Also, this fic is a murder mystery that's unsolved, I would very much like for you to solve it and announce your answer at the comments. Use your wits!

Work Text:

"Welcome to the Myste Lounge, sir," the concierge greeted as she handed you a key to your room. Taking it, you pulled your luggage to the fairly lit hallway and into your room.

You stared at the door, reading the bold letters stating the number of your room for the night, 06. The lounge was not big to accomodate a large amount of guests, considering as how there were only 20 rooms in it. After settling yourself and your luggage inside the said room, you stared outside the clear window, taking a deep breath as the darkness of the night greeted you at the other side of it.

Soon came the dinner.

Sitting at the wide dining hall of the lounge, you noted the presence of the other guests, all four of them. One was a girl, thin frame and a delicate body, she did not look she could carry even a slight heavy luggage. The second was a man who held a look of exhaustion in his face, no doubt the man had just taken a shower as how his hair looked wet. The third one, a woman far too high ranking in her *presumably* expensive clothes. She did not bother touch anything that looked unclean to her, even the utensils that of the lounge provided. She opted to use a butler of her own. And that gets you to the last person in the dining hall, the butler. A man in his late 40's, doing anything his master ordered him to do, even as to feeding the woman with utensils he himself brought.

All of you finished the dinner without so much of a talk, yet you managed to at least hold a conversation with the tiny girl, her identity known as Anna. The exhausted man was named John. The high ranking woman beared the name Angel, and the butler having the name Michael for himself.

Returning to your room, you opted for a nap, or maybe a sleep. You checked the clock on the nearby wall, 9 o' clock it read. Yet, you showered, changed of today's clothes, and wandered the hall's of the lounge. There was barely a person present on it, except the staff earlier who seemed to be the only person who worked in here.

As she passed you, she gave a smile in which you returned as you kept walking into the end of the hallway and into the veranda, breathing in the cold air of the night as you stared at the trees in the distance.

Suddenly a blood curdling scream alerted you and you bolted back into the hallways again, only to bump into, none other than, Anna. "T-the staff, she's dead!" Your eyes widened. The woman you just saw before was now found dead.

"Where is the body?!" You asked in a hurry, shock evident in your voice as you held her shoulders and shook her gently. "T-there!" She pointed into room 10 in the distance, "That'd where I found the body!" Letting go of Anna, you rushed into the scene, pushing the door of the room open with force as your breaths came in short, shallow, inhales.

You caught sight of her body, and you almost gagged in how horrifying it was. A handheld axe stuck to her chest as she layed limp into the floor, her eyes unmoving and drained of the light of life. You looked at the vast of the room, the windows were closed and there was no piece of evidence to be found. Not even footprints.

"What happened?!" John exclaimed as he and the other two guests came rushing in to the room. Angel slapped her hand over her mouth as you heard her muffled scream. You turned to them, examining their features and trying to observe their reactions. They all looked the same, shocked.

You turned to them with an awfully calm expression, "Let's go to the dining hall, please. I'm a former detective and I would like to talk to all of you." You said calmly, even though your mental state screamed in fear and agony. Now all of you sat in the dining hall, the guests at one side of the table as you sat at the other side. "Anna, please tell us what happened."

"I-I was just walking down the hall when I heared something falling and the room 10 open, when I came to check it, I saw her- her..." Anna did not dare finish the sentence as she burst into tears. Nodding your head to her statement, you looked at the other guests. "Any alibis to the situation?" You asked.

"I was just in my room," John answered with confusion on his face. "I'm at the dining hall, I ordered another set of the food they served," Angel explained, a look of utter disgust on her face. "I'm with my master," Micheal answered with a blank look.

Heading back to your room, you thought it all out. It couldn't have been Anna, she was too weak to even do something like it. As you turned around, the lights in your room turned off and all you could feel was darkness as you met the floor with a thump.

Now, who do you think is the killer?
