Soft as Silk and Bitter as Sin

Summary:

Sebastian took the invite with a renewed keenness. Kneeling in front of her, he took her hand in his and kissed the middle knuckle. “‘I need you.’ Nothing more, nothing less. Just a simple phrase.” Then he lay in wait, crimson eyes studying her as she conjured up the courage.

“I..” she hesitated, feeling something in her body begin to change. Something unknown, something she would find out later- but only when it’s too late. “I..need you..”

There are just some sanguinary temptations that even demons can’t evade.

Work Text:

Another starless night had graced London with darkness covering it like a mother would her child. Only the moon had managed to pierce through the inky black smog of the intruding barrier; yet even its own shine was dull as opposed to the other nights of London. Others pinned it to the industrialist nature of the country, but she knew better. It was a signal, almost like the beckoning of a storm that came once every month. A storm in the form of a man.

Rustling came from outside her window and she didn’t bother turning around in her chair in front of her vanity, instead opting to look at the mirror above her shoulder where she saw a raven flying past and disappearing into the dark sky. Its body melding in like dipping an ink-soaked brush back into water. With her fingers still separating and combing through her hair, she noticed that there was a chill that settled in her room. Odd as that was. Since they were approaching the swing of summer, where a distant warm breeze would always greet her from the open waters to remind her of what month it was.

“Mistress.” There came a knock at her door and the pallid face of one of the help revealed herself. The hand that gripped the brass knob had knuckles rubbed raw from a day of scrubbing the house and even from the dim candlelight, she saw the cracks rising up from the skin. A mark that would often grace those that work in her household.

“Mary-Ann..” The woman at the vanity motioned her to come in and she turned to face her with a small, silver pot in her hand. “Come.” Standing up, she motioned for her to sit down where she was and the maid’s eyes widened. “Father would have gone to bed by now. Not even the Queen’s death would wake him up. Worry not.”

Mary-Ann took a seat and let her hand be taken by her mistress. Inside the silver pot was a pure white cream; taking a dollop, her mistress spread the cream over her knuckles and the maid couldn’t help but let out a sigh. The cracks seemed to disappear completely, dispersing once the skin melted together and the redness alleviated and lifting from the surface. “He works you too hard,” the noblewoman murmured.

“Is that why you do it?” Mary-Ann inquired softly, her voice barely loud enough to influence the flames on the candelabrum beside them.

“My reasons are my own,” her mistress responded with the same airy breath. “Now- do you have it?”

From beneath Mary-Ann’s soot stained dress was a small envelope that crumpled underneath the weight of the cloth it was hidden under. She watched as her mistress retrieved it from her and tucked it away in her vanity drawer. Raising a finger to her lips, she smiled at her maid. “Your freedom will be granted for this. You have my word.”

“May I speak freely?”

“Of course,” she almost wanted to scoff. “I’m not the patriarch of this house. My permission is unnecessary.”

“Is your hate for him that strong that you would be willing to take everything he has?”

Her mistress’ lips shrunk in a tight line across her usually creaseless face. “I’m afraid I musn’t discuss my reasons with you. My apologies.”

“No no,” the maid looked down at her hands, thoroughly embarrassed. “The fault is mine.” Before she got up, she turned to the candelabrum and gestured towards it. “Shall I..?”

“No. Not tonight. I bid you sweet dreams, Mary-Ann,” she replied with a sweeter smile.

“Of course.”

As soon as she left, the noblewoman sat back and felt her body hunch over slightly with her shoulders dragging her body forward. But after a while of lax posture, she scolded herself loudly within her own head and straightened up as if a turnstock lined up against her spine- just as it had when she was a little girl. This made her smile.  Always with the manners. Even after hours where no one decent would see her.

Another rap came from her bedroom window and this time she turned around and saw that both of the glass paned latches were flung open. She stood up immediately, approaching the window with a trepidation she didn’t experience much. Outside, she was greeted with the stench of rotten sewage, mildew, and brine. All a concoction that could only come from the river Thames had one been so unlucky to catch a drift of wind that strayed from the waters. Normally anyone would scrunch up their nose in response, but she lived near these waters. No use in partaking in tradition even for familiarity.

Shutting the windows, she jumped again when a strong gust of wind had blown out the candles behind her and drenching the room in soft indigo. Gooseflesh rose along her skin in even patches and exacerbated more so when she felt more wind- this time, on her neck- grace the delicate skin there.

“My dear lady. You shouldn’t lean so far out of the window.”

The corner of her mouth tugged into a smile. “Hazardous falls don’t concern me- especially when I know you’re here.”

To consolidate her claims, she felt an arm wrap around her waist; steady and firm as the stone that lay upon the rivers. “I hadn’t known you to be so reliant on others.”

“Don’t be so hasty. I know it would be far more interesting to you if I were still alive.”

“Is that what you think of me?”

“I just know you are the type to find death rather irritating rather than tragic. Isn’t that right?” She turned to him with a smile. “Sebastian?”

Peering from the darkness came deep crimson eyes; the color of rubies intertwined with obsidian veins imbued with some sort of ethereal energy. It was always so odd- this aura he emanated. Not too long ago, chance had their paths cross on a particularly rainy day that forced her to find shelter in a dingy part of the slums.

Underneath a wooden veranda, she waited for hours till the rain finally teased her and dangled a promise of stopping until at last it revealed London’s dreary scenery to her… as well as some of its citizens who matched the unpleasant nature of where she stood. Underneath their coats, she remembered seeing the protruding pommels of hastily fashioned knives meant more so for threats rather than doing anything dire. When they took them out, it confirmed to her that they would do no harm to her as it would to a slice of toast.

“What ‘ave we got ‘ere?” Their apparent ringleader asked.

“I think I seen her father work the dock shipments,” she heard another whisper.

“Well that’s somethin’. Why don’t you give us a tour, love?”

Phrases containing language not utilized by ‘refined’ young ladies like her came to mind and instead she bit the inside of her cheek. Instead, her gloved hand grabbed a rock that she had found by the shore and she had fully intended to take it home- until a more apparent use came to mind. In one swift movement, she arched her arm back and launched it towards the man closest to her. A loud groan came from him as a hand shot up to hold his head that contained a sloppy patch of red once removed. His eyes narrowed, turning a shade sinister as he approached her without a sound save for the heavy breaths that came out of her.

What the papers would say the next day flashed across her mind in an embarrassing announcement. ‘Daughter of Shipping Company Magnate Dies in alleyway!’ Had her mother been around still, she could see the frail paper being darkened and softened by the tears that fell from her face. But in between the moments where the brute’s hand came towards her as she took a step back- something small and silver appeared between them both.

A knife. Fashioned for a much more delicate task such as spreading butter on toasted brioche. Though it seemed to have a deadlier use as blood decorated the softly serrated edges like strawberry jam. The brute grunted, falling backwards and holding his arm which had a clean cut alongside the front. Then, there in the shadows of the alleyway, a man in black appeared and she felt a breath freeze in her throat. His ghostly pale face reminding her of one of the porcelain dolls she’d always receive for every Christmas without fail. With a complexion too perfect, she’d wonder if he was even the one that threw the knife. How can someone with such an angelic face be at fault?

“What’s your problem now?” the bleeding man questioned him. “Someone in clothes like those shouldn’t mess with the likes of us.”

He was right. The man emerging from the shadows was much too clean to be wandering around parts like this. And from the looks of it, he seemed to be someone’s servant.

“Ladies shouldn’t be afforded with such rude behavior,” the man in black said. Oh god. His voice was deep. Thick like cough syrup yet doused with the sweetest of flavors that made it palatable for anyone listening. That voice came through thin, pointed lips that were turned in what seemed to be a perpetual smirk. How stupid, she thought, our situation is precarious. A noblewoman and a servant- how good is our chance of survival just now?

To answer her hidden question, the butler retrieved something from under his topcoat and when he pulled out; it revealed a set of silver spoons and forks in between the crooks of his gloved hand. At this the brutes began to laugh and she couldn’t help but feel her hopes be shot down and sink to the bottom of the Thames.

“Only one knife? Shame, that.” One of her would-be assaulters tutted his lips as he picked up the one that was thrown at him. “Will we be having tea then?” he said, laughing at the other milder cutlery that the butler held. “I think I changed my mind. I’ll have you first- and her next.”

A sharp whistle pierced her ears as the man in black flung the cutlery towards them. It was incredible. From the moment that the utensils left his hand, they found themselves embedded within her aggravators. One fork dug deep in one man’s chest, and a spoon had found itself a new home in the other’s eyes. She froze at the sight. The blood spurting through the fork reminded her a steak that was much too rare and she felt something thick and sour rise up her throat until she forced it back down.

When she took a breath, she turned back to him with her chin held up high. “These bodies need disposal. Lest we both face criminal charges.”

The man’s brows shot up before only one lowered, indicative of his curious nature. “‘We’? Are you attempting to involve yourself in this?”

“..I did throw a rock at the man. Even though what you did was more illegal.”

He shrugged, tilting his head to the side while closing his eyes and smiling, seemingly contemplating something. “Speaking of illegality. I think it’s rather scandalous that the daughter of someone so esteemed in our economy would find herself in deep trouble if the public finds out why she sneaks out so much.” Plucking something from his chest pocket, he had a piece of parchment between his middle and index finger. Its sides were frayed and burned and her eyes betrayed her disbelief. “May I offer advice? Try to see that the evidence is burnt completely before walking away.”

“...What do you want?” She didn’t even feel her body moving as she backed away from him, only hearing the rhythmic clacking of her heels and the solid brick wall that stopped her. That angelic face turned into something more mischievous and devilish in nature and when she saw his wide grin, she swore she saw fangs.

A hand stopped her from shimmying away. Pressing deep into the brick beside her head, she felt her heart attempt to brust free from her chest and run off without her. “You,” his reply was simple. “Your assets.”

“At least do me the consideration of introducing yourself before threatening me.”

There was that devilish smile again. “Sebastian.”

“Are you reminiscing again?” Came his voice. “There’s no use digging in the past.”

“There is if I’m trying to figure out your identity,” she chastised him. “I was only given your first name. Nothing more.”

“Names are powerful,” he nodded in agreement as he spun her around with a finger intertwined in her hair and spinning it around until it wrapped the white of his glove. “They shouldn’t be given lightly.”

“I’m just attempting to find out who you work for.”

He let out a small, amused laugh. “You think I work for someone?”

“It almost insults me how little you think of me. But yes, I do. It’s too convenient that you were there just as I was getting cornered by those men. And your nightly visits don’t come without a price. You’re extracting things from me- for someone. For what, I can’t say just yet.”

“Shouldn’t you be glad?” his grip tightened around her waist. “I’m helping you take down your father. This is what you wanted.” His lips found its way to her neck, dusting it with the slightest of touches but not enough to weigh down on her skin.

“It’s what your master wants as well,” she murmured and couldn’t help but feel some sort of smug satisfaction when he stopped short. “All that's left is to figure out who that is exactly.”

“Why?”

“I want to know who benefits from my family's downfall.”

She felt air tickle her flesh as he chuckled. “You say such surprising things at times, my lady.”

“You seem amused.”

“No.” A finger lifted her chin. “I’m simply interested.”

“With what my body has to offer?”

“Bodily temptations don’t entertain me as much as what the soul has to offer. I find the latter much more satisfying.

A shiver went down her spine. An alarm so overwhelming rushed over her and an urgent need to flee almost forced her on her knees. She had always assumed there was something odd about Sebastian. No matter how handsome he was, no matter how salacious and heavenly his tongue was- somehow she knew it was dangerous to be alone in a room with him. And yet..

“Roses today?” he whispered as his nose and lips ran along the ridge of her neck, smelling the fragrant oil that smothered her skin. “Were you expecting something to happen?”

Placing her hands on his chest, she pushed him back suddenly and she was forced to look at his face. One eyebrow raised and his head tilted slightly to the right, it always reminded her of a feline with the way he behaved. His expression softened into a smile. “Did I do something wrong, my lady?”

“Cease that,” her whisper was harsh and impatient. “I feel as if you’re lying to me.”

“Lying?” There it was again. Those cat-like features.  “Why would I lie to you? It’s against my nature.”

“I feel like you’re hiding something from me. Your true self perhaps.”

“My true self?”

“Yes. I always feel as if there’s something lurking beneath the depths,” she admitted. “Something that could snap at any time. Why do you hide it?” A surge of boldness had entered her and she decided to ride upon it. “You always struck me as a man who seemed hungry. For what, I’m not sure.”

“There’s a reason for everything,” his lips found the surface of her ear and relished it with his sweet voice as he spoke. “My master has been afforded the lesson that he should never bite off more than he can chew- perhaps you should do the same.”

A gentle laugh came out of her. “Is your master a child?”

Sebastian did not return her sentiment and she focused her gaze on the barely visible sphere that hovered in the sky. “Well, well.. That does narrow my list of suspects.” He remained silent as she swiveled her body still gripped by his arm and now watched the two blood moons nesting on a porcelain atmosphere and laced with sharp, black rain. Stepping up onto her toes, her lips parted slightly as their skin danced on the edge- barely touching, barely breathing. She waited and waited, until: “The envelope’s on the vanity. I’m sure the latest business ventures not yet revealed to the public might interest you.”

With that final clause, she backed away until her back felt the shrill cold that was unforgiving. The weather itself wasn’t exclusive, but the way it wrapped around a person was like a robber would their victim. And much like the weather, London’s people were apathetic to the plights of those who couldn’t benefit them socially and through materialistic means. She would’ve liked it better if she wasn’t counted as one of these people, but her previous ventures with this butler had proved otherwise. The fact that these late visits were of the more salacious nature.. In her mind- it made her worse than those mentioned prior.

Just as she released herself from his spell, she felt his hand snake around her waist again. Fixating her in front of him, his finger lifted her chin up so that he could see. “I’ve come for more than that.” His voice was so low that it reminded her of the sound of the mutable rumble of the ocean she used to hear when she visited the beach as a girl. How the cerulean water beckoned to her and invited her within the depths- promising treasures in sunken ships that still held everything that the pirates would plunder. As dangerous as it was beautiful- she knew diving beneath the swell would invite death.

What more could he possibly want? “I’ve nothing else beyond this information for you. If you could just give me time then I’ll procure something else.”

“Now who said anything about information?” She felt his hand travel across her stomach, just barely below the curve of her breast, dancing across the tips of her shoulder and, finally, to her throat. “Remember: the contents of one’s soul interests me far more.” His voice rang in her ear like a bell bringing the conclave to the church, drawing her to the main event like one who had been indoctrinated. “I sense your desire to see your father’s empire fall. And you don’t seem to care one bit if you fall with him.. Now that -” his voice lit up with delight, “-is intriguing. Don’t you agree?”

There was a hunger that laced his voice now and something in her gut clenched tightly, twisting and turning and yelling at her to run. Get away from this place. From him . The way he talked to her now.. It was so different from the past. Sebastian was always sweet, the rudest he had ever been were the sly remarks masquerading as simple observations that he would make about other people she knew. It almost felt like she made a deal with the-

“You weren’t forced into this agreement, my lady,” he reminded her, cutting off her thoughts and making her jump. “You wanted this. Remember? You wanted my assistance, never once giving thought to what it would cost you in return. All you could think about was your anger and the injustice done to you. It’s so delightfully sweet.”

With effort, she had found her voice. “I sound as if I’m about to be eaten.”

He returned a chuckle. “Not yet, no. But continue down this path and we’ll see. As far as I know- it seems as if you’d fit as a dessert.”

A hand raised up to strike him just as his rose to meet hers, trapping her wrist inside his all the while angling her body to press up against the solid wall. A veil of shadow had fallen over Sebastian’s face in a straight line that separated it into diagonals. Here, in the darkness, it almost seemed as if his eyes burned like embers that originated from an endless hell fire; rather than the deep crimson, there seemed to be a glow that erupted from within him, making his eyes appear to be a myriad of dark purple and red. Two blood-soaked rubies veined with amethyst that had shaped themselves perfectly into irises upon a pale, statuesque face. And what was that when he smiled? Something sharp. Something that glinted in the soft moonlight.

She held her breath as well as her fear.

Leaning down, his lips grazed on her neck. Teeth making an invisible cut on her flesh as she swallowed, causing a lump to form in her throat and forcing further contact with his lips. The man took it as an invite, leaving a gentle kiss that stole the breath away from her throat- leaving her lips to part as she gasped. Sebastian rarely let anything go to waste, opportunities most of all and so- his lips found hers and she was now, indubitably, under his spell. One of her arms were still pinned above her head while another had found the small of her back and unlaced the ribbon that held her robe fast against her body. With one tug, it came undone and she felt the silk fall around her shoulders to teeter off the edge of exposing her body.

The cold linen from his gloves had touched her, making her arch her back and press her chest against his. Her breaths had elevated, forcing the peaks of her breasts to rise and fall as the sensation of his hands clutching her skin had left her dazed. Before long, the hand that pinned her arm cradled the side of her face and forced her to look at him through half-lidded eyes weighed down by lust. It made her face heat up, casting a soft rouge upon her cheeks. They had only teased and touched each other up until now- their exchanges marked with biting kisses that could easily be concealed under layers of clothing. But something about this time had been different. Something about him was different.

“Say it.”

“Say what?” she whispered.

“Tell me you want this.”

Her reverie had snapped and she rose from the lust-addled miasma with an irritated tut of her lips. “Must I? Our nightly visits don’t often go unrewarded for you, my dear butler. You already know my desires.”

“I request that I hear it. Say the words.” A finger lifted her chin again. “Say that you need me.”

Need? Such a drastic word. Sebastian was handsome, yes, far more handsome than any man she had encountered thus far. But she did not need such transient delights in her life; certainly not one based on a business transaction. It kept repeating inside her head: I don’t need this. I don’t need this. I don’t need this. I don’t need him.

“Say it,” he asked so sweetly, leaving kisses on the skin by her ear. “Tell me what you need.” By this point, his hand slithered under the hem of her nightgown and found the bare skin that was left. “We haven’t ventured this far yet, have we?” The gloves of his hand added an additional sensation, creating friction as his middle finger traced the outline of her labia- earning a soft gasp.

“We shouldn’t..”

“I know you don’t mean it, my lady. I’ve seen the way your face reddens at the sight of me lately.”

“No, we shouldn’t,” she repeated. “Someone will hear.”

He chuckled. “Is that all you’re worried about? To have someone in this house stir?” After she nodded, he chuckled again. “This house should be the least of your worries.. If things really went my way, I would have the whole of this street hearing you.” His taunts grew just as much as his actions. “How unfortunate would it be for the daughter of an esteemed merchant to reveal her adulterous nature at this late hour? Absolutely scandalous.”

Of all the words she could’ve used- none came out and she was left speechless. Gooseflesh had already lined up on her skin, reacting to the butler’s meager touches that was easily acclimated to certain parts of her body that were especially sensitive. “I feel as if I might regret this,” she wondered aloud and she felt the corners of his thin lips turn into a smile against her skin. “This is the sort of thing they advise against in sermons.”

“Sin is only a matter of perspective, my fair lady.” Sebastian kissed her neck and this time, he bit her and made her moan against her own hand she used to stifle her sounds. “Come. Explore this unknown terrain with me.”

His gloves felt soft against her skin and he tilted her head back so he could lean down to plant yet another tender kiss upon her lips. They remained tightly knit for a while before she finally dared to press back and wrapped her arms around his neck. When she let out another moan, she felt his tongue sneak in and snake along hers. Her moan grew louder as her tongue tasted him, salivating his taste on her taste buds before pulling away and watching, with reddened cheeks, as a line of saliva had briefly connected them. Shining and shimmering before breaking apart like a thin line of a spider’s thread.

Catching her breath, she looked up at him like a young schoolgirl would behold someone she had grown sweet upon and it didn’t help that he looked so sure and smug.

“Why are you looking at me like that?”

“I can’t help but notice how bashful you get when we kiss, my lady.”

She started to pull away, her heart beating faster- but he kept her in place. Stroking the back of her hair. “Don’t be so bashful. This is only the beginning and you’re already behaving like this..” His words were spoken against her neck. “How can I expect you to contain yourself as the night goes on?”

His words served an obvious warning, and she foolishly overlooked it.

“Sebastian-!” She gasped as his hand grasped her hips, the other, on the barren silk on her chest. The stimulation in conjunction with the cold air made her nipple harden under his touch, enticing a smile on the young butler’s face. Slipping off her robe completely, she felt it pool around her feet until she shivered under the air that attacked her skin relentlessly.

“I already feel you getting aroused,” he whispered into her ear. “Shall we go further tonight?” His hands reached underneath her butt, lifting her up into his arms and tossing her onto the bed. He stood over the edge just as the mattress settled, looking down at her, studying and pondering what his next move would be. When he was decided, he brought a hand up to his lips and with his teeth, bit the tip of the middle finger to slide it all the way off and let it fall onto the bed near her bare legs. She had only ever pleasured herself with her fingers, her most intimate parts never knowing the pleasures of a man. Until now , she found herself thinking with both dubious and glee thoughts. The one thing she was most certain of was how absolutely delightful she found the butler’s wayward touches. How they felt leagues better than anything she could ever do on her own.

“You deserve this,” he cooed, letting his hands slide up and down the length of her inner thigh. “You deserve me.” The pads of his fingers played a song on the flesh near her opening, allowing her to accompany him in song with the gentle sway of her moans. “Now let’s try again. Tell me what you need.” Sebastian watched as the woman below him bit her lip, shaking her head in irksome defiance. One of his eyebrows twitched just as the smirk he wore widened. After all, there was no satisfaction gained from an easy hunt.

“Very well,” he forced himself to sound nonchalant. “Then I will simply have to convince you.” Through peaked eyes, she saw him remove his other glove. Though this time it was done in a manner so feral, she almost failed to realize that it was Sebastian in all of his learned social graces. Then just as his eyes gleamed, there she saw the pointed tooth that signaled her body to get away from this place as fast as she could. It was a fear that was quelled instantly as soon as he placed his hands on her hips and lifted it up until her legs rested on his shoulders.

What are you doing? She wanted to ask, but was soon silenced as her lips froze in place just as she gasped and let out an ‘oh!’. All of her doubtful notions instantly washed away just as soon as she felt his tongue glide over the set of lips between her thighs. A sensation most velvety and seductive filled her as his tongue outlined the lips of her womanhood, allowing her to imagine what her opening looked like based on how he so intricately and carefully traced it. A flower came to mind, not yet revealing it’s full self but still remaining in it’s adolescent stages. Pink and flourishing, she felt its nectar seep out as the butler’s skilled tongue delved deeper between the petals; tasting the juice that was yet to be honey and relishing the soft exhales that made her body shudder in delight.

Just as she thought his tongue was enough to send her over the threshold of desire, she found that a new set of expectations had been broken as a finger began sliding up to feel the inside. Sebastian’s finger were so long and slim and felt so good prodding at the inner walls. Pressing and undulating back and forth, she bit onto her bottom lip to prevent herself from making any sound that would escape the thin walls of her bedroom. In tandem with his fingers, she felt his tongue run over her clit and made her hips buck and hand grab onto a fistful of his hair. At first she considered letting go immediately, but when she heard a low groan from the other man- she reconsidered and held fast.

She whispered his name between panting breaths, encouraging his head to burrow deeper within her until she felt the bridge of his nose ride up along her clit. The hard bone found inside the slim bridge of his nose had added stimulation that found her holding back the urge to orgasm right then and there. Throwing her head back, her moan turned into a mild scream as his teeth found her nub and nipped at it gently. She felt something almost spray from within her, and she panicked as the constant feed of new sensations almost sent her into a psychosis and ascended high into the clouds. Once he sucked on her clit again, the shock sent her back into a perfect arch, into a rainbow that surfaced into the night. One finger, then two, she rocked her hips back and forth to get as much friction as possible. She felt her climax approach her quickly, promising her another night sunken into pleasure. Or at least, that’s what she wanted to assume. Her orgasm was met with cruel fate as it stopped rising, aborted at the last minute as Sebastian withdrew his fingers with a slick pop!

From where she lay, she saw his mouth pulling into a smug grin and his lips wet with her desire. Along the edges of his two fingers, there lay evidence of her arousal that dripped in generous helpings down the crevices of his palm. Her breath finally caught up to her just as she propped herself up on her elbows and looked up at him with distraught. “Why did you stop?”

The butler shrugged, pretending that the sight of her did not arouse him at the slightest. “I couldn’t tell if you were enjoying that, my lady.”

“What?” She sat up, irked that her climax was interrupted by something so foolish. “You couldn’t tell? Surely you’re not that ignorant to a woman’s wiles, Sebastian. You knew I was.” Taking his hand, she showed him how parts of it were still glistening. “Can you not see?”

“Yes, but I did not hear you.”

“I think you heard me just fine.”

“Don’t mistake me. Your sounds are delightful, but I specifically remember requesting you tell me something specific.”

She sighed. This again. It was odd seeing him act in this manner. Usually he remained humble, once even offering to pour her tea after one of their midnight escapades. What was so different about this time? Sitting up, she held her chin up high and met his amused gaze. “Then tell me what exactly you want to hear once more.”

Sebastian took the invite with a renewed keenness. Kneeling in front of her, he took her hand in his and kissed the middle knuckle there.

Though those were the words he requested, he did not look satisfied just yet. “Once more,” he instructed. “With conviction.” This time, his lips found her wrist and kissed her there. Another hand had wandered down below, running a finger over her clit once more and forcing her knees to buckle ever so slightly. His eyes watched her as she bit her lip, deciding on what to do with every passing second and every kiss laid upon her skin. When she still looked undecided, he laced a finger across the lips of her womanhood and she shuddered.

“I need you,” she gasped and gave in, “Sebastian.”

“Try again.”

Her hands tightly grasped the lapel of his tailored suit, digging her nails through the fabric until she felt them cut through the fabric to leave indentations on the heel of her palms. “I said: I need you, Sebastian! Take me- take all of me!”

At this, the man in black seemed satisfied at last and his eyes warmed at the sight of her.

Prying one of her hands, he lifted it towards his lips and held her gaze even as he kissed her there once more. He held her securely, making her feel more safe than she had ever felt in her life. “Yes, my lady.”

In one swift motion, Sebastian lifted her back onto the bed, allowing himself some space to release the belt that held his pants fast. Impatient, though, as she was- fumbled after him, unbuttoning the front of his pants and reaching for the hardening member that lay just beneath. She hadn’t had the chance of feeling the bare skin on her hand before, only ever having the pleasure of feeling it through fabric between chaste touches. It felt surprisingly soft and pliable, it was fascinating how warm it felt in her hands. This was a path she avoided entirely until tonight, and now that she felt it in her hands.. A  part of her chastised herself for not delving into this sooner; while another part felt as if she would regret this. The girth seemed to be made easy for her hand to grasp, the length, on the other hand.. Surely this would hurt.

“Having second thoughts?” he smiled when he saw the bewilderment in her eyes. “I’m afraid there will be no refunds.” Leaning down, his breath tickled her ear. “You’ve already made a contract with me. But I won’t be so cruel as to refrain any form of choice from you. Tell me: would you like it rough or soft?”

Her nails clutched at the cloth on his back and she was tempted to rip it off. It was unfair that she was the only one bare and yet he remained practically pristine. It was unfair that she was the only one being unraveled like a piece of candy while he stood to gain everything. And so, she let her hands fall to grip at the front of his suit jacket and in one swift movement, ripped the front off and sending the buttons flying onto the wooden floor. Sebastian’s eyebrow raised in surprise before giving in and letting her strip him of his jacket and next, his undershirt. She took a moment to admire the structure of his body. It wasn’t overtly muscular, but slim and toned. As she ran her finger over the pale skin, she felt the hard interior masked by the soft skin on the outside. She noted how soft it was and was more so led to believe that this man in her bed couldn’t be real.

“You’ve come this far to convince me that I need you,” she said in a near mocking tone. “I suggest you take me how you like, else my embarrassment would be for nothing.”

Another smile tugged at one point of Sebastian’s lips and his eyes, narrowed in hunger, seemed to glow once more. “As you wish, my lady.”

Looking down to where his cock would connect to her entrance, she held her breath at the sight of the sheer length of it. This was most definitely going to hurt her. Bracing herself, she allowed her nails to dig into his arms and if he noticed, he made no indication. He didn’t ask if she was ready. She had already given him permission to take her and that was all he intended.

The head of his cock began to prod at her lips, spreading it open bit by bit until it breached her by only the smallest of margins. Bit by bit, she felt herself getting spread apart- speared by his length until he met with some resistance. “You’re untouched.” The way he said it, he spoke as if he had already known.

“What of it?” she managed to force out. “Surely it can’t be that important to you.”

“I’m flattered,” he said with a smile that was uncharacteristically soft. “That you would give something so precious to the likes of me..” he took a moment, then added: “ Willingly.

Embarrassment filled her. “I already granted it to you,” she panted as she still continued to feel herself being stretched out. “I want you. Take me. Please .”

Sebastian complied silently, pushing through the resistance gently until the fleshy wall marking her purity began to shatter. Something popped inside of her and she bit down on her lip so hard that she tasted the bitter taste of iron penetrate her taste buds. He took her mouth in his, running his tongue where her wound was and hushed her. “Good girl,” he purred, “you’re ready for me.”

Lifting her legs over his shoulders, he let her legs fall back so that they almost stretched over her head. It would have been more uncomfortable had he not been there keeping her body in one position. All the while they moved, he was still inserted inside of her and so as a result each of his movements elicited another whimper out of her. The wound inside still being fresh, she felt her insides pulsate. Sending waves of electricity to parts of her body that reminded her of her novice status when it came to this. His fingers made indentations on the fatty part of her butt, holding her still just so she can have the full view of the moment where she would give herself completely to him. There was no way . She tried to breathe, but instantly forgot once she peered at the length another time. There was just no way.

“Sebast-”

Thrust!

“-chahh!” Her body convulsed. Reacting violently to having the entirety of his length within her. Saliva pooled at the corners of her mouth and she felt it drip down; a warm river that coursed in a parabola on her cheek. A wail almost ripped through her lips and instead she deigned on biting the inside of her cheeks again.

“Very good,” he whispered. “Let me hear your symphony, my lady.” Yes. If this were to be an orchestrated viewing, she knew she was both instrument and singer while Sebastian was the musician. Her body was the strings on a violin and his, the bow that caused her wails to reach a crescendo before dying down to a small vibrato. Though they both put on quite a show, it was a private viewing of the most intimate nature.

This man had taken her virginity and there was no going back.

“Surrender yourself to me,” he kept reminding her as his hips thrusted, ravishing the skin on her thighs in downward strokes. Sloppy noises erupted from where their genitals had met, echoing in the room and much louder than the wood creaking incessantly underneath them. “Very good. Just like that.”

Her nails had dug into the skin on his back, leaving vines of red that grew on pale soil and gave birth to flowering blooms. The tip of his cock kept hitting her deepest parts, sending her body upwards in a jolt that excited parts of her that she didn’t know were excitable. He took her legs, pushing her onto her back more just as he moved his hips in an angle that had the shaft press against her clit with every thrust he did. Oh god

“It looks like.. You’re mine,” he seemed to remind her with a devilish grin. “Say it.”

All coherent thought had exited her mind at this point. Every rationale fled her like a person from a house fire. It was also criminal that something so delightful for fear of forsaking enlightened catharsis with a god she was not that well acquainted with. If this was a religion, she would gladly take her sermons in stride.

“I’m…” Her body grew hot. Embers that lay inside her began to flourish with flame; coursing through her veins and the only thing controlling the fire within were the shallow, whiny breaths that pushed through her bitten lips. “I’m yours. I’m yours!”

A noise exited Sebastian. Unadulterated, primal joy. It sounded more like an animal than a man. Before she could even think about it, she felt her body being lifted and set before her vanity. The seat had been pushed aside haphazardly, the items resting on the table top rattled close to the edge as she was forced to stand at an angle where she saw both her and the man that proved her debauchery. The surface of the mirror was fogged by her breaths, only allowing her a good view of Sebastian. Taking a moment to admire the man that reared her, she saw how his pale skin seemed to glow under the combination of sweat and moonlight. She watched as he raised his hand to run it through his hair and that’s when she saw it- a tattoo.

On the back of his left hand, she noticed there was something there that she foolishly hadn’t noticed before. A tattoo depicting an inverted pentagram surrounded by circles containing runic symbols was displayed proudly on the flesh.

“Sebastian, what is that?” An otherwise foolish question. Thought something about it had unnerved her completely. It did not seem normal. Tattoos were unheard of especially for those serving nobility. But this appeared more than just random ink splattered onto skin, it seemed to serve a purpose and to what end was a question she wasn’t sure she wanted the answer to.

The butler seemed uninterested in her quarry, studying her reaction as his hand gripped her waist. “A mark,” he replied with a smile as his fingernail traced mindless circles on the small of her back. “Is it to your liking?”

She didn’t know how to respond to that and Sebastian, sensing her hesitation, began twirling his finger on her back more. His design grew with purpose as he thrusted his hips forward ever so slightly, allowing his cock swipe at her lips. “You’ve done so well tonight.” His finger began going at certain points on her flesh. He would rotate it from five different spots before giving a swirl then stopping before continuing again. “Your cries are so delicate and sweet. Like crème-anglaise.”

At one point he stopped moving and, frustrated, she began moving of her volition. Gripping the edge of her vanity, she began moving back and forth in an attempt to gain the momentum back that carried her to a well-deserved orgasm. Beside her, the candles shook, teetering off the edge but not quite falling off.

He chuckled. “Eager, are we?”

“I can’t..control myself..” It was as if her muscles contracted on their own, forcing her body to move in succinct motions. She had tunnel vision. All of her focus now was to occupy her pleasure. With one hand, he gripped the crevice between her thigh and butt while the other hand was occupied with something she couldn’t see. Something that was continuously traced onto her skin. A physical mark as much as a metaphysical one. Something was coming, something amazing.

“I think-“ she gasped, “I think I’m-“

“I know.” He leaned over to whisper in her ear once more. “Keep going.” Once he leaned back, she saw his body stand erect, dominating her frame. His thrusts grew deeper, almost violent had it not been laced heavily with overpowering lust. There wasn’t even enough sense in her to realize that the candelabra near her had toppled, spilling onto the floor. A single candle popped out, rolling across the wooden floor and stopping when it met resistance by means of a heavy carpet. The fire started as a spark, tasting the material and deciding that it was a worthy enough vessel to be upgraded from the confines of a steel candelabra.

Through the haze of her addled mind, she saw dark shapes take form in the mirror in front of her. Where Sebastian stood, she saw the smoke rise from the carpet; traveling upwards in black ink that traveled in swirling streaks to cover the shoulders like a cape before reaching the crown of his head to form a dark halo. His visage began to change: his hair seemed to be longer, flowing down in glorious tendrils to down below his waist. The halo above his head seemed to sprout horns and his eyes began to illuminate with seething intent.

Now that fear that manifested earlier had taken root. This was unnatural.

“Sebastian.” Her lip trembled as she tried to find her bearings. “Please.”

His reply came out in a deep drawl, amused at her newfound trepidation. “Please what?” Pulling her up against him, his hand wrapped around her throat. “You’re already mine.” He spun her around, his palm flat against her back now. Looking over her shoulder at the mirror behind them, she saw something on her back glowing the same ghostly color as his eyes. It matched the symbol gracing the back of his hand.

Her heart fluttered and she turned towards him, a mix of confusion and panic on her face. Asking ‘what are you doing?’ seemed to be the sensible option here, but she could only manage out a mangled “Why?”

His lips kissed her ear, whispering sweet things to her in that dulcet tone that he so carefully crafted to unravel her, body and mind. “Does one really need a reason to give themselves into pleasure?”

At this point the fire spread more and more, giving birth to ominous clouds of smoke. It should be hot, and yet.. She didn’t feel a thing- save for the moistness of her arousal. A flash erupted from the mark on her back and she nearly buckled at the pressure that began building up between her legs. Purple light mixed with the fire, giving color as a new sense of another climax had begun to claw its way out of her. Somewhere outside, she heard screaming. Orders being barked for water to be gathered from the river to try and put out a fire. Though it seemed that the only heat she could feel was the one gathering in a tightly wound knot between her and him. The only ones that seemed to be here, present in this world they created together.

“You needn’t worry about anything else,” he whispered, his voice still louder than the roaring fire. “All your needs will be taken care of. As long as you promise me your entire being.”

She wanted to resist him more and more, though that resistance was quickly defeated as he picked her up by the waist. He helped her legs wrap around him and positioned her until she felt his dick prod her slit. Then, with one swift movement, he dropped her onto it as she finally let out an unrelenting scream filled with the pleasures she wanted to sing so badly before. Sebastian gripped her waist, his nails digging into her skin as he lifted her up once more before slamming her down. Again and again, she felt her climax begin to thunder and roar inside of her.

The young mistress became blissfully unaware of her surroundings. Not even to the banging on the door. Not even to the sound of her father calling out her name, yelling and inquiring as to what in god’s name was she doing. No- the only thing she could really hear and feel was Sebastian’s skin slapping against hers and the tip of his dick impaling her in repeated motions that brought an onset of euphoria.

Oh, what I wouldn’t give to feel this every day until I die

“As you wish,” he responded and she wanted to blush when she realized that her thoughts were said aloud instead. Sliding himself out, he gave her one last good stroke and her reward came running towards her. It felt like a breath of fresh air had entered her lungs, her muscles relaxed and her body felt like it was floating amongst the clouds above London. Sebastian let out a small sigh as he released something warm within her, spilling out drops of hot wet semen from the sparse openings from where they connected. He remained unphased as he only kept her aloft with one hand and the other lifting her face to see him. “Promise me.”

“I’m yours,” she nodded, barely a squeak as her head was still in the clouds. “I’m yours forever.”

Sebastian’s smile was soft as black feathers erupted from his back, shielding them from the glaring light of the fire that now devoured her dwelling.

Birds chirped outside the window, watching as tea was poured methodically into a cup, allowing a decent amount of milk to be poured if the drinker so wished. Porcelain cups stained with indigo ink and shaped into flowers were laid equidistant to each other, ensuring easy access. Sugar cubes shaped into tiny hills of varying flavors sat near plates of scones with the heat from the oven still emanating from them in swirling vapors. It was all then placed onto a cart and wheeled with such grace that the contents were not disturbed. Arriving in a room befitting the dishes and consumables, the contents were then moved onto a mahogany desk. Going in the order of where they would be eaten first before finally, a newspaper was laid out last.

And despite being at the farthest of the assembly line, the newspaper was retrieved first and opened.

“‘Fire consumes a shipping magnate’s home at night’?” The young man reading it set it down, one good eye peering over the headlines at the man serving him. “Interesting development. Don’t you think so? Sebastian?”

The butler didn’t look up until he served the rest of the tea and passed it onto the young master. “It is. And just like that, the manufacturing line is going to look for a new sponsor.”

“That could be arranged,” the young boy, looking no older than thirteen responded with a despondent sigh. The croissant had left crumbs near the corner of his lips which his butler looked at with disapproval. A soft cloth was handed for him to wipe it off and he was served another pastry to dine on. “I recall you condemning any more weight gain in preparation for my suit fitting.”

“I feel it is only fair for you to feel full too before a day’s worth of work, young master. Being head of the Phantomhive estate is not a matter to run on an empty stomach.”

“‘Too’?” A frown graced the young man’s face, allowing him to look his late father for a split second. “Are you implying that I won’t be the only one that’s eaten?”

“I’m sure the others have eaten too.”

“Then that leaves you.”

Sebastian seemingly ignored the question and smiled at him, and although the young master had known his butler to portray a faux smile at times- this one had seemed… Almost genuine.

Ciel glanced up, his initial trepidation turning to severe suspicion. “You seem to be in an agreeable mood this morning.”

“I’m simply happy to serve.” Sebastian bowed his head. “Excuse me, young master.” The butler turned to leave him to his duties, wheeling out the leftover plates to be cleaned.

“What of the girl?” Ciel asked as the door was opened to allow the cart through. “The nobleman’s daughter.”

Sebastian didn’t turn around, but replied. “She was also taken care of.”

Sebastian’s stroll into the Phantomhive garden was an almost leisurely one. Through carefully manicured bushes containing red roses, he saw spiky blond hair poke up amongst them as if they were thorns.

“Finnian.”

The thorns arose from the bushes, rising until a pair of curious eyes peered at him and shot up to reveal an excited smile. “Sebastian! I did what you asked. The cabin I use for tools is like a small cottage now. It has a bed, a table, some chairs, a shelf, I added pillows too, oh! And-“

“Finnian,” Sebastian raised a hand too, adding a cordial smile. “Thank you. I’ll see to adding the rest myself.”

“Oh, but I could help! It won’t be that much trouble for me, honest.”

“This is something I have to do myself.”

The resident gardener nodded his head knowingly, trying to contain his excitement. “Is it because of that woma-“

A hand clamped down on his shoulder and Finnian jumped as he watched a storm brew on the face of his boss. “Finny. The grass in the front requires attention.”

“Yes!” His reply came out as a squeak. “Right away!”

“And another thing,” Sebastian’s grip didn’t let up even as the gardener did his best to run off. “We won’t tell him just yet.”

Finnian almost appeared heartbroken at the notion of it all. “We’re lying to him?”

“We’re just holding the truth for a little while longer. That’s all.” It would be a direct violation of their treaty, after all, had he lied to his master about such a matter. Though there was no such clause in their agreement that didn’t allow him to simply dodge the truth for just a bit. It was enough small mischief to make him smile to himself. “Now, if you’ll excuse me.” The butler turned and the gardener watched the black-clad man disappear in the path nestled in the trees that led to the shed.

The forest met Sebastian’s silence with its own, allowing the butler to think of last night. A tinge pulled at his being and his hand rested where his stomach was. He enjoyed the slight fullness there.

Through the groove of grown oaks, Finnian’s old cabin for his tools rested there. It didn’t look too impressive from the outside, and the creaking of the aged door as it opened didn’t give much in terms of opulence as it did for the rest of the Phantomhive estate. Despite all that, the inside seemed to be much better. The dust and dirt had been swept out thoroughly and there were no longer cobwebs hanging from the ceiling rafters. Thick red curtains covered the walls where most of the material had rotted or on parts where it had obviously seen better days. Carpet was rolled onto the floor in multiple sections and in multiple colors and patterns, giving it the appearance of a secret den where lovers could meet without worrying about derelict conditions. A silver platter laden with fresh fruits had been placed near a pile of feather-down pillows stacked together to form a makeshift bed and the body laying amongst those cushions….

“Sleep well?” Sebastian spoke softly to the woman there, moving the hair out of her face.

The woman, once noble, and once a daughter, stirred softly.

“Sebastian..?” She stared up at him through half-lidded eyes. “I..”

He shushed her, laying her head back down as he laid next to her in tandem. “Rest now. You’ve been through a lot last night.”

“What happened..?” Her hair was loose, a black nightdress hugging her body tightly. There was a section on her back where she felt the wind caress it and her hand reached behind to feel. “It feels like-“ she gasped as her fingers traced her skin, “-it feels like I’m burning here.”

“It will do that,” he reassured her, lifting her face up with the crook of his finger. There she saw his eyes share that miasmic glow and the burning on her back quelled immediately. She relaxed, feeling her body be drawn to him as her lips parted in response to his touch. “Do you remember what you’re here for?”

When she focused she remembered the heat of a fire, the cries of her father as he tried opening her locked door, the delectable pleasure, and finally, the view of London’s skyline bathed in nighttime. She shot up, her heart rate increasing as she remembered the view of her house burning down from afar.

“Sebastian!” She clutched his arms. “My father, Mary-Ann..”

Sebastian grabbed her, his arm slinging across her waist with a finger placed vertically on her lips to assuage her. The glow in his eyes became brighter and she felt that burning on her back again, followed by a higher dose of euphoria that followed shortly after.

“I’ll ask again,” he said slowly. “Do you remember what you’re here for?”

The fire in her mind disappeared, the voices faded, the names were obliterated. “I’m.. here to be yours.. To please..”

“Good girl,” he smiled, rewarding her with a stroke of her hair. “Remind me for how long?”

“I’m yours forever.”

The butler was thoroughly satisfied with this answer and placed a deep kiss on her lips. Their eyes were closed as they shared their embrace and once he let go, the glow in his eyes had transferred to hers. Bursting and dissipating within a matter of seconds before falling into a deep sleep. Sebastian lay her down gingerly, once again brushing the hair out of her face before backing away and studying his prize. He would have to tell the young master soon, Finnian could only keep quiet about this for so long. He expected him to get irritated at most, but Sebastian would only remind him this was something to satiate him for a while longer; giving him the energy to further Ciel’s plans.

After all, surely Ciel couldn’t expect him to starve for much longer.
