The airport was busy, far too busy for Jimin's liking. If he were being honest with himself, he would have probably ran home if Taehyung wasn't with him. Taehyung could sense Jimin's nerves and held the older boy's hand in his own, squeezing slightly, a sign of reassurance. Everything was going to be okay.
"Hyung, you've been dating for like, over a year now? You've spoken nearly every night, and he's flying all the way from California just to see you, like damn hyung, you need to chill, he wouldn't come if he didn't like you, you know that right?" Taehyung said, humour clear in his voice, trying to brighten up the mood.
"I know, I know, but what if he meets me and changes his mind? What if he thinks I'm ugly in person, or not what he was expecting? Tae what if he's disappointed-" Jimin's whine was stopped by a finger to his lips, and Taehyung had a frown on his face which clearly meant that he thought Jimin was a fucking idiot.
"Jiminie, shut up." The elder boy opened his mouth as if to yell at the younger, but Taehyung frowned until Jimin got the message. "Look, It'll be okay, I promise. Now, can you see the arrivals hall?" Taehyung asked, quickly changing the topic.
It took them around half an hour of asking questions and a few wrong turns to finally get to arrivals, and Jimin's nerves had increased ten fold. Jimin couldn't stop tapping his foot, and when Taehyung eventually snapped at him and told him to "chill before I leave you here," he stopped, but instead began to fidget with his hands, pulling at the cuffs of his sleeves. Time was going by slowly, and it did nothing to help with Jimin's nerves. Not too long after they had been sat in arrivals, Jimin's phone lit up with a little beep, and Jimin saw a message from Hoseok.
Jung Hoseok has sent you a message.
"Jiminie!!!!!!! I just landed!!!!!! I'll see you soon, baby!!!!!!!!"
The message was followed by a series of cute, kissing emoticons and hearts and Jimin felt like his heart was going to stop. He quickly tapped back a shy emoji and a "see you soon♥♥". Fuck. Hoseok was here. Hoseok was in the same country as him. Hoseok. Hoseok. His Hoseok.
"Tae, he's here. Hoseok is here. Fuck. Tae I think I'm gonna throw up. Fuck." Jimin rested his head in his hands, and tried to steady his breathing.
Taehyung gave Jimin a gentle shove and resumed holding the elder boy's hand, pulling the boy to his feet and leading him to the front of the arrivals hall. Jimin kept his head down, and his grip on Taehyung's hand was like a vice. Taehyung's hand was his anchor, and Jimin was instantly grateful for the younger boy's presence. There was no way he could have done this on his own.
"What does he look like, Jiminie?" Taehyung asked, and Jimin showed Taehyung his favourite picture of Hoseok, making Taehyung coo at Hoseok's dimple and smile. People were starting to come out now, and Jimin's heart was racing and all he could think was fuck fuck I'm about to meet Hoseok, fuck fuck fuck fuck. He kept repeating Hoseok's name in his thoughts like a mantra. Hoseok was here and so close and holy shit. A sudden punch at his arm brought Jimin out of his thoughts and he was about to yell at Taehyung because that fucking hurt before he saw what the younger boy was looking at.
The first thing he noticed was the heart-shaped smile, the one he had seen so much on their skype chats, the one Jimin had dreamed about so much, the smile that was Jimin's own sunshine. The next thing he noticed was that Hoseok's eyes tilted up into little crescent moons and they never left Jimin's, his smile was growing wider and brighter the closer Hoseok got to him, and holy shit, Hoseok was just metres from him and he was just stood there not moving. Slowly, he moved one foot forward, unsure of whether or not he should go. Hoseok was so close right now, he was so close, and when the elder boy dropped his luggage and ran towards Jimin, Jimin ran too. He ran, ignoring Taehyung's whistle, ignoring the looks that other passengers were giving them. He ran until they collided, and arms wrapped around him tightly, as though Jimin was a lifeline. He was pulled closer and closer, no room left between them, and being in Hoseok's arms felt like home, like he was born to fit in the elder's arms. Jimin buried his head into the crook of Hoseok's shoulder and neck, and breathed in deeply. Hoseok smelt like cinnamon and it was wonderful and Jimin never wanted to move from this spot.
After what seemed like a lifetime, Jimin felt Hoseok lean back, the arms around him not loosening one bit. Jimin looked up and it was only then he realised he was crying. He couldn't make out Hoseok's expression from his blurry vision, and Jimin suddenly felt overwhelmed by Hoseok and his existence and the fact that Hoseok was right here in his arms. He couldn't bring himself to say anything, it felt as though his heart was in his throat and if he opened his mouth he'd throw up, so all he could do was bury his face back onto Hoseok's shoulder and cry. He cried and he couldn't stop because he loved Hoseok so much and he was right there with him and Hoseok Hoseok Hoseok. The elder pulled Jimin closer, a light laugh shaking his body and Jimin would do anything to hear that laugh a thousand times and more. One of Hoseok's hands moved to Jimin's hair and began stroking, softly, making Jimin relax instantly.
"It's okay, Jiminie, shh... It's okay, I'm here, I'm here, It's okay, baby shh..." Hoseok whispered and Jimin clinged onto the elder tighter. Hoseok's voice was like silk and honey and sounded so much better in person.
"Y-you're here..." Jimin squeaked, sniffling.
"Yes, I'm here," Hoseok said, and Jimin could hear the smile in his voice.
They stayed like that for a few minutes, and Jimin finally composed himself enough to stop crying and finally look up at Hoseok. Hoseok was absolutely beautiful. Jimin knew he was attractive, obviously, they'd video called enough for Jimin to know that. But up-close in person, Hoseok seemed to glow, he was stunning, and Jimin was absolutely taken in by his eyes and smile and he couldn't help but smile widely back at Hoseok. Hoseok took him by surprise by leaning in quickly, pressing a soft, chaste kiss to Jimin's lips, just a quick peck, before he pulled back and rested their foreheads together, smiling.
"I love you, I love you so so much," Jimin whispered. Hoseok responded by placing another quick kiss to Jimin's lips, longer and sweeter, and Jimin smiled into the kiss. Hoseok pulled back again, and Jimin whined a little at the loss, making Hoseok laugh a little.
"I love you too," Hoseok whispered, and pressed butterfly kisses all over Jimin's face. Eventually, they pulled away, holding each other's hands tightly, as though the other may disappear at any moment. After picking up the abandoned luggage, they turned to Taehyung to notice the other was smiling his signature box-like smile, holding his phone up, snapping a few pictures, before he spoke up, smirking;
"You two are so disgustingly cute, I couldn't help filming the whole thing! Also, Jimin, you look ugly when you cry so stop that."
