Kiss Me Like the Holovids

Summary:

Fives and Echo practically live at your student apartment, something that you absolutely adore. You love your Domino twins, but you can’t deny that you maybe, possibly want something a bit more romantic with one of them.

Notes:

Possibly contains a spoiler for the show New Girl, which I may may or may not be currently obsessed with. And have a little kiss, muah!

Work Text:

“What’s this called again?” Fives collapsed into your plush couch, bouncing on the lush pillows before welcoming your body into his side. You offered him a sip of your tea as his brother practically launched himself into your lap with a groan.

Fives nudged you forward while he rested his arm on the back of the couch and tugged you back in while Echo looped an arm around your thighs and rested his head atop them. You set your tea down on the coffee table to better weave your fingers through Echo’s hair.

Both Fives and Echo had just gotten back from a long campaign and had practically b-lined over to your apartment after showers for some hot food and chill time. You had met Fives out in the market one day when he helped jump start your speeder. After offering dinner as compensation, he introduced you to Echo and the rest is history. They would spend a lot of their leave at your place, hanging out and providing you the sweetest company this side of the planet.

They were there to run to the market with you, they were there when you felt like the sky was swallowing you up and spitting you out and they were there to comfort you when being away from your home-planet was just a little bit too much. Echo and Fives had carved out a giant hole in your heart that only they could ever fill. When they were gone -which was sadly more often than not- your little student apartment just felt too empty.

However, you couldn’t deny that you felt a little something… different, for Fives than you did for Echo. Fives made your heart act like a child with a jump rope every time he met your gaze with that sweet grin of his. He lavished adorable pet names and compliments on you, buttering you up to make his favorite meals or put on his favorite films and shows. Your apartment was always tidied before he left (you believed that Echo probably did the lion’s share of the work, honestly), he kept you tight to his side when you felt unsafe and his favorite greeting for you was a huge hug that had your feet dangling and kicking off the ground.

Echo was still one of your closest friends, your brother through thick and thin, but Fives. He had you sighing into your pillow and envisioning how nicely he would love you.

“We’re watching New Girl, Fives.” You sank into his side and rested your head on his pectoral. Echo’s soft hair filtered through your fingers and his weight in your lap remained nothing but a warm comfort.

“Alright. You wouldn’t happen to be over halfway through the show already, would you?” He teased. Fives eyes met yours when you shot a playful glare his way and you felt a little bolt of electricity shoot from your chest to your fingertips at his soft gaze.

Echo gasped and slapped at your shoulder lightly. “Forcing us to pick up another show from the middle, are we?”

“Possibly.” You paused, tapping Echo’s forehead with a finger. “You moochers aren’t allowed to complain. You crash my pad, watch my holoscreen, eat my food, and have the audacity to complain?” Fives flinched as you flicked at his bicep.

“It’s one of my favorite episodes too! Jess gets high with Cece!” You gestured at the girls handcuffed to their cop friend running away from the strip mall, animated music emanating from the speaker and enticing you to wiggle minutely to the beat.

Fives huffed a sigh and leaned his head against yours. “I suppose we could start another show from the middle again. Just for you, cyar’ika.” You didn’t know what his names in Mando’a meant, and all of his brothers that you had met had refused to give you a translation. All they had offered was a sly smile and affectionate eyes.

You turned back to the screen with a little huff, barely missing the pointed look Fives and Echo shared.

Echo yawned against your thigh and sat up, smushing you closer to Fives as he settled against you, effectively sandwiching you between your two favorite boys.

“I’m gonna go crash in the guest room. Goodnight, thanks for having us.” Echo squeezed your hand and knocked his forehead carefully against yours and then his brothers before getting up.

“Please, this is your home as much as it is mine. Goodnight, you moocher, sweet dreams.” You hummed, reaching out your hand to snag and squeeze his wrist affectionately one last time. Your guest room had been an office before you renovated it to hold a bunk bed for your boys. They probably stayed about an average of a week or two every few months, so it just made sense and it warmed your heart to see them decorate it as their own (you had almost made them take down a salacious poster once though).

Fives settled down deeper now that Echo had left an empty end of the couch, tugging you down to follow him. Your heart raced in your chest as he tucked your head beneath his chin and settled thick arms around your back.

“This is kinda funny.” He chuckled at the situation at hand on the screen.

You pressed your head down further into his chest, a quick beat filling your head, almost indistinguishable from your own. Oh, that was interesting. You weren’t exactly a medic, but even with a clone’s slightly different heart rate, his seemed a bit quick for a resting phase.

“Mm hmm.” You hummed, nuzzling your face sweetly into his chest to test your little theory. The thundering pulse under your ear seemed to quicken just a bit and Fives let out a deep sigh.

Oh, Fives had been touchy with you and filled you with idle flirtations, but that was similar to the things he did to almost everyone you had seen him with. You hadn’t quite entertained the idea of him liking you back, not wanting to indulge your crush without anything substantial.

“It’s pretty damn sweet too.” You sighed, watching as Aly seized forward to drag Winston in a sweet kiss onscreen. With only the slightest hesitation, you decided to take a small risk. “I think I would pass out if someone kissed me like that.” You let your index finger draw small circles on his shoulder that you had been gripping previously.

Fives froze beneath you. His hands encircled your waist, squeezing and lifting you slightly as he sat up ever so slightly. Now seated perched on his lap, he carefully slid his knuckles under your chin to draw your gaze from the holoscreen.

“Now why would you pass out from a kiss like that, sweetness?” He asked with a cheeky grin. “Has my girl not been getting adequate romantic attention? City kids not treating you right?”

“Oh, as a matter of fact, I have not been receiving adequate romantic attention. It’s been so long without tender, loving care that I believe that I may succumb to overwhelming emotion, should someone treat me right.” Your face was warming all the way down to your chest as you spoke. It was a kriffing miracle that you weren’t tongue tied and shaking. Fives tugged you closer to himself and your toes curled in your fluffy slippers at the awe and adoration in his eyes.

“What if I were to offer to… reacquaint you with the treatment that you deserve, would you accept, mesh’la?” Oh that made your head spin like a top.

“Why don’t you come knock me the kriff out, Fives?” You had to speak slowly to avoid stuttering from the warm breath that you could feel now from your close proximity.

Fives halted, pulling back to shoot you an inquisitive look.

“You want me to render you unconscious?”

Your hands slid up from his shoulders to frame his face.

“Kiss me like the kriffing holovid, Fives.” You demanded, unable to think about anything beyond what he would feel like against you anymore.

“Yes ma’am.” He breathed, surging forward and sliding his hand from your chin to cup the back of your head. The minute plush lips met your own, your eyes fluttered shut and your senses cranked up to eleven to feel nothing but the sensation of the wonderful, lovely soldier beneath you.

He tilted his head in your hands to get a better angle, crushing your body against his as he completely crashed against your decorative pillows. Teeth teased at your bottom lip, worrying it gently as you melted impossibly closer, adjusting your hold back to his broad shoulders.

Fives pulled away after another few heated seconds, moving his hands to smooth over your hair and frame your face.

You surged forward to pepper kisses across his face, unable to hold back your affections any longer. “It - took - you - long - enough!” You emphasize each word with a firm press of your lips against his face. He laughed, hands wandering to still your quick movements enough that he could press his lips against yours once more in a heated move.

Eventually, oxygen deprivation made you move back with a giggle, watching as he tried to chase your lips back. He sighed with a wide grin and leaned his forehead against yours. Pure elation seeped out from both Fives and yourself and you wiggled a bit from the overwhelming feelings washing over you.

“Echo’s been pushing me to ask you out for a while now.” He said finally, fingers rubbing comforting circles into the bend of your back.

“What’s stopping you, handsome?” You replied, grin practically plastered to your face.

“I don’t suppose I could date you like the holovid… they do end up dating, right?” He asked, his grin turning sheepish for once.

“They end up married.” You laughed. “But, yes, I would love to.”

“Marriage can also be a goal.” Fives laughed, yanking you back in before your mind could process his sentence, drowning your gasp with a happy groan that could only come from a man who was nothing but perfectly content in nearly every way.
