Chapter Text
The couple arrived about 22 minutes later, both of them looking a little worse for wear. For one Kazuichi's jumpsuit was halfway unzipped with a stained v-neck tshirt with the words 'Lightning McQueen = Dilf' in clear view. His hair was scruffy and untamed, and sticking out in every direction without his beanie. He honestly couldn't find it in the junk pile he called his floor.
Gundham was in similar shape; his hair improperly gelled, his long cape was missing, his dirty white top and his signature scarf was the only thing covering his large bust. However, His hamsters climbed out his scarf, absolutely ecstatic that they were back in their cozy nesting place.
Akane immediately called them out on it.
“No fuckin’ way! You two look like shit. Like ‘we just fucked and had to rush to get here’ shit. Am I spot on or am I spot on?” She boasted her findings, crossing her arms and smiling. Her expression was scarily confident, as if she knew everything the two did.
“Wowwie, really?! Tell Ibuki it’s true!” Ibuki shouted excitedly, going over to Kazuichi and giving him a large bear hug as she spoke loudly.
She was one of the only students who was really considered a good friend to Kazuichi. Mostly just her and Hajime. Of course Chiaki was nice to him since she was around Hajime, but he never really talked to her.
“Uh--Haha, nah Ibuki, I mean yeah but nah--” He tried to explain without admitting that Gundham had just introduced him to about three different gods. His face was quickly turning red as his brain and mouth refused to work together, stammering wildly.
“Musician, please refrain from such tight grasps on my dark prince.” He said sternly, his voice only slightly deeper than normal. He stepped into Kazuichi’s personal space as Ibuki hesitantly exited it.
“Oh my, it seems that the breeder isn’t denying it, tell me Gundham, will you breed Kazuichi until he’s all swole with chi-” Teruteru foolishly started with a lustful tone, his cheeks turning red at the thought before a foot was planted firmly on his face.
The mechanic was even faster than his boyfriend this time, beginning to stomp on the pervert for even daring to say such words. “Don’t say things like that you stupid pervert!”
Gundham laughed darkly at this, crossing his arms as he silently decided to let Kazuichi handle the cook without his assistance.
Others seemed to share Gundham’s delight, Nekomaru was the first one to break out in full on boisterous laughter which was quickly followed by Ibuki’s laughter which was mostly just her trying to catch her breath while snorting uncontrollably. Within seconds, the entire mood changed, most of the students laughing at different volumes as Kazuichi was still berating Teruteru verbally and physically.
“I’m glad we could all connect once again.” Peko spoke up, showing a rare smile as she stepped closer to Kazuichi who was finally letting up on Teruteru.
“Yeah, me too man! I mean-- er girl! I don’t know, It jus’ made me really sad to see everyone forget about me...Like I’m used to it an all and I know y’all don’t really like me that much--But things still hurt. It was actually Gundham who remembered my birthday after all of that! Just made me see the one person who really noticed me, ya’ know.”
Peko’s smile grew slightly wider as the chef skittered off while Souda showed the moment of weakness. “I can relate in some ways, I was not considered a person until recently, I didn’t even consider myself one. Only my young master--Fuyuhiko was there to remember me and remind me that I mattered. I am deeply sorry if I made you feel like you were inadequate, I know the feeling, and it is one I do not wish to impose on someone else.”
The mechanic started to tear up, throwing his arms around the swordswoman in a tight hug. “Thank you. T-thank you so much.” That’s all he could get out before his tears clouded his vision and he began to sob.
He was so used to being disregarded, forgotten, abused, neglected-- And now someone he was just jealous of yesterday was sympathising with him and knew what it felt like to be all of those things in some kind of way...It was refreshing. It made him feel like he was worth something again. Gundham’s validation could only go so far when everyone else around him barely acknowledged him--But now...
Fuyuhiko joined in the hug, embracing the left side of Kazuichi, which prompted Hajime to hug his right. He couldn’t see the rest of his classmates join in, as everything was a watery blur to him--But he knew from all the weight at least six more of his peers were all around him, or just Chiaki and Nekomaru. But he was assuming the best.
A few moments passed that felt like mere nanoseconds to the heartful mechanic before everyone separated at the sound of the breeder’s voice.
“Alright, everyone remove yourself from him! You have had enough bonding time.” He spoke sternly, commanding the class. Despite some of them internally disagreeing with the prospect, they all followed his orders.
When they had all removed themselves from Kazuichi’s clutches, Gundham looked like he was going to snatch him up, but simply settled his hands on the mechanics shoulders and gave the top of his forehead a small kiss. “My apologies, Inamorato, I fear my heart is riddled with jealousy seeing you so happy in someone else’s embrace.”
“Ew, gross! Get a room.” Before the mechanic could answer, Hiyoko spoke up and stuck out her tongue.
“If you do not wish me to cut your tongue out of your head you will silence yourself, you tiny demon.” Despite the gentle moment, Gundham had no problem with speaking with a sharp tongue and a nasty glare.
Hiyoko just huffed in response, crossing her arms and pouting like a fucking child. Mahiru didn’t even say anything about their behaviour this time.
“Alright, everyone, enough with the sappiness! Let’s get this party started! It’s already getting late and Ibuki wants to play lots of Super Smash bros!” The musician piped up, squeezing Kazuichi around the neck, and the mechanic instantly brightened again.
“Holy shit, yeah! I’m totally gonna beat your ass Ibuki!”
“No fuckin’ way you two, I almost won last time remember?” Fuyuhiko spoke up, pushing Ibuki to the side.
“I can sit a few rounds out if you guys want to win.” Chiaki spoke up, yawning a bit afterwards. Her eyes had familiar bags under them, and the way she stood up slowly conveyed she had just woken up.
“Nah, you know what, Ibuki, you and me--Truce! We’re gonna definitely beat Chiaki today!”
The two punks shook each other’s hands, looking towards the gamer with evil grins. “You’re totally going down!” Ibuki shouted, throwing her hands up towards the air, bringing them back down to shred on her air guitar.
It was one of the best days Kazuichi had in a long time, all of his friends were sitting around and chatting and no one disregarded him or anything he said. He could feel the calm waters of his mind only pick up slightly and he was always able to get them back to normal with a simple touch of Gundham or even a few words. It was like he had been knocked out and now he was living in his own fantasy world. He wouldn’t mind it that much even if that was the case.
With the sun setting and all of his peers stuffing their faces with the delicious dinner that the Ultimate chef had just ‘whipped up’, he finally felt loved by someone other than Gundham. Loved. Did he love Gundham?
He looked over to the solemn breeder with wide eyes. Gundham hadn’t caught wind that the pinkette was staring, simply enamoured with feeding his hamsters some food Teruteru had specifically made for the little animals.
“Hey, Gundham?”
“Yes, dearest?” The breeder didn’t look up, but his ears were open to whatever his prince had to say.
“I love you.”
His calloused hands froze, the large hamster in front of him still nibbling at his nails. It took him a moment before he stood up, practically towering over Kazuichi. He quickly leaned down before the mechanic could say anything else, bringing their faces closer and their lips together in a heated kiss.
The rest of the class was gathered around the large TV the mechanic put together months ago, too distracted by the battle that was happening on the screen to notice the passion blooming between the two young men.
As soon as Gundham slowly pulled away from the kiss, he made sure to grab his lover’s face so he wouldn’t simply kiss him again before he could get the words he needed to say out. “My dearest, you have stolen my heart completely within a few moons. If you desire to stay by my side for eternity, how could I refuse?”
When his sentence was finished, which to Kazuichi felt like an eternity in itself; the breeder finally allowed their lips to meet once again, keeping his hand on the mechanic’s cheek to lovingly stroke at it.
The world around them faded as hastily as their lips met, all Kazuichi could sense was Gundham’s cold hands on his cheek and his warm tongue in his mouth. The breeder felt the pinkette start to melt in his hands, he could practically sense his knees going weak.
Gundham slid his hand around Kazuichi’s waist and supported him with a firm grip so he could be calm knowing that his legs wouldn’t actually give out on him. The shorter took this as a sign to get closer, pressing his body up against the breeder, which caused him to let out a stifled groan.
“Jesus christ, really guys?! In front of my fucking salad?!” Fuyuhiko spoke up, being the first one to notice the couple. He spoke with his mouth full of lettuce, ranch on the side of his lips. He had been trying to eat more healthily since Peko was constantly able to beat him in fights and she commented on his constant desire for sweets.
This caused the few students who weren’t completely focused on the game to turn to the two who had swiftly moved a few feet away from each other with flushed cheeks of embarrassment. Kazuichi scratched the back of his neck, chuckling to himself. “Sorry man…”
Gundham huffed out a sigh of annoyance, and without warning swiftly picked up the mechanic bridal style with the utmost ease. “We thank you for the festivities. We sha’ll be going now. Goodbye.”
