Crayons and Tattoos

Chapter Text

Yoongi stepped out of his office with a cup of coffee in one hand, confusion clearly etched on his normally disinterested face.

In his defense, he usually has that "resting bitch face", as Jimin always liked to remind him. But today was different..

It was past 9 am already but he couldn't hear anybody bickering or laughing around his tattoo shop. Normally by this time his boyfriend Hoseok's loud laughter will be echoing in the shop at their maknae Jungkook's antics, and earlier he could swear he heard Jimin belting out a Bon Jovi song while getting the shop ready for the first appointment.

Come to think of it, the silence during this time has been going on for the past 3 days and it's time to investigate what those three are up to. It was very rare, and very, very suspicious for them to be quiet for more than 5 minutes.

"Okay, what's goi-", he started but stopped when he saw the unusual scene in front of him.

Hoseok and Jimin were sitting behind the desk at their small reception area, giggling quietly and occasionally stealing glances at Jungkook, who was uncharacteristically quiet and standing as if entranced in front of the shop's floor to ceiling glass windows, lips a bit parted and wide doe eyes staring at something Yoongi couldn't quite catch. Jungkook better not be drooling on the windows, he silently thought.

This made Yoongi even more confused as he approached the two men whispering to each other and giggling at their youngest.

"Uhhh, is there something important I'm missing here?" Yoongi started to ask very quietly, sipping his coffee and trying to catch whatever the hell it is that's rendered Jungkook speechless.

"Babe ssshhhhh, it's Kook's husband appreciation time", Hoseok answered, not even sparing his boyfriend a glance and swiping the coffee cup from Yoongi's fingers. Jimin gave a tiny giggle beside him.

Yoongi almost choked on his spit at what he heard. He gave Hoseok an incredulous look, eyebrows high up his forehead, "Excuse me, Kook's what now?"

"Our Kookie's husband appreciation time hyung", Jimin piped up, eyes turning into crescents at how wide he was smiling in Jungkook's direction. "Well technically his future husband. Kookie's love of his life still doesn't know it yet", and gave another high pitched giggle, with Hoseok pinching Jimin's arm with barely contained laughter.

Yoongi looked at the two like they have both grown insane but decided to play along and asked warily, "Well then, who is this unlucky person that Kook decided is the one?"

Hoseok gave a very bright smile and pointed to somebody coming out of the cafe adjacent to their shop on the other side of the road. "We nicknamed him the Pastel Prince. Jungkook's been staring at him every morning for the past 3 days."

At that point, Jungkook gave a very audible sigh and turned his head to follow the pale lilac haired guy he'd been staring at for God knows how long, the guy walking away with coffee and a pastry bag out of the cafe.

Yoongi just barely saw the mop of lilac hair as he passed by the corner, following Jungkook's line of sight, eyes going big and immediately blurted out loud enough for everybody to hear,

"You've got to be kidding me, you mean Seokjin hyung?"

"Hyung please!"

"But hyuuuuung~"

"I swear to God Kook-"

"Hyung please just hear me out~"

"For the last time I am not playing matchmaker!"

Horrified, Jungkook tried to tug at Yoongi's heartstrings, "Hyung this is my future husband we're talking about! Are you not concerned about my future??". Jungkook gave Yoongi his most pleading puppy eyes and his pout that he knows nobody can resist.

"Oh my god hyung please I'll never ask anything from you again, pretty please?"

"You already know his name is Seokjin, he's a kindergarten teacher, and has an ongoing love affair with pastel colors."

"But hyung that's not enough information. I need to know way more than that!"

"Because he's my future hyung, just like you and Hobi hyung." Jungkook declared confidently.

"You haven't even spoken to him you brat!"

"That's why I need your help hyung!"

"You are total opposites Kook."

"Science says opposites attract."

"You hate color, most specially anything pastel."

"I don't hate it, I just like black more."

"You're not going to let this go aren't you?"

"Never! The love of my life is waiting for me out there hyung. You're withholding the chance for him to know I exist."

"Yeah well still not gonna happen Kook."

Jungkook was about ready to cry of frustration at his hyung's refusal to introduce him to his future husband.

Yoongi sighed and massaged his temple as Jungkook stormed out of his office, making it a point to slam the door as he went out. The brat, good thing the next clients haven't arrived yet.

The maknae's whining and pleading for the better part of the day has given him a headache. Knowing Jungkook though, he knows he won't rest until he wears Yoongi down.

Oh no, Jungkook just started. Yoongi shivered at the thought.

Yoongi already regrets blurting out Seokjin's name this morning.

Damn it, there's truth to the saying curiosity killed the cat!

Jungkook was staring again at the vision at the other side of the road.

For the fifth time this week.

He's never seen anybody so beautiful and so perfect in his life.

His future husband has shoulders that could rival an ocean with its vastness (he could drown on those shoulders and be thankful for it), waist so narrow his arms can probably go around it (he can cuddle that all day everyday even if his arms go numb), lips so full and pink and most certainly kissable (he can kiss those lips for hours and not get tired of it), clear and smooth complexion (he can probably write a song about it and not get tired of hearing it on repeat), and a most gorgeous face that can rival any model or pop idol alive (hell, he'd be an artist and gladly paint that god-like face and immortalize him on canvas).

And Jungkook should not forget his candy-colored hair. How could a grown ass man have lilac hair and be so adorably gorgeous and manly at the same time?

Pastel Prince, no scratch that, Seokjin, Jungkook reminded himself that he knows his name now, has started walking down the path he takes everyday after coming from the cafe every morning. This time however he has two people with him, a tall guy with blond hair, and a slightly shorter one with brown hair and a boxy grin who was talking animatedly with the two.

Seokjin laughed at something mister boxy grin has said, his eyes crinkling at the corners and Jungkook swears his heart stopped beating.

Fuck, even his future-husband's laugh was perfect!

Jungkook could go on and on enumerating every endearing thing about Seokjin he has gathered so far when he noticed Hoseok at the corner of his eye giving him an exasperated look and pointedly clearing his throat to get his attention.

"Finally! Are you done being disgusting now?" Hoseok ambled nearer Jungkook and also stared outside the window. "I've been trying to get your attention for the past 5 minutes".

Sighing, Jungkook finally turned to Hoseok when Seokjin and friends disappeared round the corner. "Sorry hyung, I've been distracted", Jungkook smiled sheepishly and rubbed his neck, "Umm, did you need anything?"

Hoseok reached out and ruffled Jungkook's long hair, earning a whine from the younger. "I can see that. You are so whipped me and Jimin were afraid you'd get a heart attack when he laughed! Your 10 am client called to reschedule, just wanted you to know."

"Oh c'mon hyung, it's not like that. It's just that today's the first time I saw him laugh." Jungkook said bashfully, a faint blush creeping on his cheeks.

Hoseok looked at him fondly, "Right, as I was saying, you're so whipped my bunny boy. Anybody can see the way you look at him and I'm surprised you haven't made a move yet. I have never seen you act this way about a guy before. Are you sure you aren't in love yet?", Hoseok teased the younger.

Jungkook couldn't exactly formulate a response to that, so he ran away from a surprised Hoseok and passing by Jimin who was wondering why Jungkook's face was so red.

Jungkook sat on his chair in his workplace, just finished tattooing a client and remembering his conversation with Hoseok a week ago.

He had his fair share of relationships over the years, some a bit serious, some just casual flings. When he came to work at Yoongi's shop as a tattooer two years ago he was in a relationship with a guy. But that didn't last long though as he found out the guy was a serial cheater and he realized that he wasn't that serious either so he broke it off after a few months. After that he just had casual relationships with others. He dated some of them for a few weeks, but never longer than that. He's also human so he has a few hook-ups and one night stands. But those times are just for physical pleasure, no feelings involved.

Jungkook knows he looks good and can get anybody he wants. He works out, takes care of his body and face, and his arms and thighs are to die for. Not to mention his well-sculpted abs that his exes loved. When he goes clubbing with Yoongi, Hoseok, and Jimin, he always gets fawned over by guys and girls alike, falling for his bad boy looks, his numerous tattoos, and long hair tied up adding to his dark and mysterious aura.

He only has to breath and guys and girls will literally fall at his feet. He will never lack of attention if he wants it. Unbeknowst to most though, he was actually a bit shy, and that made him even more attractive to others.

So what is it with Seokjin that makes his mind go blank and feel butterflies on his stomach just by looking at him? He hasn't even spoken to him and yet this past week made him feel like a puddle of goo every morning. He didn't even spare Jungkook a glance and yet he felt breathless just by looking at his Seokjin. He never hesitated before so he wasn't sure why he was now.

He has taken to badgering Yoongi as much as he can these past few days, pleading with the older guy to get him to introduce Jungkook to Seokjin.

Yoongi has grudgingly admitted that he knew Seokjin from college and had even hang out with him a lot during that time. They're friends and on top of that he was also Mina's kindergarten teacher! Mina is Yoongi's twin sister's daughter, Yoonji. He likes to think fate was being kind to him.

He could still remember the conversation that happened a week before..

"You've got to be kidding me, you mean Seokjin hyung?"

Upon hearing that, Jungkook whipped his head to look at Yoongi in surprise. It was a miracle he didn't get whiplash at that. Hoseok and Jimin also turned to Yoongi, eyes wide and mouth gaping open.

"Hyung, you know him?", asked a very excited Jungkook and looking expectantly at Yoongi.

"Well yes, we went to college together, and he's also Mina's teacher." Yoongi explained to his stunned crowd.

"What?? Babe, how come I didn't know about this?" Hoseok all but shrieked into his boyfriend's ear.

Jimin was jumping up and down excitedly and shooting wide happy grins at Jungkook, "Oh my god Kookie, Yoongi-hyung knows him! You can ask hyung now for some intel on your Pastel Prince!"

"Okay Jimin first of all you're not a spy, and second who says I'm doing anything about it?", Yoongi drawled while snatching his coffee cup and returning to his office before the first of their clients arrived for their appointments.

"Hyung, hyung, wait!" Jungkook was running after the older wanting to talk about Seokjin a bit more.

And so began the routine of Jungkook cornering Yoongi everywhere whenever he had the chance. This has been going on for a week and Yoongi's about to explode.

"For god's sake Jungkook if you like Seokjin hyung so much why don't you go and talk to him yourself??" Yoongi couldn't take it anymore and finally snapped in his office this morning.

Jungkook muttered something under his breath that Yoongi didn't catch, "What did you say? Speak up Kook!"

"I said that m-maybe it would be better i-if y-you could introduce me since you two are friends." Jungkook stuttered in a small voice, "Umm I was thinking he might not like me or even spare me a glance since you said that we are total opposites. I just wanted to be good enough for him hyung", Jungkook explained shyly and in such a soft voice that it rendered Yoongi speechless. His eyes grew wide while looking at Jungkook who wouldn't quite meet his gaze. And so it dawned to Yoongi,

Holy shit, Yoongi thought, their baby bunny Kookie has finally fallen in love..

Chapter Text

Shit, shit, shit!

Seokjin was mentally cursing himself while checking his phone for the time and throwing it on the bed. He snatched a towel and went flying off in the bathroom's direction for a quick shower.

It was past 8 am already and he promised Namjoon and Taehyung he would be the one bringing the coffee and pastries today to school.

Plus it was a Monday. Nobody should be late for work on a Monday.

Seokjin rushed out of his bathroom after a record 5 minute shower and began haphazardly dressing himself. Fortunately he already brought out his work outfit last night to save time in the morning.

Unfortunately for him his alarm didn't go off hence he woke up late and lord he really didn't want to hear Taehyung whining in his ear that his Jin-hyung didn't bring his fancy too complicated tea concoction that he was so fond of.

Seokjin stood in front of the mirror surveying himself. He had on a pale pink long-sleeved polo shirt and dark brown slacks. Damn it, Seokjin thought, he simply didn't have the time to style his hair so he just ran his fingers through his pale lilac locks and planning to just let it dry naturally. At least it was clean and shiny, he thought. He just pushed back his hair revealing his forehead and decided this would do for today.

Time check, 8:35 am. Seokjin grabbed his bag and coat, double checking that he didn't forget anything, and ran out of his apartment to the early autumn morning.

Seokjin ran all the way to the bus stop, barely just catching it, and secured a seat near the front. He sat down panting a bit and thought at least he was lucky enough to be near the door and not get caught up with the other early morning commuters at the back.

He was so caught up rummaging in his bag for his phone that he didn't even notice the two students on the seat across from him giggling and batting their eyelashes in his direction, nor the guy seated in front openly gaping at him.

He immediately pulled out his phone and sent messages to Namjoon and Taehyung, scrolling through his social media accounts, sent a good morning message to his mom and dad, read the news for a bit, and after he finished all those he realized that he had missed his bus stop.

Seokjin, you idiot!

First you woke up late, had to take the bus since your car is under repair, and now you missed your stop. You will definitely be late at this rate!

He sighed and just walked through the street where he got off. At least he wasn't completely unfamiliar with the area. He rarely passed by this route though, maybe only once or twice since he moved to Seoul last year. Namjoon had pointed it out since this is an alternate route to the school they taught at.

It may be a longer way to get to work but if his memory serves him right there is a cafe on the way a few blocks away from his workplace. He might as well just pick up his and Namjoon's coffee, Taehyung's overpriced tea, and some pastries to share with the two.

Seokjin just wished the cafe has stocks of gourmet tea or else he will never hear the end of it.

"Hyung, why are you panting?", Taehyung plopped himself beside Seokjin and immediately rummaged through the paper bags Seokjin placed on the table.

Seokjin took the folder Taehyung brought and started fanning himself. He had half walked, half ran the few blocks from the cafe to the school just to get there on time.

Taehyung found his tea and wiggled happily in his seat. "Oooooh hyung I'm impressed, you didn't forget what I like", he leaned over and hugged Seokjin.

"Just give me a minute to catch my breath", Seokjin said breathlessly while still fanning himself.

"Did you run all the way here Jin-hyung?", Namjoon asked curiously, taking the seat in front of them and took out his coffee from the paper bag.

"Yes! Tae be a dear and get me some water", Seokjin asked the younger beside him. He feels as if his lungs are on fire. He should really put more effort to exercise, he thought.

"Okay!" Taehyung said happily and immediately got up to get some water for Seokjin.

"So what happened?", Namjoon asked through a mouthful of croissant.

"It's a long story, I'll tell you at lunch time", Seokjin answered and taking a sausage roll from the bag.

Seokjin found himself on his way over to the same cafe the next morning.

After he told the story yesterday at lunch to an amused Namjoon and Taehyung, they both had begged him to drop by again the next day.

"I like their tea, hyung. It's better than that place we always order at", Taehyung stated matter or factly while munching on his sandwich.

"Your tea, my dear young man, costs as much as a kidney. Go get it yourself", Seokjin scoffed and took a bite of his tuna turnover.

Taehyung took Seokjin's hand toward himself and took a bite of his turnover, pointedly ignoring Seokjin's protests and exclaimed, "But hyung it's too far away! I'll be coming from the opposite direction remember?"

"Yeah hyung, it's too far away", Namjoon pointed out, "I like the croissant you got yesterday too." He smiled hopefully at Seokjin, bringing out the adorable dimples that he knew Seokjin couldn't say no to.

"Please hyung, can you go again tomorrow?", Taehyung stared at Seokjin with his wide pleading eyes, and he knew they got Seokjin when he grudgingly said,

"Urghhh fine, but you two will be treating me to sushi on payday".

And as Seokjin was brought back to the present just walking around, he got to check out the street that he was not able to do yesterday since he was in a hurry.

This isn't half bad, Seokjin thought. At least he can walk to school and exercise at the same time. Bingo. He mentally congratulated himself on finding another way to avoid the gym.

Thank god he woke up early today. He even had a nice breakfast and was able to fix himself properly for work. He was able to style his hair to his liking and he felt great wearing his new light mint green sweater and tan slacks. He even caught a few guys and girls staring at him while he was busy looking around.

Seokjin chuckled lightly when a guy hit a lampost he didn't notice as he was too busy checking out Seokjin while simultaneously walking.

He knew he looked nice. No that's not it, Seokjin knew how handsome he is and he is well aware of the effect he had on people upon seeing him.

But inspite of being drop dead gorgeous, he was woefully single for a year now. He was always getting flirted at or hit on anywhere he went and had even gone on a few dates but he hadn't felt any spark with the others for him to take it to the next level.

Seokjin entered the cafe and went straight to the counter. He was glad there aren't that many people and had a small polite smile on his lips as his eyes roamed around the place. It was small but the atmosphere was pleasant and cozy, only a few tables around and strategically placed leafy plants adding to the charm of the place. Seokjin mentaĺly promised himself to come back during the weekend with a small book and tuck himself on a corner of the cafe, just reading and with a cup of his favorite caramel macchiato.

The smell of freshly baked bread and brewed coffee was making him a bit hungry again so he hurried over and gave his order to the ahjussi manning the counter.

"Good morning! One caramel macchiato, one iced americano, one green tea with jasmine, and half a dozen plain glazed donuts all to go please." Seokjin said politely with a smile.

"Coming right up!" The ahjussi confirmed his order and asked Seokjin to take a seat while waiting.

Seokjin decided to sit down and wait by the window. He dropped his leather bag on the chair beside him and took the chair closest to where he can clearly see the view outside.

He spent a few moments looking at the pedestrians coming and going, a few schoolchildren on their way to school, and even a few dogs with their owners. He trained his gaze at the shops on the other side of the road and he noticed a tattoo shop directly opposite the cafe.

That's interesting, Seokjin thought. He hadn't realized it was a tattoo shop yesterday. But he was in a hurry and didn't really pay attention and oh fuck his heart nearly jumped out of his chest and Seokjin forgot how to breath.

A hot guy was staring at him from the tattoo shop.

A really, really hot tattooed guy with long wavy hair and handsome face was dazedly staring at him by the opposite windows.

Seokjin let out the breath he didn't realize he was holding and turned around to see if somebody was behind him but nope, he was alone in that corner so hot hunk was definitely looking at him.

Trying not to be so obvious, Seokjin discretely looked back to see if he was still there and yes, the hunk was still there, intensely staring at him like he was unaware of everything else and focused only on Seokjin.

His heart was beating so fast. Seokjin felt blood creeping up to his neck and cheeks and he knew soon enough his ears would be so red. Shit! What was happening to him?

Uncharacteristically flustered, he went to the counter when he heard his name being called and picked up his order, went out of the cafe, glanced at the hunk (who was still staring at him by the way), and hurriedly walked away.

What was that all about?

Seokjin was forced to go back there again the next day, and the day after. Mr. Tattooed Hunk (he already gave him a nickname by the second day) was there by the window just staring at him. And in both days Seokjin's reaction was the same.

His heart would beat so fast and he would feel butterflies dancing around in his stomach. Seokjin also had trouble tearing his eyes away from him.

This morning though, Namjoon and Taehyung went with him since they were up early. They decided to check out the cafe on their way to work.

"Oh wow hyung this place is great!", Taehyung exclaimed excitedly, looking around the place and immediately liking it.

"I remember coming here only once before though, but the pastries are still as good as I remember it." Namjoon sat down beside Seokjin, looking around and checking out the decor.

"Uh-huh." Seokjin mumbled, only half listening to his workmates conversation.

"And they have a decent tea selection too!" Taehyung proclaimed like it was the most important thing in the world.

Namjoon just rolled his eyes at that, "At least treat us to something while we are here then."

"But Jin-hyung said it's his treat this week, right hyung?" Taehyung asked the elder sitting in front of him.

"Mmhm" Seokjin answered.

"Hyung are you okay? You seem out of it today", Taehyung inquired. Seokjin was unusually quiet. He was usually a chatterbox, always joking around and very rarely kept his mouth shut.

Namjoon glanced at him, concern starting to show on his face, "Hyung?"

Alarmed when Seokjin seemingly didn't hear anything, Namjoon scooted nearer and opened his mouth to say something, but Taehyung grabbed his arm and stopped him, his big boxy smile plastered on his face.

"What?", Namjoon asked Taehyung suspiciously.

Taehyung pointed at something outside the window and whispered, "Jin-hyung's just busy eye-fucking somebody in that tattoo shop."

Chapter Text

"Kookie!" Yoongi called from his office when he saw Jungkook passing by.

Jungkook peeked through the door and saw Yoongi with a bunch of papers and folders on his desk, "Yeah, hyung?"

"Can you go and grab lunch for the four of us? Jimin's still busy with a client and I need Hoseok here to help me sort out the books", Yoongi leaned back wearily on his chair. "You're free now right?"

"Yup, just finished about 5 minutes ago", Jungkook strolled in and stood in front of Yoongi's desk. He looked at the clock on the wall, it was only past 12 pm. They usually have their lunch around 2 or 3 in the afternoon at the latest.

"Um, isn't it a bit too early for lunch hyung?", Jungkook confusedly asked Yoongi.

Yoongi opened a drawer and took out his wallet, counting a few bills to give to Jungkook. "I skipped breakfast today and my stomach's been protesting for hours. And get me some coffee will you? I'm having caffeine withdrawal".

Jungkook gave a loud laugh at that, "Hyung, you literally walked in here with an americano not even two hours ago", he pointed out.

"Stop complaining you brat. Here take this", Yoongi rolled his eyes and thrust a handful of bills in Jungkook's direction.

Jungkook backed away from the desk, "That's okay hyung, it's my turn to buy lunch today anyway", He laughingly strolled towards the door.

Jungkook loves riling up Yoongi any chance he can get. Yoongi might look cold outwardly, but he really was just a big teddy bear once you get to know him. "You want your usual?" Jungkook paused by the door and waited.

"Sure, just hurry though." Yoongi went back to the papers on his desk. He still has so much to do before a tattoo appointment with a client later. "And don't forget my coffee or you're fired."

Jungkook laughed before he finally went out the door, not before shouting "Yes hyung, I love you too!"

What a beautiful day, Seokjin thought. The weak sunlight was shining through a few clouds in the sky and there was a mild breeze blowing about. Not too hot and not too cold either, perfect for strolling around. Seokjin might as well take advantage of it and get an early lunch for himself.

He was free for a few hours today since Namjoon and some other teachers took out the kindergarten class to a field trip in the local post office and Taehyung had an art class with the first graders at this time. Seokjin will just bring him something back for lunch later.

Seokjin was walking leisurely and somehow found himself in front of the cafe. He told himself it's because he likes the food, and the atmosphere here. And the owner is so nice (who's name he found out was Mr. Lee). Why wouldn't he come here to enjoy lunch?

He hadn't come back here for a few days since Taehyung and Namjoon caught him ogling Mr. Tattooed Hunk like a horny teenager. The teasing he got from the two was unbelievable and Seokjin promised himself not to come here for the time being.

But Seokjin still somehow ended up walking towards that damn cafe.

Of course there wasn't any other reason why he is here, Seokjin sternly chided himself. He's here for the food and the food only.

Yeah right Seokjin you liar, if you came here only for the food then why are you secretly hoping to see somebody then?

Seokjin groaned inwardly, shaking away his thoughts and marched up to the display case, mentally debating the merits of each cake on display.

He finally decided on an oreo cheesecake and a chicken sandwich for himself, and a ham and bacon sandwich for Taehyung. He moved towards the counter but stopped dead on his tracks when the cafe door opened.

There it was again, the butterflies were on a riot in his stomach.

He must have done something heroic in his previous life for the heavens to shower him with blessings.

It was a beautiful day indeed!

Jungkook crossed the road and was absentmindedly humming a random BTS tune under his breath, a small smile on his face.

He didn't bother wearing his jacket when he stepped out of the shop since he was only going over the other side of the road. He was just in his black shirt, tattooed arms on display and cut low over the front revealing some of his chest tattoos, black cargo pants, and his trusty timberlands. He also kept his hair tied up to keep his long bangs away from his face when he was tattooing a client earlier.

While walking, Jungkook was trying to remember what Jimin wanted for lunch. He shuddered to think what his chubby little fingers will do to him if he messed it up. He was so distracted with his thoughts he just entered the cafe and walked straight to the counter.

"Jungkookie! You're here early. What can I get you?", the owner, Mr. Lee, greeted Jungkook with a big smile when he saw him enter.

"Hi Mr. Lee! I'm here to pick up so-"

However Jungkook never got to finish what he was saying. How can he when he was graced with the presence of THE prince in front of him?

Fuck, Seokjin looked even better up close with no windows in between them. His skin was so smooth and flawless, perfect nose, perfect eyebrows, perfect forehead, perfect eyes, perfect everything.

And lord those lips. Those moist pink full kissable lips that has been the object of his fantasies for weeks. Jungkook unconsciously gulped while continuosly staring wide eyed at Seokjin.

"I...I.." Jungkook started saying but was unable to form anything coherent.

Seokjin was no better either. When he glanced at the tattoo shop earlier, he was disappointed that he didn't see the hunk.

And now he was here right in front of him.

In the flesh and no barriers in between. Looking like a sculpted tattooed Greek god.

Seokjin openly stared back at Jungkook. He was even more gorgeous than he imagined him. He had a perfect jawline, chiseled cheekbones, wide doe like eyes, and he even had a small mole below his lower lip.

Jungkook's features were so soft it was a stark contrast to his muscled arms, tattoos everywhere, and multiple piercings on both ears.

Seokjin felt tongue tied and his legs might have turned to jelly. It was a surprise he was still standing up.

Neither of them heard Mr. Lee, looking back and forth in confusion at Seokjin and Jungkook.

"Jungkook? Is everything okay?" Mr. Lee tried to catch the younger's attention.

With massive effort Jungkook tore away his gaze from Seokjin and gave Mr. Lee his order, dragged himself over to the chair nearest the counter and continued to shamelessly stare at Seokjin.

Meanwhile Seokjin remembered to close his mouth (that he didn't realize was open) and shuffled closer to the counter. After ordering he went to sit down a few tables away from where Jungkook was sitting.

He was so sure he was blushing by now and he was so flustered he couldn't even look at Jungkook directly. Seokjin just settled with stealing glances at him once in a while.

Mr. Tattoed Hunk didn't have a problem staring at him dead on though, Seokjin thought. That made his heart beat a little faster.

It seemed like a few hours which was really only a few minutes later that Mr. Lee has called their names to come collect their orders. Both of them approached the counter at the same time.

Seokjin grabbed the paper bag and his drink and did a double take when he saw the name printed on it.

Since when was his name Jungkook?

Jungkook was looking through the bags and the drinks when he noticed the name printed on one of them. Seokjin's name was printed clear as daylight there.

He took the drink and shuffled closer to Seokjin who was also looking confused at the drink in his hand. Shit, he even smelled so nice, like flowers with a hint of strawberry.

"Umm, e-excuse me? I-I think our orders got mixed up?", Jungkook stuttered. Get a grip you fool, he mentally scolded himself. This is your chance, talk to him like a normal person.

"You're Jungkook?" Seokjin asked, blushing even more at Jungkook's deep voice.

"Yeah, that's me. And this must be yours, Seokjin" Jungkook congratulated himself for his steady voice this time, even managing a small smile.

Seokjin. He might have had an eargasm when he heard his name.

Seokjin never thought his name would sound so sexy when Jungkook said it. He wouldn't mind hearing Jungkook calling his name over and over again.

"Here." Jungkook held the drink forward so Seokjin can take it.

"Th-thank you", it was Seokjin's turn to stutter back and held the drink to give back to Jungkook.

Their eyes met and their fingers "accidentally" brushed against each other over the drinks, taking longer time than necessary to give the drink back and both of them with soft smiles on their faces.

Yoongi went to look for Jungkook later in the afternoon and found him in the waiting area with Hoseok and Jimin.

Jungkook had this big dopey smile on his face happily chatting with them. Yoongi walked closer and immediately went beside Hoseok.

"Babe guess what?", Hoseok excitedly dragged Yoongi nearer and put his arm around his shoulders. "Kookie spoke to Seokjin hyung today!"

"Did he now?" Yoongi turned to the younger, "And?"

Jungkook gave a big sigh before answering, "He's perfect hyung", eyes dreamily staring into the distance, no doubt trying to recall their interaction earlier.

"Kookie's ready to marry him tomorrow if he can" Jimin giggled and walked over to pinch Jungkook's cheek.

"You lot are all sappy kids" Yoongi drawled boredly and turned once more to Jungkook, "You're coming with me bunny boy."

Jungkook looked over to Yoongi, "Where are we going?"

"You'll see." Yoongi started walking towards the door.

"Are you treating me to eat ramen and lamb skewers?" Jungkook asked hopefully at Yoongi's retreating back.

Both of them were outside when Yoongi rolled his eyes at Jungkook "Of course not, this is even better. We're going to pick Mina up from school."

Seokjin was walking towards Taehyung's classroom intending to chat with him a bit. School day's over and the kids were running around all over the place.

Namjoon was already outside supervising the younger kids while waiting for their parents or guardians to fetch them. He spotted Taehyung rushing over to him and shouted "Hi Jin-hyung!"

Both of them started walking outside. Seokjin has a very big smile plastered on his face, a fact that Taehyung did not fail to notice. He didn't think he stopped smiling ever since he got back from lunch earlier.

"What are you smiling at hyung?" Taehyung asked. They saw Namjoon coming over.

"Nothing", Seokjin answered, but his smile grew even wider if that was possible.

"Hyung, you have your wide something-happened-and-I'm-dying-to-tell-you smile, so spill" Namjoon observed, gently nudging Seokjin to get him talking.

"Fine. I met Jungkook today", Seokjin sighed wistfully at his friends.

"Who?" Namjoon asked clearly confused.

"Oh my god!" Taehyung exclaimed, "It's hot tattooed guy, isn't it?" Taehyung asked excitedly.

"Ahh, the guy you were ogling at last time" Namjoon chuckled to Seokjin.

"Excuse me", Seokjin protested, "I did not ogle. I was just......appreciating art"

"That's right Jin-hyung, and he was a masterpiece, am I right?" Taehyung and Namjoon were openly giggling at Seokjin.

"Mr. Kim! Mr. Kim!" All three turned around and saw little Mina running towards them.

"Hi Mina! Is your mom picking you up today?" Seokjin crouched down and adjusted her bangs so it wouldn't cover her eyes.

Mina shook her head "No Mr. Kim, my uncle's fetching me today. Can you wait with me until he comes?" She asked Seokjin.

"Aww she's so cute!" Taehyung cooed. "Go with her Jin-hyung. Me and Joon-hyung will wait for you by the parking area." Namjoon and Taehyung started walking away in that direction.

Seokjin waved off the two and turned back to Mina. He got up and offered his hand to the little girl, "So Uncle Yoongi is picking you up today?", Mina nodded, "I'd love to see him. It's been a long time since he came here. Shall we go then?"

Mina gave Seokjin a bright smile and took his hand, swinging it back and forth while walking and talking animatedly about the cat she drew in art class today. "It kind of looks like Uncle Yoongi", Mina giggled.

Seokjin gave a laugh at that "Better not tell that to your uncle".

They reached the gates and Mina immediately shouted "Uncle Yoongi! Uncle Kookie!" While waving at them.

Seokjin looked around where Mina was waving at and he saw Yoongi waiting beside his car. Jungkook was leaning casually beside him.

Wait, that can't be right.

How can Jungkook be leaning beside Yoongi?

He did a double take to check once again and his jaw dropped. Jungkook was really beside Yoongi smiling brightly at him and Mina.

Oh my god what was he doing here? Did he know Yoongi and Mina? And more importantly how many times must he die today because of Jungkook's hotness?

Seokjin nearly stumbled in his steps but thankfully reached both of them with no accidents.

"Hello Mina!" Jungkook greeted "You've gotten even prettier since the last time I saw you" Jungkook smiled brightly at Mina and she gave a cute little giggle. "Hi Uncle Kookie!"

"Hi Yoongi! It's been a while." Seokjin greeted Yoongi with a smile.

"Hi Jin-hyung! Yeah been busy lately" Yoongi smiled at Seokjin, picked up Mina and glanced at Jungkook beside him.

Seokjin finally turned and gave his full attention to Jungkook. Jungkook was already looking at him and he held his gaze, both of them had a slightly overwhelmed and dazed look and smiling wide at each other.

"Oh yes hyung I wanted to introduce someone. Jin-hyung this is Jungkook, he's my right hand man at the shop. Jungkook this is Jin-hyung, Mina's teacher."

Chapter Text

It was late afternoon on a Saturday when Jungkook bowed out the last of his clients for the day. He was hungry and dead tired, having worked non-stop from early morning and only had a few minutes for break.

Jungkook wasn't complaining though. Being busy is certainly good news and good for business. His reputation as a tattoo artist was picking up if his bookings were any testament to that, his clientele growing exponentially since the start of this year.

His unique designs have earned him quite a reputation and most of his clients now have come to learn about him usually through word of mouth. There were even a few idols who made appointments, although discretely. A few more months and he can finally pay off his student debt from art school and his trusty motorbike at the end of this year.

Jungkook tidied up his workplace before locking up and went to search for Jimin, intending to coax the older to join him for a few drinks before heading home.

He found Jimin in Yoongi's office lounging on the couch in the corner fiddling through his phone, Hoseok and Yoongi side by side sitting on the desk.

"Hey guys, what's up?", Jungkook came inside the office and plopped himself on Jimin's stomach, earning a groan and a protest from the older.

"We were just waiting for you", Hoseok smiled, "It's date night today but there's this new horror movie Jimin and Yoongi wanted to watch. You want to join us?" Hoseok asked Jungkook hopefully.

"Yeah Kookie, we know you love horror movies", Jimin suddenly sat up and hugged Jungkook's waist, cheeks squished on Jungkook's side, "Besides, I don't want to be a third wheel to these two lovebirds here."

Jungkook looked down on the octopus Jimin hugging him, "But if I go then it's like a double date", Jungkook smiled mischievously at Jimin.

"Ewww no it won't be a date! And weren't you telling me earlier you wanted to get some drinks anyway?" Jimin answered poutingly to Jungkook.

"Of course it's not a date hyung, I was just teasing you", Jungkook rolled his eyes but earned a punch from Jimin from that remark. "You're not Jin-hyung anyway."

"Oh so you're finally in that stage now? Close enough to call him by his nickname?" Yoongi finally joined the conversation, riling up the maknae and focusing on the blush creeping up on Jungkook's cheeks.

" mean I just like his nickname", Jungkook said defensively.

"Aigoo, our baby bunny is so cute. I don't think I've seen you blush before!", Hoseok cooed and approached Jungkook, pinching his cheeks like an old doting auntie.

"Hyung stop!" Jungkook whined. Hoseok was pinching his cheeks and Jimin was like an octopus hugging and squishing him on the couch.

"After the movie we can go for barbecue for dinner", Yoongi supplied. Jimin squealed in delight and jumped up from the couch, dislodging Jungkook and earning a muffled curse. "My treat", Yoongi adds and Jungkook doesn't need any more convincing with that.

"Well then you should have said there'll be free food in the first place! See you all at the cinema later", Jungkook smiled happily, with his cute bunny teeth on display.

"So you're telling me, Mina's uncle and Jungkook know each other?" Taehyung asked Seokjin with mouth full of buttered popcorn.

Seokjin nodded, "Yeah, and not only knows him. Jungkook works in Yoongi's tattoo shop." Seokjin answered, sipping his soda and looking around for Namjoon. He was taking his time looking for candies to bring to the movies.

"Wow hyung, small world huh?", Taehyung gazed wide-eyed at Seokjin, "But that's good though right? Now you can actually be done with just eye-fucking and move on with actual in between the sheets fucking" Taehyung said matter of factly and wiggling his eyebrows to Seokjin suggestively.

It was unfortunate that Seokjin chose that time to take a sip of his soda because Taehyung hasn't even finished his sentence when Seokjin started choking on his drink. He started to forcefully pat Seokjin's back.

"Tae!!", Seokjin gasped and when he was capable of speaking, "What the actual fuck??"

"What did I miss?" Namjoon joined them outside the store, busily trying to open a packet of peanut m&m's and ignoring a still choking Seokjin.

"Jin-hyung's fucking Jungkook", Taehyung answered promptly.

Namjoon looked up to Seokjin with a scandalized expression, "What? When did that happen? You said you just got properly introduced yesterday?" Namjoon asked question after question.

"Nobody's fucking anybody!", Seokjin exclaimed. He was sure his face was ready to explode by now with how red it is.

"So what's the point of being all moony eyed over him these past few weeks if you don't want to fuck him then?", Taehyung challenged Seokjin.

"I didn't say I don't want to", Seokjin answered Taehyung while wiping his mouth with a napkin.

"Ahh so you do want to fuck him", Namjoon answered knowingly and Taehyung nodded solemnly.

"Of course I do! I mean no, no I mean yes... well.. maybe eventually, who knows? I don't even know his how he likes his eggs in the morning!", Seokjin exclaimed defensively. "Can we please talk about something else?", his voice had a hint of desperation in it.

"Relax hyung," Namjoon took pity on him, "You've been single for a year now so there's nothing wrong with having a bit of fun."

"Yeah hyung we only want you to be happy, but don't forget safety first!" Taehyung reminded Seokjin while still patting his back and he all but groaned in his hands.

Seokjin mentally reminded himself to get new friends.

Also, will he be content with having 'just a bit of fun' with Jungkook though?

"Kookie! Kookie!" Jimin whispered to Jungkook excitedly. They were busy buying popcorn and soda while Yoongi and Hoseok had gone to get their movie tickets.

"What?" Jungkook was busy checking his instagram account, not even bothering to look up from his phone.

"Jeon Jungkook!" Jimin whispered loudly one more time, his chubby little fingers constantly tugging at the sleeve of his jacket.

Jimin calling Jungkook by his full name usually meant that he has very exciting news, or that the older was upset about something. Jungkook looked up immediately , "What hyung?"

But Jimin was not looking at Jungkook. Instead he was focused on somebody near the entrance to the cinema. Jungkook thought he looked vaguely familiar.

"I think I'm in love" Jimin answered quietly, "Did you see Adonis standing over there?" Jimin asked dreamily while Jungkook snorted. Both Jungkook and Jimin were looking over the tall guy with brushed up blonde hair, black framed specs perched on his nose, and struggling to open what appears to be m&m's candy. He gave the candy wrapper one last forceful tug and the m&m's started to fall all around him.

Jimin gave a cute little giggle while Jungkook laughed at the tall guy's misfortune. He got their popcorn and soda and turned back to Jimin.

Tall guy was not alone anymore though. Two others joined him picking up the candy, one sith brown hair, and the other had lilac hair wearing a cream colored cardigan, baby blue shirt, dark denim jeans, and white sneakers. Oh shit there was no mistaking that hair and pacific wide shoulders.

Seokjin was at the cinema looking even more drop dead handsome in his casual clothes.

Jimin might have also noticed Seokjin with the way he was nudging Jungkook with his elbows, occasionally giving the younger some sly looks once in a while. Jungkook couldn't even say anything with how his heart started beating faster and how hard it was to breath. Since when did it become so hot all of a sudden?

Jungkook was thinking over what to do next when him and Jimin noticed Yoongi and Hoseok approaching the group. Yoongi might have introduced them already when they all started shaking hands. Jimin decided it was time to join them and dragged Jungkook by his hand even before he had enough time to calm his rioting heart.

"And here's Jimin and Jungkook" Hoseok said brightly when they were near enough. Seokjin had to control the butterflies in his stomach when he turned to where Hoseok was pointing at. Jungkook was here with them too?

Jungkook really had to come to the cinema looking like a 5 course gourmet meal in his black leather jacket, white low cut shirt, black ripped skinny jeans, black boots, with long curly hair and several hoop earrings of various sizes on each ear.

He looked good enough to eat and so... fuckable.

Shit! Taehyung has started rubbing off him now. He scolded himself in his mind, control yourself Seokjin!

"Jimin, Jungkook, these are Jin-hyung, Namjoon, and Taehyung. They are all teachers at Mina's school" Yoongi has made the introductions since Seokjin was apparently having a mental crisis and incapable of speech for the time being. He just stood there staring at Jungkook like a dumbass.

"Hello!" Taehyung said brightly and shook Jimin's and Jungkook's hand.

"Hi" Namjoon said shyly while he also shook their hands, eyes wide while looking at Jimin who was smiling at him brightly making his eyes look like crescents. Seokjin swears he heard Namjoon swoon.

"Nice to meet all of you! I've heard a lot about you Jin-hyung" Jimin piped up excitedly.

Seokjin looked at Jimin so confused and Jungkook have never wanted to kick Jimin's butt than in that moment.

"Well the movie's about to start, let's go in then!" Yoongi said to the group and started walking to the entrance with the others. Jimin took the popcorn and soda from Jungkook and started walking beside Namjoon and immediately striking up a conversation with him. Somehow everybody paired up and only Jungkook and Seokjin were left.

"So um, hyung, it's nice to see you here." Jungkook shyly remarked. It's hard to think of something to say when his future husband was standing in front of him.

"Oh yeah. I just planned to stay at home but Taehyung and Namjoon dragged me here." Seokjin was proud at how steady his voice was.

"I'm glad they dragged you here", Jungkook muttered under his breath.

Seokjin couldn't catch what Jungkook said, "I'm sorry I didn't hear what you said?"

"Oh I just wanted to know if you liked to get anything else?" Jungkook scratched the back of his neck, looking at anywhere but Seokjin.

"He likes sweet things", Taehyung suddenly materialized beside Jungkook and whispered in his ear but loud enough for Seokjin to hear. They thought Taehyung had gone ahead with the others. Taehyung smiled innocently and walked on towards the cinema holding a fresh bucket of buttered popcorn.

Jungkook gave a wide smile at that and Seokjin thought how come he hadn't noticed his cute bunny-like smile before. "Wait for me hyung, I'll just go get you something."

Jungkook walked over to the shop and got every flavor of Snickers bar on display and Seokjin may have fallen more for the adorable tattooed guy.

Seokjin did not like horror movies at all. Not one bit.

He argued with both Namjoon and Taehyung earlier but since it was two against one, plus one showing off his dimples and the other pouting at him, and the two little shits know he couldn't resist them at this state, he had no choice but go with whatever movie they had decided on.

The cinema was almost empty and since Seokjin and Jungkook were the last to enter, they took seats beside each other near the end of the row.

Seokjin jumped and cringed the entire time and at some point even clutched at Jungkook's arm when there were scary scenes being shown. Jungkook thought Seokjin was really adorable even when he was almost crouching in fear in his seat. His breath hitched in his throat when he felt Seokjin gripping his arm during a particular scary scene.

Seokjin realized he was holding on to Jungkook's bare arm (he had taken off his leather jacket at some point) and stared at him wide eyed while withdrawing his hand so fast.

"I'm sorry, I just really hate horror movies", Seokjin whispered. He was really glad it was so dark so Jungkook couldn't see his blush and his red ears.

Jungkook gave a small chuckle and decided to be bold for once. He prayed he won't get rejected. He reached over and took Seokjin's hand in his, intertwined their fingers, and leaned over, "It's okay hyung. You can grip my hand if you feel scared. I'm here", and gently squeezed Seokjin's soft hand nestled in his.

Seokjin looked over their intertwined hands and raised his eyes to meet Jungkook's. They both stared at each other's eyes for more than a few heartbeats and smiled softly before turning their attention back to the movie.

They walked hand in hand out of the cinema after the movie finished. Everybody noticed it but surprisingly didn't comment on it. Yoongi gave Jungkook a knowing smirk though but Jungkook decided to ignore it.

Out of the corner of his eyes, Seokjin saw Taehyung nudging Namjoon and pointing excitedly at their intertwined hands and his eyes went wide with embarassment at how he forgot he was still holding on to Jungkook even when they were already outside. He gently disentangled his hand from Jungkook's and ignored Jungkook's frown at that.

"Hyung let's go to the barbecue place you promised us. I'm famished!" Jimin announced and looped his hand on Yoongi's arm.

Yoongi looked over to Seokjin, Taehyung, and Namjoon, "We were gonna get a late dinner together after the movie, would you like to join us?"

"Sure, we were also planning on getting barbecue too after," Seokjin answered for the group.

"Yay! Let's go then" Jimin said brightly, leading the way to the barbecue place.

The restaurant wasn't very far from the cinema and it only took a few minutes walk for them.

When they were inside the restaurant Jimin insisted Seokjin sit directly in front of Jungkook. Jungkook happily obliged so that he can get a direct view of Seokjin in front of him. Seokjin shyly took his seat and engaged in conversation with everybody while waiting for their food to arrive.

Jungkook couldn't keep his gaze away from Seokjin even for a few minutes even when they were eating. He was so happy to be finally sharing a meal with Seokjin even if they were in a group. Seokjin also loosened up a bit and laughed animatedly at Jungkook's and the other's stories. This accidental meeting definitely broke the ice between them. Jungkook found himself falling more and more for this adorable guy in front of him as the hours passed.

Seokjin also found his gaze drifting over to Jungkook all time even when he wasn't talking, or laughing, or just simply bickering with Jimin. He was glad he didn't stay at home to watch tv like he originally planned for tonight or else he would have missed his chance in getting to know Jungkook better.

Alas their night has come to an end and the group found themselves outside the restaurant deciding how they will go home. Only Yoongi brought his car, the others all commuted since it was within easy access to the metro.

"Jin-hyung?" Jungkook suddenly asked. Everybody became quiet and turned interested eyes between the two.

"Hmm?" Seokjin turned to face Jungkook, butterflies flying around his stomach, tilting his head expectantly.

"Can I walk you home?" Jungkook asked Seokjin, hope clearly reflected in his gaze.

Everybody waited with bated breath, eyes moving back and forth between Seokjin and Jungkook, secretly hoping Seokjin will take up Jungkook's offer.

"Yes", and Seokjin gave Jungkook a blinding smile, his eyes crinkling at the corners.

At that moment everyone started to go their separate ways, Yoongi and Hoseok back to the cinema to get their car, Namjoon, Taehyung, and Jimin on the opposite way. Hasty goodbyes and plans to repeat the get together were promised. At last Jungkook and Seokjin were alone.

Jungkook let out the breath he didn't realize he was holding. His face cracked into a smile mirroring Seokjin's, full of relief, happiness and anticipation.

Jungkook hesitated for a moment but eventually held out his right hand to Seokjin. Seokjin blinked at the hand Jungkook extended. He glanced at Jungkook for a second before he smiled softly. He took Jungkook's outstretched hand and intertwined their fingers.

Seokjin and Jungkook both thought at the same time that there was no better way to end their accidental first date together.

Chapter Text

It was still early morning, the sun was shining faintly through the gap on the curtains, painting the foot of the bed with a soft, golden glow. But Seokjin was already awake, his comforter up to hide half his face, his fingers clutching the end, with a wide grin that was thankfully hidden under the comforter.

If anybody can see how widely he was grinning without a seemingly plausible reason, they would think he was crazy.

But of course Seokjin wasn't crazy, he was simply so happy his face would break with how wide he was smiling.

Seokjin can't really help it. How can he? It's finally Friday, the one day of the week he was really looking forward to. And not because of the upcoming weekend. He wiggled in happiness under his comforter, arms now stretched above him and looking at the sunlight streaming from the slightly opened curtain.

He gave a happy sigh before proceeding to look for his phone. Seokjin was humming a random tune softly until finally his fingers closed over the device under his pillow. He opened his calendar and smiled even more widely if that was even possible.

There in his calendar, Friday was already marked with a few important words and an obnoxious number of purple hearts around it: 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 Date with Jungkook 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Seokjin clutched his phone over his heart and sighed. Ever since the previous weekend when they ran into Jungkook and the others at the cinema, they had been constantly texting and chatting with each other, sometimes even mildly flirting. It has been a week and there was never a day that Jungkook had missed calling him.

Surprisingly even if there were long bouts of silences when Jungkook had walked him home the previous week, both of them still too shy to try and have long conversations with one another, it wasn't akward in the least. He actually enjoyed the comfortable silence, neither of them saw the need to talk just to break the ice, both just contented walking together, fingers intertwined and shoulders rubbing against each other from time to time, faint breeze swirling the dried leaves scattered about on their way.

Seokjin remembered the feeling of Jungkook's hand in his, how it was a bit calloused and rough against his much softer ang smoother hand. His heart clenched at how he felt he could get used to this forever, feeling safe, protected, and adored.

When they reached Seokjin's apartment building, Jungkook turned Seokjin around so he can look at him before saying good bye for the meantime. Both of them still holding each other's hand.

"Jin-hyung", Jungkook started blushing faintly, "I was wondering whether you would like to go out with me?" Jungkook looked down at his boots, his shoe scruffing gently on the pavement.

Seokjin's resident butterflies started flying around in his stomach, "Just you and me?" He asked Jungkook, eyes wide and fondly staring at the faint color on Jungkook's cheeks.

"If you want? But only of you like to though, no pressure. But I really like to-" Jungkook started talking a mile a minute, slightly flustered. He stared at Seokjin and took in his faint smile and something in his gaze that he decided to decipher later.

Seokjin cut Jungkook's rambling off in an instant, "Yes I'd love to go out with you" and squeezed Jungkook's hand gently.

"You do?" Jungkook blinked back, now gazing straight at Seokjin, hoping he heard correctly.

"Of course I do, I thought you'd never ask", Seokjin's eyes finally crinkled in the corners and blinding Jungkook with how wide he was smiling.

That night, Jungkook kissed Seokjin's hand in his and after reaching his apartment, Seokjin screamed into his pillow for about half an hour.

He smiled wistfully at the memory and opened his calendar once again. He stared at the screen, Seokjin's finger running over it and happily giggled.

Jungkook called him last night and chatted for a bit before confirming their date today.

Jungkook 💜: Hey hyung, ready for tomorrow?

Seokjin 👑: Of course! Where are we going anyway?

Jungkook 💜: I'm not telling. It's a surprise ~

Seokjin 👑: C'mon, can't you just give a hint?

Jungkook 💜: If I give a hint then where's the surprise in that?

Seokjin 👑: You're mean.

Jungkook 💜: I'm not! You'll like it hyung I promise.

Seokjin 👑: How will I dress if I don't know where you're taking me?

Jungkook 💜: You'll look beautiful in anything anyway ~

Seokjin 👑: What?

Jungkook 💜: Nothing! Just wear what's comfortable for you, and oh I'll be picking you up from school.

Seokjin 👑: You are?

Jungkook 💜: Yes, I'm off tomorrow so I'll pick you up after work.

Seokjin 👑: Okay if you insist.

Jungkook 💜: Alright hyung I've got to go. Get some sleep and try not to think too much of me ~

Seokjin 👑: Brat!

Jungkook laughed at that and they said their good nights after.

The thing was it was difficult not to think about Jungkook at all. All he can think about was how handsome and charming he is, how much of a gentleman he is, how melodious his voice sounded to him, and lord those muscles that seem to ripple from his arms and chest with the few times he has seen them. He waited a week to see him again and the anticipation of spending time with Jungkook was always rushing feverishly through his veins.

Seokjin took another look at his phone to check the time and decided to finally get up. Enough daydreaming Seokjin, he admonished himself, you'll see plenty of him in the flesh later!

Jungkook took off his helmet and stared up the sky, sunlight streaming from the clouds overhead, a gentle breeze messing about his long wavy hair.

He smiled at the sky and closed his eyes, enjoying the feeling of the sunlight and the cool breeze on his face. It's a perfect day, he thought to himself.

At last he will be able to spend time alone with his Prince.

Jungkook was so excited for their date that he spent a longer time than was necessary contemplating a killer outfit and was ready a full two hours before he was due to pick up Seokjin.

No problem, he thought, he'll just wait it out at the tattoo shop. He'll even endure the teasing he will get just so he won't fidget around in his apartment. And since Jungkook was in such a good mood, he'll even buy the three coffee from the cafe.

Jungkook couldn't concentrate much at work this past week, his thoughts always straying to the kiss he gave Seokjin, how the other was so surprised and flustered that he wanted to draw Seokjin even closer and press kisses all over his gorgeous face, whispering how beautiful he is in his ears.

He liked holding Seokjin's hands, he liked how they fit perfectly in his, soft and smooth and it felt like they were made for Jungkook to hold. He would like to hold and kiss those hands for a long time, preferably forever.

Jungkook had been looking forward to this date for a week, wishing for the time go faster. He and Seokjin were always texting back and forth, just chatting about random things, always enjoying their banter, and he always called him, everyday even if it was just for a few minutes, just to hear Seokjin's voice.

Now the day has come and Jungkook was a big panicky ball of nerves.

"Will you relax?", Jimin scolded. He was sitting on the couch in their waiting area petting Jungkook's hair, "Everything will be okay".

"But hyuuuuung," Jungkook started whining, "What if he doesn't like it?" He started to get up once more from the couch and started pacing. "What if he gets bored? What if he ditches me? Oh god what if-"

Hoseok stood up from his chair and grabbed Jungkook to sit in his lap. "Listen you big baby. Being nervous is okay but this is getting ridiculous", Hoseok hugged Jungkook, "You're amazing and Jin-hyung's gonna love it" Hoseok started running his hands on Jungkook's back in a soothing manner, immediately calming Jungkook. "Besides if what Yoongi told us is true, he won't care where you go, as long as you're with him" Hoseok smiled up brightly.

Yoongi escorted the last client of the day out of the shop when he noticed Jungkook, "What're you doing here bunny boy? I thought it's your day off?" He strolled toward the table and grabbed the coffee labeled with his name.

"Kookie's paranoid", Jimin piped up, scrolling on his phone and not even looking up.

"I was not!", Jungkook exclaimed from Hoseok's lap.

"Paranoid? About what?" Yoongi drawled in Jungkook's direction, sipping his coffee and waiting for an explanation.

"He's just nervous about his date babe", Hoseok answered in Jungkook's behalf.

Yoongi ran a palm over his face, "Kook for fuck's sake I told you a thousand times already-" Yoongi rolled his eyes but Jungkook interrupted him.

"Hyung how could you have told me a thousand times when I just told you yesterday and you barely spoke three words in my direction", Jungkook pointed out innocently.

"Don't interrupt you brat, as I was saying before I was rudely interrupted," Yoongi narrowed his eyes at Jungkook, "Jin-hyung's a simple man. He'll enjoy it because he's spending his time with you", Yoongi took another sip of his coffee and stared piercingly at Jungkook.

"So enough fretting love, just go and enjoy your time with your Prince!" Jimin got up from the couch and gave Jungkook a quick hug.

"Aren't you supposed to be leaving now?" Yoongi pointed at the clock. Jungkook yelped and jumped out of Hoseok's hold. It won't be a good impression to be late for a date with his Prince!

"Wow Jin-hyung, you certainly hit the jackpot", Taehyung nudged Seokjin, eyes wide and mouth slightly agape. Namjoon snickered and elbowed not so gently Seokjin's other side as well.

The three of them were walking to the school gates, Namjoon and Taehyung having waited for Seokjin while he changed into the clothes he brought with him. He changed from his slacks and button down white shirt to an oversized baby pink fluffy sweater and jeans, trusting Jungkook when he said to dress comfortably.

"Well, Jin-hyung certainly hit the big one with this", Namjoon and Taehyung giggled.

"What? What are you two talki-", Seokjin looked up and started to look around for Jungkook but stopped in his tracks, eyes comically going wide and mouth falling open.

Jungkook was leaning casually over a big black motorcycle, wearing a thin white button up, skinny jeans that defined his muscular thighs, black boots, and that sinful leather jacket that was draped over his shoulders. His wavy hair was parted revealing a smooth forehead and lips so red and moist Seokjin just wanted to pull Jungkook and have a taste of it.

Lord have mercy on Seokjin's soul.

How was he supposed to survive with Jungkook looking like he just came out fresh from a magazine shoot? Several ladies waiting were already also whispering among themselves and discretely pointing at Jungkook's direction.

Seokjin swallowed audibly and Taehyung giggled even more, "Hyung, you might want to close your mouth".

He wasn't even aware his mouth was open, even more so gaping at Jungkook like a lovesick teenager. He blushed in embarassment at Namjoon's and Taehyung's snickers and took a deep breath, willed his heart to at least start beating slowly, smiled and started to walk once more to where Jungkook was waiting.

Jungkook smiled and waved at them when he finally noticed them approaching.

"Hey", Jungkook stood up properly and smiled, "You look good hyung"

"Thank you, you don't look bad yourself" Seokjin said in a much higher pitch. Clearly he was still that flustered after finally seeing Jungkook after so long. And Jungkook did look so good he could be mistaken as a model.

"Hey Jungkook! Nice bike", Namjoon observed, taking a better look at Jungkook's motorcycle.

"Thanks hyung, that's my pride over there", Jungkook smiled at Namjoon and looked over at Taehyung, "Hi Tae-hyung, how are you?"

"Hiiii! Nice to see you again", Taehyung gave Seokjin his wide grin, "Jin-hyung talks about you all the time", and smiled angelically once more in Seokjin's direction.

"Tae!", Seokjin gasped in horror, cheeks flushing red at being exposed by Taehyung.

Jungkook just looked surprised and looked at Seokjin for confirmation, but the other just averted his eyes and glared at Taehyung. Cute, Jungkook thought.

"Well we'd better be going, we don't want to keep you", Namjoon grabbed Taehyung's hand and started to drag him away, "Have fun you two" and waved good bye.

Taehyung leaned over Seokjin for the last time before being dragged by Namjoon and whispered in Seokjin's ear, "Remember hyung, use protection!" Before being completely dragged away by Namjoon in the opposite direction.

Seokjin is sure his face is totally flushed by now. He'll murder Taehyung the first chance he get's, he promised himself.

"I'm so sorry about that. Sometimes they can get a bit too much", Seokjin turned to Jungkook, apologizing for whatever just happened.

"No worries, hyung. Besides, I like them" Jungkook smiled softly and Seokjin's heart warmed in his chest.

He's not so sure about the motorcycle behind Jungkook though.

"So", Jungkook took one helmet and held it to Seokjin, "Ever ridden on a motorcycle before?" Jungkook asked concernedly at Seokjin who looked like he was about to faint.

"No, not really", Seokjin looked ay Jungkook with a hint of fear in his eyes, "Is it safe?" Seokjin squeaked but took the helmet from Jungkook.

Jungkook smiled gently at Seokjin and reached over, his thumb lightly caressed his soft cheek, "Of course hyung. Don't worry, I'll keep you safe".

Seokjin didn't know why he was ever scared of riding a motorcycle before. Now that he was here behind Jungkook, clutching at his waist as if his life depended on it, he was actually enjoying every minute of it.

He can tell Jungkook was really careful with Seokjin behind him as a passenger. He drove carefully, never showed off, and was always asking Seokjin if he was okay when they had to stop at red lights. He was touched at Jungkook's concern and attentiveness towards his well-being.

Meanwhile Jungkook was thoroughly thrilled at having Seokjin's arms around his waist. He was glad that they had helmets on so Seokjin couldn't see how wide he was smiling, specially when they hit some unexpected bumps and Seokjin will tighten his hold on his him. At some point he could feel Seokjin's chest pressing on his back, and he thought he'll make sure to take Seokjin more on his motorcycle in the future, already planning to go on many more dates with him.

They arrived in an amusement park in the outskirts of the city. It was a Friday afternoon and some parks will be bound to be full of people later, that's why Jungkook chose this particular spot. It wasn't as crowded like the others.

The pair got off the motorcycle and removed their helmets. Every bit of nervousness was now erased from Jungkook's system when he saw the delight and awe in Seokjin's eyes as he took in the surroundings.

"Jungkook! How did you know?" Seokjin squealed happily as he was looking around the park, taking in the numerous rides, the food stalls, all the colorful things you would expect to see at an amusement park.

"I asked Yoongi-hyung" Jungkook went and paid for their tickets, "He said you liked amusement parks so much", he smiled as he turned to Seokjin.

Seokjin laughed, "I'm surprised he even remembered", Seokjin smiled back, "Well come to think of it, how could he not when he almost fainted at the viking ship ride back when we were in college" he supplied with a fond look.

Jungkook's eyes grew wide with astonishment, "What? Seriously?"

"Yup! We even had to carry him out of the ride", Seokjin was laughing even more at the memory, "Don't tell him I said that though. He insists it didn't happen"

"Don't worry, Yoongi-hyung's secret is safe with me", Jungkook grinned evilly at Seokjin.

They were looking around in silence for a few minutes, "So where do you want to go first?" Jungkook asked, looking around trying to check which ride they could try first.

"Oh look, they have bumper cars!" Seokjin exclaimed excitedly, "let's try those first!", Seokjin grabbed Jungkook's hand and pulled him towards the ride.

They spent half an hour happily driving round in their cars, trying to bump each other and laughing their hearts out the whole time.

Then they went to try the roller coaster. Seokjin wasn't really that brave since he got dizzy easily because of the height, but Jungkook was beside him and took Seokjin's hand in his, intertwining their fingers together. As the ride started moving Jungkook lifted Seokjin's knuckle on to his lips and kissed it lightly. Seokjin felt as if his heart stayed at the very peak of the roller coaster and never went back in his chest.

They went on other more rides, even went to the viking ship where they proceeded to laugh and scream the entire time. Seokjin stopped at a hotdog stand on their way since he was getting hungry, filling up their tummys for the time being since they planned to go on more rides as much as they can.

The sun was almost setting when they finally reached the ferris wheel, both of them uncharacteristically silent, just enjoying looking at the setting sun in front of them.

"It's beautiful", Seokjin whispered, gaze fixed at the marvellous view in front of them.

Jungkook faced Seokjin, taking in his expression, his face bathed in the dimming rays of the sun and making his eyes and skin more golden, like he was some sort of Greek god sitting beside him. He took in the obvious glow of happiness and contentment in Seokjin's gorgeous face, his eyes round with wonder, lips slightly parted as he watched the setting sun. And in that moment, Jungkook was hit with a lonnging so intense he just wanted to pull Seokjin closer to him, wrap him in his arms, and kiss him until both of them was short or breath.

But Jungkook, with an enormous amount of willpower and self-control, didn't. He just contented himself on carving this image in his brain and thought that he was the luckiest man alive to be able to spend time with an angel.

"Yeah, really beautiful", Jungkook murmured in such a wistful tone that Seokjin slowly moved his head to look at Jungkook, who was not looking at the view but at Seokjin.

Jungkook thought Seokjin was even more beautiful with the slight blush visibly darkening his Prince's cheeks.

When it was completely dark, they decided to grab something to eat. They settled on some burgers and fries and sat at one of the benches scattered around the park.

"I've been meaning to ask you," Seokjin took a sip of soda before continuing, "How did you become a tattoo artist?" He asked curiously.

Jungkook thought for a moment and finished chewing before answering, "I was in art school when I was in Busan. One of our teachers had this really beautiful tattoo of a dragon on his arm", Jungkook put down his burger and faced Seokjin, "His brother owned a tattoo shop and I would visit often after classes. I was fascinated by it, and before i knew it I got my first tattoo" Jungkook smiled and showed him a tattoo of a small rose in his right forearm.

Seokjin leaned closer and traced the pattern with his index finger, following the intricate design of the flower. "It's pretty", He moved back and took a french fry, "So you went spending so much time there?"

"Yes", Jungkook pulled up his sleeve higher and showed his other tattoos, mostly flowers, some of geometric animals, "He taught me the ropes and I was so good at it that he decided to take me in as an apprentice".

"When did you start working for Yoongi then?", Seokjin started to eat his candy bar that they bought earlier.

"Around two years ago", Jungkook opened the first few buttons of his shirt to show a tattoo in his upper chest and Seokjin tried so hard to breath properly. "This is actually his work" Jungkook said proudly.

The tattoo was of a wolf, a beautiful combination of watercolors on one side, and abstract geometric figures on the other. "Wow, Yoongi's really talented", Seokjin was awed at the amount of time and hard work it must have taken to produce a beautiful piece of art.

"He is, I learned so much from him", Jungkook started to button his shirt up and Seokjin was sorely tempted to protest, "How about you? Did you always want to be a teacher"?

Seokjin laughed softly , "Actually no, when I was younger I wanted to be an idol"

Jungkook smiled, "Then why didn't you? I mean you have the face for it" Jungkook was curious, Seokjin would've been successful as an idol if he pursued it.

"Surprisingly I hate being the center of attention", Seokjin swiped some of Jungkook's fries, "And I don't think I will enjoy the lifestyle. I like my sleep, thank you very much".

They talked even longer after, learning more and more about each other, mentally storing away everything they learned about each other. Jungkook realized they have a lot more in common than he thought.

"Hey Jungkook?", Seokjin suddenly interrupted him, "Can I call you Kookie instead?

"Of course hyung, everybody calls me that anyway. Kookie or Kook is fine", Jungkook smiled at him while they started to gather their wrappers to throw in the garbage bin.

"I have another question," Seokjin hesitated slightly, looking at Jungkook's left forearm, which was completely devoid of any tattoos. "How come you don't have any tattoos there?" Seokjin pointed, completely missing the way Jungkook looked at him.

"I'm reserving it for something special", Jungkook answered cryptically.

"Something special?" Seokjin echoed curiously.

"Yes hyung. And when it's time you'll be the first to know". Jungkook smiled fondly at him, took Seokjin's hand in his and walked with him through the crowds.

Seokjin was standing at the entrance of his building, now the proud owner of a large alpaca plushie that Jungkook had insisted he win for Seokjin at a shooting game.

"Thank you Kookie, I really had fun today", Seokjin was smiling widely at Jungkook, "I can't remember when I enjoyed myself this much"

"It's nothing hyung, I had so much fun today as well", Jungkook was fiddling with Seokjin's hand that was still in his, "I really like spending time with you, do you think we can go out again sometime?" Jungkook asked Seokjin hopefully that made Seokjin swoon at how adorable Jungkook was acting now.

"Well of course you dummy, but the next time will be my treat," Seokjin informed Jungkook.

"But-" Jungkook immediately protested but was cut off by Seokjin.

"No buts! Next time let me treat you", Seokjin answered sternly.

"Fine", Jungkook sighed exasperatedly but smiled good naturedly, "You better get going inside hyung, it's getting colder already".

"Okay, thank you again for a lovely day. Text me when you get home?" Seokjin gently caressed Jungkook's hand in his. He will miss its warmth when Jungkook goes home.

"I will. Good night hyung", Jungkook let go of Seokjin's hand and started walking backwards, wanting to look at Seokjin for as long as he can. Jungkook turned around once he reached his motorcycle and took the helmet, preparing to put it over his head.

"Kookie?" He heard Seokjin call him. He turned around and found Seokjin standing so close to him.

"Yes hyung?" Jungkook tilted his head to the side, thinking of something he might have forgotten.

"Take care" Seokjin whispered softly before planting a kiss on Jungkook's cheek.

Chapter Text

Seokjin groaned from frustration for the third time today, and it was just barely approaching lunchtime.

First, he overslept his alarm and Seokjin had to rush to get ready for work. Curse YouTube and those freaking cute cat videos!

Second, he spilled coffee on his shirt when he was walking around the school. He was strolling through a corridor when a group of first graders came running in the hallway, one of them accidentally bumping into him. Seokjin was now sporting a big dark brown stain on his beige button-down shirt which he will be forced to wear the whole day since he didn't bring any extra clothes.

And third, Seokjon spent the last 10 minutes rummaging around his bag for his phone, spilling all the contents on his desk and frantically searching in all of the pockets. Seokjin sighed when he realized he might have forgotten it on his kitchen counter when he answered Jungkook's good morning text.

Of all the days he could have forgotten his phone, it has to be today. Seokjin planned on texting Jungkook to meet him at the local park for lunch since he had made a lot of food the night before.

Now he had no way of informing Jungkook of his plans. However midway through morning classes he received a note that there will be an emergency teacher's meeting right after lunch and he would only have less than an hour for his break. Seokjin sighed, so now even his impromptu lunch date will be ruined.

But he couldn't just bring home again the extra food he made or else it will just go to waste. Seokjin already gave some to Namjoom and Taehyung, now only his lunch and Jungkook's was left. He looked out on the grounds and decided he would just have to drive over to the tattoo shop and give Jungkook his lunch.

Seokjin got up from his seat and grabbed his keys and coat, hurrying outside towards the parking lot. The drive would not take long, maybe less than 5 minutes, so that will give him ample time to chat a bit with Jungkook before he had to head back to school.

At least today's not gonna be totally hopeless, Seokjin thought, as he was lucky enough to find a parking space very close to the shop. He took the lunch bag from the passenger seat, locked the car, and walked the few meters leading to the shop.

Seokjin entered the shop and was greeted by a very suprised but very pleased Hoseok.

"Jin-hyung!" Hoseok rushed over and gave Seokjin a one-handed hug, "How nice to see you here!" Hoseok beamed at him.

"Hey Hobi! It's nice to see you too", Seokjin returned his hug and smiled warmly, "Looking good as always".

"Well of course!" Hoseok laughed, "I've got to lure in the clients with this face after all", Hoseok gave a loud laugh and Seokjin followed, "But I'm assuming you aren't here for a tattoo or a piercing appointment, or are you?" Hoseok teasingly remarked, gesturing Seokjin to sit at one of the chairs.

"Oh no, no. I don't think I'm brave enough for that yet", he gave a short laugh, "I'm actually here for Kookie" Seokjin stated shyly, cheeks a little pink at the reason for his visit and Hoseok's smile grew wider as he observed the blooming blush on the older's face.

"I figured", Hoseok turned to the side and laughed softly, "He's just finishing up with a client, I'll go get him".

Seokjin smiled back and looked around the shop. It was pleasant to the eye and very neat, not at all what he imagined a tattoo shop looked like. There were plants placed in some corners and the chairs were colorful and comfortable. He was waiting for only a few minutes when he saw Hoseok with what he assumed was Jungkook's client and bowed him out of the shop.

"Jin-hyung! What a surprise to see you here!", Jungkook came rushing out excitedly, unable to hide his happiness and surprise at seeing Seokjin in the shop.

Seokjin turned towards Jungkook and stood up, smiling widely and waving his hand cutely, "Hi Kookie! Um, I'm sorry I forgot my phone so I wasn't able to call beforehand", Seokjin rubbed the back of his neck and explained sheepishly.

"No need for apologies hyung, you are always welcome here", Jungkook smiled fondly while gesturing back where his workroom was, "Do you wanna see where I work?"

"Sure, I'd love to", Seokjin replied happily and followed Jungkook closely.

Jungkook glanced at Hoseok watching them from the other side of the room and ignored the pointed teasing look Hoseok was giving him.

"Wow! Are these all your paintings?", Seokjin was going round the small room looking at all the framed artworks adorning the wall, awe evident in his face, "They're beautiful!"

Blush was creeping up Jungkook's cheeks at Seokjin's unexpected praise, "Yes, I sometimes paint during my free time".

"You're a talented artist Kookie", Seokjin turned round and praised Jungkook, making the other blush even more.

"Thank you hyung", Jungkook answered with a shy smile. "So hyung, what brings you here?"

"Oh.. well you see last night I might have gone overboard while cooking and made too much, so, um, I, um, packed lunch for you", Seokjin muttered softly and held out the lunch bag he prepared for Jungkook.

Jungkook took the bag from Seokjin and stared wide eyed at the older, "Hyung, I..."

"It's nothing fancy, I just messed around in my kitchen last night, I don't even know if you even like-" Seokjin started rambling but was cut off short when Jungkook suddenly came closer and wrapped his arms on Seokjin's shoulder, hugging him tightly.

"Thank you hyung, nobody has ever made lunch for me before", Jungkook said softly against Seokjin's hair.

If Jungkook thought that Seokjin couldn't get any sweeter, here he was again proving Jungkook wrong. Seokjin really was kind and sweet and Jungkook felt himself falling even more for his Prince's charms.

Seokjin was so touched by Jungkook's gratefulness that he was unable say anything. After what seemed like such a long time, he raised his hands and rubbed Jungkook's back gently before pulling away.

"I also came here to ask you something", Seokjin stood nervously, hands fidgeting on his sides. "Would you like to have dinner with me this evening in my apartment?"

"Um, Jungkook? Are you okay?", Seokjin was starting to get worried when there was no answer from Jungkook and he was already getting uncomfortable with Jungkook's prolonged silence.

"You want to have dinner with me." Jungkook could have mistaken what he heard.

"Yes? If you're free tonight?", Seokjin answered nervously, beginning to think this wasn't such a good idea after all.

"In your apartment. You're inviting me to have dinner with you. In your apartment?", Jungkook's brain was having difficulty processing Seokjin's invitation.

"Well, yes. I'd love to cook dinner for you tonight", Seokjin bit his lower lip, anxiety slowly creeping up with him at Jungkook's unusual reaction to what Seokjin thought was a normal dinner invitation.

A slow smile started to bloom on Jungkook's lips, his eyes crinkling at the corners and his features illuminated with the happiness and warmth Jungkook was feeling in his heart at this moment.

"I'd love to have dinner with you, hyung", Jungkook was trying so hard to school his excitement, smiling so widely now his face threatened to crack at any moment.

Seokjin breathed out something akin to relief at Jungkook's acceptance and started mirroring Jungkook's bright smile, "Great! So I'll see you around 8pm? I'll text you the details when I get home. Unfortunately I have to go now though, we have this important meeting in 30 minutes".

"I'll be there", Jungkook was now gazing at Seokjin with a soft smile, "And thanks for the lunch and dropping by hyung. I'll walk you to your car".

Jungkook walked Seokjin to his car and bid him goodbye, asking Seokjin to drive safely. He turned back to the shop and found Jimin and Hoseok waiting for him, big grins on both their faces.

"What?" Jungkook asked innocently, ignoring the two as he sat on one of the chairs.

"Nothing", Jimin started walking towards Jungkook's workroom, leaving a snickering Hoseok behind, "I heard that Jin-hyung brought you lunch. That's great coz I'm starving", Jimin looked back and gave Jungkook an evil smile.

Jungkook immediately started to run after Jimin while screaming, "Hyung don't you dare put your chubby little hands on my lunch! That's mine!"

"Jin-hyung, can I eat this?"

"How about this hyung?"

"Yeah okay."

Namjoon and Taehyung were currently raiding Seokjin's fridge, randomly pulling out containers of food while Seokjin was busy preparing dinner for him and Jungkook later.

Neither of them were of any help in the kitchen, but that wasn't what Seokjin needed at this time. He didn't want a repeat of Namjoon's disasters in the kitchen and Taehyung's non-existent cooking skills, thank you very much.

What he needed right now was emotional support. It's been a long time since Seokjin invited someone over and he was understandably nervous. He wants everything to be perfect since it was also Jungkook's first visit to his apartment.

He already cleaned his apartment and changed his tablecloth in a very pale purple color with matching table napkins he normally uses only for special occasions. Pristine white plates and crystal glasses were already arranged on the table. When the three of them were in the supermarket buying the ingredients Seokjin needed, Taehyung came bouncing back to them and gently placed a small potted plant full of tiny dark purple flowers in their cart. None of them knew its name but Taehyung proclaimed it matches Seokjin's tablecloth and napkins. As Seokjin was now scrutinizing his table arrangement, he had to agree the plant looks perfect as a centerpiece.

"What are you making anyway?", Taehyung leaned closer and peeked over Seokjin's shoulder while eating a banana he found on the kitchen counter, "Oooooh hyung you're making pasta?"

"Jungkook mentioned he likes Italian food", Seokjin answered without even looking up from the pan. He was concentrating so hard he didn't even spare a glance at the two currently making a mess of his kitchen.

"And what are these? Steaks? Wow hyung you really pulled the tops on these", Namjoon impressively observed while still busy checking Seokjin's fridge.

"Can you two lay off the free food for a bit and come taste this", Seokjin gave each a spoon to test the sauce he was mixing.

Taehyung took some and wiggled like a little child, "Mmmm hyung this is so good! You sure are gonna have Kookie in your bed tonight!" Taehyung took another spoonful of the sauce and gave a contented groan.

Seokjin was so on edge he even ignored Taehyung's teasing and ushered Namjoon near the stove, "Jin-hyung they say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach and I must say you're already there!", Namjoon took several spoonfuls more of the sauce and proclaimed it perfect.

"You don't think it's too salty? Or is it missing something?" Seokjin opened his cupboard to check for more spices, "Or maybe I should add-"

"Jin-hyung will you calm down?", Taehyung came closer to Seokjin and draped his hand over his shoulder, "Just relax, everything is perfect already."

"Tae is right," Namjoon squeezed himself to Seokjin's other side and took his hand, "You're an amazing cook hyung and an even more amazing person. I'm sure Kookie will love it."

Seokjin smiled gratefully at the two, "Thank you. Now you two go back to munching off my food while I finish cooking", Seokjin shooed Namjoon and Taehyung away from the stove and turned back to his pan.

"What time is Kookie coming over again?" Taehyung was now busy chewing a rice cake he found in the fridge earlier.

"Around 8 pm, why?" Seokjin asked absentmindedly while checking if his oven is ready.

"Because it's already almost 7 and you still haven't started on the steaks", Namjoon commented over his mouthful of japchae.

Seokjin yelped and checked his phone if it really was almost 7 in the evening, chucking his phone afterwards and diving over to the fridge to take the steaks out.

Jungkook was currently thinking of what to bring over to Seokjin's when he parked his motorcycle in front of the flower shop he spotted while on his way.

He was so busy the whole day, his schedule so full he literally had only about 30 minutes to get home, take a shower and change, and head over to Seokjin's flat for dinner. He didn't even have the time to dress up so he just settled on a red and black plaid long-sleeved shirt, black jeans, a black coat since it was getting colder, his black Timbs, and a black beanie.

Jungkook was tired and planned to just crash at home and catch up on sleep but his Prince has invited him over for dinner. At his flat. And honestly he'd been really looking forward to another date with Seokjin so how could he say no to that?

It's been a very long time since he's been on a flat that doesn't belong to Yoongi, Hoseok, or Jimin and the thought makes him a little bit nervous and anxious. The fact that he's spending dinner with somebody he truly likes and even invited Jungkook to his apartment makes his heart full of warmth and happiness with the level of trust and affection Seokjin has bestowed upon him.

Jungkook entered the shop and immediately fell in love with a large bouquet of pale pink peonies, accented with a few sprigs of small white and pink flowers on a shelf near the counter. His ex disliked flowers so much so he never bothered to give him bouquets. He took the bouquet and smiled while inhaling the scent of the flowers, immediately calming down his nerves. He forgot to ask Seokjin if he likes them but he hopes that he will like it since it suits him perfectly. He immediately paid for the bouquet and checked his watch. It was already almost 8pm and he will definitely be late if he didn't hurry.

He reached Seokjin's building with a few minutes to spare, double checked the text Seokjin sent him and waited for the elevator to take him to the third floor. He was holding the bouquet gently and occasionally sniffing the flowers, liking the soothing scent of them. Two girls waiting with him were softly giggling and smiling at him. Little did Jungkook know that he looked so adorable holding the peony bouquet, in his beanie and almost all black ensemble.

Jungkook was now standing in front of Seokjin's door, inhaled and exhaled deeply for about three times, and pushed the doorbell.

It took only a few seconds before the door was opened by Seokjin, looking like an angel in his cream oversized sweater, pale blue jeans, pale lilac hair neatly parted to the side revealing his gorgeous forehead, and a smile so bright it rivals the sun in its brightness.

"Hey Kookie, come in! I'm glad you could come", Seokjin ushered Jungkook inside and gave him a pair of house slippers.

"Hi hyung", Jungkook handed the large bouquet of flowers he had been hiding behind his back to Seokjin, "For you. I hope you like flowers, I didn't have the time to get you anything else." He gazed warmly at Seokjin and his eyes lit up at how Seokjin's eyes grew round with surprise and how his smile even became brighter.

"Oh Kookie, I love flowers so much!", Seokjin brought the flowers to his face and inhaled deeply with eyes closed, the scent somehow reminds him of calmness and contentment, "You didn't have to but I love it. Thank you", Seokjin looked at Jungkook and held his gaze.

"I'm glad you like it hyung. It kind of reminds me of you", Jungkook reached over and caressed Seokjin's cheek with his thumb, a hint of a smile on his lips.

Seokjin smiled softly and caught Jungkook's hand in his before it dropped and laced his fingers with Jungkook's, pulling him to the living room and inviting him to sit for a bit.

"Dinner's almost ready. Let me take your coat and I'll go find a vase for these beauties." Seokjin was a bit flustered and took the coat Jungkook gave him.

"Can I help you hyung?" Jungkook inquired while looking around the apartment.

"No, no that's fine. Only 5 more minutes", Seokjin answered Jungkook from the kitchen while looking for a vase.

Jungkook looked around Seokjin's apartment, taking in the decor. It was simple and inviting, with splashes of pale pastel colors here and there. Somehow it screams of Seokjin to Jungkook, of warmth and homeliness, and Jungkook immediately felt at ease.

Seokjin came back to the living room and smiled when he saw Jungkook examining his bookcase. Jungkook turned around when he heard Seokjin approach him.

"Hyung, I love your apartment", Jungkook stated happily, "It looks so warm and cosy. Have you been here long?" Jungkook asked.

"Since I moved here in Seoul", He smiled and approached Jungkook, "I see you like my books", Seokjin observed.

"They're mostly cookbooks hyung", Jungkook rolled his eyes but was smiling, "I love food, but I can barely cook".

"Well then let me amaze you with my amazing cooking instead. Dinner is now served!", Seokjin said proudly and pulled Jungkook by the hand towards the kitchen.

Dinner was a success and both Seokjin and Jungkook were so full they can barely move. Both of them wede sitting on Seokjin's couch with a glass of red wine. The TV was on and the volume was low but neither of them was paying any attention to it.

Seokjin loved feeding others so it was no surprise that he was piling Jungkook's plate high with pasta. He even prepared another serving of steak to Jungkook to which the other already protested.

"Hyung, the food is delicious and I love everything you prepared, but I will get fat if you keep feeding me" Jungkook protested. His tummy was almost always a bottomless pit but it was already protesting with the amount of pasta he had already eaten. They haven't even started with dessert yet which was homemade tiramisu Seokjin learned from a cooking show once.

"Nonsense, good food has zero calories when you're enjoying it", Seokjin refuted and began to cut the steak for Jungkook.

Jungkook smiled at the memory and looked at Seokjin, "I don't think I've ever eaten too much pasta and steak in my life", Jungkook took a sip of his red wine.

"I tend to cook a lot so sorry about that", Seokjin laughed but didn't look remotely sorry for feeding Jungkook so much.

"It was delicious, thank you hyung" Jungkook remarked, "You're a great cook".

Seokjin's cheeks immediately turned pink at the praise, "Thank you Kookie. By the way is it okay for you to drink wine?", Seokjin looked concerned since he knew Jungkook came in his motorcycle.

"A glass is fine hyung" Jungkook assured, "But since it's still early, would you like to go on a walk with me?"

"A walk?", Seokjin looked up in surprise at the suggestion.

"Yeah, we could walk around and burn off the food we ate", Jungkook teasingly explained.

Seokjin smiled, "Okay, let me get my coat then".

Both of them stepped out of the apartment bundled up in their coats, Seokjin in a simple dark blue coat over his cream sweater, and Jungkook too with his coat, his black beanie now back on his head. Jungkook took Seokjin's hand in his and started towards the sidewalk.

They were both walking at a leisurely pace, stopping once in a while to admire some things they saw on their way, anything from shops, food, and even a few performers they passed by.

It was a beautiful autumn night, quiet and peaceful, a sense of anticipation in the air for what to come. They had the occasional small talk, laughs and smiles towards each other, but nothing of it was forced. Both of them going with the flow with what the night has in store for them.

They eventually reached a small park near Seokjin's neighborhood, soft wind blowing on their hair, gently ruffling it and making their cheeks pink. The path they took ended in a secluded area full of fairy lights and Seokjin couldn't hide his excitement.

"Wow Kookie, look at all those lights!", Seokjin pointed out, "Aren't they beautiful?" Seokjin turned around and exclaimed in wonder.

Jungkook looked over to Seokjin who was busy twirling around, eyes sparkling in delight and happiness. He was bathed in the soft glowing lights, laughing without a care in the world. He looked so ethereal that Jungkook felt his heart clench at the overflowing emotion, couldn't contain himself anymore.

He didn't plan it, Jungkook didn't even expect it, but the moment he saw the lilac haired man coming out of the cafe early one Monday morning, he knew that his heart and soul already belonged to him. He fell in love with Seokjin at first sight and only now was he hit with the full realization of his feelings, in the middle of a park full of fairy lights, the love of his life happily twirling around in front of him.

Jungkook had never experienced an emotion as intense as this, not even with his previous relationships, something that humbled him and left him in awe that feelings so unexpected has this amount of effect on Jungkook.

It might not be the perfect place but Seokjin was perfect in his eyes. Jungkook was finally ready to say what he has been longing to confess for a long time.

Seokjin was the one for him.

"Jin-hyung?" Jungkook slowly approached Seokjin, taking both his hands and locked eyes with the older intensely. Seokjin looked up, forehead slightly creased as Seokjin began to worry at how Jungkook looks so serious.

"Kookie, is something wrong? You look so serious" Seokjin asked a bit worriedly.

Jungkook gave Seokjin a soft smile and squeezed his hands gently, "No, nothing's wrong. It's just that I've been meaning to tell you something", Jungkook began, all traces of nervousness gone.

Seokjin tilted his head questioningly and gave an encouraging smile for Jungkook to continue.

"Jin-hyung, I am totally, hopelessly, deeply in love with you", Jungkook admitted, eyes still boring deeply with Seokjin's, "The moment I saw you, I knew you were the one. I said to myself who was this man who could make my heart beat faster, my day brighter, and my smile wider, all by just seeing you through the glass at the other side of the road? I didn't even know you, yet you turned my world upside down in ways that you couldn't imagine."

"And then it turned out that Yoongi-hyung knows you. I was so elated I begged him for weeks to introduce me to you, who I thought was so out of reach and had nothing in common with. I didn't know how to approach you and yet as I got to know you better, I realized we have a lot more in common than I thought, why was I ever afraid of approaching you? You are kind, warm, intelligent, and caring. You are everything I ever wanted and more, and I found myself falling deeper in love with you."

Jungkook took a few steps closer to Seokjin, eyes staring deeply at Seokjin's wide ones. Jungkook raised his hand and cupped Seokjin's cheek, the other still holding Seokjin's other hand. Jungkook moved even closer and rested his forehead to Seokjin's.

"I have never felt this way before you came along. I'm so in love with you and I feel that my heart's going to explode with how deeply I feel for you. So I'm asking you, Jin-hyung, I'm asking you to please give me a chance to show you how much I love you."

The night was quiet and the fairy lights all around them were the only witnesses to Jungkook's confession. Jungkook wasn't perfect, he's far from it. He only hopes what's inside his heart is enough for Seokjin.

Seokjin was stunned, speechless. When he agreed to go for a walk with Jungkook earlier, he wasn't expecting a heartfelt confession from him. He thought they were just walking around, burning off calories, goofing off, and just having a great time.

Seokjin wasn't expecting anything at all and yet Jungkook has dropped a bomb, something that he was also feeling the entire time he had known him.

In a way Seokjin was glad it happened now. They won't be tiptoeing in each other's emotions anymore, wondering whether there is something worth waiting for in the future, not when one of them finally admitted his true feelings to the other.

Seokjin gazed at Jungkook with loving eyes, enjoying the warmth of Jungkook's palms cradling his cheek and holding his hand, the warmth of something that has always been present in his heart but was too much of a coward to admit first.

At the back of his mind, he knew that he also fell in love with Jungkook at first sight. They didn't know each other for very long and yet he fell deeply in love with Jungkook quite as easily as Jungkook fell in love with him.

Now he had a name for the constant butterflies in his stomach whenever he was around Jungkook. It's love, as simple as that.

Here they are in a magical place on a fine autumn evening, and Seokjin couldn't think of a better time and place to admit what he had known all along. Jungkook had offered him his whole heart, now it was Seokjin's turn to accept it.

Seokjin placed his hand on top of Jungkook's that was cradling his cheek and caressed it, hoping his tender touch also relayed how Seokjin was feeling at this moment. Seokjin closed his eyes for a moment and savored Jungkook's closeness to him before taking a deep breath and opening his eyes.

"Kookie, I'm totally, hopelessly, deeply in love with you too. We haven't known each other for very long yet I feel that you have already become a part of me. You're sweet, charming, smart, thoughtful, and loyal. I'm really thankful I have you in my life. You make me feel things I haven't felt with anybody before and I would be proud to call you mine." Seokjin smiled with so much warmth to Jungkook.

Jungkook couldn't say anything after Seokjin's confession, so overwhelmed with feelings that the words he wanted to say got caught up in his throat. He gathered up Seokjin in a tight embrace and stayed that way for a very long time.

Finally, Jungkook was able to say what he'd been meaning to before he got caught up with his intense emotions, "Thank you, hyung. You won't regret it, I promise".

Jungkook let go of Seokjin and brushed back the stray hairs from his forehead. Both of them were gazing with so much love at each other, soft smiles on their lips, neither one wanting to break the magical spell.

"I love you", Jungkook heard himself whispering as he closed the distance between them.

"I love you too", Seokjin whispered back before Jungkook finally claimed his lips in a gentle kiss.
