Vanishing

Summary:

Told from Erik's perspective. Charles is killed on the beach. Erik doesn't desire to cope with the loss. He refuses to let go of Charles' body. Holding his beloved close to his chest, Erik falls down the cliff.

I thought I couldn't hurt you even more.
After tearing your heart, I took your body.
I should've been the one lying there and moan.
I dreamed to sacrifice my life for you.

It could wash away the stain of hatred.
But now in vain. My ribcage opened.
Red lips don't move. The blueness is empty.
Under my hand, you're no more in torment.

I can't stop the fight. Can a syringe help?
But their eyes tell — you can't be cured.
I hold you tight. You won't go to them.
The sand cuts my skin to blood.

I don't want to accept the grief.
I'm sure you love me, too.
The stiffness of the cliff. Not loosening my grip.
Swiftly, I'm going down with you.
