Chapter Text

Keigo remembered the white haired boy. He remembered those icy blue eyes. He remembered how soft his hair looked the first time they met. On that day Keigo was scared. He was scared because they had caught him stealing. He was scared because they called his father a thief. Though all that fear went away when the little boy with white hair and blue eyes came to talk to him. He was timid and spoke in a very quiet voice. It was as if he was sharing secrets with Keigo. He told him everything was going to be okay, and for the first time in his short life Keigo actually believed it. Keigo remembered saying goodbye to the boy. He remembered turning around to ask him his name, and he remembered how the white haired boy was already gone when he turned around.

Now he watched as they cut the long bangs in front of this boy's eyes. The commission director said it would 'obstruct his vision' whatever that meant. Keigo had liked the long bangs. He found it silly how the boy would blow them to the side, it always made Keigo chuckle.

The boy didn't seem happy either as they walked down the halls with the director. He seemed sad and scared, his arms crossed and his head down as they continued toward their room. They were both led to the shared room. Each of them picked a side and were told they were not to leave until someone came for them.

Now being left in their room Keigo's head buzzed with questions, but only one came out of his mouth.

"What's your name?"

Keigo's voice came out shaky and awkward. The boy sat up from his place on his bed, his gaze piercing through Keigo. His sparkling blue eyes then softened with recognition.

"Touya." He answered, in the same quite wispy tone Keigo remembered.

They stared at each other for a while, not saying a word. Touya laid down again, curling in on himself. Keigo hopped off his bed crossing the distance between them and sitting on Touya's bed.

"I remember you." He said looking away from Touya.

His heart beat picked up when no response came. Did he not remember Keigo.

"I know you're scared but everything will be okay..."

Nothing not even a single peep.

"Because I'll be your friend... if that's okay?"

A few seconds passed.

"Okay"

Touya sat up, a few tears running down his face. He looked at Keigo, his face still showing how scared he was. Keigo wrapped his arms around Touya's shaking shoulders.

"It's okay... I'll be your friend." He reaffirmed.

Touya continued to cry but didn't pull away from Keigo. For some reason it felt nice knowing he already had a friend.

"I remember you too Keigo."
