I don't need cards or flying doves to feel our magic

Summary:

Muriel and the apprentice just love each other and are very sleepy

Work Text:

Muriel stared at you, lost in thought. He and you were laying on the cot in the corner of your hut. You had your limbs less than elegantly strewn about while you slept. The sounds of the crackling of the fire and the snoring of Inanna filled the small space.

Finally breaking from his trance, Muriel gingerly lifted off the cot and waddled over to the kitchen. He absentmindedly scratched his chin in thought as he rummaged around the cupboard. He found a tin of tea Azra had gifted him and picked it up with a hum. He then filled the kettle with water and set it over the fire.

As he watched the water warm, you sat up, rubbing your eyes groggily. You crawled out of the huge furs and trudged over to him. You wrapped your arms around him gently, startling him.
"Mmm. Come back to bed, please?" You asked him, your words slightly slurred. He chuckled at you and shook his head slightly. "Soon, love. Do want a cup of tea?" He asked while reaching down to pet your hair. You nodded and nuzzled your face into his chest.

The kettle whistled and Muriel took the cue, detangling himself from your arms and taking the kettle off. He placed it on the counter and filled two cups and put in the tea leaves to steep. He then turned to you and gently grabbed you by the waist and kissed your forehead. You giggled and rest your head on his chest.

After the tea had enough time to steep, he passed you the well-loved cup. He picked up his own and returned to the cot, you following close behind. You sat side by side, cross-legged, and sipped your tea. He looked down at you and smiled. "You are so gorgeous, darling." You blushed at his words and nuzzled up against him.

You finished your tea and set the empty cup aside, before slipping back into the furs and gesturing for him to follow you. He also set his cup aside and laid down. He wrapped his large arms around you and you sighed contentedly at his warmth.
