"Hey, Hajime."
I heard the voice waver in as I opened my eyes.
My eyes drifted to Nagito, standing over me. He looked like he hadn't slept in a week.
"Hajime, we need to go to the beach."
"Wh- wh"
My brain was slowly trying to process why Nagito was staring at me in my room.
"Alright.."
I couldn't think, so I didn't have a choice but to follow him. He wasn't going to let me back to sleep anytime soon.
He took me by the hand, helping me up.
I couldn't resist putting a hand through his soft hair. He never brushed it, and I had always wondered why it was so soft.
"Cmon Orange Juice. We can't waste time."
"Alright alright I'm coming."
I sat up fully, swinging my feet over the edge of the bed. Nagito was already in front of me for some reason.
"Faster. Race me there."
I hadn't even pulled my shirt on before Nagito was out the door, racing down the board walk.
"NAGITO-"
I pulled it on as fast as I could, grabbing my tie and stuffing it into my pocket- I could put it on later.
"NAGITO WAIT UP"
I never understood how Nagito ran so fast.
My legs were screaming and my lungs felt like they were going to explode by the time I caught up to him.
"What.. Where is everyone? I thought this was something important."
He laughed.
"No silly! This is just us. Don't worry."
He put his arm around me, and I felt a sense of dread. What was going on?
"Let's go swimming ok?"
He took his jacket off, tossing it aside.
"Monokuma said we could.. There's no sharks or anything."
"Alright I guess.."
I took my tie out of my pocket, setting it on top of Nagito's jacket.
"Coming!"

Monomi peered out from behind the palm tree.
"Oh Nagito.. Why do you do the things that you do. Please don't do this to Hajime, you love him! This is just wrong.."

"Hajime~"
Nagito's tone seemed genuine, and I felt my cheeks heat up.
But something still felt wrong. I couldn't place it.
I walked carefully into the water with him.
A trap maybe? Or what if there really is sharks?
I bit my fingernail, and I guess Nagito saw because he looked angry.
"Hajime, come here."
I obeyed. I don't know why, but his voice was just so demanding that I had to.
He slid his fingers into my hair, softly scratching my head.
"See, It's alright. It's alright..."
He gave me a hug from behind.
Then pulled me into the water.
I thought he was doing it for fun at first, but then I realized he was grabbing onto my throat and covering my mouth while his head could easily go above water.
I started to choke, but I didn't dare try and take a breath because the water would just make it worse.
I fought, scratching and hitting him.
When the black faded in, Nagito kicked me further under, him swimming to the surface.
I tried to swim up, but I couldn't. All the strength left my body.
The psychopath for hope had brought despair.
I continued to try, the last bit of hope coming out of me.
He smiled at it. A cheeky smile.
He knew what he had done.
It was only a matter of time before he got all of the others.
He was going to trick all of them.
I felt my body hit the bottom of the beach, the sand uncomfortably getting in my shirt.
But I couldn't move.
This was the end.
I laid there, the last thing I saw being Nagito's laughing form as I faded from existence.
