End of the World As We Know It

Chapter Text

So, this was how the world ended, huh?  It just...blew up and my boss, Malcolm Gallant, and I were apparently some of the  best candidates for survival, so we were both sent away with a few other refugees. To where, you may ask? Well, to this place called Outpost 3, which was some school for witches or whatever. I don't know, I'm not much of a believer in magic...

Anyways, I don't really know how long I've been in here, but I have a bad feeling about what could happen next.

Let's take it from the top, shall we? My name is Archie Mason. I'm thirty four years old and I was a hairstylist before everything went boom. I have grey eyes and blonde hair with red highlights in them. Now, I happened to be stuck in an apocalypse bunker with my boss, who, yes, was THE Malcolm Gallant.

He was so attractive with his sense of style, those gorgeous eyes, oh, and that hair! Wait, I think I might've been getting a little off topic.

"Ugh, this place is so...boring!" I heard him say.

"Just be glad that your grandmother managed to get both of us, Coco, and Mallory to safety all those months ago." I said, trying to keep my spirits up. "Speaking of which, how long have we been in here now?"

He just rolled his dark brown eyes at me. God, he was so cute when he was annoyed...

"PLEASE don't mention her at this moment, Arch. Everything already sucks since we can't go outside to see if it's safe or not."

Oh right, the warden wouldn't let us leave from the moment we stepped inside this place. She gave me the creeps and not in a good way with her tyrannical rules...AND when we had to eat a person who was believed to be contaminated from the outside. Malcolm got SO sick from that while I just lost my appetite before going to get some sleep.

"And they're still playing that same song on the record player."

I pointed out to the nearby machine as Malcolm groaned even louder.

"Fuck, it's like that story about that asylum in the sixties that would play that Dominique song over and over again. Thankfully, the song changed briefly after we ate Stu, but it didn't help at all." he said.

If I remembered correctly, he was referencing old Briarcliff Manor, which was home to some guy accused of being the Bloody Face Killer, a famous journalist named Lana Winters, and some girl known as The Beast of Framingham (who, if I remember correctly, was believed to have killed her ex-fiancee's father in cold blood). I shivered a bit when he mentioned the fact that the group came close to committing cannibalism.

How were we supposed to survive in this madness?
