Work Text:
Seokjin took out his glasses to wipe them with his shirt. It seemed like he always had blurry glasses. Odd, considering how clean and tidy he was.
At least when he wasn’t around Jeon Jungkook.
At some point, he got used to it. Everything was blurry to him when he was with his friend.
When they ate noodles together, kindly nuzzling their legs as some annoying comedy movie played on the tv, for example. They would laugh out loud, hands almost hurting from holding the hot bowl tightly trying not to drop it on their clothes. His glasses always ended up foggy from the hot smoke of the salty food.
When he patiently waited for Jungkook to take a shower, sitting in the cold floor of the bathroom, back pressed to the bathroom stall. They always tried to keep conversations while showering, since it was the perfect moment to discuss weird things about the world with each other (despite him having to slightly scream so his friend could listen). The steam would make his glasses so foggy, he couldn’t even see what was right in front of him. Jungkook didn’t mind it, though. It gave him privacy.
When it was snowing and they would go outside to play together, violently throwing snowballs at each other. Seokjin really enjoyed playing with Jungkook, but he hated feeling cold. Because of that, they wouldn’t take too long to go back inside, wrap themselves in warm blankets next to his fireplace and drink some hot chocolate while they talked about their childhood winter memories. Jungkook always brought up a story about how he used to spend hours breathing next to his window when he was a kid, believing that the small fog that came out of his mouth was some kind of super power. He’d move close to Seokjin’s face and playfully exhale into him, smiling. Seokjin would slap his arms, cursing at him for ruining his vision on purpose. What a pity that he couldn’t see how bright his friend’s smile got as they giggled softly.
When they went out to do something and forgot their umbrellas, both being forced to run as fast as they could in a failed attempt of avoiding the heavy rain that fell from the sky. Seokjin could barely run without tripping, since the wet lenses of his glasses were blinding him. It made Jungkook worried. They always ended up holding hands in the rain.
When he cried because something was stressing him out and his friend was the only one who understood him well and hugged his stress away.
When he cried because he was in love with his best friend but was too scared to tell him that, even if it seemed like maybe he liked him back.
When his friend confessed to him and he couldn’t help but to cry so much that his tears were blinding him. Blurry eyes, moist kisses. He remembered how it all felt like.
When they had their intimate moments and Jungkook kept breathing harshly onto his face. Even then, he wouldn’t take his glasses off. Jungkook liked them.
- Wiping your glasses with your shirt again? That’s nasty.
- Buy me a cleaning cloth then, it’s your fault!
- Is it? - Jungkook asked, smiling. - I'm sorry. Maybe you should buy some contact lenses.
- I’m joking, it’s fine. - Seokjin answered, putting his glasses back on his face. - I like them.
- Because they make you look pretty?
- Because they make me see you.
