Brian looked down into the tidal pool but there was no reflection to be seen as there hadn't been since it had happened. Brian clutched at his arm. He was now free from that terrible pain but he'd never forget it. Forget how much it had hurt, how he thought he was going to die, how it felt to lie there in that hospital bed knowing nothing could be done for him and thinking it would soon be the end.
And now he... survived, but he wasn't sure he would say he was 'alive.' Now he was a monster, a demon, an abomination against God. Even as he couldn't see his face in the still water, he still felt his new mouth as though he could, the new fangs that were there. Their purpose was to kill. He had been made into a murderer. He could kill of his own volition and hope to go after the wicked and the criminals, or wait until the bloodlust would overtake him and end up killing indiscriminately. Both options were terrible to him. No man was so wicked that he deserved death, and especially not to sustain one as him. Even if he had done nothing to ask for the bite, he was still now a vampire, a demon in human guise.
Brian got up from the tidal pool, slipping his hands under his waistband and untucking his shirt before pulling it off completely. The only solution that Brian saw to his problem, as he could not be killed, was to leave humanity behind. To walk into the water and let the waves drag him under. He no longer needed to breathe and maybe could find himself so far from any and all humans that his bloodlust would result in his death rather than a human's. Or maybe find it possible to feed on breathing fish.
Throwing his shirt to the ground, Brian marched on, navigating the thin ledges of the tidal pools by the bright light of the full moon. His hands were working at the laces of his trousers as he came to the shoreline.
He stilled like that- a hand at his crotch and shirtless. There was a person there. Not a human, but someone like him. They were almost as pale as him, a vampire, or maybe that was the silver moonbeams that seemed to make him glow. He was ethereal with long dark hair and pitch black nails, he was slender and lean with a fine dashing of dark hair.
Brian didn't make a sound, he didn't move a muscle, but the being looked over enough to see his shadow and find him. They looked up at him with impossibly dark, bottomless eyes. They appeared in every way a man but for the impossible large glossy wings that sprouted from his back. The rest of the man's body and his face with its sharp, high cheekbones were the most beautiful Brian had ever seen. He averted his eyes as he looked away. He crossed an arm over his chest, desperately wishing he was more clothed.
"Hello," the voice said comfortably. The beauty wasn't bothered by his nudity and why should he? Brian had been ill for so long and now he was this terrible demon, he hadn't had human contact in so long, and especially not any... particular human contact.
"Um, hello," Brian replied as he skipped his eyes past their naked form to focus on that face. It was an unspeakably lovely face. But almost more than that, Brian wanted them to be an angel of the Lord that would tell him his prayers had been answered and he would be freed from this terrible curse. Brian walked down the shoreline to be close to him as to better speak and be heard, as well as to focus in on that lovely face.
"I am of Mercury," Mercury introduced himself with a hand over his chest, and dramatic a little half-bow accompanied by a hair swish.
"Well met Mercury. I, uh, well I'm not sure what I am of." That wasn't how humans greeted each other and Brian wanted to offer no lies, nor insults. Was Mercury asking him who his sire was? Brian wanted nothing to do with the monster that had done such a horrid thing to him.
"Ah. If you've known your parents, you might know of when and what you are at the time of your birth. The celestial beings above that watch over us and guide us." Without hesitation, Mercury lifted a finger and pointed at the special rising star that was Mercury. It was only still just visible, leaving as the night would continue, only to return on the other side just before the sun would rise. But Brian had spent years studying in marvelling at the night sky and so could easily recognize it for its bright golden hue.
Brian had never been anyone of important enough note for astrology to be done of his birth, he didn't know what celestial bodies had been there for him. All he knew was, "I am of May."
Mercury didn't seem unhappy with this answer, smiling easily, and oh- how the joy transformed his face into even a further level of beauty. Brian was simply enraptured, staring like a loon.
Mercury hopped off from the rock he was lounging on and then instantly- and then with the aid of his wings he was before Brian, their faces barely inches apart. "Now what's this my dear? I haven't even done anything yet," Mercury's hands were trailing down his bare torso, but Brian was almost more caught up in the luminous eyes staring deep into him. He was looking so deep into them, Brian felt like he was seeing Mercury's soul. A being that could be temperamental and selfish, but that translated to passion and ambition, and a great love of the arts. Dancing, singing, playing, and- Brian jerked back.
He- He hadn't been imagining that, he had really been seeing something. Surely not Mercury's soul? Mercury stood there, his hands hanging in the air where they had rested on Brian. Had they- had the hands lowered to the point they were on par with the sexual images Brian just saw? "What? What was that?" Brian asked breathless, his heart pounding and his blood racing. And well mostly racing to one place in particular. He was half-naked and this beauty was fully naked, and it had been so long since Brian had been touched let alone by... someone he wanted so that wanted him back.
Mercury held up his hands, "I didn't use my thrall on you although that would hardly be a fair criticism as you used yours."
Brian reached up to touch his eyes, "I used... my thrall?" Brian was vaguely aware that vampires had such a thing but not that he did, or how to use it. "I'm so sorry."
Mercury laughed easily and shrugged his shoulders, "That's alright darling. I just hoped you liked what you saw." Mercury came back to Brian, coming in close again although slower as to make sure Brian didn't startle. When Brian didn't move away, Mercury dragged a hand down his chest. The touch was sensual and made him shiver where the ocean winds didn't. "So you're new to being a vampire then?"
"I am," Brian confirmed, but his attention was mostly on that delicious hand going lower and lower.
"I see. I don't want to alarm you, so let me know darling if anything is too much. It's just-" Mercury took in a deep breath, "I can sense how interested you are in me, as interested as I am."
Brian gulped nervously but eagerly. He reached out, his hand almost trembling, to touch Mercury back. Mercury smiled softly at him as Brian felt out his chest, its hairy nature gave it a different and undeniably more masculine nature than his previous partners. Brian could be hesitant, anxious, cautious and nervous but none could say he was not brave. He had been willing to fight the very nature of his species to be here tonight and embark on such a journey. And he now called upon his bravery again to get him what he wanted, "Then I would hope to get to know you better," Brian licked his lips as he dared to slide his hand lower down, "sweetheart."
Mercury's smile was nothing but wicked as he pressed forward to kiss him. Brian's hand slid to Mercury's back, to hold him there, as another slid into the man's long hair and cradle his head as they kissed. All the passion Brian's thrall had shown him in those eyes was being poured into him now and it was unparalleled. Brian didn't think he'd ever met a man that lived as passionately, as explosively, and joyously as Mercury did, and he doubted he ever would.
Mercury's hands were also holding Brian as they embraced and kissed so passionately. They were chest to chest now and oh- Brian could feel something against him, almost right over his. He hadn't noticed how hard he was until he felt how his cock rubbed up against Mercury's. Brian removed a hand off of Mercury, who groaned in protested. Brian half-laughed as he broke their kiss only long enough to fully open his trousers and push them down his hips.
When Mercury saw what he was doing he took hold of the fabric and literally pushed Brian to the sand. Once Brian was supine on his back, Mercury easily slid them fully off with those legs up in the air. Brian just- let it happen. He loved it, looking up at Mercury with nothing but awe. It wasn't the silhouettes of the wings against the starlight that made him seem ethereal, it was how the moon drew his cheekbones in even sharper contrast and made his dark eyes seem so depthless.
Brian half prompted himself up on an elbow and just looked up at Mercury, asking him just with his expression to come down and kiss him again. Something Mercury was more than happy to do again, pressing their bodies together even better than when they had been standing and slotting their legs as to best grind their lengths against each other.
They were kissing and grinding, and then Brian was pulling Mercury back by the hair and watching that neck flex in the pale light before he was sinking his teeth into it. Mercury's flesh was cold against his teeth but his blood was so warm and delicious. Sweeter than honey, more savoury than salt, better than ambrosia.
Brian realized what he'd done and let go with a terrible pant. Oh God, what had he done? "Oh, hush love was that your first time drinking?" Mercury asked unbothered. "Here, lick it to seal it over," and Mercury was dragging Brian's hair back to his neck. Brian didn't know what to do but as instructed and licked it. At first pragmatic licks and then long, sucking ones to pull at the skin, not like vampires but like lovers do. Mercury shivered in his arms and grinding down against him.
Brian pulled back a little now that the bleeding had stopped even as his hands remained on Mercury to ask silently if is he was alright, Brian truly hadn't meant to feed, he just hadn't known that would happen once his blood was up. "I'm not human," his wings fluttered loudly in emphasis, "I can be fed on without changing, and you can take more blood if needed."
"I- Thank you," what else was there to say? They were kissing again, somehow even more aggressively, and then they were rolling around in the sand, Mercury was being so aggressive and Brian fucking loved it. It was getting him so hot and close as Mercury snarled and nipped at him, raking his nails down Brian's back and thrashing about against him. Brian managed to rolled them so Mercury was pinned under him, with a forearm at his clavicle and some space between their chests, and Brian firmly sat between his legs. Mercury pouted pitifully as his wings cocooned around them comfortingly. In that feathery pod, the light of the full moon was weak and feeble, casting Mercury in enchanting shadows.
There was enough space for Brian to slide his hands around the both of their cocks and stroke them like that. There was more than enough precum to ease the way, they both seemed like they were close. Mercury truly thrashed around at this far more intense stimuli and Brian was right there with him, grunting and groaning out his lust.
He looked down into Mercury's eyes who lost their hazed, unfocused look long enough to taunt Brian, "You want to come with my thrall?"
Brian didn't know or care what other creature, one with wings, had a thrall, he just knew that this pleasure was already so good, and that sounded amazing. "Yes," was his absolute answer.
However, unlike a vampire's gaze, Mercury tilted his head back and let out a lyrical 'Oooo-oooh!"
Brian's orgasm felt like it was ripped out of his soul as his every muscle contracted and he came hard enough to shoot come across Mercury's stomach and all the way to his shoulder. His vision blacked out and he felt himself be caught and laid down with a gentle hold.
When he came to gasping, blinking, and his mind still racing with pleasure, it was to watch perhaps the only thing more glorious than Mercury himself, Mercury coming. His face was wrapped in pleasure as his body glistened with sweat, his wings arched and tense behind him. His hand worked furiously over his sizable cock squirting over Brian's form. Brian half sat himself up to better watch it.
Mercury let out a sigh and Brian embraced the man to hold him as he came down and settled heavily upon his knees. They'd have to rest after that exhausting pleasure but Brian hoped they'd do it again. Mercury flutter soft butterfly kisses over Brian's neck and face, which Brian softly returned. "That was lovely, you're so lovely."
Brian huffed out a laugh as he laid them both down, "I could say just the same. I've never met anyone quite like you. But I must say, I have wondered- It occurred to me that despite your wings, you aren't an angel."
Mercury laughed heartily at this before smirking wickedly, "Whatever gave it away darling?"
Brian laughed himself. "You mean besides everything? But as I know what you are not, I did wonder what you might be."
Mercury got a slight furrow between his brow as he curled his body slightly away from Brian as though whatever he would say would drive Brian away, Brian who was the undead demon. "You know- I - That is to say, that a thrall has a distinctive feel, so you would have known and for a supernatural like you, you could fight it off if it was unwanted. I didn't use my thrall on you- well until I asked if I could. I didn't- You just- You were just attracted to me."
"And you could sense it," Brian remembered. So Mercury's type must also be able to create it but Brian knew himself and his own mind well enough to be comfortable knowing his feelings for Mercury were his own, even if he couldn't also see the good nature of Mercury from his every pore. "I'd like to apologize for using my thrall on you again," Brian said softly as though Mercury had forgotten what had really happened that night.
Mercury traced a soft hand down Brian's face like not only was he forgiven but nothing needed to be forgiven in the first place. Maybe because if one knew and was able to fight it off, it was less an invasion of privacy and more door encouraging left open. "I'm a siren."
"Okay," Brian replied in just as soft of a tone. Their music might enthrall, but that didn't mean they weren't also beings that could love and care for another. And even if no other siren could, Brian felt confident that this one could. "Lovely to meet you," and Brian leaned in to kiss him and show him that in every way he was loved.
