Chapter Text
“Go back to bed Cosmic.” The figure called out. Without a second beat the newspawn ran back down the corridor sobbing into her sleeve. “...As for you young one,”
“Let go of me Bellow!!”
“I shall not.” The watcher began to walk down the stairs, dragging Hyperlaser with them. “This is the third time you've attacked another orphan this week. What ails you, child?”
“I SAID LET GO OF ME!!!”
“This behavior is treasonous in the eyes of the founders. Be greatful I haven't handed you over.”
Hyperlaser finally shut up. He was tired of pulling, his arm was all bloody and gross and his feet hurt from being dragged.
“How could our glorious faction spawn something so monsterous…” Bellow stopped halfway to their office and looked down at the doors. The sound of marching and heavy uniforms trekking through the crunchy snow..they looked down at Hyperlaser, the first time he had seen them open their eyes. “What have you done?”
Hyperlaser looked away. Bellow lowered themself to be eye to eye with Hyperlaser. “What have you DONE!?” Their claws dug into his shoulder harder than they did his arm. There was banging on the door, a sound that rattled the foundation of the building itself. Some of the other orphans stirred and peaked out of their rooms…he had never seen Bellow this mad or distressed or whatever they were…ever. “Go to your room and hide.”
“..what?”
“Go hide! Go shoo run, now!” Bellow turned him around and pushed him toward the corridor, once he crossed the threshold Bellow slammed the doors and closed the curtain to the entrance. “Worry not children, the administrator is just doing checks in, just that! Go back to bed all of you! Not a peep…NONE of you.” Bellow stepped back and looked back down the stairs.
“BELLOW! We wish to speak with you on behalf of the Blackrock Armed Forces!”
Bellow looked back at the now locked corridor and then started down the stairs. When they opened the door they didn't expect an entire troop to be posted outside. “Good evening.”
“Good evening to you. We are looking for one of your housed, the one who has this gear.” The soldiers pulled out a picture and shoved it into their hands.
“Yes yes. I have this inphernal. What do you need him for?”
“Orginally it was for multiple acts of arson and vandalism.”
“What..?”
“Now it's for the first degree murder of about ten of our men.”
“WHAT?” Bellow looked down at the paper then back up at them. “You're saying Hyperlaser did this?”
“That is correct.”
“That's impossible, Hyperlaser wouldn't harm a snowflake, he's one of my good ones.”
“Lying for him makes you as guilty as he is.”
“...He's upstairs, I'll retrieve him.” Bellow bowed. “Please do come inside, there's room for you..most of you to sit.”
The soldiers stood in the foyer while Bellow glided back upstairs. They opened the door to the corridor, watching as newspawn ducked back into their rooms out of fear of the light. “Where did Hyperlaser go?”
The newspawn looked around at each other. They all knew where he was, they just didnt wanna say. Some of them pretended to go back to sleep.
“Hyperlaser?...He's possibly getting a family tonight, I just need him to show up.”The newspawn peaked back out from their hiding spots and started to chatter excitedly, not only would he be gone but one of them was getting taken in? This was great news to them. A few of them pointed back to a closet towards the end of the hall. The last Hyperlaser saw of that orphanage was it fading into the distance as he was wrangled into a van.
