I missed you so much, damn, I miss everything about you. I’d give my life just to have this smile directed at me. Just at me.
This was what crossed Lee Heeseung’s mind as her girlfriend, Sim Jaeyun, was stroking her hair in the middle of the grand ballroom.
Okay… Heeseung wasn’t even sure how they ended up in this situation.
Exactly one month ago, Jaeyun had said she wanted to take a break, and Heeseung respected that. She had given her the time she wanted. She avoided the halls Jaeyun frequented, stayed away from her entirely, fled from her presence whenever she could. Because that was what Jaeyun wanted; Heeseung just obeyed her.
A month ago, Jaeyun had told her that she couldn’t feel her love, that she was looking for more passionate and possessiveness. Heeseung had said she would try. She truly believed that if she learned everything about Jaeyun, they could overcome it together. But Heeseung was someone who believed that love was meant to set a person free. Her lover should’ve loved her for who she was, or they should have grown together. Jaeyun, on the other hand, wanted to be claimed. To be possessed. For her, love meant sacrifice, but Heeseung was devoted to her freedom. While Heeseung got along well with everyone and lived a more chill life, Jaeyun’s expectations of love were very different. That was why they had never been able to find a middle ground, it seems. Maybe they were better as friends. After all, being lovers was a more vulnerable thing. Maybe… they just weren’t compatible. Heeseung had come to that conclusion, and it was driving her mad.
And then there were family matters, of course.
Jaeyun’s family came from a wealthy, noble vampire bloodline. They were the darlings of the Ton, well-known and well-liked in high society. Heeseung’s family, on the other hand, was one that inspired fear. People spread blood-chilling rumors about them nonstop. According to one story, the Lees kept corpses in their manor and laughed while eating human flesh at night. According to another, Heeseung had bullied a student so severely at the Academy that the student was still obligated to give Heeseung their blood.
Yes… Heeseung came from a strange, feared family like that.
So when she began courting the Academy’s angel, everyone’s noble princess, Sim Jaeyun, the entire court was shaken. It was fascinating. Terrifying. Every gaze in the class, no, in the entire academy, followed them wherever they went. Jaeyun didn’t care, but Heeseung couldn’t even kiss her the way she wanted to. She was tired of settling for brief, chaste pecks on lips she would have devoured with passion. And yet, with a single smile from Jaeyun, with a gentle, “We can always meet at my chambers, don’t be sad, my love,” Heeseung would soften instantly. She became pliant, obedient, nodding to everything Jaeyun said.
Sure, not being able to kiss your lover like a madwoman was a problem. But for Heeseung, Jaeyun’s happiness mattered more. Over time, she learned to stop caring about everything else.
Truthfully, there wasn’t much she cared about besides Jaeyun anyway. And yet, it hadn’t been enough.
The academy’s elegant princess had still left her.
It’s not a breakup, Heeseung told herself. But it had been a month. A whole month. How many couples got back together after taking such a long break? In this month, they always turned away whenever they crossed paths in marble corridors. They averted their eyes as if struck by lightning whenever their gazes met.
So then… what about now?
Why was Jaeyun stroking her hair at this very moment? How had they ended up like this?
It was all Riki’s doing. Heeseung would never normally come to this ballroom. She knew Jaeyun was here. Of course, she definitely didn’t learn it from the bat she trained to follow Jaeyun; the fact that Jaeyun was at there was common knowledge. She always drank blood-wine here with her friends and noble acquaintances. Unlike the shady, dark taverns Heeseung frequented, this was a spot for the elite, wealthy, and… well, unbearably boring for Heeseung. Everyone sipped their drinks elegantly, wearing fake smiles. Where was the fun in that? It must have been difficult to come here expecting to party and instead feel like you were attending a fake charity event staged for show.
In the past, Heeseung had said she wouldn’t set foot in here even for death, but yesterday Riki had insisted she wanted to bring a gift to the host of the ball and didn’t know anyone, so she asked Heeseung to come along for emotional support. Riki was never the type to say things like that; what had gotten into her? Heeseung thought. One way or another, she found herself in this grand hall. Even though she prayed not to run into Jaeyun, she realized it was pointless the moment she stepped inside.
Heavens. The beautiful face she hadn’t dared to look at properly for a month was giggling at a table behind her. Heeseung snapped her mouth shut as Jaeyun tossed her long brown hair back and adjusted her corset neckline. Are you insane, Heeseung? Might as well start drooling too. But seeing Jaeyun in that midnight blue gown threw her completely off balance. She wanted to tear those white lace stockings with her teeth, ruin that flawless makeup, kiss her until there was no pink gloss left on her lips.
Why… why did she want to take a break? Heeseung hadn’t asked, but she’d been questioning it for a full month now.Well, when it was her precious Jaeyun who had ended things, she couldn’t bring herself to go against her.
Sim Jaeyun was the queen who always knew best, and Heeseung felt like nothing more than a servant who bowed to her will. She sighed and kept walking beside Riki, but when she felt eyes on her, she turned back toward Jaeyun again.
When their eyes met, it lasted longer than a second for the first time in weeks. Heeseung couldn’t tear her gaze away from those pretty eyes, while Jaeyun stared back at her with surprise, her mouth slightly open. Well, nowadays Heeseung would leave even the Academy courtyard when she saw Jaeyun, so seeing her here, of all places, naturally came as a shock to Jaeyun. But she seemed to have gotten over the shock, closing her open mouth and averting her gaze with a frown. Heeseung didn’t like this expression on her face. You hate me that much? You don’t wanna see me that much? Her mood soured as she turned back to face forward.
“So, looks like your lover is here?”
“Just let’s get out of here first. You owe me big time.”
Heeseung didn’t even know why she was so angry. She knew she was supposed to respect Jaeyun’s decision; she was fully aware of that. Still, it irritated her. As she went to get drinks with Riki, her eyes kept drifting back over there. Jaeyun was alone now, the friends she was laughing with earlier were no longer by her side. She lifted her glass and took a single sip; Heeseung once again realized she was standing there with her mouth slightly open and hurried to close it. Damn. She could not even look at Jaeyun with a normal expression anymore. Especially after “taking a break” , it felt like Heeseung was losing her mind. She had not known it was possible to be this affected by someone.
This… this had to be what scared Heeseung.
She hated being dependent on anything, and when she was with Jaeyun, she was afraid of losing herself completely. Maybe that was why she had agreed to her decision so quickly. She wanted to be a free Heeseung again, a Heeseung without Jaeyun in her life. For a month now, she was trying to return to her old hobbies, meeting new people in the kingdom. But this hunger for Jaeyun inside her just wouldn’t go away. She was still crazyly addicted to her. She still imagined her while touching herself, couldn’t desire anyone else the same way, couldn’t cut Jaeyun out of her system. She had managed to put Jaeyun’s gifts into a box, but she still couldn’t bring herself to throw them out.
Fuck, how could she forget her? How? Sim Jaeyun was a girl straight out of a dream; and no force could pull Heeseung back into the real world.
Still, there was nothing to be done. Even if it hurt him, Jaeyun always had the last word. Everything was as it should be now. Even tough they were in the same ballroom, they were raising their glasses alone at opposite ends. Just two strangers…
At least, that was how it was supposed to be.
But when Riki suddenly grabbed her by the arm and pulled her into the middle of the crowd, Heeseung realized they would not be staying put after all. They were heading toward Jaeyun’s table.
“I won’t—”
“My Lady, please! Just one minute!” Riki said. “Yuichi wants to try the drinks at the counter she’s at.”
Who the fuck is Yuichi? Heeseung could not decide whether she was more shocked by Riki finding herself a new friend in a matter of seconds, or by this so-called Yuichi following them with an easy smile and a completely relaxed attitude. She sighed and followed them at a slow pace.
“You can go get the drinks. I’ll wait here.”
But Riki was stubborn, as if she would explode if they wont stay together like glue. When Heeseung let out an audible sigh, she realized Jaeyun was now close enough to hear her, and she immediately quieted down. For the past month, she had been acting as if she did not exist whenever Jaeyun was around. She was so careful that she barely dared to breathe in her presence. Without taking her eyes off the girl whose back was turned to her, she sat down on a stool five or six seats away.
When Yuichi turned to Jaeyun and asked, “May I sit here?” Heeseung stared at Riki in shock. Riki shrugged. Apparently, she also had no idea what was Yuichi’s intentions either.
“You may.” The moment Heeseung heard Jaeyun’s soft voice, goosebumps rose along her skin. Damn. Her heart began to race just from that. As if she forgot her motor skills, she tried to sit on the stool, but in the end she couldn’t sit down and fell over. Riki burst into laughter, while Heeseung rubbed her sore hip, frowning. When she lifted her head, she saw that Jaeyun was looking at her too.
Fuck… was she laughing?
Jaeyun covered her lips with her hands, but the skin around her eyes was crinkled. She always looked like that when she laughed. Heeseung used to watch her for hours, long enough to come up with ridiculous metaphors just to describe her. And now, yeah, no doubt, Jaeyun was laughing at her.
Was she laughing at how pathetic she looked, or…
Maybe she found her cute?
Yes. That was the truth. Heeseung just didn’t know it.
Sim Jaeyun smiled unconsciously as she watched her ex fall to the floor just from hearing her voice. Heeseung got back on her feet with Riki’s help, and Jaeyun quickly turned her face away. She wanted to kill herself for still finding her cute. She wanted to kill herself for most of the past month, actually. She was that angry at herself.
And most of all, at Heeseung too.
Fine. Jaeyun was the one who had ended things. But Heeseung had accepted it just like that. She didn’t shout, didn’t get angry, didn’t shed a single tear. She only said quietly, “I’m sorry for everything.” She walked away with her head lowered. Jaeyun just stood there and watched her go.
No… That was not what she had wanted!!!
She knew how hard Heeseung tried for her. Of course she knew! To understand her, to avoid disappointing her. But, yeah, that was exactly what suffocated Jaeyun the most. She wanted Heeseung to treat her normally, not like a goddess to be worshipped. Being seen as perfect, having every word of hers met with agreement, was unbearable. She wanted Heeseung to yell at her, to get angry with her. Like… For example, she never saw Heeseung got jealous. Even if Jaeyun waved to the entire world, Heeseung’s mood would not change. She never restricted her, never tried to control her.
At first, that felt wonderful. It was healthy, peaceful. But slowly, Jaeyun had begun to think that maybe Heeseung did not love her that much. She said she wanted to take a break because she was curious about Heeseung’s reaction. Could it be that she really didn’t love her, as she suspected?
And… her suspicions turned out to be true.
Heeseung didn’t approach her. Not even once. As if they had never been lovers before.
Now she stood there with Riki and a stranger, a stark, handsome contrast to the sea of silk gowns and lace. Her dusty mauve hair was shorn clean at the nape—a daring figure that defied every ballroom convention. As always, she had snubbed the heavy paints and powders of the court, her bronze skin radiant under the warm glow of the crystal chandeliers. She wore a midnight-toned frock coat, perfectly tailored to her frame, with a high collar that framed her jawline with dangerous precision. Jaeyun felt the heat rise to her cheeks and forced her wandering gaze back to the table in front of her.
I missed you so much.
Damn it, Jaeyun missed her terribly. But she could not speak. As if Heeseung’s silence during the breakup had not broken her heart enough, now her stupid baby was running away from her everywhere they crossed paths, as if Jaeyun was a disease.
Do you hate me that much? Did you ever love me at all?
The person beside her, the one called Yuichi, kept talking, but Jaeyun only gave him polite, ordinary answers.
“Don’t you have an ideal type, Lady Jaeyun? If I wrote an article for the VampMagazine about your ideal type, everyone would buy it!”
At that question, Jaeyun swallowed. How was she supposed to answer something like that with her ex… no, her girlfriend just a few meters away?
“I don’t have one,” she murmured.
“But how? Everyone has an ideal type. Tell her, Riki, what’s yours?”
“Quiet, calm people,” Riki replied softly.
“Really? I had no idea! What about you, Heeseung?”
At the sound of her name, Jaeyun pretended not to care, unaware that her feet were swinging restlessly beneath the heavy silk of her skirts. She fidgeted with her rings, then finally reached for her ivory dance card, tracing the empty lines with a charcoal pencil as if meticulously checking her suitors for the night.
“First of all, I do not believe we are on such intimate terms that you may address me by my name.”
Heeseung had always been soft-spoken. Despite the chilling rumors, she rarely raised her voice, speaking always with a quiet composure. Hearing that velvet tone again after a full month intensified the longing in Jaeyun’s chest; her eyes nearly welled up.
In the past, Jaeyun’s favorite hour was the gloaming. Resting her head on Heeseung’s chest and closing her eyes. Heeseung would gently stroke her long hair while Jaeyun rambled about her day. Her girlfriend would listen quietly, offering calm advice. If Jaeyun was a sea lost in a storm, Heeseung was the lighthouse that guided her, steady and unwavering. Being with Heeseung soothed her soul. Their two whole years felt like living in a warm, cozy home where she has no worries, only wrapped in love.
And now it had all slipped through her fingers. Jaeyun didn’t know what—or who—to blame. Had she been clinging to a lie? Why had Heeseung stopped trying for her?
“Oh, for heaven’s sake, you’re being tedious, Heeseung!” The conversation Jaeyun had tried to drown out flooded back at the mention of her beloved. “Just say it already. What kind of person is your ideal type? Who are you afraid of? Tell me! Lady Jaeyun? She won’t tell anyone, she’s a noble soul! Isn’t that right, my lady?"
When the man turned to her, Jaeyun froze, heat rushed to her ears. Finally, she quickly nodded. Her heart was racing. She silently thanked herself for the extra layer of blush she’d applied. When she turned slightly to the left with a shy, fleeting glance, she saw all three of them looking at her. Jaeyun’s eyes, however, were fixed on the one sitting farthest away, on Heeseung.
Their eyes met. And immediately, Heeseung looked away.
“Fine, then,” she said, her voice icy as it filled the table. “I like honest people. People who care about those they leave behind, who can offer them an explanation. I hate… selfish people.”
“Oh, is that so?”
As they continued talking loudly, Jaeyun’s breathing grew shallow. She clenched her fists and pressed them into her knees, hiding them in the fabric of her skirt.
Are you talking about me? You think I lied to you? You want an explanation? Why didn’t you come to me? Why should I always be the one to make a move?!
Actually… The moment Heeseung walked into this place, Jaeyun’s heart beated wildly. She even sent her friends away, thinking Heeseung might come over and talk to her. Until just seconds ago, she was certain she would make a move. But one sentence, spoken in a tone colder than she ever heard from her, shattered every hope she built in her head.
Jaeyun fought not to shout at Heeseung. She fought so hard that her fingernails left crescent marks in her palms. She kept biting her lips until the rouge was nearly gone. Enough. She stood up. Under the pretense of seeking the retiring room, she passed by Heeseung’s side. She stopped level with the woman in the black frock coat, but didn’t turn her head or meet her eyes.
“A nice choice, indeed. For me, Lady Heeseung… I’ve always been drawn to people who actually put in the effort. Cowards like you wouldn’t really get it, but I just wanted to say it anyway.”
She congratulated herself for managing to speak without her voice trembling. Without waiting for a reaction, she walked quickly toward the powder room. She slipped into one of the private chambers and waited. Every memory flooded her mind—the peaceful mornings when Heeseung whispered that she loved everything about her; whispered that Jaeyun’s lively nature was the only thing that gave her the will to endure this life. Jaeyun kept staring at the stone wall, not knowing what she was supposed to feel.
I hate selfish people.
Finally, tears streamed down her cheeks as she covered her face with her hands. No one could see her, yet she still felt ashamed. Ashamed for crying, ashamed of herself. How… how could Heeseung be such a good liar? How could two entire years amount to nothing but a serpent’s skin? Jaeyun couldn’t comprehend it. Feeling like she no longer knew the person she thought would stay by her side for eternity was nothing short of hell.
As she cried quietly, she realized her monthly flow had begun and cursed the stars under her breath. She sent word through a maid for her valise and made a decision right then and there.
This was her last chance.
She would play one final, cheap game. And if it didn’t work, she would truly distance herself from Lee Heeseung. At least, she would try. Because right now, she didn’t think she could remove her from her heart—not even if she wanted to.
And Heeseung?
There was nothing in Heeseung’s heart but Jaeyun.
Well, maybe the piano too. But what mattered most was Jaeyun’s comfort. Her happiness, her peace of mind. But being away from her for so long had upset her balance. Suddenly, she found herself wanting to hurt Jaeyun too. She wanted him to react. That whole month was hell for Heeseung, but Jaeyun seemed indifferent. Heeseung thought she didn’t care, but this whole thing was starting to bother her.
“Cowards like you wouldn’t really get it, but I just wanted to say it anyway.”
Heeseung couldn’t swallow. She was so angry she didn’t know what to do or what to say. Jaeyun might have been right; she was a coward. She was afraid to take the first step and ruin everything. That’s how her life had been—trying to find peace by avoiding difficulties—but escaping Jaeyun was harder than she had expected. Why was it so difficult to get her out of her system?
“If you drag Jaeyun into your stupid jokes one more time, it won’t end well,” she snapped at Yuichi. But the idiot was grinning.
“I knew you two were former lovers. Honestly, I was expecting a fight. You’re both way too calm.”
When Heeseung suddenly stood up, Riki stepped in front of her. “My Lady…” She placed a hand on Heeseung’s chest, but Heeseung shoved her aside. Within seconds, she had grabbed Yuichi by the cravat and slammed him against the wall. The man looked up in shock and terror, but when Heeseung struck him in the stomach, she collapsed to the floor.
“Y–You…”
“Do I look calm to you?” Heeseung whispered in pain. It hurt. The fact that everyone thought she was totally chill about the breakup was starting to get on her nerves. Now because of that bastard, Jaeyun began to think that way too. For God’s sake, did she have no idea how much pain she was in this past month? You’re an idiot, Heeseung. A complete idiot.
“You’ve probably heard of the Lee’s reputation.” she whispered. “If you value your life, don’t let me see you around here.”
Yuichi scrambled away toward the hallway, and at that exact moment, Jaeyun emerged from the same corridor. She had refreshed her makeup, and she was holding her plush silk shawl in her hands. Her white shoulders were now bare under the thin silk ties of her gown, her brown hair falling down over them.
Heeseung realized she was staring for too long and quickly looked away.
“Let’s go back to our table, Riki.”
They turned around, and Heeseung stared into the amber liquid in her glass, silently wishing this night would just end already. She managed to keep up this fake calm for a few minutes—but it didn’t last long once others sat down beside her.
“Did you see her? Look at how she’s embarrassing her!” loud voices rose from the table beside her just as Heeseung downed her fifth glass of brandy.
“I didn’t know Sim Jaeyun was that kind of woman. She always seemed so pure.”
“She’s a disgrace to the Sim lineage.”
When Heeseung slammed her crystal glass down hard on the table, the people speaking flinched and fell silent.
Everyone is testing my patience tonight, I wonder if I can get out of here without killing someone.
“Watch what comes out of your mouths,” Heeseung said, tilting her head slightly to the right. The girls huddled closer together, shrinking back in fear. “Or I’ll make sure nothing ever comes out of them again.”
The girls swallowed hard, got off their stools, and hurried away as if fleeing. Heeseung glared after them with hatred, then picked up her glass again. Afterward, she looked toward Jaeyun’s side, suddenly afraid of what she might see.
Her right eye twitched at that exact moment.
Jaeyun was sitting at the octagonal table, her curves strained against her tight-laced corset. She had her legs crossed, flirting shamelessly with the nobleman talking to her, tugging on her cravat and pretending she was about to kiss him before pushing him back. Heeseung’s hands began to shake. Jaeyun shoved him away, then started stroking another lady’s face. The woman grinned, but Jaeyun pushed her away as well. Looking weary, she yawned, reached for her goblet again, and drank, laughing like a madwoman. Her eyes were nearly closing, yet every predator in the room was looking at her with hunger.
Heeseung frowned. This was not how it was supposed to be. Where were her stupid friends? The whole scene felt so primitive and disgusting. Her dearest Jaeyun looked like a lamb thrown into a den of wolves. She looked dangerously intoxicated, defenseless. When one of the men began stroking her legs, which were covered in white lace stockings, Heeseung’s eyes widened so much they were almost white. The glass in her hand finally shattered into shards, and Riki jumped.
“My Lady, what happened..?”
“I’ll be right back, Riki.”
Heeseung knew she shouldn’t do this. But she convinced herself she was not doing it out of jealousy. It was just a protective instinct; she was simply helping a fellow woman who was in trouble, right? Right?
When she reached the octagonal table, the laughing faces vanished. Everyone grew serious and turned to look at the infamous Lee Heeseung. Sim Jaeyun’s former lover, the rebellious daughter from that ancient family of lunatics with a reputation for being unhinged… The sudden silence was no coincidence. As everyone stared at her with fear and a hint of admiration, Heeseung walked straight toward Jaeyun. Jaeyun seemed not to notice her, still caressing the face of the man in front of her.
Heeseung caught her wrist, yanking her body toward her roughly. Jaeyun stumbled. Heeseung put her hands on her waist to steady her, no longer knowing what she was doing.
Playing with fire.
“Jaeyun.”
At the sound of Heeseung’s harsh voice, Jaeyun stopped moving. She lifted her head and met her gaze, and Heeseung’s anger only grew. In those gleaming brown eyes, she caught her own reflection. She watched Jaeyun’s lips curl up in triumph, her eyes shining. Despite this lovely sight, her heart was no longer filled with peace as it once had been.
Not being able to possess her was starting to annoy her.
“Oh, I think I found her…” The wrist she held timidly approached Heeseung’s face, and she allowed it silently. As Jaeyun started to caress her cheeks, Heeseung’s eyes widened. Wanting to rip her racing heart out of its place, she swallowed hard.
“I was looking for the most attractive person in this ballroom… finally, I found her…”
She giggled, looking at Heeseung joyfully. Heeseung’s breath caught at her gorgeous face.
I missed you so much, damn, I miss everything about you. I’d give my life just to have this smile directed at me. Just at me.
Jaeyun’s fingers traced every inch of her face. Heeseung held her breath, afraid even to breathe into her palm.
When a man put her hand on her shoulder, Heeseung quickly turned her eyes to him. The man was anxious, trying to pull Jaeyun away. She was trying to take her Jaeyun from her, that bastard…
“You’re drunk, Miss Jaeyun. It’s Lee Heeseung, can’t you see? Come, let me bring you home.”
The man tried again, but Heeseung seized Jaeyun and drew her against her chest. Jaeyun’s arm fell onto Heeseung’s shoulders.
“Oh… Lee Heeseung…” She suddenly broke free and stepped back. She was staggering as she looked at Heeseung now, but her face was still smiling. “Why did you come here? Why? Were you looking for honest people?”
“I…” Heeseung began quickly. Okay… It was definitely a bad idea, she realized that, but it was already too late. “I’m taking you out of here. You’re not in your right mind.”
“I’m not in my right mind?” When Jaeyun shouted in a sarcastic tone, silence fell not just over their table but over the entire salon. Everyone was watching now. A scandal between famous lovers? And was it Jaeyun, the one who always gave shining energy, shouting instead of the intimidating Heeseung? Now that was an interesting piece of court gossip.
“I’m not in my right mind, is that so?” Jaeyun took a step toward her, and Heeseung forced herself not to step back. Being this close to Jaeyun again was terrible for her heart. It was pounding hard, and thanks to her vampire senses, she could feel Jaeyun’s blood rushing faster through her veins as well. Thank God, at least I’m not alone.
“For you, my mind was never in the right place anyway, was it, Heeseung?”
“What? When did I ever say such a thing?”
“You didn’t need to say it, I could tell you were tired of me. But you’re too cowardly to say it to my face.”
“What? I… I’ve always been honest with you.”
Jaeyun moved even closer now, their chests brushing against each other. Heeseung pressed her lips together and held her breath. What had she eaten last? Did she smell good? As Jaeyun stared at her through long lashes, Heeseung swallowed again and again.
Someone save me.
“Honesty and you? Seriously?” Jaeyun scoffed, shaking her head in disbelief. “You’re the biggest liar I’ve ever seen in this kingdom, Lee Heeseung! Don’t dare to talk about honesty! Don’t dare!”
The hall fell silent as death with her shout. Jaeyun’s pale hands landed against Heeseung’s chest in small, frantic punches.
“That’s why I hate you. I hate you so much!”
Heeseung tried to understand why she felt happy. The girl she was madly in love with was telling her she hated her, yet she felt so absurdly joyful she could have laughed and embraced everyone in the room. Was it because this was the first time she had been this close to Jaeyun in a month? Close enough to kiss her golden hair, close enough to wrap her arms around her and slip her hands against that silk shawl… Found herself wondering about the lace underwear Jaeyun was wearing beneath her gown.
“Miss Jaeyun, we…” When the man started again, Heeseung couldn’t take it anymore. She pushed him away, almost throwing him. The man stumbled in shock, but Heeseung didn’t care, turning her eyes back to the dazzling lady in the navy gown.
Unaware of all this, Jaeyun took another sip of her wine.
“Do you know why I hate you the most… I can’t even be angry with you. But I hate you, I swear. I hate everything about you.”
“Jaeyun…”
“Don’t call my name! Why did you come here? Why? Tell me!”
“I don’t understand you…” Heeseung began, her voice trembling.
“What do you understand anyway? Nothing! You don’t understand a single thing!”
Heeseung remained silent. She needed to get Jaeyun out of there without drawing more attention, but her brain felt frozen. Feeling Jaeyun’s body pressed against her had thrown off all her balance. She realized she hadn’t changed at all. She was still that miserable, lovesick fool in front of her.
“Why are you acting like this right now? You’re the one wants a break, you—”
“And you just accepted it!”
Heeseung looked at her in shock. There was a flickering expression in those amber eyes; her lower lip trembled. No… she shouldn’t love this. The thought that Jaeyun was suffering just as much shouldn’t have made Heeseung this happy, yet in that moment, it did. Ever since the separation, Jaeyun had appeared so radiant, so unbothered, that Heeseung had convinced herself this was for the best. But seeing her lose control like this, for some reason…
“You know what?” Jaeyun’s voice rang out, wearing a sharp, mocking smile. “I’m glad you accepted. I got to see your true face, I’m lucky, huh? I’m only sad about the time I’ve lost.”
Heeseung could feel the eyes of the entire ballroom boring into them. The nobleman she had struck earlier had scrambled to her feet. As she walked back toward Jaeyun, Heeseung felt a cold, dark fury blooming in her chest—a rage she had never known in all her life.
The veins on her pale face became prominent. She frowned, letting out a deep sigh of frustration. I had enough. She no longer gave a damn about propriety or the gossiping court. She strode toward her with decisive steps.
Heeseung stood before Jaeyun for a brief second, too brief for their gazes to lock. Then, in a single swift motion, she swept Jaeyun off her feet and slung her over her shoulder. Don’t draw attention, in your dream. She quickened her pace, ignoring the gasps of the nobility. She wrapped her arm firmly around Jaeyun’s hips, holding the layers of her silk gown down to preserve her modesty as she secured her on her shoulder. She carefully lowered her and gathered her into a bridal carry, cradling her against her chest. When Jaeyun’s hand found the nape of her neck, Heeseung faltered. She almost collapsed. Having her body so close after a month of exile, her touch burning against Heeseung’s skin, made her head spin.
Jaeyun squirmed in her arms, grabbing at the back of her neck and trying to push her away, but Heeseung was stronger.
“What do you think you’re doing?! Let go of me!”
Feeling Jaeyun’s slender fingers at her nape washed another wave of embarrassment over Heeseung.
“This place is not right for you.”
“And you are the one who decides that? Who do you think you are?”
Heeseung swallowed again. “Right now, just an acquaintance trying to save a drunk lady from a scandal.”
“Then why are you angry?”
“I’m not angry.”
“I can see that.”
“Just be quiet, Jaeyun.”
She actually fell silent. Heeseung stepped into the cold corridor, then saw Jaeyun bow head in embarrassment. Was the flush on her cheeks from the wine?
“You were never like this. Speak in this tone, boss me around like this… This is so...” Her eyes drifted to Heeseung’s lips. “I like it.”
Heeseung was looking at her with disbelieving eyes now. But Jaeyun just smiled, and continued. “I like it when you get angry at me. Seeing that look on your face... it felt real.”
“Is that so…” Heeseung couldn’t find the right words. What was she supposed to say in this situation? When silence fell, she licked her lips and gained courage.
“What was that back there?” she whispered. “Looking for the most attractive person?”
Jaeyun’s downcast face lit up with a smirk. “Yes! Thanks to you, I realized I needed to move on. So I decided to take action right away.”
Heeseung murmured thoughtfully, her jaw clenched so tight it ached.
“Wasn’t that a bit direct? I thought you’d want a more emotional meeting.”
“No need. We know what happened when I gave my heart to someone.”
Heeseung swallowed hard. For some reason, she felt a twisted sense of relief.
So she isn’t thinking about anything serious. With anyone.
“But I don’t know…” Jaeyun went on. “I mean, if we’re compatible, I’d like to continue.”
Suddenly, Heeseung bounced her on her arms, and Jaeyun reflexively clung to her neck. “H-Hey!”
Grinning at her momentary fear, Heeseung pressed Jaeyun’s body closer to her own, the scent of lilies and wine intoxicating her.
“Exactly,” was all she could murmur. Despite the fire consuming her from within, she spoke in a cold voice. “You should continue. You should be happy. It is best to move on with your life. Exactly, exactly.”
Fuck your moving on.
Jaeyun giggled, her anger seemed like it vanished. She swung her legs joyfully. “I am so glad you reacted like that, Heeseung. Truly. I thought you would be jealous, but I am relieved now.”
“Why would I? I told you, I hate selfish people. I don’t want you anymore.”
“Oh, I can see that too.”
Jaeyun laughed again. The hurt tone she had a moment ago was gone, replaced by mockery and confidence. She was at her most dangerous. Heeseung remembered how, she would hunt her down like this. She would never stop until she got what she wanted.
And she wanted her not to stop again.
“You carry everyone you don’t want in your arms? It’s your hobby or something?”
She took a deep breath but remained silent. When they passed all the people and reached the corridor with the fire escape stairs, Jaeyun stirred in her arms. Without removing her hand from her hip, Heeseung opened a yellow door with her other hand and went inside.
Heeseung laid her down on the bed by the wall. She looked up and saw a puzzled expression on her face. When she stepped back and leaned her back against the door, that expression turned into a slight shock.
“What are you doing? Why did you bring me here?”
She opened the white box on the table by the side. When she found what she was looking for, she swallowed hard. Sleeping pills... She took one in her palm. Just in case. A moment later, she popped it into her mouth and hid it between her teeth.
“So you can rest.” Heeseung replied briefly.
Jaeyun sat up on the bed, crossed her legs, put her hands on her chin. She watched her with a smirk, and she looked away.
“Rest? Is that why you caused a scene and carried me in front of everyone? So I could rest? You’re so boring, Heeseung.”
“I…”
“But that’s not what I want.” Jaeyun fidgeted with her legs on the bed, looking idly. “I didn’t come here tonight for that. I want to have fun.”
“Have fun?”
She stood up. Heeseung watched her with narrowed eyes. A mocking expression settled on her face, a sly gleam passing through her eyes.
“Yes. After all, I was looking for the most attractive person to spend the night with.”
“Spend… the night?” Trying to process what she heard, she tilted her head slightly to the side but didn’t break eye contact.
When she saw her smile, her hands began to tremble again. She couldn’t imagine it. No, she couldn’t breathe when she tried to imagine her with someone else. Why was she talking so casually? So annoying. Jaeyun flicked her straightened brown hair back. She adjusted her black corset and came to the door, but Heeseung didn’t move, just blocking her way.
She pressed her lips tightly together. Closed her eyes and opened them again. She seemed to be trying to control her anger, and damn, she was so adorable like that. Lifting her head with determined eyes, Heeseung licked her lips.
“Get out of my way, Heeseung.”
She kept staring at her without saying a word, forcing herself to remain unresponsive.
Jaeyun signed. Then smiled again.
“Well… You can’t do this. You can’t deprive me of my fun. If you won’t entertain me, you can’t stand in my way.”
Heeseung’s jaw tensed. “That’s what you always do? Come here to have fun and sleep with some random bastard?”
Every word came out like a snake hissing. Finally, I lost it. She couldn’t control her tone, but Jaeyun was smiling. No… Stop messing with my mind. Stop manipulating me into things I shouldn’t do.
“And why are you asking? Why do you care?”
“I don’t care.”
Heeseung replied quickly. But her mind was somewhere else. Oh… Her black high heels suited her very well. She imagined her kicking her with them, tearing her black lace stockings with her teeth, sticking her head inside Jaeyun's skirt and strangling herself...
My fucking brain, I’ve completely lost it.
“Then stay away from me. Let me have some fun.”
When she forced the door handle, a few veins stood out on Heeseung’s forehead.
You really want to leave me? Again? Was she going to escape her and run to one of those bastards? Was she going to kiss one of them and...
She couldn’t take the fucked-up scenes playing in her head any longer.
“I’m talking to you, Heeseung! Step aside!”
Her left hand grabbed her by the hips, lifting up, then aggressively pinning Jaeyun against the wall.
“Wha…”
Heeseung pressed her lips against Jaeyun’s to erase the scenes in her mind. Her other hand caught her chin, urging her closer. Her damn soft brown hair was tangled around her fingers. Fuck, I missed this feeling so much. Her body tensed, inhaled her scent, breathing for the first time. As her head began to move back and forth, she felt her arms snake up around her neck. Her mouth parted wider. Heeseung wanted to smile triumphantly as she pushed the sleeping pill toward her tongue. You can’t go to those damn arseholes anymore. Her hand slid from her chin to the back of her neck, their bodies meeting. Her small breasts touched hers, her hands shaking… Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck. Heeseung held her with a hunger as if her life depended on it.
I missed you so much. So much, so much, so much, so much. Someone save me, someone stop me.
Shifted her higher to adjust her position, their lips breaking just long enough for her to look at Jaeyun. She was breathless. The damn pink lipstick smudged from her lips. Her stupid, confident expression gone.
“Heese...”
Heeseung forgot every truth as she kissed her again. Her whole body trembled. Every fiber quivered with the longing for the body she had been away from for months. That moment couldn’t be real. She must have fallen into another fucking dream.
Otherwise, what was she doing here?
Well… Jaeyun could have given her another chance; her beautiful girlfriend was merciful, but... Should Heeseung take advantage of this chance? How could she be sure she wouldn’t hurt Jaeyun again? She didn’t trust herself; she didn’t know what to do. She was afraid of messing everything up again...
She was a fucking coward, after all.
As her demons filled her mind again, Heeseung reluctantly pulled her lips away from hers. She took her hand off her face and placed it on her hip. She licked her lips. The taste of her lipstick drove her wild. Looking at the thin saliva between their lips, she wondered what the hell she was doing.
I'm not a coward.
“Heeseung...”
Jaeyun whispered. There was a compassionate look in her eyes; her mocking tone was gone. Her breathing was still uneven, and she spoke with difficulty.
“Why are you… like this? We... can’t we talk? Please, talk to me. Let’s talk about what happened to us. Please. Don’t run away from me. Don’t just say sorry. Shout at me, get angry at me, please!”
Unfortunately, Heeseung didn’t feel like talking much. She missed Jaeyun, but she didn’t seem able to get over how her girlfriend easily calling her a damn coward.
I want to punish her.
“Enough?” she whispered, and Jaeyun’s eyes widened, looking at her in disbelief. “Satisfied now? You still want the others?”
“What? That’s all you care about?”
She swallowed hard at her hurt tone, but remained silent. Jaeyun swallowed too. Then she looked at her with a determined expression.
“Okay. I... No.” Her fingers began to stroke her mauve hair. “I want more. I want to have sex. What about it?”
Heeseung smiled. Yes, Jaeyun wanted to continue her stupid game, but she had no patience left. She put her other hand between her legs, made her blink rapidly.
“In this state?”
“You... of course, you sensed this. That’s why you told me to rest?”
Not answering, Heeseung drew her to her chest, carrying her in her arms again. In a few steps, she reached the bed and laid her back down on her back. Her hands left her hips, falling into the void. It was a crazy feeling, but she quickly got used to her warmth again.
Of course, I’ll get used to her. In the end, she’s still mine.
When she tried to pull away, Jaeyun grabbed her arm. “Hey… You can’t leave me like this.”
“You’re on your period, just rest.”
“I don’t care. I want to do it, I’m okay with it, please, Heeseung…”
Heeseung swallowed again. She keeps saying “please” a lot lately. Why is this so attractive?
“Well, I’m not okay with it. Just rest.” she leaned back against the wall again, arms folded. Jaeyun stared at her in shock.
“Are you serious?”
She scoffed. Shaking her head in disappointment, her hands moved down from her waist. She slipped her fingers under her dress, and Heeseung’s eyes widened.
“What the hell are you doing?”
“Oh, forgive me. I’m a little aroused. Maybe someone shouldn’t have kissed me like they were trying to reach my soul.”
She turned her eyes to the ceiling, closing them. As her hips began grinding against the sheets, Heeseung felt her throat go dry.
She crossed her legs, trying not to pay attention to the throbbing. She couldn’t be watching this. Fuck, no wet dream had ever been this beautiful. Jaeyun’s other hand wandered up her navy-blue dress. When she slipped beneath the neckline and began caressing her breasts, her moves quickened, her hips lifting and dropping. Her breath grew heavier.
Heeseung swallowed for the last time.
She came back to the bed, made her open eyes. When Jaeyun grinned, she realized once again how easy she was for this mesmerizing smile. Jaeyun always won her over; she was so weak against her stupid games. She played her like a fiddle, got inside her mind and threw all her balance off.
Heeseung sat on the bed, placed her hands on her knees. As she spread her legs apart, her eyes were on hers.
“Is my tongue enough?”
Jaeyun’s smile faded. “What?”
Her fingers wandered over her short-thick legs. She squeezed her skin lightly. It seemed like Jaeyun gained weight over this month, so… more flesh to bite into.
“No!” she yelled and shifted up on the bed. “You can’t touch me after saying you don’t want me! You have no right, okay? We need to talk first, then...”
“But you’re aroused. Isn’t this more important right now?”
“I’ll take care of it myself or find someone else.”
Heeseung lifted her chin, staring at her coldly.
“You didn’t answer me. Is this how you always do? Hm?”
She pressed her lips against her thigh. Wanting to feel the flesh beneath the lace, she tugged at the stocking with her teeth. When that wasn’t enough, she easily tore the fabric with her fingers. Jaeyun stared at her torn stockings.
“What the…”
“You went to damn galas and sleep with people whenever you got bored? Is that right? How many people, Jaeyun? Give me a number. The more, the better. Don’t tell me you only slept with one bastard.”
Jaeyun fell silent. Then she suddenly laughed. Heeseung was sure she didn’t say anything funny; she was dead serious, but watching her laugh dispelled some of her anger.
“You tell me first, why do you care?” she was still smiling, sounding amused. “You didn’t look for me for a month, never came after me. Didn’t even say anything. What’s wrong with me moving on with my life? Didn’t you move on too? How many women, Heeseung? Give me a number. Were they all silent, submissive types?”
Heeseung’s fingers roamed over her skin again, now exposed by the tears of lace stockings. She tried to grasp the reality she was back in her sweet paradise. The tastiest flesh was in her hands. So Jaeyun’s words seemed ridiculous.
“You think I have the ability to look at someone else but you?”
“What?”
Her full lips, smeared with smudged lipstick, remained open. What was this girl surprised about? Wasn’t she aware of Heeseung’s terrible state?
You idiot, what did you expect? But at that moment, she was angry. She had been suffering for a month and the fact that it went unnoticed annoyed her. She wanted to be heard, to be known.
To be seen by her. Again.
“Do you really think I could ever look at someone else?” she put a tiny kiss on her knee, slowly slid up the bed. “You think I haven’t tried? Fuck, I tried everything, Jaeyun. I did everything to forget you. I tried everything that would distract me. But it doesn’t work. Whatever is inside me, it wants you. It wants your scent, your voice, your heart, your mind, your everything. As long as I breathe and think, I’ll keep wanting you. It’s not in my hands, don’t blame me. You are the one in control. You’re always there, I just can’t get you out. Why don’t you free me? What did you do to me? How do you have so much power over me? I’ve come to know nothing but you… You...”
She climbed on top of her. Pressing her wrists into the sheets, bringing their faces level. She cupped her chin and squeezed it. As she stroked her lower lip with her thumb, she seemed to be in a trance, her gaze dazing.
“You… ruined me.”
Heeseung leaned down and kissed her again. She had missed this so much, lying in that stupid bed, with Jaeyun’s warmth was beneath her. As the heat from her chest spread through her body, she pressed her forehead against hers. Once again, Jaeyun wrapped her arms around Heeseung’s shoulders. Everything about her was gentle and sweet, every touch burning her. Heeseung would have given her life for this moment. For Jaeyun to always stay this close.
“Didn’t you want this?” Jaeyun smiled and ehe just looked at her lips helplessly. “You wanted me to ruin you. Let me do that again, Heeseung. Give me one more chance, I... I’ve changed. Everything will be better, we can do everything right. I know we can do it. I... I’m sorry. Please forgive me for everything, I’m so sorry.”
“What?” Heeseung stood in shock. Her hands still unconsciously stroked her knees. “Why are you sorry? You shouldn’t be. I’m sorry. I’m to blame...” Heeseung suddenly felt her anger subside. “You’re right, baby. I’m a coward.”
“No, that’s not…”
“You deserve better than me. You should stay away from me.” she swallowed, rested her forehead on Jaeyun’s kneecap, whispering desperately. “Please. Stay away from me.”
“No, never, Heeseung.”
Jaeyun said in a determined voice, Heeseung was calculating how much longer she would be defeated in this battle.
“I’ll never let you go. I won’t stay away. You’d better get used to it. You are mine, you’ll always be mine.” Her gaze wandered across her face, her pupils dilating. “I’ll keep ruining you. You’ll never escape me. No. I won’t allow it.”
Heeseung’s eyes narrowed, she slid down the bed and sat at the edge. Then she started caressing her legs again. She had completely torn her sock and reached her underwear.
“Wait!” Heeseung held back her pain that was eager to spill out. She shouldn’t show her feelings to dear Jaeyun. She shouldn’t take advantage of her compassion. Right? She didn’t know anything anymore, her heart was in turmoil. On the one hand, she wanted to be angry with her, but on the other hand, she also just wanted to wrap her arms around her tiny body. She couldn’t think straight.
“Just have fun, Jaeyun. You said it yourself. That’s what you want, right?”
Jaeyun pressed her lips together. “Heeseung… let’s not do this. I… I’ve changed my mind. Let’s talk, let’s…”
Jaeyun fell silent when she tore her panties too. She licked her own lips and looked at the sight before her. Hesitantly, she touched her clit with her index finger. Jaeyun reacted immediately, her belly rose. Heeseung swallowed hard. Someone help me keep my sanity. It might take a while for the sleeping pill to take effect, until then...
She continued to rub her clit as Jaeyun let out a soft sign. She took a deep breath and bent down, this time pressing it with her lips. Oh, this taste. She wanted to bite her warm, sticky flesh. Suppressing her desires, she began to lick gently. When Jaeyun started trembling, she pinned her legs to the sheet without moving her face from her vagina. She took her clit into her mouth and sucked.
After a while, a few drops of blood began to flow. Heeseung pulled back and looked at the sight. Damn. Bending down again to lick the dripping blood, she wrapped her arms around her hips and pressed her completely against her face. Stuck her tongue inside her wet vagina, felt the warm, sticky blood more. She couldn’t bear for even a single drop to go untasted by her, wanted everything, to feel every bit of her. Never waste anything came from her body. As the drops continued to flow, Heeseung’s hunger grew. Fucking red. Lifted her head slightly, licked her own lips, so that she can taste her blood better.
Jaeyun was watching her with open mouth, stunned. Heeseung leaned down again, this time rested her forehead against Jaeyun’s tanned thigh and closed her eyes for a moment. Then kissed her inner thighs slowly, took her flesh between her teeth as if wanting to reach deeper. As she sank her teeth into Jaeyun’s flesh, the warmth of blood spread through her mouth. Her lips, stained with Jaeyun’s period blood, now sucked her skin with pleasure while drinking the veins in her legs. Jaeyun’s stifled scream made her sink her teeth deeper. Deeper, deeper, deeper. Heeseung needed to get under her skin. To feel her reality again. Her lips were practically one with Jaeyun’s skin, she wanted to sink her teeth in until they reached her bones, but she had to stop when she felt her hand in her hair.
“It hurts... calm down...”
Heeseung lifted her darkened eyes and glanced at her lover.
“Didn’t you say you liked it...” Lying lightly on the bed, licking Jaeyun’s ears, her beautiful lover moaned softly. “Now why are you telling me to stop?”
“I…”
She hadn’t seen Jaeyun this helpless in a long time; in fact, this might have been the first time. She was usually the playful one, but this time Heeseung had no intention of leaving it to her. She wanted to devour her completely. She didn't know what had gotten into her, but this time she wanted to be the one in control. She wanted to remind Jaeyun of something. Who she belonged to, and who she would belong to from now on.
Me, only me.
Leaning down again, she caressed her kneecap, feeling her bones, pressing her lips there. She planted tiny kisses on it before bending over the bleeding vagina again.
“Why… why are you going this far?” Jaeyun stirred slightly. “Heeseung. Please… talk to me.”
Oh, she has no idea. She shouldn’t have noticed how much she was enjoying that moment. If she could, she would enter her, spread through all her veins and never leave. Unfortunately, her body was huge. She wished to shrink and drown in her blood. How could this turn me on that much? The human body really was an interesting thing.
“I told you, I can’t leave a drunk lady alone.”
“Fuck your lady.”
Heeseung grinned. What’s my problem, really? She kept stroking her legs and leaned down. Utied her high heels in one swift move, pulled the sock off her foot. While kissing her toes, Jaeyun tried to pull away, but Heeseung held her tight.
“Shh, calm down.” Resting her temples on her knee, she watched her flushed face with pleasure. “No need to waste time with other bastards now. After all, I’m your ex-girlfriend…” She put her leg on the bed gently, and Jaeyun slid back on the sheets, as if trying to escape from her. So cute, so funny. Where was she going anyway?
She had nowhere to run.
“And as your ex, I can entertain you by just touching.”
When she got on top of her again, her hand wandered over smudged lipstick marks. They slipped between her lips, her warm breath met her fingers. Jaeyun began to suck them greedily. She rubbed her tongue slowly, her saliva flowed. Heeseung pulled her fingers out, sucked each one. Closing her eyes and savoring the taste, she felt as if she’d gone to another world.
“Heeseung...” Jaeyun stared at her, mouth agape. Fuck. She tried to swallow, but damn, the sight before her was so delicious.
“What? Tell me, Jaeyun. Tell me it feels better than fucked by some random dick.” she shifted slightly, positioned herself between her legs again.
“Expect me to agree with whatever you say? In your dreams, Heeseung. You won’t get what you want.”
“You think so?” When she sank her teeth into her inner thigh again, Jaeyun whimpered. “You think I give a shit? I don’t need to hear that from you, Jaeyun.” When their eyes met, she licked her lips. “I know it feels good. I know everything about you.”
“You don’t know a shit about me, you...”
She shut her up by sucking her clit hard. Jaeyun groaned again, closed her eyes. Heeseung grabbed her black corset, pushing her down, stuck out her tongue and licked all the blood off it. Her sucking quickened, and she moaned softly as Heeseung moved in her vagina.
“Jaeyun…”
“Hmm…”
“Jaeyun… Jaeyun…”
My Jaeyun.
Her tongue explored the rugae, lips pressing the bloody opening. Then her tongue slowly moved up, sinking her teeth into her belly button. Her mouth moved up and down while her hands slowly unfastened her corset. When she touched her nipples, Jaeyun trembled.
“Ah… Heeseung…”
Heeseung inserted her fingers, burning with her heat, into her vagina this time. As she caressed her clit with the thumb, Jaeyun’s body rose and fell. Heeseung watched her with a smirk, unable to control herself.
“Ah… ah…” As Jaeyun’s moans grew louder, she could feel herself getting wet.
When she caressed her cheeks, her pretty girlfriend looked at her through narrowed eyes.
“Do you… love me?” With that hushed whisper, Heeseung knew she’d already lost this battle. Fuck it, whatever happened, she would try again. She was ready to do anything for Jaeyun.
But she wasn’t done being the boss yet; she would continue this game a little longer. So she returned to massage her clit. As she bent down again and planted a long kiss there, Jaeyun’s legs trembled.
“You... go away. I’m gonna… come.”
“Come, then.” she kept her mouth open, staring at her. “Come on my face. I beg you.”
“Fuck off, Heeseung…” Jaeyun threw her head back and laughed. “You never beg.”
Heeseung swallowed. She no longer knew what she was doing or what to say. She sucked her clit again, filling it with more saliva, and Jaeyun’s laughter stopped. Her hands tugged her hair harshly. She was trying to push her away, but it was in vain.
“Come, Jaeyun.” Heseung whispered in a commanding voice, squeezed her hips tighter, pressing her nose against her outer lips.
“I won’t, go away.”
Heeseung frowned. She stuck out her tongue and licked her clit at full speed. Jaeyun couldn’t help but moan.
“Stop, stop!” She put her leg on her shoulder and tried to push her away, but Heeseung didn’t pull her face away.
“I said come.”
“I wo… Ah!”
Her hands rose into the air as if to protest, then helplessly fell onto the sheet, her chest heaving.
“I really… hate you…”
Heeseung loosened her grip, thinking Jaeyun gave up. But suddenly, she moved with all her strength, and in an instant, she put some distance between their bodies. She was about to get out of bed, but Heeseung was faster. As she lay down on the bed, she quickly grabbed her by the waist. Jaeyun lost her balance, fell on Heeseung’s body. Her hands went to Jaeyun’s hips and led her toward her face. The little one’s eyes widened now.
“W-What are you doing?”
Heeseung couldn’t think of anything as the curves of her clit touched her chin. Fuck… why had she never thought of this position before? She could see Jaeyun’s face clearly, could be crushed under her weight, and taste her deepest place at the same time. What was this if not heaven?
“Fuck...” she whispered unconsciously. This sight was so divine. Damn, she was beautiful. In that stupid navy blue dress, with her bewildered eyes... and to witness all this with her blood on her face... I should die right now. She gently pulled her skirt aside and examined her bare vagina.
Jaeyun frowned, tried to get up, but Heeseung wrapped her long arms around her back. She caged her, continuing to press her vagina against her face.
“Heeseung... I don’t think it’s a good idea…” But Heeseung didn’t hear her, just lifted her hips slightly, positioning herself to thrust her tongue into her vagina. Her nose buried in her flesh, but Jaeyun still resisted.
“Breathe...” she whispered. “You won’t be able to breathe.”
“Better.”
Heeseung muttered. If she could breathe now, she would strangle herself with her skirt anyway. She lifted her hips a little more so that her clit was against her mouth. As her lips pulled at the sticky piece of flesh, sucking, Jaeyun’s hands were back in her short mauve hair.
“Ah!” Heeseung stopped in fear. They locked eyes as she caressed her legs dangling down both sides of her face.
This time, as she sucked a little more slowly, the fingers in her hair also calmed down. Now she was stroking gently. Yes, keep going, tell me I’m a good girl. Without taking her eyes off Jaeyun, she stuck out her tongue, barely able to move her jaw under the weight on top of her. Jaeyun just stared at her with her mouth open, her fingers now on her forehead. She began to move her hips back and forth toward her face. “Heeseung…” As her breathing grew heavier, Jaeyun rolled her eyes. A moment later, without needing her guidance, she was grinding herself against her face. “Ah… Ah…” Heeseung wanted to moan too, but her mouth was busy enough. She couldn’t even breathe, her nose was covered by her outer lips. All she saw, all she felt, was her warm vagina. That’s it. With all her weight on her face, moaning with pleasure, her vagina throbbed with need. Her jaw moved rapidly as Jaeyun was practically bouncing on top of her now, having lost control. Not only her, but Heeseung was close to lose her mind too; every part of her body swayed with ecstasy, about to melt away.
She trembled for the last time, let out a raspy breath. Moved back and forth without stopping, to cum fully, slapping Heeseung’s face with her vagina. Heeseung clenched her thighs tightly, taking her blows with her mouth open. When more blood started flowing after her orgasm, she spread her legs and buried her face deep inside.
“Stop… no… dirty…” Jaeyun bit her lips, tugging Heeseung’s hair weakly, but her mouth just opened wider; couldn’t stop trembling as she floated in this river of blood. She tried to gather the liquid spreading across her entire face and brought it to her lips. When her glassy eyes fixed Jaeyun’s beautiful face, she felt herself shaking. There’s nothing left I haven’t tasted about my Jaeyun.
After a while, the blood stopped flowing, and she lost all strength in her body. Her arms visibly trembled, her grip loosened and finally let go of Jaeyun. She was also trembling, her back pressed against the wall, almost in fear.
“You…” Jaeyun murmured while Heeseung breathed rapidly, her chest heaving. She stared at the ceiling. Slowly, she swallowed her cum and blood pooled in her mouth, then licked her dirty lips, her pupils dilating.
“God…” she muttered in awe. Did I go to heaven and back?
For a moment, only her heavy breaths could be heard in the room. When the body next to her almost fell onto the sheet, she slowly came to her senses. Jaeyun was struggling to keep her back straight, her eyes were closing. Oh. She swallowed and sat on the bed. Just as she was about to stand up, Jaeyun’s arms wrapped around her shoulders. She couldn’t resist.
“Heeseung... why… am I sleepy…”
Her gentle hands were in her hair now. Heeseung kissed her collarbone, resting her forehead on her chest, shaking her head, wanting to feel their skin touching even more… more…
She tried to speak in a calm tone. “You must be relaxed after your orgasm. Has your pain also subsided? That’s must be why.”
“No... that’s not it. This is weird, really weird. You… did you do something to me?” Jaeyun laughed slightly, attempted to sit up, but her head dropped weakly back onto the pillow. “You… did, right? You fucking lunatic.”
As Jaeyun’s eyes closed, Heeseung couldn’t find the strength to lift herself off that bed. Her eyes closed too, she enjoyed the most peaceful place in the world.
⋆.✮⋆.✮⋆.✮
Jaeyun felt a wave of warmth between her legs as she drifted awake. When she opened her eyes, she found her lover—the woman she’d been apart from for a month—bent over her. Again.
Shocked, Jaeyun pulled herself away from Heeseung’s lips. It was too much! She had never seen Heeseung this impatient, this starved. It seemed the break had worked, but Jaeyun was starting to feel uneasy with this lack of control. Well, although seeing Heeseung so possessive and crazy for the first time pleased her, she had to remind her lover who was holding the leash.
“Stop it! Right now!”
Heeseung flinched at the sound of her voice. When she looked up, Jaeyun caught her breath. Heeseung’s eyes were... pleading. Her mouth and cheeks were smeared with blood—Jaeyun’s period blood—yet she was still breathtakingly beautiful. The sight of her still devouring her put Jaeyun in a state of shock.
“We need to… talk.”
“There’s nothing to ta—”
“Enough, Heeseung! Drop the act! I know you want to talk too. You were waiting for an explanation, weren't you?”
Heeseung went quiet. Jaeyun wasn't sure if bringing it up so suddenly was a good idea, but she waited expectantly as she watched Heeseung swallow hard and sit back on the bed.
“I just… I didn’t like how well you got along with everyone. You’re like an angel to everyone, Heeseung. I’m not saying I don’t trust you, but sometimes I wanted to be the only focus of your attention. I could never tell you because I thought you’d find it exhausting. I know you hate that kind of jealousy, but today…”
Jaeyun felt a sudden rush of embarrassment. Recalling the events before she fell asleep, she blinked rapidly and cleared her throat.
“You were… exactly how I imagined. I’ve always wanted you to lose your mind over me like this. But… I love every part of you, and I never actually saw you as a coward. I’m sorry.”
“I told you, you’re not the one who should be apologizing,” Heeseung began. “Truth is… I am a bit of a coward. You weren’t wrong.”
“No, I…”
“Just listen, honey. You know how I am. I thought I wanted my own space. I thought I missed that too—being free, being single…”
Jaeyun’s heart skipped a beat for a second, but Heeseung continued in the same calm tone. “But I realized… I can’t live without you. There’s no going back to the old Heeseung. I’ve grown more used to you than I thought. I… I can’t do this, Jaeyun. Waking up without hearing your voice is hell. I mean… I’m sorry. I never thought you were selfish or dishonest. It’s just… it’s been a whole month. I didn’t know how to talk to you, and not being with you finally started getting to me. Those weren’t my real thoughts.”
“Tsk, what a shame,” Jaeyun muttered, pulling her knees up and leaning forward. She licked her lips as she noticed Heeseung’s eyes drop to her cleavage. “And here I was, wanting to punish you.”
As Heeseung’s intense gaze met hers, Jaeyun felt butterflies in her stomach.
“You’re not the only one who wants that,” Heeseung whispered. In one swift motion, Jaeyun reached out, pinned Heeseung to the bed, and climbed on top of her.
“But I’m the only one who can actually do it.” Her hands wandered over her lover’s black shirt. As she began undoing the buttons, Heeseung looked mesmerized. Her mouth hung slightly open, letting Jaeyun do whatever she pleased. Once the buttons were gone, Jaeyun pushed the fabric aside until she reached skin, her fingers finally finding those small breasts.
As Jaeyun leaned down, Heeseung wrapped her arms around her waist, pressing their bodies together until their chests collided. When Jaeyun’s blood-stained shoulder blades brushed against Heeseung’s, the blood smeared everywhere.
So dirty, so divine.
“Does this mean you accept my apology?” Heeseung asked, undoing Jaeyun's corset as Jaeyun reached for her face.
“Well, I’ll have to see just how hard you’re willing to work for it.”
When their lips met, the kiss was slow. Every movement was deliberate. They weren't rushing like they had been hours ago; they were calm.
Well, it didn’t last long.
When Jaeyun stripped off her long navy dress, Heeseung took a sharp breath. As Jaeyun leaned back down, their breasts grazed each other. She began to grind against her slowly, and Heeseung couldn't pull her lips away for even a second. Their kisses and heavy breathing merged into one as Jaeyun picked up the pace. She wanted to melt into the body beneath her, to become a single piece of flesh.
She leaned down and pressed a kiss between Heeseung’s breasts. Then, as her fangs lengthened, Heeseung looked on in terror. “Wait, Jae—”
But Jaeyun didn’t wait. She sank her teeth just below Heeseung’s right breast. Heeseung threw her head back, her eyes rolling toward the ceiling as Jaeyun continued to suck on her soft skin, trying to reach deeper.
“Jaeyun…” Jaeyun’s other hand slid slowly into Heeseung’s pants. She began to stroke her through her underwear; the warmth between her legs was so defenseless in her hands.
“What did you make me drink, baby?” As her fingers moved up and down over the fabric, Heeseung’s body lost all control.
“I…”
“Was it a sleeping pill? Did you want to get rid of me?” Heeseung moaned as Jaeyun’s hand slipped inside, circling her clit aggressively. “Answer me!”
“I… I just… didn’t want you going to someone else.”
Jaeyun’s fingers began to stroke her gently now. “Is that so?” She pressed her lips to the mark she had just bitten, giving it a long kiss. As she dragged her tongue across Heeseung’s right breast, Heeseung’s hands rose in a weak protest.
“Jaeyun…” But Jaeyun was busy. She took her breast into her mouth, nursing greedily, leaving Heeseung unable to even swallow. She didn't break eye contact as she stuck out her tongue and licked her nipple from top to bottom.
“You’re so cute, Heeseung. You can never lie; you’re just melting for me. What happened to that woman from before? Can’t find your voice? Need help?”
Heeseung’s face was flushing, her body was on fire, but Jaeyun showed no signs of stopping. As her fingers trailed down from her clit, she felt herself losing all restraint.
“You’ve finally learned your lesson, sweetheart. Looks like a month apart did you some good.”
“I… yes, it did…”
Jaeyun shifted down slightly on the bed. She lifted Heeseung’s right leg, positioning them so their heat pressed against each other. Heeseung tried to sit up slightly, but Jaeyun pushed her back into the pillow.
She remembered the first time they met... The crazy girl from the Lee family that everyone feared was actually quite friendly. She was a free spirit, rebellious, and did whatever she wanted. But when it came to Jaeyun, she turned into the most obedient person in the world. Of course, Jaeyun loved that, but today, meeting her kind-hearted girlfriend's completely different, darker side excited her immensely.
And… She had no intention of letting her go again. She wouldn't let Heeseung stay away from her either. They would clear up the misunderstandings and at the end of the day, they would make love until their bodies melted into each other and their blood mingled…
“Don’t ever keep me waiting like that again.” Jaeyun leaned in until their vaginas were touching. Before she began to grind against her clit, she whispered: “Next time, I won’t stop at a few bites, baby. I’ll drink you until you’re bone dry.”
“Sounds perfect.”
