Chapter Text
"M-Much pleasure, my name is Shinji Ikari" replied the younger one somewhat tense, Shinji was like a shadow for the entire institute except for his friends, but although no one from the other classrooms knew him, in his case he did. Of all the years he had been a "ghost" he did manage to recognize and memorize the majority of faces from the other classrooms, although with time some faces disappeared and new ones were added, he still memorized them and from afar he observed them, even if they didn't know of his presence, and he was super sure that he had NEVER seen this mysterious boy.
Anyone looked at him with annoyance except his friends, but on the contrary; he looked at him in a curious but calm way, and at the same time with something of recognition.
It made him feel strange.
Shinji with some haste, grabbed his book and apologizing for the second time he left, feeling how the blue-haired boy's gaze penetrated his back, and with the greatest effort he did not turn his gaze back.
Kaworu since he saw the boy felt a deja vu, it was as if he had already seen the boy.
But he had never crossed paths with him in his entire life.
"¡I'm sorry! ¡I-I didn't see where I was walking!"
God, his voice is the most beautiful he had ever heard, he felt the need to take care of him and love him with all his being, but it was strange why did he feel this way with someone he had just met?
""Nice to meet you, my name is Kaworu Nagisa" it was best to introduce himself, maybe he could get to know that boy more who caught his attention quite a lot.
""M-Much pleasure, my name is Shinji Ikari"
With what Shinji Ikari?
Another deja vu.
In the end he couldn't get to know that boy more since after introducing himself, he saw how the brunet with some haste, passed by his side advancing through the hallways, Kaworu followed him with his gaze until the brunet disappeared through the hallways.
Apparently the "plan" to get to know him more would have to wait.
And without further ado he advanced on his way, showing an unconscious smile.
Shinji after walking for several minutes through the hallways and passing by some students who didn't even turn to look at him, something obvious, ended up arriving at a courtyard separated from the institute, and he was grateful that it was empty, since for today he longed to be alone, he sat down under a tree while letting out a sigh of tiredness, while his mind wandered about the boy he had bumped into in the hallways.
"Who was he?"
"Will he be a new student?" He could deduce that yes, since he had never seen him through the institute's hallways, and he had also heard around that they had been transferring students to this institute. He admitted that he was someone attractive normally he didn't think that way about anyone, but to be frank the boy did seem beautiful to him, he felt how his cheeks warmed at such a word but it was true, anyone would get hooked with that guy, even him, he also found him somewhat kind, his gaze was not from someone who looked at him with annoyance or discomfort, on the contrary, it was gentle and soft, just remembering it made him feel warm inside.
He slowly closed his eyes, submerging himself in the tranquility and solitude that his little "hideout" provided him.
And for a moment he forgot the reason why he was in that place.
The book lay on the ground next to him, the cause for which he decided to be alone.
And for the moment he forgot to read it.
When the classes gave their end, Shinji with tiredness picked up his bag to withdraw, since he longed to be in his comfortable bed, before he could leave he felt how an arm surrounded him, who belonged to his friend Kensuke.
"¡Shinjiiii! Why didn't you spend the break with me?" complained the one with glasses, the brunet dedicated a slight smile to his friend who kept complaining about being alone the whole break.
"Forgive me Kensuke, I wanted today to be alone for a moment. But I promise you that tomorrow Toji and I will spend it with you, that is if tomorrow he returns, and if not, then it will be just you and me." Kensuke smiled at his friend's response moved by what was said, he gave two pats on the head of the shorter one, the two left the classroom straight to the exit of the institute, the two heading towards their homes together, the two enjoying the presence of the other.
Unaware of someone who was watching them from afar.
