Tanaka is excited to go to school for once. Izuku is coming back from his hero internship during the entire time Midoriya wasn’t able to message Tanaka much.
The tired boy found himself smiling at the thought of seeing Izuku after so long.
He found out some days ago that Shinsou actually lives near him so they started walking to school together. Tanaka actually enjoys it to be honest.
He and Shinsou meet up and start walking to school.
Tanaka has been thinking lately, he wants to eat lunch with Izuku again since it’s been awhile and he's been hanging out with Shinsou at lunch instead. “Tanaka? You good, you've been standing there for some time.” Shinsou steps closer towards the black haired boy.
“..Nothing, sorry.” Tanaka replies then proceeds to immediately yawn.
Weird.. I wonder what's on his mind Shinsou ponders and he and Tanaka continue on the way to school.
As lunchtime arrives Tanaka has decided he wants Izuku and Shinsou to meet. So he decides to make it a mission.
Tanaka and his friend are walking up to the rooftop while talking. Tanaka stops and looks Shinsou in the eye… a few seconds of silence pass “Are you gonna say something?” the purple haired boy raises his brow. Tanaka forgot to speak, he nodded “I want you to meet my other friend.” he says monotonously.
“Alright.”
“Okay.”
Now on the other hand Shinsou is surprised that Tanaka has another friend, as he's never seen Tanaka willingly talk to people or do anything at all.
Tanaka lets out a small smile and nods once as to not strain his neck. He whips his phone out and sends a quick message to Izuku.
Tanaka
Come to rooftop
Izuku
Okay!! Tanaka-kun ≧◡≦
The two tired boys sat on the rooftop, Shinsou leading the conversation as always, and Tanaka just listening more than engaging.
Shinsou leans his back against the wall and cranes his head up to look at the clear blue sky “So when's your friend coming?” he ponders, Tanaka who was more looking at his food then eating it. He couldn’t find the energy to pick up the chopsticks.
Would Izuku feed me again?
….
The shorter male stares at Shinsou and opens his mouth to speak before he gets interrupted.
“Tanaka!!” came from the distance, the voice made both Shinsou and Tanaka snap their heads towards the familiar voice.
Izuku! Tanaka's eyes widen and a subtle smile appears.
He gets up from the bench slowly finding the motivation to move, he hasn't eaten with Izuku in ages.
While Shinsou is wide eyed, mouth agape but nothing comes out. Tanaka is willingly moving?? Shinsou has been friends with Tanaka for some time now, they've hung out with each other during lunch, messaged each other outside of school (though most of the time Tanaka is asleep.)
His other friend that he seemed so excited for him to meet was Midoriya?! The boy who had defeated him in the sports festival.
The beaming greenette and Tanaka make their way to where he and Tanaka were sitting.
The three boys are now sitting on the bench. Izuku sat on the opposite side where Shinosu was sitting. “So Shinsou! I'm so happy Tanaka has another friend then me!” He smiles brightly that he almost blind the two others sitting there.
Shinsou awkwardly nods.
For the rest of the lunch Tanaka just listened to his two friends talk to each other while staring at his food.
Izuku noticed this and stopped talking to the purple haired boy “Tanaka are you struggling to pick up your chopsticks again?” he questions with concern and tilts his head towards the dark haired boy.
He nods and sighs while he places his elbow on his knee, as he is sitting cross legged, and leans his chin on the palm of his hand. Midoriya shakes his head and picks up said chopsticks to grab some of the food in his bento.
Tanaka’s eyes changed slightly into excitement, it was so subtle you couldn’t see it. Is Izuku gonna feed me again..?.
Izuku brings the chopsticks with food to Tanaka’s lips “Say ahh!” The freckled male smiles genuinely, Tanaka opens his mouth slightly wide enough for Izuku to slide the food in.
Am I.. third-wheeling..?
Shinsou stares at the two in astonishment.
It's finally the end of the school day, Izuku and Tanaka are walking home. Shinsou said he wanted to walk home by himself (That confused Tanaka.) Both the boys are walking slowly, Izuku matching Tanaka’s pace.
The hero in training fidgets with his fingers, like he is anticipating saying something. They walk in comfortable silence. Izuku faces towards the boy next to him and stops in his tracks “Tanaka, w-would you like to come over?” he asks.
Come over?
Tanaka has only been over Ohta’s some times, but that was it. He stands there.

…
“Oh I forgot to answer… Yes, I would like to come over.” he looks Midoriya in the eye. To say Midoriya was happy was an understatement “Okay!!” and they both continued to walk.
For the rest of the way Izuku talks Tanaka's ears off, not that he minds, he talks about the latest hero news and about his classes.
Once they arrive at Izuku's apartment he opens the door “I’m home and I brought Tanaka!” He yells out to who Tanaka presumes is his mother.
As they both walk through the door a grown woman with a dark green that resembles Izuku’s and is half up in a bun, walks out from the kitchen and makes her way up to the two boys “You must be Tanaka! Izuku has talked about you!” she gives one of those innocent smiles not knowing she just embarrassed her son.
Tanaka tilts his head “Me..?” he questions Izuku turns beet red and starts to sputter while waving his hands “I-i promise I w-wasn’t talking bad ab-about you!!!” the freckled boy turns towards tanaka.
He’s so cute when he's embarrassed
Tanaka smiles to himself “Well I won’t keep you boys here, go have fun! I'll be in the kitchen.” she smiles and she turns to the kitchen.
The greenettes shoulders drop and he sighs “lets go to my room.”.
When Tanaka enters Izuku’s room is full of the Number one hero All Might. The boy is in amazement, not that he's showing it, of how much merch he has.
Izuku has a lot of merch..
Tanaka listlessly drops down onto the greenettes bed, he feels the duvet with his hands Midoriya sits down next to Tanaka.
His bed is so soft… I could almost fall asleep
Tanaka restrains himself from falling asleep as Izuku has been so kind to invite him.

Hizashi has noticed that his son Hitoshi and Tanaka have been hanging together recently.
He and Shota are on the car ride home, Hitoshi prefers to walk with his friend. He smiles “I think hitoshi has a friend.” he announces “Thats great, do you know who it is?” his husband lets out a small smile. The reason they are so happy is because their son doesn't like to interact with people, and people try to avoid him because of his quirk.
“It’s Tanaka! I'm so glad Tanaka also has a friend… he's a new student and he's a recluse I'd say. Just like our son. Maybe we should ask Hitoshi to invite him over.” Hizashi rambles about his son and his new friend while somehow focusing on the road.
Shota grumbles of what seems to be a sound of acknowledgement.
“Did you end up finding out if the kid had anything?” the raven haired man questions. This made Hizashi frown “No, I looked over his medical sheets and nothing. I think I should try and talk to him about it.” He answers.
Shota scrolls on his phone “Maybe ask his parents.” the man suggested. Hizashi loved his husband who always knew what to do at these times “I’ll try that, Thanks Shota.” and they resume driving home.

Ah… it seems Tanaka has fallen asleep
Izuku honestly should’ve seen this coming. He watches the boy’s chest rise and fall as he listens to the small snores. He decided he should probably wake him up but… He looks so peaceful the freckled boy looks at Tanaka with a smile.
Izuku wants to let Tanaka sleep just a little longer so he grabs his notebook, he settles down on the floor while passing the time writing in his book.

Hitoshi left Midoriya and Tanaka to their own devices
Shinsou enters the apartment where he and his dads live. As he walks in he is immediately interrupted from his thoughts by a “HITOSHI!!!! Did you enjoy your school day?” His dad uses his quirk to erase his other dad’s quirk as quickly as he can.
“Good.” he answers his father’s
question “But I think I'm a third wheel.” Hitoshi leaves it at that and makes his way to his room.
What?
Is what went through both the Pro Hero’s minds.
