Work Text:
When their eyes met, it was as if time rewound itself. But that was impossible because Kirari’s hair was shorter, stopping at the shoulders, and Sayaka carried herself with a newfound confidence. The memories came flooding back, clear as crystal, and they simply couldn’t stay apart.
That evening, joy and anguish merged within cool sheets, creating a bittersweet mixture of emotions.
Kirari watched in awe as Sayaka writhed under her. She delighted in the way her name sounded as it fell from sweet lips.
Sayaka took her time worshiping Kirari in return. Her hands and tongue worked in perfect harmony to retrace every inch of pale skin that had been painfully erased from her mind.
Words of love that never should have gone unspoken were whispered against heated skin, repeated over and over, begging the other not to leave, not to forget. Promises were made in the dark, doomed to be broken by morning.
The physical and emotional intimacy broke through their defenses effortlessly, leaving them weak and wanting until their hunger was properly satiated.
When the sky outside the window turned pink, Kirari pulled her closer. They held each other in desperation, knowing that with the dawn would come their end.
Time had been merciless to them. It still was.
Somehow, leaving now was much more painful than before.
“You need to go.” Sayaka’s words hung in the air around them.
The words, “I don’t want to go,” slipped past Kirari’s lips without her permission.
She was no liar, but a stranger to speaking the unbidden truth.
Sayaka looked at her. “Then don’t go.”
If only it was that simple.
Perhaps it was fate that brought them together, or mere coincidence, but neither dared to believe it was a mistake. So they stayed like this for a little while longer, in this little piece of heaven they found in each other, savoring every moment that time granted, until the sun was high and they had to say goodbye.
