With the Queen gone and her guards defeated, the group left the castle, never wishing to come back.
It took a long time for them to recover at the dwarves’ cottage, but after a few weeks they were all back to their senses, healthy and happy.
After spending those few weeks getting to know each other, Valerian asked Neige if she would want to stay with him in his kingdom, to which she happily agreed.
Vil was finally reunited with her father after years of practicing sorcery, and Rook was welcome to live with them as well.
The seven fae were rewarded handsomely by Valerian’s father, the King of the neighboring land for protecting his son, his son’s allies and the princess he loved.
After a few months of living together in Valerian’s castle, Neige and her Prince had fallen deeply in love. And on Neige’s eighteenth birthday, Valerian surprised her with the greatest gift of all.
“Close your eyes..” Said the prince, guiding Neige towards the castle balcony.
“Hehe, what is it?” She chuckled, excited to see what he has in store for her.
“Now open them.”
She blinked her eyes open and saw Valerian, in front of her on one knee. She gasped, placing a hand on her heart.
“My princess, my beloved Neige. Will you marry me? Will you be my Queen?”
“I will..” She responded tearfully, extending a hand to him, he took it and stood up, embracing her tightly. The two shared a kiss under the sunset, and they lived…
Happily ever after.
