“You remember your name?” Abed asked, gripping his boyfriend's hands in his.
“Yeah. Reggie MCclane, I grew up on a farm with my family, I met you one day at the market and kept running into you everywhere I went, eventually I fell in love and we decided to move somewhere more quiet to settle down.” Troy recapped.
“And I’m Vincent, Vincent Hathaway. I grew up cooking with my father and selling his food in the market. When my father passed I decided I wanted to let the family business go and start fresh with you.”
“Perfect.” Troy smiled, and pressed a loving kiss to Abed's cheek.
“It’s just me and you now, we’re free, I can finally be yours and you can be mine.” Abed whispered.
“I’ve always been yours, my heart will forever be yours. I don’t have a ring on me now but Vincent.” Troy paused. “Or well, Abed.” He said softly.
“I want you for the rest of my life. Will you marry me?”
He got down on one knee on the muddy path.
“Yeah, of course, we can own a small cottage, dance in the rain, cuddle and cook, it’s going to be perfect.” Abed said.
Troy got to his feet and cupped Abed's face, leaning in to kiss him.
“I love you so much,” he giggled.
“I love you too, Sunshine.” Abed smiled, brightly.
“Let’s go get that cottage.” Troy beamed and got back on their horse. They rode the rest of the way into the new town. They were far away from the kingdom, far away from their old lives. He was no longer Prince Abed, he was now Vincent Hathaway, a baker, soon to be married to the love of his life, Reggie MCclane. Nothing mattered as long as he had his soulmate.
