Work Text:
"Aigoo...," Jung Hee exclaimed softly while putting a bottle of soju in front of Park Ki Hoon.
He lifted his head from scrutinizing his scribbles on his notepad. "Hm?"
Jung Hee pointed her chin towards the lovebirds who sat at the corner table, whispering things and shyly smiling to each other.
Since the fact that they're dating was out in the open, the couple was no longer hesitant to show their intimacy in public. Well, if you could call staring at each other as an intimacy.
Park Ki Hoon did once catched them holding hands while walking home together. The man was red to his ears and the woman was giggling softly. These two were worse than highschool couples.
Park Ki Hoon watched them for a while before turning around and drained his glass. Although he's happy for his brother, seeing all the sweetness made him threw up a little in his mouth.
Jung Hee whispered, "Do you think they already did it? They have been dating for almost two months now...."
Park Ki Hoon turned around again to observe the couple, who was now deep in a conversation.
She was talking while he was listening attentively. When she finished, he nodded in an agreement. He stared at her for awhile then he slowly reached out to caress her cheek. She looked down in a shy manner but a pleased smile adorning her lips.
Park Ki Hoon averted his gaze from the couple before he truly throw up all over the bar's floor. It's weekend. He doesn't do cleaning on weekends.
"I would say they kissed, but no further than that," he said.
"You're probably right," Jung Hee sighed. "They really take things slowly, don't they?"
"Well, he just got divorced and she's just building her life. Maybe they weren't ready for anything serious."
"Who? What?" Park Sang Hoon suddenly appeared, brimming with curiosity. "What are you guys talking about?"
Both Park Ki Hoon and Jung Hee looked at him apathetically.
"Nevermind," they said at the same time then returned to their own activities.
"Oh, come on. What is it? Tell meee..."
Park Ki Hoon rolled his eyes at his oldest brother's whiny tone.
The night was getting late. Jung Hee noticed the couple was finishing up, preparing to go. She grinned and mouthed "watch this" to Park Ki Hoon.
"Leaving already, Dong Hoon-a? It's still early," she said while Park Dong Hoon was paying their bills.
"I have to take Ji An ssi home."
"Ji Aaan," she went around the counter and link her arms to Lee Ji An's. "Why don't you stay here tonight. Tomorrow's Sunday, you don't have work, right?"
"I...,"Lee Ji An hesitated, surreptitiously glancing at Park Dong Hoon.
"Come on, it's been a while since we have girl's night."
Park Ki Hoon watched his brother's face fell to a disappointment as Lee Ji An agreed to Jung Hee's suggestion. He sighed in irritation, why couldn't his brother just tell them that he wanted to spend more time with Lee Ji An?
"Great! We will have a pajama party!" Exclaimed Jung Hee.
Honestly, Park Ki Hoon didn't know what's worse. A middle age woman who's gleefully planning a pillow fight or a middle age man who pouted like a preschooler whose toy had been taken away. He decided to put a stop at both.
"Noona," he cut Jung Hee off, "didn't you say earlier that one of your boy toy is going to drop by?"
"I did?" She didn't catch up at first, so Park Ki Hoon widen his eyes at her.
"Oh oh, I did!" She finally understood. "Yes! I'm sorry Ji An, I forgot."
"It's okay..."
"We'll do this another time okay? Promise!"
Lee Ji An chuckled. "Yes, promise."
"Well, we're off then. Goodnight!" Park Dong Hoon quickly ushered Lee Ji An out of the door.
Park Ki Hoon absentmindedly touched his phone on the table. If seeing his brother and the girl had brought the urge to contact Choi Yoo Ra, it's not something he would admit, even to himself.
Jung Hee noticed the movement. "Just call her already."
"Who?"
"Aigoo..."
