It had been a relatively uneventful day, or, rather, as uneventful as a day usually gets for poor Saitama when he regularly gets picked on by either the teachers or the upperclassmen. Saitama hoped it would continue to be uneventful, unfortunately, though, it was simply not meant to be.
In his dazed state Saitama forgot to look where he was going and ended up accidentally bumping into someone. Snapped out of his reverie Saitama turned to face the person he had run into, an apology already on his lips.
“Sorry about that.” He apologized nonchalantly before realizing he was talking to thin air.
“Down here asshole!” Came the harsh reply, catching Saitama’s attention.
Saitama’s gaze fell downwards to land upon a rather short green haired girl. The girl was staring up at him with a disgruntled look on her face that he was sure was supposed to be intimidating, but just came off as cute to him.
“Hey there little girl. You lost?”
Several gasps filled the air and the girl’s face flared red as she grit her teeth in anger.
“Little girl? Little girl?! ” The girl screamed, somehow starting to float upwards, “Do you know who you’re talking to?!”
“No.” Saitama answered honestly, a blank look on his face, “Should I?”
“Then I’ll tell you! I’m Tatsumaki! The world’s strongest esper!”
“Oh. Cool. So?”
“So? So? So you should show me some damn respect! You should be kneeling on the ground begging my forgiveness for bumping into me!”
“Jeez, you’re kind of a brat you know that?”
“ Brat?! If you hadn’t noticed I’m older than you!” She proclaimed, causing Saitama to finally realize that she was wearing his school’s uniform and that the color of her ribbon indicated she was a senior, “So if anyone here’s the brat it’s you! ”
Saitama simply raised an unimpressed eyebrow at her.
“I don’t really think age has much to do with it. You’re still a brat.”
“You! You- ”
At that exact point in time the bell rang, interrupting Tatsumaki.
“You!” She growled out, “You got lucky this time, but if I see you again…”
“Yeah, sure, whatever.” Saitama called out to her, already making his way to class.
Tatsumaki gave a frustrated huff before floating off in the opposite direction.
“Man, what a rude girl.” Saitama lamented, “Hope I don’t see her again.”
Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, that was not the last time he’d run into her.
