Rumi raised an eyebrow as she traced her finger over Hello Kitty’s bow. Then she hooked her thumb beneath the marked page, like she was actually going to open the journal and read it.
Zoey’s heart flew all the way up her throat and hovered between her ears, its frenzied beat muffling every other sound as she watched Rumi peel back the cover.
