“Mom. . .No matter what kind of trouble you’re in. . .he’ll save you with a smile. . . A super cool hero like that. . . . .Mom, could I be a cool hero too?”
Her baby’s voice was trembling, those green eyes( the ones he got from her ) drowning in tears. Her heart shattered. Oh, her baby, her precious baby boy.
She staggered forward, tears in her own eyes and placed her hands on his cheeks,
“Oh, my dear Izuku, of course, you can,” She cried, pressing him to her heart, just like she always did.
He hiccuped and started crying, but there was a tiny smile on his face.
Dangerous as it was to allow a dream like this to fester in his heart, she was a mother. To keep her child smiling, what wouldn’t she do?
She’d move mountains if it meant that Izuku could achieve his dream.
Even if she had to hold his hand every step of the way, she’d make sure that he’d achieve his dreams, even if they change, even if they grow bigger and bigger.
For what is a mother, if not her child’s protector?
Her boy grew up with a heart whose love rivaled the sea in size, and hope that towered above the Himalayas. She had long since warned him that this path, if it were truly what he wanted to take, would be one that was long and harsh. He’d accepted it with a beaming grin.
She signed him up for martial arts. She made sure he could defend himself.
Hisashi sent in enough checks for him to do as he wanted. Along with her job, they would mold Izuku into the best hero he could be.
The smile he wore as they walked to his first martial arts class was brighter than the sun.
Her goal: make sure it stays there.
"a mother's love for her child is like nothing else in the world. It knows no law, no pity, it dares all things, and crushes down remorselessly all that stands in its path."
