The next morning I wake up to the sound of a gruff voice that sounds bothered by my presence itself I hear it speak” young lad get up you’ve been sleeping your ass off all day if your gonna stay here you need to start being more productive and focus on your job with feeding those animals he snears.
I quickly rush to check the clock on my wall holy shit it’s already 10 minutes before those creatures feeding time I need to get ready I quickly throw on my work clothes and go into the kitchen tent to grab the strange mysterious meat in the buckets.
I walk along to the tent at the back of the circus I really hope this time I can get some information about them they seem so lonely and scared I hope I can do something to help them but I’d have to go against the ringleaders words if I did I sigh.
I step inside putting on a smile the 6 monsters snap their faces towards me wearily. Uhm hello again I’ve come with food and I brought some newspaper that I’ve been reading for you guys to use.
I move to the pink ones cage I plate the meat on the newspaper and this time she take sit form my hand I get happy knowing she trusts me a bit more.
I then move to the amber ones cage and place the metal inside his cage since he seems a bit weary of me but not as much as the others I speak hello there big guy you seem to still have some injuries maybe next time I can help get you patched up I smile.
So big guy can you speak at all or do you prefer to stay quiet the amber eyed monster nods I smile so your selective mute I understand I won’t force you to speak if you don’t want to and I will stick to my promise off bringing you some bandages for you o help with so wounds
The amber eyed monster looks up at me with a gaze that’s different before more forgiving and slightly possessive I shrug it off hes probley just happy that someone helped him and wants to talk to him since the people here are cruel as cruel can get.
I slowly move to the green ones cage I stare at it “ you better not try to pull any tricks this time I won’t be sticking my hands in your cage I place his food outside the cage for him knowing he can grab it .
I notcie the green creature has slimy green thing sticking out its back I’m pretty sure there tentacles those must of been the things that tripped me up yesterday I smirk intrigued by the green creature
So poisonous snake can you speak like your friends aswell the green own replies “ Ofc I can little human we all can understand and speak but we can’t read or write but we have the abilities to observe you and prey on your weaknesses I smirk I’d love to see you try.
I’m to Desperate for a place to stay and eat and this is the place where i got it all you creatures are not ruining my chance off survival so watch out I’m harder thank you think the green eyed one smirks at that and lets me go approach the cyan eyed one.
Hello there I smile you look like your starving I smirk I hold out the meat for him with the paper he gives me nod of acknowledgment and takes it he suddenly speaks up “ human you arm is hurt I can smell the blood pls alllow me to inspect it I sigh “ alright go ahead.
The cyan eyed bird grabs my hand and pulls up my sleeve inspecting the cuts his eyes turn red he laughs maniacally “ oh yes the blood it’s so beautiful such a pretty shade of red I’m just dying to cut you open to see more” I quickly pinch him to knock him out of this crazy state.
Careful there buddy you nearly hurt me the cyan eyed one quickly switches back to normal and apologies “ sorry sir I just got a bit excited” I smile softly it’s alright he speaks “ the cuts seem to be pretty deep but they don’t look like anyone inflicted them apon you
But instead they look like you did it yourself he tilts his head making a soft coping sound almost bird like he tells me I would need it bandage my arm and disinfect it before any infections could spread “ ah thank you Uhm actually what’s your name the bird like creature spoke just call me doctor I smirk
Hmm doctor it’s fits you a bit odd but with Yoru curiosity with the human body and how it works and offering to help people when there hurt I guess you fit the traits of a doctor he finishes his food and I go to the next cage.
I then move to the smallest male out off all of them the one with mismatched eyes I approach with care and also suspicion I place the meat on the newspaper and hand it to the monster who takes it from me not as stingy as the rest.
The monster speaks up “ human why are you acting so nice you even brought us something to eat on what’s your goal with us make us Yoru puppets he raises his eyebrow. I speak up panicked
“ sir I do not want anything in return I simply want to help you guys you looks so weak and alone and if I can I’ll try to sneak you guys extra food or exchange some of it with my pay.
The older monster stares at me with Confusion on why I’m doing any of this but makes no move to attack I quickly hand over the the meat and move to the last cage that holds the supposed leader .
I walk over the to the purple eyed monster it glares at me in a distrustful look I sigh I put the meat on the newspaper and I offer it to him he takes it surprisingly but he grabs my hand and pulls me against the cage bars.
He speaks in a harsh tone” you humans are all the same and why are you acting so different from them do you think your special form the others cause we won’t fall for it .
And if you really are desperate to prove yourself to us he smirks bring us more food help us get free and if we feel kind enough we might spare your life .
I look him in the eye I speak I will help you creatures because I’m not heartless like the others I won’t sit here and let them make fun of you and show you off like animals I will set you free.
The monsters look at me in shock and curiosity they all look me up and down I stand up and walk to the exit of the tent I will keep my promise to you all and I will help you get free I dislike that pathetic ringleader I will help you take him down but I will need time to plan I leave and here them whisper and discuss and I decide to leave them be to talk about me.
I walk back to my tent exhausted form the conversations with the monsters I finish up my daily routine of tightening my bandages to hide my cleverage and I sleep in my underwear and the bandages wrapped around my chest.
