Can I kiss you?

Summary:

Xiao was caught off guard by Lumine’s request. Nonetheless, he was happy to oblige.

Notes:

This is my first time writing a more steamy, detailed kissing scene. I hope you like it :D

Chapter Text

“Xiao,” Lumine whispered, making the man in question look down at her with a hum, prodding her to continue.

He had noticed her staring minutes earlier, but didn’t make a comment on it, leaving her to her own devices. Besides, he didn’t mind, keeping in mind he would find himself staring at her sometimes, too. She was just so beautiful, it was inevitable.

She was beautiful, and she was his.

Before replying, she moved from her spot—she’d been sitting on his lap, leaning against his back—and instead straddled him, placing her hands on his shoulders. Xiao blinked and blushed ever so slightly, but he didn’t object or complain, and patiently waited for her to voice her concern, her request or whatever it was she wanted.

Lumine continued to silently stare and the Yaksha decided to move, gently placing his hands between her waist and hips; they were on top of the Inn’s roof, so he wanted to make sure she was secured in place. He had to admit it was a strange thought, but the silence was starting to become awkward. Finally, almost like his movements had woken her from a trance, she spoke.

“Can I kiss you?” she asked, whispering just like before.

Xiao was blushing once more, with his eyes widening. Sure, they had shared forehead kisses, the occasional kiss on the back of one’s hand or their palms, but they had never truly kissed. Not yet.

It wasn’t like he didn’t want to; Archons, it was tempting not to capture her mouth in a kiss every time she did so much as speak, but he didn’t know how to ask, and he didn’t want to do it out of the blue, either.

It didn’t surprise him that she was so straight to the point.

Glancing at her lips now, and then focusing back on her eyes—expectant, tense, longing—, Xiao nodded and the way she relaxed in his arms motivated him to give her a spoken reply.

“Yes.”

His heartbeats sped up when she cupped his cheek, and slowly leaned in. Too slowly, so slowly, it was straight up painful. It was hard to tell whether she was taking her time out of hesitance, or to tease him; Xiao didn’t know, and either way, he wasn’t enjoying it.

Which was why he took it upon himself to close the gap between them, muffling out her surprised gasp.

Her lips were deliciously soft.

Lumine had tensed up and for a moment, he had the urge to pull away. He shouldn’t have done that, he shouldn’t have, was what he thought for a second, maybe two, until he felt her melt in his embrace and eagerly return the kiss, the arms on his shoulders moving to wrap around his neck.

His grip around her tightened and he brought her closer as he basked in the feeling of pure bliss her kiss gave him. Xiao didn’t know when it had been the last time he had kissed someone, in his younger days, out of mere, foolish curiosity. Now, not only was their kiss laced with desire, but love as well.

Taking it a step further, he bit down on her lower lip and she made a sound he couldn’t quite name, but that didn’t take away from the effect it had on him, causing him to shiver under her. Lumine granted him entrance and he explored her mouth ravenously whilst she ran her slender fingers through his hair, attempting to pull him even closer despite it being not possible.

There was not a hint of shyness in her movements, in the way she kissed him; Lumine was yearning as much as he was, and she made it obvious. Xiao didn’t know how they had spent so much time together and not once had they even tried to kiss the other, it was addictive, calming, and he knew he would never get enough of her. Her smile, her eyes, her kisses-

She made him want to be selfish for once.

It was her who pulled away, but only an inch or two, to catch her breath. Xiao tried to do the same, but Lumine ended up capturing his lips a brief moment later. She was pushing him down, gently but firmly, which was why he had to use one of his arms to keep himself upright, placing it behind himself to lean on.

“I’ll take us to my room,” he suggested, breaking the kiss apart, despite not wanting to. Lumine took a moment before nodding hastily, and Xiao couldn’t help but nuzzle her lovingly, a gesture she returned.

“Yeah, okay,” she added breathlessly and resumed their kiss. A few seconds passed by before Xiao remembered he’d said he would take them to his room, since clearly his mind was elsewhere.

Their heated moment disoriented his teleportation, and instead of taking them to his bed as he had intended, Xiao found himself pinning her roughly against the wall, and Lumine whimpered into his lips.

“Are you alright?” he asked as he broke the kiss for a second, panting, just to make sure she was okay. Lumine only nodded as a reply again and pulled him back into the kiss, pressing herself against his body; Xiao didn’t complain and hungrily kissed her back.

Whenever he was with her, keeping track of time was hard in itself, but with the feeling of not only her presence, but her body as well, Xiao could swear each second felt like a blissful eternity, the thirst he didn’t know he had finally being satiated.

All this time, every century that added to his karmic debt, Xiao was unaware that he’d been endlessly roaming a desert of suffering and loneliness, unconsciously yearning for something . With Lumine, he found what he’d been yearning for and more; he found an oasis, a home, a spark of hope that brought pure light into his dark world.

Lumine hooked a leg around him, and Xiao easily took the hint and picked her up, placing his hands under her to keep her up, though apparently she didn’t need the help; she latched onto him with both her legs and didn’t leave any space between them.

There were only pesky clothes in the way.

With the proximity and the freedom of movement, Lumine rubbed her hips on his own, and Xiao groaned in satisfaction, pulling away not only to catch his breath but to focus on her neck as well, whilst she continued to run her hands through his hair.

They were sweaty, they were panting, and they were both completely drunk off their love for each other.

“I want you, Xiao,” Lumine declared, still breathless, still beautiful, and he shuddered at the way his name came out of her lips. Instead of replying, he began giving her neck doting, wet kisses.

“Are you sure?” he asked after a moment, his warm breath gracing her hot skin. He wanted her, too, he wanted her badly, but there couldn’t be any room for doubt. Xiao didn’t want her to regret her decision later.

“Yes,” she replied almost immediately and shivered when his teeth roamed a small area on her skin before gently biting down, just enough to leave a mark. “I want you, I’m sure. I want you now.”

He then lapped at the forming bruise and she had to hold back a moan.

“Archons, please…

The Outlander, the one who had saved not one, not two, but three of the seven nations of Teyvat, known and venerated by everyone who knew of her deeds, was in his arms, asking—no, begging him to take her, claim her.

His reply came in the form of another kiss to her neck, before he searched for her lips again.

Xiao loved her. There was no way he could deny her.

Effortlessly carrying her to his bed, and laying her down with utmost care despite them still kissing, Lumine loosened the grip of her legs on his hips slightly, but kept herself pressed to him.

Xiao leaned on his forearms on each side of her face as she roamed his hair, his shoulders, and his chest. Her hands found the hem of his shirt and clumsily tried to take it off; much to her surprise, Xiao chuckled and broke the kiss.

He began to undress; gloves, shoulder plate, necklace, shoes… So Lumine did the same, starting off with her scarf and then her boots followed. Before she could begin to untie her dress, Xiao had already taken off every accessory that wasn’t a part of his main clothes. Lumine grinned at him.

“Care to do the honors?” she asked him and her heart skipped a beat at the look he gave her. His eyes had darkened, and she could swear his pupils had dilated a little. Xiao approached her and embraced her in order to reach her back, and untied her dress with ease.

“With pleasure,” he whispered in her ear, briefly nipping at her earlobe before making his way down to her collarbone with kisses just as he slid her dress off, leaving her with the black top she had underneath and her bloomers.
