Kelikiin in the Wake
A carved rendering of a pair of kelikiin with interlaced trailing tentacles, as imagined for the story "Kelikiin in the Wake". The background is paper that was hand-marbled by Ann Alaia Woods of Aimia Artworks and then scanned and incorporated into the illustration.
A map of the main continent and the Island of Mospheira on the Earth of the Atevi, supplemental to "Connection". (Click on the image to open the full map in a new window.)
I utilized maps from the books, as well some conjecture from other fans, do to this: the source material is all available on the Maps page of the Shedijan Wiki. Note that several other landmasses of the planet are not shown here: specifically, the Southern Island, the Edi Archipelago and/or the volcanic islands Lord Geigi reports seeing from the station in the various later books of the Foreigner series. I'll be adding that eventually. Also, I should note that anything in purple is from my story and is not canon - and, in fact, I have made up everything east and south of Malguri (including the coastline directly to eastward from the Marid. Lastly, the mountains and other physical features (like the lakes) are not to scale -- went a little hog-wild with the illustration there. Thanks for bearing with me.
Aiji of the Marid Aishihai’mar, as imagined for the story "Kelikiin in the Wake".

Rao, as seen in the retinue of the Grandmother of the Edi during the "Conference at Najida".
Sigil of the Taisigi Clan
Sigil of the Taisigi clan: a stylized taihi flower centered in its span of leaves, within a circular border. The taihi is a hardy, aquatic plant native to the Taisigin Marid, and may be found floating on the waters of ponds, lakes, and hugging the shoreline in undeveloped bays of the Sea of Marid.
Machigi, aiji of the Marid, as seen in In the House of the Taisigi".
Don't be fooled by his innocent expression. The scoundrel has stolen that shirt from Duke Leto Atreides II ('Children of Dune', 2003, Jan and Theodore Pistek, Costumers).
The Seven Taisigiin
Banner from the famous Marid machimi, "The Seven Taisigiin".
Rao and Machigi, as imagined via the tabletop mini design system at HeroForge (www.heroforge.com)
