Blue Jean Baby, LA Lady

Work Text:

"Tell me again about your mother," Gamora says.

Peter's face lights up when he speaks of her. He wears his emotions nakedly, his eyes wet and a big grin splitting his face. He describes a happy, innocent childhood with his mother, telling Gamora all about Transformers and Star Wars.

Gamora had toys and stories too, and loving parents, but her memories of them are brittle and distant. Gamora was a weapon, and weapons do not cry for their parents. She can't remember her mother, so she soaks up Peter's memories.

He has his mom's smile, so Meredith must've been beautiful.
