Bone Broth 'Male Reader'

Summary:

I've always been like this. Stuck in the dark only ever seeing inches of the light. Until I'm snatched away from it time and time again.

After all I was born like this. Needing the blood and magic of other to stay alive. I do my very best to only take what I need.

That being said I don't know what came over me when I saw the bright blue skeleton. He... He just smelled so good to the point it made my brain fuzzy.

I swear I didn't mean to claim him.

Chapter Text

I crack a bone on the counter. Hearing it snap against the wood. I twist it in my grasp finding the long cracks. They were just big enough to get the tips of my fingers into. I get a good grip before pulling it apart feeling the marrow splatter against my skin.

Picking up a small knife from the drawer. I reach it inside the bone; scooping out the marrow. Before flicking it into a boiling pot of water. Along with a few vegetables that I could spare. This will keep me fat and happy for quite some time. Being that bone broth was one of the few things I could eat that could actually satisfy me.

Though sadly I have to wait. Since it takes about twenty four hours to be fully ready. I lightly tap the tips of my fangs. They were fully out of my gums. I guess I was far hungrier than I thought I was.

Placing the lid on top of the cooking broth. I turn to the sink beginning to clean off the utensils and cutting boards. Scrubbing off the bone fragments and potato skins.

"You need to hunt Y/N and soon. You have been putting it off. You may go feral again... And that ends up getting people killed." I whisper to myself as I finish cleaning up. Putting the last few dishes away.

I head towards the front door pausing to grab my cloak as I go. Placing the warm fabric over my shoulders and hood over my head. Before exiting the small cabin.

I quietly stand on the porch. Watching the last remaining rays of light disappear beyond the horizon. I let out anxious breath before stepping from the safety of my home. The one place I new no-one would get hurt. I dig the balls of my feet into the cold dirt preparing myself; crouching down into a runners stance.

I push off quickly. The dirt being kicked up as I did so. I was considered rather slow for a vampire, but extremely fast for a human. It was easy for me to catch something. Deer, wolves, even an occasional fox!

As I ran a smell crosses my path. Something sweet. Enticing. I stop in my tracks. My legs straining as I stop. Lifting my head I take in another deep breath. A swirl of colors entering my mind. Bright blues and soft greens swirling around pleasantly. Just by these colors. This, this was a monster's scent...

I began to follow the scent, almost on instinct. Feeling gitty at the thought of finding someone with such interestingly fun colors. After a few minutes I found him. A skeleton! He was short and wore a light blue scarf around his throat. Bright blue eye lights sat in his sockets. He was a rather interesting to look at. I liked his short squishy face. "Stretch is gonna kill me..." He muttered as he looks around in the dark.

"I came from this way..? Right? No. That's not right is it? Ah jeez." He puts his gloved hand on his forehead. Taking several deep breaths trying to calm himself down from what seems to be a panic attack. "Why do I have such a bad sense of direction?" He whispers.

The skeleton continues to mutter to himself as he looks out between the trees. Though He must have felt eyes on him. Since he looks over in my direction. "Hello? Is...is anyone there?" He asks. "I got myself a little lost. I just need some help getting home." Then there was a pause.

Taking a second I make a decision that changed my life. I stepped out from behind the tree. "Hello." I say awkwardly. Causing him to quickly stare at me. "You're lost yes?" I ask taking off my hood.

His sockets widen as he looks at me. Before a smile forms. Seeming far more relaxed after realizing I was a bit just some creepy old man. "Yes, I am. I was looking for flowers and must have wondered too far." He says as his shoulders relax. Flowers?

"There aren't to many flowers this far into the wood." I say taking a further step into the soft moon light. "They are usually closer to the river."

He hums placing a hand on his jaw. "Oh? I'll make sure to look there next time!" He says his smile growing into a sweeter one. "Anyway do you know the way towards Ebbott city?"

I nod. "I can show you the way..." I say getting a few steps closer. "But I need something in return." I mutter swallowing my saliva.

He looks up at me curiously. "What do you need? I'll try my very best to help you." He replies looking up at me. Seemly slightly nervous at my wording. He was smarter than he seemed wasn't he.

"I need your magic." I stated placing a hand on his cheek bone. A look of confusion crosses his features before his eye lights go fuzzy. As he breathed in my magic.

"Okay. Just...be gentle please." He mutters as a flush begins to grow on his cheek bones. A vampire's magic could be pushed into someone's very soul. Acting like an aphrodisiac, causing our prey to not struggle as much. Though I hated exploting it. This skeleton was making me very, very hungry.

I would keep my end of the deal. I wasn't cruel. I caress his cheek causing him to nuzzle my hand. Exposing his vertebra. They were slightly thicker than normal human bones and had a light glow in-between each one.

I shook my head. No not the neck, that could mean really hurting him. I can do with just his wrist. "Show me your wrist love?" I ask causing him to quickly obey. Even taking off his glove for me. "Thank you~" I purr before kissing his wrist. Playing into my magic to keep him happy. His bones were soft but warm. Something I wasn't expecting.

Taking a moment I prepare myself before sinking my teeth into his bone. Causing a sharp inhale from the skeleton. His magic was sweet, almost like caramel liquor. Something I could easily get addicted too. After about thirty seconds my head started to go fuzzy. That was enough to fill me until my broth is ready! I detach my fangs from his bones. I lick his wrist clean with a smile.

I look up at his expression. He looked extremely flustered and a bit woozy. He had a hand covering his mouth as he panted. "Are you alright?" I ask suddenly feeling a bit worried. I had never gotten a reaction like this before.

Much to my surprise he grabbed my face. Pushing it straight into his neck. His scent was so thick here, invading my brain that was already fuzzy in the first place. Had I accidentally pushed to much magic into the small skeleton? Is that why he was acting so funny-.

"God you smell so good... Mr. Please! I need you!" He panted as he placed his own head in my neck. Feeling his burning face touch my skin. With those words and the simple action. Something just snapped. I knew exactly what he was asking me to do, and I listened.

Without a second thought I sink my fangs carefully into the side of his vertebra. Drool rolled down my chin as I began to push more magic into his small frame. Making a perfect claiming bite. That Signified that he was not only just taken, but mated to me. Something that was almost impossible to take back. A feeling of pleasure rolled up my spine before I detached my sharp fangs from his neck leaving an already healing mating mark. That glowed with deep maroon magic.

I feel the skeleton slump against me. Pasted out cold in my arms. I look down at his flushed face. A deals a deals. I picked him up as I licked the flavor from my lips. I held him carefully against my torso as I began to follow his path.

He shifted in my arms as I made my way to his home. Making it slowly begin to dawn on me what I had done. I had just become mates with a monster I didn't even know the name of...

I felt nauseous and horribly guilty as I walked. I needed to get him home... He'll be far better off without me. I've really fucked up big time haven't I.

Many scents flood my brain as I approach a large mansion. Many different colors swirling around. Red, purple, orange, yellow, and even a soft pink. There were many monsters in the house in front of me, but I quickly picked out his scent. Following it I stopped at first floor window. This seemed to be his room. It definitely smelled like him.

I carefully open the unlocked window and slide inside. Placing down the exhausted skeleton into his bed. I caress his cheek before forcing myself away from him. "I'm sorry..." I whisper before disappearing to back where I belong. The wood.
