Chapter Text
Pete sighed as he leaned back against the brick building of the school. His head was swirling with emotions and he did not know what to do with how Vegas was treating him. His only escape right now was the cigarette that was slowly clearing his head. Porsche and Tay glanced at their friend and got up from the bench to check on him.
“What’s going on Pete?” Tay asked.
“Fucking Vegas happened. The asshole just corned me and punched me in the gut.” Pete said before taking a long drag of his cigarette.
His eyes went to Porsche who was family to him, the same man who has taken a knife to the gut to save him from a drug deal gone wrong.
“Well you did reject him.” Pol said as him and Arm joined the group.
“He only likes my physically, and I am not going to date someone who doesn’t like me for me. Fall for my personality then we can talk.” Pete said before he glanced at Porsche begging for a conversation change.
Luckily Porsche got the hint and quickly thought of something.
“Oh have you guys seen the new guys? Apparently, they are Vegas’s cousins.”
“Hope they aren’t like him.” Pete commented making the guys snicker.
Tay looked at his phone, and Pete frowned when tears started streaming down his cheeks.
“Shit Tay!” Pete put out his cigarette and rushed over to Tay who handed over his phone.
Porsche and Pete looked at the phone as Tay cried into Petes chest. It was heartbreaking for Pete to see Tay like this because out of the whole group he was the sweetest friend he had. He cherished Tay. Yoon was once again sleeping with someone else, and someone decided to send Tay a video of it.
“You should really dump him.” Arm said softly knowing it was a tough topic for Tay.
“He’s the only one who has stayed with me. I can’t dump him.”
Pete grit his teeth and turned his face away from Tay so he could cool off. Tay was so blinded by love, he didn’t even realize what he was doing to himself. Yoon deserved to go to hell for the mental abuse he has put Tay through.
“Woah what’s going on here?” Ché asked as him and Jom joined the group.
“Yoon is cheating again.” Pete said softly as he rubbed Tay’s silver hair.
“But I still don’t have permission to beat his ass?” Jom asked.
“Not yet, I am giving him a taste of his own medicine.” Tay said as he wiped the tears off his cheeks.
Pete used this sleeve to wipe the tears off his friends face, he truely was the mom of this damn group.
“Excuse me, where is the music building?” A new voice asked making the group turn to see 4 new faces.
“Yeah it’s that modern looking building across from the basketball court, Ché could show you, he’s a music major.” Pol said with a smile.
“Cousins and friend you really shouldn’t talk to these guys.” That oh so familiar voice said making Pete roll his eyes.
He took a moment to control his heartrate before he looked up at the man he has been crushing on for two years now.
“Stop taking your anger out on my friends just because I rejected you Vegas.” Pete said with a sigh.
The new people snickered, and the one with the light colored hair looked at Vegas before screaming.
“THATS WHAT YOU GET!” He yelled before he ran off.
The group blinked before the three ran after the crazy one. Pete looked back at Vegas who’s eyes were on him as always. It made his heart race, but at the same time he wished that Vegas would stop liking him, Vegas only likes him for his looks, he remembers that overheard conversation between Vegas and his little brother way too well.
“Alright Vegas how about this. One date you pick where and when, if we don’t click then we put an end to this and you back off from me and my friends.” Pete said with his arms crossed over his chest.
Vegas nodded and smiled before yelling something about texting Pete the details as he ran off. His heart was beating way too fast as he watched Vegas run off with a wide smile on his face, he should really smile more he is so attractive when he does. Pete shook his head before he turned back to Tay who was texting someone who offered to help him get revenge on Yoon.
“I feel like Tem is using this as an excuse to sleep with you.” Porsche said knowing how his friend acted way too well.
“I do not care one bit.” Tay said.
“When did Vegas start wearing glasses?” Arm asked after a minute.
“Mid year our first year.” Pete said without hesitation making the group look at him.
“What?”
The group looked at Pete, and he cocked his head to the side confused on why they were staring at him, that was until the same screaming from the crazy man was heard coming back there way. The group watched as the three men chased after the crazy one in the robes. Pete looked at Porsche who was on the verge of laughter, but as soon as the two met eyes they both lost their minds.
“Do you or porsche have a fight tonight?” Ché asked making Pete think for a moment.
“No I don’t believe so, do you Porsche?”
“Nope, why….what the fuck, Pete watch it!” Porsche yelled as he pushed Pete out of the way.
Pete looked up right as a basketball came flying at the group.
“Shit sorry guys!” A guy called.
The group waved him off and Pete brushed himself off as he got off of the ground.
“I have class soon. Let’s go Pete.” Porsche said making Pete nod.
Pete laughed as he jumped into Porsche’s bed. Porsche looked at Pete with a gleam in his eyes as he jumped on Pete who yelled. Ché leaned against the doorway and watched the two play around as smoke left his mouth.
“I have a race soon, are you two coming or are you gonna stay here and flirt with each other all night?”
Porsche laughed and got off Pete before looking at his brother.
“Of course we are coming.”
“Good I want my brothers there with me.” Ché said making Pete smile at him.
Ever since Porsche let him move in, Pete has made a strong connection with the two brothers and considered them his family, more than his old family was to him.
“Oh yeah, I heard from Tem that Vegas is there with his little brother so dress to impress Pete.” Ché said with a teasing tone making Pete roll his eyes.
“I will be dressing like a 12 year old boy then, keep that asshole away from me tonight.”
“Says the one who has a date with him.” Porsche said with a smirk.
Pete glared at Porsche before he turned and walked to his own room. Pete looked through his clothes and picked out a white and black silk button down, and black skinny jeans. He tucked in the front of his shirt, and left the first 4 unbuttoned, he wanted to cause problems, the more he pisses off Vegas the better his day is. Pete styled his hair and smirked before he met Porsche and Ché downstairs. Tay was at the door wearing a white shirt that was almost fully unbuttoned, and tucked into black leather pants, but to top that off he was wearing heeled boots.
“Tay you never cease to amaze me.” Pete said as he looked his friend over.
Pete sometimes wished pretty boys were his type, but no he liked the ones who looked like you could call them daddy. He liked the hot bad boys, and he hated himself for it.
“Likewise Pete, is Vegas supposed to be there?”
“You be quiet, but yes.” Pete said as he turned away.
The group started laughing, and Pete pouted for a moment before joining them. They got into separate cars, and drove to the race spot. The group saw their friends talking to the new guys, and Pete felt his heart sink when he saw Vegas making out with a guy in the corner of the parking garage. He was too late, he was always too late. Pete is a fuck up. He blinked away the tears, and turned to Tay trying to distract himself.
“Distract me.”
“Oh shit I see uhm, shit uhm Porsche!” Tay yelled before pointing to Pete.
Porsche came over and put a hand on Petes shoulder knowing the signs of Petes panic attacks. Porsche lead Pete outside and hugged Pete tightly to show him he was loved, because that’s what causes any of Pete’s panic attacks. The words that were said to him swirled in his head, and he clenched his eyes shut not wanting to spiral again. The last thing he needed was to start self harming again when he was been free from that for a year with Porsche’s help. Yet with one little action Vegas could break all that wor down again. Pete took in Porsche’s scent, and let that home scent bring him back to earth. Porsche knew Pete was doing better, so he loosened the hug and pulled away so he would look at Pete.
“Vegas was making out with someone, fuck it hurts Porsche, I should have just claimed him as mine before I lost my chance.”
“It’s his loss then Pete.” Porsche said softly.
Pete sat down and took a minute to cool off, but right as he got up the same guy that was on Vegas was thrown out by Vegas’s little brother.
“My brother is taken you fucking ass don’t force yourself on people!” Macau hissed at the man.
Macau looked up at Pete and let out a sigh of relief.
“I don’t know what’s going on with you, but Vegas is a mess and you are the only person I know who he will listen to.” Macau said with a pleading tone.
Pete nodded and glanced at Porsche before walking off to find Vegas.
