Hold me tight, don’t let go of me, please . Your hot breath grazes the top of my head, the very smell of you is intoxicating. Your arms wrapped around my fragile body hosting a fragile soul.
Jeongguk opens his eyes to come face to face with a crying Jimin. His shirt soaked with his tears, his eyes puffy holding a soft shade of red. Jimin's glossy eyes break down Jeongguk's sleepy demeanor. “Jimin? Are you okay?” Jimin wipes his eyes with the back of his hand, “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to wake you.” Jeongguk looks into Jimin's eyes with a soft expression.
The room suddenly drops in temperature even though Jeongguk is positive he is sweating from the body heat. “You didn’t wake me okay? I’d do anything for you, just tell me what’s wrong.”
Jeongguk wipes a stray tear that lies on Jimin's flushed cheeks. Jimin slowly unravels himself from Jeongguk and sits upright, Jeongguk follows the action keeping his eyes on Jimin.
Jimin slowly turns his head to look directly at Jeongguk, “Do you love me?” “What? Jimin what do you mean-“ Jimin interrupts Jeongguk's reply, “Do. You. Love. Me?” Jimin's eyes begin to water leaving him with glass eyes.
“Jimin, of course, I love you, I don’t understand-“ Jimin interrupts Jeongguk again. Jimin grabs both of Jeongguk's hands and holds them tight, he starts crying hard. “Kookie, look me in the eyes and tell me you love me. Look me straight in the eyes and tell me you want me.” Jimin's hiccups start to fill the silent room.
Jimin closes his eyes tight and tries to free himself from Jeongguk’s now tight grasp. “Jimin look at me.” Jimin's eyes close tighter and continue sobbing. Jeongguk raises his voice slightly not too much where it startles the other. “Jimin baby, look at me please.”
Jimin slowly opens his eyes and looks at Jeongguk. Jeongguks' heart breaks at the sight of his lover in a horrible state. “Park Jimin, Minnie, baby, I love you so much. You have no idea how much I want you. Now baby please, what's wrong?”
Jeongguk doesn’t rush Jimin. It takes a few minutes before Jimin could catch his breath. He slowly takes a deep breath and exhales, “I’ve just been feeling insecure lately. I noticed that I've gained a few pounds. I feel ugly and not good enough, I’m trying my best not to relapse but these past few days have been extremely difficult for me with trying to help the kids at the dance studio.”
Jimin looks at Jeongguk with soft eyes, “I wanna be good enough for you, there are so many people in the world, and an amazing and talented person like you decided to love me. I love the warmth of you. I love you. I love your morning kisses and cuddles, your sweet smile even when I’m mad at you, your gentle voice.” Jimin's eyes start to water.
Jimin shuts his eyes, “But I feel so lost and scared, even if you end up leaving me in the future, or now, just hold me, please. Is that selfish of me?”
Jeongguk's face softens and puts a sad smile on his face, “God Jimin. You are the only one I want. Your weight doesn’t mean anything, you’re the complete opposite of ugly, I don’t even understand why you would think I would break up with you. I’d be losing a big part of me, I won’t feel whole without.”
Jeongguk lifts his hands to cup Jimin's cheeks. “Be selfish. Use me. If that is what it takes for you to understand that I love you.”
Jimin starts bawling at Jeongguk's words and launches himself at him. Jimin buries his head into Jeongguk's neck and sobs. Jeongguk lets out a sigh and starts stroking Jimin's hair soothing him with his touch and his words, “I love you.” Jeongguk buries his head into Jimin's soft hair inhaling, “I love you.”
After a bit, they’re back lying down in bed facing each other with Jimin playing with Jeongguk's hands and tracing his tattoos. Jeongguk wraps his arms around Jimin's waist pulling him closer. Jimin looks up at Jeongguk and hums with a small smile. Pretty Jeongguk thinks to himself. Jimin brings one of his hands up to Jeongguk's lips and touches them softly.
Jeongguk smiles at Jimin's action and slowly leans in, his forehead against Jimins, his breath hot against his skin, their noses touching, Jeongguk slowly leans in closer.
Their lips brush against each other, not too rough but soft and sensual. Jimin lets out a small giggle and grabs Jeongguk's head and pulls him closer. Their lips tingle against one another. They slowly separate looking into each other's eyes and start to burst out into laughter.
It was just them. No one else, nothing else mattered. Just their slow breaths and soft gazes. The room was filled with silence and soon they slowly drifted off into a deep needed sleep.
Jimin wakes up to find himself wrapped tightly in a blanket. He struggles to move but fails to do so. “Jeongguk!!” Jeongguk appears at the door in a split second to find Jimin pouting at him. “Help me out of this you evil human being.”
Jeongguk chuckles at his boyfriend’s statement. “I don’t know. I kinda like you like this, now you won’t be able to run away from me.” Jimin continues to pout which makes Jeongguk slowly walk forward towards their bed.
He sits next to Jimin, “Need some help there?” Jimin groans, “Jeongguk!” “Okay, Okay.” Jeongguk slowly unwraps Jimin. As Jeongguk was about to get-up Jimin wraps his arms around Jeongguk’s neck and brings him closer.
Jimin smiles, “Good morning Kookie,” Jeongguk pulls Jimin closer by grabbing onto his waist, closing the space between their bodies. “Good morning my love,” Jeongguk wiggles his eyebrows which cause Jimin to burst into laughter. Jimin pushes Jeongguk off of him, “Chessy.” “Mh, only for you.”
Jeongguk walks out of the room while Jimin gets freshened up. Jimin meets Jeongguk in the living area and sits down right next to him. Jeongguk looks at Jimin, “Wanna go out today?”
Jimin looks outside contemplating if the weather is good enough to even go out. He notices that the snow is starting to melt, “We can. Oh! There’s this new coffee shop that opened up down the street. Tae told me it’s pretty good!” Jeongguk smiles at Jimin's sudden excitement, “Let’s go then.”
The coffee shop is only a five-minute walk from their apartment. They enter the coffee shop, and the moment the smell of hazelnut reaches Jimin's nose his eyes sparkle with excitement. Getting coffee is a treat. Considering that he has to be strict with sweets to maintain his steady figure, especially because he teaches dance lessons to a whole bunch of hyper kids. Jimin practically almost skips to the counter keeping a hold on Jeongguk’s hand. Jeongguk knows he’s whipped for Jimin, and he won’t deny it. As Jimin orders their drinks he watches Jimin with awe.
God damn, he’s adorable, Jimin pulls Jeongguk to the side after paying to tell him, “I know I’m adorable.” “What, how did you know?” Jimin scoffs and looks at Jeongguk with disbelief, “Number one, I’m your boyfriend. Number two, you had that sappy look on your face. And Number three, you remind me I’m adorable at least 10 times a day.”
Jeongguk laughs and wraps his arms around his boyfriend pulling him into an embrace, “This is why I love you.” “I know you big dummy.”
After grabbing their drinks and thanking the worker they walk hand in hand with their coffees to a nearby park. They find an empty bench and they sit down to listen to the peaceful silence. Jimin leans into Jeongguk’s side to gather some more warmth. “Kookie?” “Yes, Jiminie?” Jeongguk wraps his arm around Jimin's waist and rests his head on top of Jimin's head. “Do you remember the first time we met? I remember during that time this park was more lively.”
“Of course I remember. I think people don’t really come here as often because of how much memories it holds. Varying for everyone.” “Yeah, it’s kinda sad they’re gonna close this park down soon. Stupid industrial buildings.” Jeongguk chuckles at Jimin's comment.
The first time they met was the beginning of Jeongguk’s Junior year in high school. Jimin has been babysitting his nephew at the park and Jeongguk was on a walk with his friends. Jimin's nephew had gotten hurt trying to chase the birds which ended up with him bawling catching the attention of the whole park. Jeongguk had noticed the commotion and went to help the little kid.
Then the best moment of his life happened, he looked up to see a small petite figure running towards them, the person had absolutely beautiful features, too much to explain. The person kneels down next to them checking if his nephew was okay, “Are you okay? I told you you shouldn’t go chasing the birds.”
The person says with a soft sad expression that made Jeongguk’s heart race. Their nephew nods and at that moment the person looks up to see Jeongguk, “I’m sorry! Thank you for checking on him, I should have kept a closer eye on him.” Jeongguk stutters and jumbles his words trying to speak. The pretty person laughed and Jeongguk knew at that moment that he was going to make this boy his.
They’d continue to hold a strong gaze until the person spoke, “You’re cute you know that? I’m Jimin! Park Jimin.” Jimin Jimin Jimin Jimin, Jeongguk never memorized someone’s name so fast. They had continued to have a conversation and eventually exchanged phone numbers.
Jeongguk's body pretty much goes to jello, relaxing, but still keeping a firm grasp on Jimin. “Jiminie, I Love you a lot.” Jimin smiles and giggles, “How many times are you gonna tell me that you love me?” Jimin continues to giggle.
Jeongguk quickly replies, “Till the day we die Jiminie.” They were going to be okay, as long as they were together.
