Chapter 10: Run

The game against Bastard München is the best one Reo’s played in weeks, and he finally feels he can play the football he wants—not relying on anyone. Until Nagi screws everything up.

All the negative feelings bubble up and Reo lashes out, but Nagi is unrelenting.

“I need you, Reo.”

This selfish bastard.

“Ever since that day you invited me to play football together, I’ve always been with you.”

“I just keep making the best choices to make our promise come true.”

Reo doesn’t want to understand, but he understands.

They form a combo, and Reo passes.

“Yes, Boss.”

Notes:

The last chapter features manga quotes translated by me. They're a bit of a reach, but not,,, that much of a reach. The Japanese language is vague enough it allows a lot of flexibility. Or at least that's what I tell myself whenever I look at 「凪【おれ】には玲王【おまえ】が必要なんだ」

I have no clue if ao3 have fixed the scam spam issue yet, but I turned the comments off because that was a huge pain to report one by one, and this fic has 10 chapters.
