Chapter Text
Ian’s hand shot out and grabbed Andrew’s wrist. “You’re coming back to the apartment with me.” He said, his voice dangerously low.
“Fuck you.” Andrew spat, trying to pull away.
Neither of them had ever heard the sound of a gun cocking before, but the sound was unmistakable.
Andrew stopped struggling and looked up to see a masked man standing over them, the gun in his hands quickly oscillating between the two men on the bench. “The tablet.” He said, his voice gruff. “And any money you have.”
Andrew stared up at him as he distantly felt Ian’s hand leave his wrist. He stayed frozen, staring at the gun with wide eyes. He hardly saw the man holding it. His vision was pinpoint, just on the weapon.
“The tablet.” The man growled again.
Andrew felt something inside rip, like a rubber band stretched too far, and he gripped the tablet with both hands. His heart was thumping in his chest as he felt a resolute peace come over him as his mind worked through the possible outcomes.
Either he’d be shot, and his pain would be over with. Or… Or he could…
