Summary
Working and living in a war-torn country isn't for the faint-hearted, but Doctor Abby Griffin is determined to do all she can to save rebel soldiers and Government forces alike. Her field hospital is on the edge of a rebel zone and life is hard. Supplies don't get through and people are dying. In the Republic's capital, United States Ambassador Marcus Kane sits in his comfortable office, trying unenthusiastically to serve the interests of his country and the US citizens in his care. Abby wants his help, but he claims his hands are tied. She's persistent, and as they grow closer, they are drawn into a world of conspiracy and corruption, which ultimately threatens their lives and exposes their darkest secrets.
