I- The Marriage Contract

(Harry's P.O.V.)

No... It can't be real. Marriage. There is an existing marriage contract between me and an unknown woman. No. That can't be true.

These were the thoughts that ran through my mind as Professor Dumbledore tells me about it. Because of some old alliance between the Potters and some distinguished Arendellian house which is to be remained classified until I met the Head of said house. He told me that the Arendellian house will offer assistance in times when the Potter house is at war. As though expecting my question regarding the previous wizarding war, he went on to explain that the Arendellians were dealing with a war of their own at that time, and therefore could not lend any assistance. He dismisses me with a note saying the head of the house will meet me on Saturday and I will be introduced to the bride.

As I enter our common room I quickly search for the bushy mane that always calms me. Knowing that she will be finishing her homework here since it's almost curfew. Seeing her by the couch in front of the fireplace with the Weasleys and Neville. I occupied the empty spot beside her and hugged her burying my head in her wild curls, probably gaining strange looks from our friends. But at the moment, frankly, I don't care. The action though startled Hermione from her reading, and she started playing with my hair to calm me, sensing my distress.

"Hey mate what's wrong? What did Dumbledore say that got you all in a twist." Ron asked with concern. I mumbled in Hermione's hair. She sighed and settled the book beside her, but she didn't stop her ministrations with my hair.

"Could you repeat that we didn't hear it clearly."

I faced the rest of our friends but not removing my hold on Hermione.

"There's... There's a marriage contract between me and some unknown woman according to Dumbledore." I said to them. Shock was reflected on their faces and I felt Hermione tense in my hold and her fingers in my hair stopped.

"Who?.. Who was it?" she asked with a hint of hurt in her voice.

"I don't know some prominent Arendellian" I answered with distaste.

"Ohhh. What did Sirius think about it? He is your magical guardian after all." Neville asked.

"I don't know haven't asked him yet. I don't even know if he has a say in this since the contract was made years ago before the time of my parents." There was an awkward silence, Hermione resumed her ministration to my hair and the game of chess between Ron and Neville that I apparently have interrupted resumed.

"Well that just sucks, you can never choose to marry the woman you love." Ginny suddenly stated.

Then the reason why I'm so distressed comes rushing back and I absently retort, "Yeah, It sucks since the only woman I'm planning to marry is the one I'm holding."
