally, the ship arrived at the Skeld, everyone on the ship got up and piled out in a colorful array of colors including Daniel, the Skeld had a chill that seemed to even seep through the spacesuits and didn't feel very welcoming. As they had been instructed to do during training, they immediately walked to the meeting table to assign rooms and the tasks that they would take care of during the time they were there. Daniel felt completely out of his league with these other people around him who had to be more qualified than him, Daniel struggled to an embarrassing degree during training but luckily he had a nice trainer who did their best to help him along and get through.
finally, they arrive at the table, and Pink (the captain) was the first to start talking "Alright crew, our mission is to make it to the planet Llehppz and harvest the fruits that grow there and observe any living creatures that live there." Pink starts to dish out the different tasks to the crewmates before landing on Daniel, "Blue, you will be focusing on the tasks in Electrical and monitoring the cameras after that." Pink then moves on to the last few and Daniel thinks about his tasks, can't be so bad. Finally, Pink is done and starts handing out room key cards.
Daniel gets given room 4 with Black and doesn't miss how Pink gives himself and Brown the same room. At last, everyone disperses off to their rooms, and Daniel hobbles off to his room with Black. They unlock the room and look around it, on the left is a big set of shelves, there is a carpet in the middle of the room, are two tables adjacent to each other, a pair of bunk beds, and a coat hanger at the entrance. They both take off their backpacks to unpack the belongings that they took with them and take off their suits and hang them up, eventually Black tries some conversation "Hey, My name is Darryl, what's yours?" Daniel is startled at the sudden talking and after a couple of seconds of recovery curtly responds "I'm Daniel." "Nice to meet you, Daniel." Finally, Daniel is ready to get some sleep and takes his place under Darryl's bed, He finally got a chance to look over his injuries. Most of them were from his soulmate, his soulmate got injured several times a day when they were children and he didn't want to think about what that meant. He finally drifts off to sleep, he's gonna need all the rest he can get because tomorrow is gonna be a long day.
