Work Text:

Tommy watched as Wilbur’s icon went from do not disturb to off online if he wanted to strike, he had to know. He pulled up the Wilbur Soot discord scrolling through the members list. Looking for the girl in cats ears he hated so much. Gamerkittenkat. Tommy reread the username a few times. What a dumb name he thought before pressing the call button.

She picked up on the second ring. “To what do I owe the pleasure to get called by Mr. TommyInnit?” She snarked.

“I am tried of this you, fucking bitch you've stolen my Wilby I just want him back. I’m done with it. Give my Wilby back.”
"Like what they fuck are you talking about me and William are dating."

Tommy speaks without thinking. “Not for long Bitch.”

“We’ll see, and I’m not a bitch.”

“Fucking hell you are.” Before Tommy could hang up, he was disconnected from the called. Tommy huffed instead of throwing his phone like he wanted to slipping it into his pocket. He wanted to be the one to hang up on her. Stealing some of Wilbur’s crisps won’t hurt anyone. Wilbur owed him for how much he was being a dick anyway.

Getting up from his bed he strolled down the hall, as He past the bathroom Tommy heard gaging from the inside the room. Tommy leaning into the room seeing Wilbur on his knees in front of the toilet white knuckling the seat. Between the smell and the picture laid out before him had Tommy recoiling.

Wilbur swung his head around Tommy flinched as he watched the other. Was it possible to give yourself whiplash? Vomit ran down Wilbur’s chin, dark circles had made themselves home under the brunette’s eyes. Wilbur looked much more pale then normal even with the blush spreading across his face from the embarrassment of being caught.

“W-wilbur are you okay?” Tommy suddenly felt guilt for thinking the other of a dick, as normal he wasn’t thinking about what could be happing with the other.

Wilbur pulled his sleeve of his sweeter down over his jacket wiping at his mouth before sitting back on his heels looking up at Tommy. “Does it look like I am okay?” He hissed. The sharp tone cut through Tommy’s heart making him feel like shit just for asking that question. His face must have shown this because the next thing he knew Will was asking. “No I’m not, just feeling sick. I’m sure I’ll be better soon.” He said his voice much more gentle this time.

Tommy nodded keeping his eyes on his feet not wanting to looking back up into those dead eyes that are normally dancing with life. “Do you want some water?”

“Water would be wonderful Tommy.”

Tommy nodded again moving out of the room. Was Wilbur sick? Would he get better soon? Was he blaming Wilbur’s girlfriend for him not seeing the sickness sooner? Tommy was jolted out of his thoughts as the cut of water he was filling up overflowed the cold water hitting his hand before landing in the skin. Tommy dumped out some of the water then headed back to the bathroom.

He left the water on the floor beside Wilbur getting small ‘thank you’ but his thoughts were moving to fast for him to hear the other. He shut the door to his room pulling out his phone his eyes focused down at the black screen.

Why can’t he make people stay? After awhile people get tired of him, but why could Tommy blame them? He thought about himself and what was best for him all the time. He should be thinking about other and how to make them happy and feel better. Tommy thought back to Wilbur sitting on the flour of the bathroom looking drained.

Maybe if he had helped the older edit more he would be so tried. Maybe if he helped Wilbur remember to get up and move around every few hours the musician wouldn’t tell him about he was aching. Maybe if he talked to Wilbur more the older would be so scared to talk to new people. Maybe just maybe if he kept Wilbur off his phone more he wouldn’t keep falling for these girl that treated him terribly. Maybe this was all his fault.

Tommy’s phone slid from his hand onto the floor with a thud cracks splintering a crossing the glass. Tommy looked down at his broken reflection in the screen tears tracking don his cheeks.
Maybe he was the reason Wilbur was like this.
