Work Text:
Ei would spend every waking moment with Miko if she could. Everyone knew that, it wasn’t like she tried to hide it. She loved every second they spent together. But these moments were probably her favorite.
The times when she would come home from work, and Yae Miko was waiting with a home-cooked meal for her on the dinner table.
The times where she could barely eat because the kitsune was clinging to her arms, reaching for her hands, and lovingly stroking her hair. It didn’t matter how hungry she was, Ei would never complain about her girlfriend’s neediness.
She was convinced the only sustenance she needed was Miko’s touch anyways.
Miko would always pester her about her day, attentively listening to every detail. Ei would complain about her incompetent subordinates, upcoming deadlines, et cetera, while Miko tutted sympathetically, nuzzling into her side. Ei would always have to fight the giggles caused by her lover’s fuzzy ears tickling her neck.
The times where they were free to exist in their own little bubble.
The times untouched by the cruelty and chaos of the outside world.
The times that were exactly like tonight.
“How about we watch that new drama darling?” Miko purred, reaching over to steal a noodle off her girlfriend’s plate.
“Sure,” Ei responded, looking at her with such fondness. “Braid my hair?”
Miko grinned and pressed an aggressive, audible ‘smooch’ to her lover’s cheek. “Well when you ask so nicely, how can I resist?” She reached for another noodle.
Ei giggled softly before reaching to scratch behind Miko’s ears. “Thank you for dinner, by the way. It was delicious as always.”
Miko hummed in agreement, relaxing into her girlfriend’s touch. “It was, wasn’t it? When you wife me up I’ll cook for you three times a day.”
“Well then I better hurry up, huh?” Ei felt Miko’s lips stretch into another smile as the kitsune buried her face into her shoulder.
“Don’t make promises you won’t keep, darling.”
“Oh, you know I have every intention of following through on this. You know I can’t cook for shit, I’d be lost without you.”
Yae Miko let out a delighted laugh at that, unable to suppress the blush adorning her cheeks. She was always the one flustering others, but her girlfriend was the only person who was capable of making her shy. “I hope that’s not the only reason you’d be keeping me around,”
“Oh, hush,” Ei rolled her eyes, getting up and grabbing Miko’s hand. “Let’s go watch tv.”
The two curled up on the couch, vaguely paying attention. They both much rathered to be wrapped up in the other’s presence.
After a while Miko got up and headed to their bedroom, before quickly returning with a brush in hand. “Sit up love, I’ll braid your hair.
Ei looked up at her, eyes sparkling. She quickly followed instructions, turning her back to the other so Miko had easy access. She let out a hum of contentment as her girlfriend gently began to brush her hair, taking her time avoiding tugging on any knots too harshly. She felt the slight tugs on her strands of hair as Miko began to separate and braid it. She closed her eyes, relaxing into her lover’s touch, the sound of the drama fading into the background.
“All finished, love.” Miko said, pressing a kiss to her head before sitting back. Ei turned around to grin at her, before reaching for the brush.
“It’s my turn,” She said, looking at her girlfriend with pleading eyes.
“Ei…”
“Please, Miko.” Ei kept trying, putting on her best puppy dog eyes. “If you don’t keep up with your tail it’ll get mangled and you’ll complain.”
Yae Miko sighed before relenting. “I spoil you too much,” She replied, lying down on her girlfriend’s lap.
“Don’t act like you don’t like it.” Ei chided, carefully combing through Miko’s fluffy tail. Miko just sighed and curled up closer.
They spent the next 10 minutes or so like that. Ei took much longer than needed to ensure Miko’s tail was shiny and fluffed. Only the best for her lover, of course. After she finished, she peered down at her girlfriend, to find Miko dozing lightly.
Ei smiled softly, moving to gently stroke Miko’s ears once again. She thought her girlfriend looked most beautiful like this, so peaceful, so at ease. She thought about how she’d do anything to maintain the calm mindset behind the other’s steady breathing.
Ei was the breadwinner of the two, but she hardly minded. Whilst she attended her nine to five office job, working tirelessly as a senior partner at an esteemed law firm, Miko was working hard at university earning her masters of divinity. Ei sometimes found it hard to believe that someone so brilliant and complex like Miko could fall in love with her. When she voiced those doubts, her girlfriend would turn it right back on her.
Miko often liked to joke that she had found herself a sugar mommy, but Ei would just scoff and brush her off. She knew that their partnership was an equal one, that even if she provided the financial support, Miko was there to fill in any other possible gaps; the cooking had been only the start.
When Ei had finally gained the nerve to ask Miko to move in together, the latter had taken it upon herself to drag both of them to Ikea. She took one look at her girlfriend’s bare apartment (being a lawyer was time consuming, okay?) and decided enough was enough. If she was living there, they would need more than one 20 year old dusty couch, and five pieces of generic boring wall art Ei’s mother had sent her.
Four years and one springy new mattress later, and the couple was living lavish. Ei was perfectly content with giving Miko her Amex Gold whenever the other mentioned she wanted to purchase a piece of art for their living room, or a new rug for the bathroom, or pair of fuzzy handcuffs for the bedroom. Ei still blushed when she thought about that last purchase, but she indulged her lover nonetheless.
Miko had also tasked herself with making sure Ei took care of herself. The busy hotshot lawyer tended to bring her work home, wracking up billable hours in her sleep. The kitsune made sure that Ei still took time to eat, relax, and actually sleep, whenever her girlfriend was struggling with a case. Miko had her own responsibilities, sure, but she always ensured taking care of Ei was at the top of her list.
Ei truly did not know what she had done to deserve a partner, a soulmate, that was so lovely and caring. Maybe she had saved a burning village in her past life. Whatever the reason, she was eternally grateful, and always did her best to prove to Miko how much.
Yae Miko couldn’t breathe.
Ei was relentless between her thighs, frankly the kitsune wasn’t sure how she was breathing. Miko let out a moan much too loud for their thin walls, unable to suppress it when Ei added her fingers inside while she tongued her girlfriend’s clit.
“Darling, I’m close,” Miko warned her, eyes shut tightly. Ei looked up at her mischievously, before withdrawing both her tongue and fingers.
Miko’s eyes flew open and she let out a whine. “What exactly are you doing, little one?”
Ei couldn’t help her grin, entirely too pleased with herself. “I didn’t want you to cum yet.”
Miko’s glare softened, but she still rolled her eyes exasperatedly. “Well if you’re quite finished with your little power trip, could you please get back to it darling?” She playfully bopped the underside of Ei’s chin.
“I’ll allow it for now, but only because you’ve been good. Act up again pet, and I won’t let your next bratty stint slide.”
Ei blushed, before ducking her head in apology. All her former cockiness flew out the window the second Miko displayed a little dominance over her. She brought her mouth back to her lover’s cunt, grinning at the way the kitsune bucked her hips against the other’s tongue.
This time, when she felt Miko’s thighs beginning to tremble on each side of her head, and heard a loud whine from at the top of the bed, she didn’t pull away. She licked and sucked at her lover’s clit through Miko’s high. She greedily pushed the other into overstimulation, only stopping when the kitsune pushed at her head while giggling softly.
“Easy puppy, that’s enough.” Miko panted, sitting up slightly. She raised an eyebrow when she made eye contact with Ei.
Ei smiled sheepishly in return, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand. “You taste good.”
Miko huffed out a laugh before pressing a kiss to her girlfriend's lips, faintly tasting herself. “Oh, little one, you don’t have to flatter me to get me to help you.” She pulled Ei in closer, laying the other on her back, leaning in to bite at her neck.
“Doing whatever I want to you is almost as fun as you taking care of me.”
Ei whined loudly.
Miko grinned at her, pressing her thumb into the bruise blossoming at the base of her neck. The initial purple hue seemed to match Ei’s hair, and well, Miko had always thought she looked beautiful in purple.
“Just relax now, my love. I’ll take care of you.”
Ei was startled out of her daydreams by a loud alarm sounding. It was her phone ringing. She picked it up, and yes, it was work calling.
“Mm, can you turn that off puppy?” Miko lazily swatted in the direction of Ei’s phone. Ei kissed her forehead apologetically.
“I’m sorry my love, it’s the office.” Ei said regretfully, reaching over her girlfriend for her phone.
Miko grabbed her wrist before she could get very far. “Let it ring.”
“But something could be wrong-”
“Let. It. Ring.” Miko gave her lover a beyond saccharine pout. “Or is my pet gonna misbehave?”
Ei gazed exasperatedly at her. Truly, this was not the time, if Miko had wanted to join her reminiscing on more scandalous times, she should’ve woken up earlier. She was about to open her mouth in protest when she caught Miko’s teasing eyes glinting.
She let out a sigh of defeat before leaning back against the couch.
Miko let out a loud laugh of victory, before getting up and beginning to press kisses all over Ei’s face. The latter couldn’t suppress her giggles, Miko’s fuzzy ears tickling her once again. “Okay, okay! Mercy please.”
Miko settled back, admiring the state of her blushing girlfriend. “I love you,” She said suddenly.
Ei looked back up at her in surprise, then broke out into the widest smile she could muster. “I love you too, you’re everything.”
“You better hurry up and wife me then,” Miko replied, burying her face in Ei’s shoulder.
“Don’t worry, I plan on it.”
