Avengers Save the World Again!
You scoff as you read the title of the newspaper and sip your coffee.
The Avengers do little to save the world.
You sat your mug down glancing around the coffee shop you were in. The shop was filled with happy faces, light conversation floated in the air and the smell of fresh coffee grounds gave the place a homey feeling. Fighting not to let your gaurd down. The little Omega cafe was a frequent of yours.
If only these people knew what was really out there.
You were broken from your thoughts by a voice to your right.
"Would you like a refill?"
You looked at the barista momentarily before shaking your hand and mumbling a no thank you. Looking down at the paper again you just shook your head crumbling it up. Leaving ten on the table and tossing the paper as you exited you breathed in the fresh air. Before you could even let the breath out a loud explosion sounded from the left of you. Looking just in time to see a tall building fall you quickly make out two figures fighting in the sky above said building. People started shoving you as they quickly exited the coffee shop running in the opposite direction. Getting your footing you stand up straight just in time to break through a large boulder that was hurling towards the civilians. Some people stopped and looked at you shocked before continuing to run. Having broken the boulder you had caught the attention of whatever had thrown it. The dust had just cleared from your vision when you dodged a punch from a guy in an all black suit with what seemed to be cat ears. He was an alpha that much you knew for sure his pheramones burning your nose. His eyes glowed red and he seem to be giving off more aggression than the average foe. As he went to attack you you quickly dodged again.
"Who are you if you don't mind me asking?"
The alpha just growled and continued his assault which you easily dodged. As you addressed the alpha infront of you, you quickly smelled two more alphas enter the area. Glacing around you notice two people on the roof of the coffee shop all you saw was red hair and the other with a bow drawn and act on instinct. Quickly dodging another of the alphas attacks infront of you, you knock the feet out from under him, punch him twice, and kick him in the face leading him to go flying back through another building. Back flipping out of the way of an arrow shot your way you use your wind powers to quickly fly up on the roof opposite of the other two alphas. Now getting a clear look at the two you raise your eyebrow quickly recognizing the two avengers Hawkeye and Black Widow.
"Oh so now the Avengers attack civilians?"
Hawkeye draws another bow as Blackwidow gets her gun ready.
"You are clearly no civilian."
The man said but didn't shoot.
"So what do you say, we doing this the easy way or the hard way?"
You slightly chuckle at the man in front of you which was to neither of their likings.
"You tell me I would hate to have to hurt two Avengers."
The red head smirks but Hawkeye keeps his face neutral.
"And what makes you so confident you'll be the one doing the hurting?"
Your smile drops.
"Because last time I didn't get the opportuinty."
Before the two could even question your meaning you rise in the air eyes glowing white. Bullets and arrows fly your way to little avail. Flying across the street you allow yourself to land on the roof next to the two avengers. Blackwidow making her move first she quickly moved in. Dodging two punches you make easy work of the woman infront of you landing two punches in her stomach before round house kicking her off the roof. If Hawkeye was surprised he didn't let it show letting go of arrow after arrow. Dodging your eyes catch on him grabbing a different kind of arrow as he lets it go you stop and catch it seeing the little bomb on the end you spin and throw it back faster than he had even shot it. The arrow exploded right in front of him sending flying back across the roof. Hearing more than seeing you stick your hand out to your left catching the sheild that was thrown your way. Recognizing the red, white, and blue. You didn't even have to look up to know who was heading your way. Sighing the noise of rocket booosters also caught your ear. Spinning and throwing the sheild toward the noise you throw the shield straight at Iron Man knocking him back with it. Turning to face Captain America you watch him closely while he stands on the ground looking at you.
"Who are you?"
You glare at him in return.
"You don't remember me?"
He doesn't get to respond before a storm cloud apprears over head. Seeing thors hammer just in time time you fly upwards. Now level with Thor he calls his hammer back before making eye contact with you.
"Ahhh God of Thunder, how are you?"
"What are you doing (Y/N)?"
"Nothing much, how about yourself?"
You say towards him with a bright smile. He scowls at your response.
"This is not how you settle with them (Y/N), stand down."
Your smile faded, raising an eyebrow at the Asgardian.
"Then what do you suggest Thor stand idly by as my families bodies rot in their coffins?"
Before he could respond an arrow was shot your way planting itself in your shoulder. A scream left your mouth as pain and anger shot through you. Lightning starting to spark from your hands and wind speeds increasing as you looked down towards Hawkeye.
"Stand down!"
Thor yelled from your side and you watched the Avengers slowly yet reluctantly lower their weapons. You turned back to your long time friend with betrayal in your eyes.
"You work with them?"
The man did not meet your eyes as he nodded. You fought back your own tears as the rain started to fall, biting inside your lip you quickly flew up into the clouds before flying away.
Avengers POV
"Thor you better have a good expination!"
Tony shot through the comms before retreating towards the Avenger base. The god sighed but followed suit. Steve retreieved a still passed out Black Panther and Clint helped Natasha who had some broken bones after being thrown off the roof. Back at the Avenger base, once everyone was treated for their injuries they were immediatly pulled into a meeting.
"Welcome Avengers, what a shit show."
Fury said as he looked at the group of individuals.
"Y'all look terrible. I mean this one girl made yall look like a bunch of pussies out there."
Before he could continue Thor cut in.
"She is not simply one girl, she is (Y/N) Mortal Goddess of the Elements. Her power far surpases many of the people who sit at this table, I have seen her destroy worlds to protect what she loves before. About a year ago on an Avenger mission gone wrong her mate and two pups were killed. She has blamed this corporation ever since and will now probably target us even more now that she knows I am an Avenger."
The room fell silent for a few minutes before Fury spoke.
"And why would she target us more?"
"Because as her only friend in this world I have betrayed her trust."
