Chapter Text
“You know, I never intended to have it go this far.”
his voice was like nails on a chalkboard to mike. It made him angrier, and angrier.
“Yeah, sure. Your daughter told me everything you’ve done. You’re not innocent.”
He mumbled, not even bothering to look at the male behind him.
Afton let out a low groan of annoyance at the mention of Vanessa. He’s always hated her name coming out of peoples mouths. He then finished what he was doing and went back to mike.
With a small, what looked like a scalpel, he had a face of pure coldness. He wasn’t gonna regret One. Thing. He was about to do.
“You know, you’re really strong for what you’ve gone through, mister Schmidt. For that, I’m gonna make you suffer through hell.”
He lowly growled, gently putting the scalpel up to mikes face, causing him to shiver at how cold it was.
“Yeah? How’re you gonna hurt me. If I was out of here, you’d be fucking —“
He was cutoff by a painful slice to the face, causing him to let out a small groan of pain. He wanted to seem stronger than this, but God, was it hard.
The cut bled instantly. Causing the crazed man to smile from ear to ear, scalpel in hand.
He didn’t stop there. Afton then went for his wrist, for he knew mike was unable to move them.
He roughly grabbed his wrist and held it in place, causing mike to panic. He tried to shake the man off, but nothing worked. The man was surprisingly strong for his age and place..
“Don’t you touch me, God dammit!”
He shouted at the man, continuing to try and get him off. His face was filled with fear as saw the scalpel come closer in contact with his wrist.
Without speaking, the older man placed the small surgical instrument on his wrist, slowly moving it as it cut through his skin. Causing mike to wince and let out a slightly louder yelp.
The wrist began to bleed, and bleed. Not looking like it’s gonna stop anytime soon.
Just then, mike felt dizzy. The amount of blood loss caused it. God, how he wished he could just break free, kill the man that hurt his sister, friend, and bring him to justice.
Afton had finally finished with a maniacal grin on his face, the smile only growing as he saw how good he had cut it.
“Poor, poor mike. Suffering through something.. that he doesn’t even deserve! God, this is so much funner than I thought,”
His voice filled with excitement as he saw mike grow dizzier.
“Your sister wouldn’t be too happy about this now, would she? Poor girl has to live with her aunt now. Her brother won’t be available ever again.”
He chuckled to himself after that last sentence, turning away to go upstairs and leave the younger man to fix himself up somehow.
“You.. fuck — y-you..”
He weakly mumbled as he tried to hold his head higher. He was growing weaker by the second, and didn’t know how much longer he could stay awake. Then - he was out. Just like last time, he was completely blacked out.
~~~~~~~~
At her aunts house, she didn’t wanna rest until she knew her brother was ok. She couldn’t.
Abby walked around every day asking people left and right about her brother. Asking if anyone had seen him before. She walked even further out of her aunt’s neighborhood, not even being watched.
Sometimes, she even snuck out at night. She was far too scared for her brother to have one wink of sleep.
“Oh, come on Abby. Just eat! It’s been almost two days!”
The older woman shouted to Abby, her voice full of annoyance.
“Not hungry.”
She responded with a monotone sounding voice. She was almost already out the door, leaving the second she had said her one, and only sentence to her aunt that day.
She started her walk more in the busy places, knowing - well, hoping someone would recognize him.
The young girl started with an older woman, and what looked like her son.
For some reason, it reminded her of mike. His expression matched her brothers almost perfectly..
“Hey - miss! May I ask you a quick question?”
The girl asked. Her tone filled with a pleading tone, her eyes making themselves look as irresistible as possible.
“Hm? Oh, uhm - sure, sweetie. What’s up? Are you lost?”
The older woman replied with a sweet tone, signaling her son to stop at the stop sign up ahead.
“No, not lost, I’m trying to find my older brother. I wanted to ask if you’ve ever seen this guy before?”
She asked, quickly digging in her pocket and pulling out the picture to show. She held it up to the woman’s face, hoping she’d at least recognize him.
The lady squinted her eyes at the picture, her face showing some confusion as she kept analyzing the photo.
“I’m sorry, dear. He doesn’t seem to ring a bell.”
The woman replied with a sad tone, giving Abby a small frown.
“But, I do hope you find him. I’m sure he’s ok.”
She smiled softly, putting a hand on Abby’s shoulder in a comforting gesture.
“Yeah, thank you.”
The younger girl replied, her sadness showing.
The older woman stood up, turning around to meet her son.
“Well, it’s not the end of the world. I could just ask someone if they know where the guy that took mike is!”
She said to herself, a small smile growing as she quickly turned around to back to her aunts house to print out a picture of afton.
~~~~~~~
After she had printed the photo out, she quickly put it in a small bag, running out the door without speaking a word.
It was a cloudy day, it looked like it was gonna rain even. The young girl brought a coat just in case.
She went from person to person. They all knew who mister afton was, just never knew where he was. Until one person.
He seemed to have been friends with him and happened to know where he lived.
“Oh, Steve! I know that guy, such a great dude. Me and him been friends for as long as I can remember.”
He exclaimed, his tone full of excitement as he explained.
“Yeah, yeah. Cool, but do you know where he lives?”
She cut him off, slight annoyance growing in her tone.
“Well, of course! Would ya’ like me to give you a ride?”
He offered, pointing to his car behind him and the girl.
“No thanks, creepo. I’m good. Could you just write it down?”
She replied, making a face as the man seemed annoyed with her tone.
“You know what - sure, why not.”
He mumbled, beginning to grab a pen from his jacket. Once done, Abby gave him the piece of paper.
He wrote the address on it, the young girl growing more suspicious as he didn’t even question it.
“Uh.. thanks.”
She nodded at him before turning around and walking away. She got just what she needed, and she was gonna start right away. Once she got home that is..
~~~~~
Mike was out for at least three or four hours. But, he woke up, bandaged.. he was still in pain, but shocked.
“Who the hell..”
He mumbled to himself as he looked down at the nicely bandaged wrist. The blood sept through it a bit, but hey, he was alive.. Mike didn’t care as long as he was ok for his sister.
Just then, the door opened again. Not shockingly, it was afton.. this time bearing nothing. Maybe he wanted to talk this time.
“What do you want, and - how’d you bandage me up? Isn’t that your daughter who knows how to do that?”
The younger male quickly questioned. His tone filled with genuine wonder and anger.
“Maybe. Or maybe, she taught me. Ever think of that in your little head yet?”
He responded in an annoyed tone, giving mike a look that showed he didn’t even wanna help.
“Gotta keep you alive somehow, right?”
He chuckled to himself, shaking his head slightly.
Mike scoffed, looking away from afton. He wanted absolutely nothing to do with him. But, of course, he had no choice.
Sadly, his hands were still bound and so was everything else. But, he managed to loosen them a little bit for comfort.
“What’d you even want.”
Micheal asked, giving afton a look of disgust.
“Just to say hi.”
He smiled as he replied, the smile being utterly horrifying.
Mike grew more disgusted at his words. His tone being.. disturbing.
“You’re disgusting, you know that?..”
Mike mumbled, his words being breathy as he was still slightly dizzy.
Afton nodded, taking a step closer to mike. Just then, without a warning, he hit him with something. He doesn’t know what, but dear God did it hurt..
He began to bleed once more, his nose having one of the biggest gashes you’ve ever seen.
“Did you just… slash my fucking face with a kitchen knife?!”
The younger male yelled, demanding an answer as the blood flowed out of his nose with great speed.
“Hm.. so, you’re finally using your brain now!”
William exclaimed with a glad/sarcastic tone. He was annoyed with how much he was yelling..
“Ok, you know what? If you’re gonna keep me here, you might as well tell me what you did to Vanessa and Abby. Did you hurt them even more!?!”
He shouted at the man in front of him once again, sounding much more worried as his face began to show hints of genuine concern for them.
Afton looked away, and with a small sigh,
“Your sister, is fine.”
He mumbled, sounding quite unsure if she even was.
“And your daughter?”
Mike asked, his tone growing with more and more worry within each second.
“I brought her home. She’s upstairs as we speak!”
His disgusting smile only grew as he looked at mike.
Micheals eyes only grew in horror as he heard. She’s probably dead, if not, somehow hanging on.
“You monster. You’re utterly insane..”
He mumbled, looking away from him as he shook slightly.
“Yes, yes. I get that, big guy. Now, if you don’t mind, I’m gonna head off somewhere, okay?”
He patted mikes leg as a “goodbye”, walking upstairs and closing the door behind him.
This gave mike a chance to possibly escape. The bounds became looser since he was tugging at them so much. Luckily, he had a bit of strength in him yet. (Somehow😭)
He tugged and tugged for what felt like an eternity. But, he finally did it. The bounds broke loose and he was free. That was, until he remembered he could barely walk. He was still dizzy as ever.
He was able to stand, holding onto a wall for support while he gained back his whole consciousness.
After maybe two minutes, he was able walk. He could finally be free - see his sister, and tell her that he’s alright.
But, he decided to see if the injured officer was actually here or not, and if she was actually even alive..
He thought she’d be upstairs in a room. But, she was there.. just laying on the couch? No proper care yet?
He went over to her, but was horrified at what he saw. Her head was all bandaged, but the blood had sept through it. She was still alive, he felt her pulse. Somehow, she was.. ok? It didn’t seem possible after what she’d gone through. I mean, after she was stabbed, and had her head literally bashed on a wall like five times? It didn’t seem real.
Mike couldn’t just leave her here.. I mean, her father could end up harming her even more. But, what would he do?
Just then, the front door opened.
He was back.
