The Tale of the Prince and the Dragon Master

Chapter Text

Every day he would watch the green haired boy leave the castle and head into the forest to train. Most days the prince would join him but today he was all alone. He had been watching him for months now, up in the trees where he couldn’t see him. He couldn’t deny it that the boy’s green hair and slim yet muscular figure enticed him but that wasn’t the only reason he had his eyes on him. Seeing the castle he was coming out of, he could make some money off the kid. Lately it was getting harder and harder for him and his dragon to get their hands on gold or gems within the area. So his dragon and him came up with a way to make some money and today was the day he was going to put his plan into action.

“I’m heading out, you stay here and wait for me to call you alright.” Bakugo said as he jumped down from the tree he was in.

“Okay, but are you sure you won’t need me?” Kirishima asked as he crouched down on the tree branch he was standing on.

“Yes I’m sure. He might freak out if he sees me walk up with a dude with horns following behind me. Now just stay here and wait for me to call you.” Bakugo said as he started to leave towards the forest he saw Midoriya enter.

“Fine.” Kirishima said with a huff. “Just don’t do anything stupid like kill the kid or anything!” Kirishima shouted from the tree as he got comfortable, leaning against the trunk of the tree as he waited.

Bakugo ran into the woods in the direction he saw Midoriya take, slowing down as he began to hear the sounds of metal hitting a tree. He slowed his pace, approaching carefully, making sure not to make any sudden noises that would make him jump. He watched the green haired boy’s fighting stance, watching as he swung consistently at the tree. His form wasn’t bad, but it definitely needed work if he ever wanted to slay anyone. Bakugo smiled, seeing that it was going to be easy to take him if he fought back. He watched as Midoriya stopped swinging his sword, sheathing it as he caught his breath as he picked up a leather container, drinking from it. From the bushes Bakugo was hiding in he got a good look at his prey. He was wearing dark green pants, that were held up by a brown leather belt which held his sheath. He was wearing a white long sleeve shirt underneath a green vest. He also had on a pair of white gloves that protected his hands when he swung his sword. Bakugo smirked as he stood up from behind the bushes, making his way into the clearing where Midoriya was training.

“You need to work on your form a bit more before you can slay anything.” Bakugo said as he leaned against a tree with his arms crossed. Midoriya jumped as Bakugo spoke up, reaching to his waist for the hilt of his sword.

“You startled me.” Midoriya said as he got a look at the blond man who had spoken to him. The man had spiky blond hair, and was wearing a red cape that had white fur lining around his neck along with several different colored necklaces hanging from his neck. He wasn’t wearing a shirt so Midoriya got to see how toned his upper body was. He had pieces of orange cloth covering his arms, the top of the cloth having some design to it in black. He was wearing dark blue pants, knee guards protecting his knees and white boots that came up to his knees, white fur lining the top of the boots as well. He had a sword strapped to his belt as well, the sword was a bit wider than Midoriya’s sword but just as long. “Who are you?” Midoriya asked, his hand still on the hilt of his sword. Bakugo chuckled as he uncrossed his arms.

“I’m a traveling warrior, making my way through these lands looking for any little job. I came into town a few days ago for a job. I kept seeing you enter the woods every day I’ve been here. I was curious what you were doing so I came to see for myself.” Bakugo said as he started to approach Midoriya. “So you’ve been training your swordsmanship skills, huh?” He asked as he pointed to the tree that had several marks and chips in it.

“Uh, yeah. I came to this town a few months ago to try and get stronger. I’ve been traveling around just like you.” Midoriya said as he released his grip on his swords, Bakugo seeing him relax his muscles. “My name’s Midoriya Izuku, nice to meet you.” Midoriya said as he extended a hand with a big smile on his face.

“Bakugo Katsuki.” Bakugo said as he shook Midoriya’s hand. “If you want, I can give you some pointers on how to have better control over your sword.” Bakugo said with a smile.

“Oh really? That would be great, I’m currently learning from Pri-, from someone who’s letting me stay with them but they couldn’t join me today so I’ve been practicing what they taught me so far.” Midoriya said as he caught himself before he said the name of who he’s staying with. Midoriya was warned not to bring up who he’s staying with cause he would be targeted by people who would want to attack him. There was a glint of something in Bakugo’s eyes but he thought nothing of it.

“Yeah, it’s not a problem, I’ve been traveling around for some time now, almost half my life pretty much.” Bakugo said as he grabbed the hilt of his sword.

“Really? How old are you?” Midoriya asked as he also placed his hand on his sword.

“I’m twenty-two. My dad was also a swordsman so I would travel with him. He died a few years back though so I’ve been traveling by myself since then. Now draw your sword and I’ll show you a better stance to help balance the weight of your sword.” Bakugo said as he drew his sword.

“You’re two years older than me. Sorry about your dad. I’m kind of in the same boat. I left home a few years ago to train my skills, my mom said it would be good for me to travel and get as much experience as I can.” Midoriya said as he drew his sword as well.

“You said you were staying with someone in town? Do you have family out here?” Bakugo asked as he gripped his sword tightly with both hands. “See, for you it would be easier to hold your sword like this. The way I saw you swinging it was how you would swing a long sword.” Bakugo said, showing him how he gripped his sword.

“Oh so like this?” Midoriya asked as he showed his grip to Bakugo. “No, my only family is quite a ways away from here. I’m staying with someone I met during my journey. They offered me a place to stay shortly after I entered the kingdom.” Midoriya said with a smile.

“Yeah, that’s better. Now when you go to make an attack you lead with your dominant foot like this, and swing your sword to the opposite side like this.” Bakugo said as he showed him with a swing from his sword. “Are they around here, who you’re staying with?” Bakugo said as he lowered his sword so he could watch Midoriya swing with his sword in the same way.

“Yeah, you leave the forest and cross the bridge over the river that’s north from here. It’s the-, it’s next to the castle, by the base of the hill.” Midoriya answered after he finished his swing.

“That’s not too far from here. It must be nice having a place close by to practice.” Bakugo said as he kept his grip on his sword, waiting for a chance to catch him off guard.

“Yeah, the forest is nice. I look at it every day from where I’m staying so, it’s nice to get out and come here.” Midoriya said with a smile.

“That’s true. I got one more thing to teach you before I have to head back.” Bakugo said as he raised his sword. “Never let your guard down.” Bakugo said as he swung his sword at Midoriya, catching him off guard. Midoriya quickly raised his sword to block the attack but he didn’t have a good grip on it with how fast he had to react. Bakugo knocked the sword from Midoriya’s hands as he kept his pace as he finished the swing, turning around as he hit Midoriya in the gut with the hilt of his sword with enough force to send him backwards. Midoriya let out a gasp as he fell to the ground, landing on his back as he clutched at his stomach in pain. The wind was knocked out of him, his vision blurry from the force of the hit. Bakugo sheathed his sword as he bent down, rolling Midoriya onto his stomach as he pinned his arms behind his back. Midoriya tried to stay conscious but the force from the hit and the lack of oxygen in his lungs made his vision start to go black as he lost consciousness.

“Kirishima!” Bakugo shouted as he kept his hold on Midoriya. It didn’t take long for Kirishima to show up, Bakugo seeing him appear over the tree line, his red wings flapping behind him. Kirishima landed, his wings disappearing as he made his way over to Bakugo.

“You didn’t kill him, did you?” Kirishima asked as he pulled out the rope from the pouch that was attached to his belt, handing it to Bakugo.

“No, I just knocked the wind out of him. I think he passed out from the lack of oxygen though.” Bakugo said as he started to tie Midoriya’s hands behind his back, seeing as he wasn’t struggling.

“You confirmed it before you attacked him right; that he was coming from the Todoroki castle?” Kirishima asked as he watched Bakugo secure the rope.

“Who do you think I am? Of course I confirmed it damn it. He didn’t say anything fully but he almost slipped up on saying that he was friends with the prince and he lived in the castle with him. The prince must have told him not to mention where he lived because of the possibility of shit like this happening.” Bakugo said as he picked up Midoriya’s sword, placing it in the sheath on Midoriya’s belt. “A lot of good that did him anyway.” Bakugo said as he also grabbed the leather container with the water in it, attaching it to his belt. “I even gave him some good pointers too so it would be more of a fight but that didn’t even help him. The fight was over in two attacks from me. Now hurry up and turn dragon already before someone shows up.” Bakugo said as he picked up Midoriya, throwing him over his shoulder. Kirishima sighed as he turned into a dragon, laying down so Bakugo could climb onto him. Bakugo laid Midoriya down on his stomach in front of him, draping him across Kirishima’s back. Kirishima stood up, giving a good flap of his wings as he started hovering above the ground before taking off from the forest, making their way back to their home.

Midoriya let out a groan as he started to come to. He winced in pain as he tried to move, his stomach still hurting from the hit from the hilt of Bakugo’s sword. Midoriya laid back against the wall behind him. It was cold and hard, feeling the bumps from the unevenness of it against his back, realizing he was leaning against a stone wall. In front of him was a wall of iron bars. There was a door made of iron bars in the center of the wall about fifteen feet in front of him. Midoriya’s eyes went wide as he tried to stand up but he couldn’t. His arms were in shackles, pulled up above his head. He pulled at the shackles as he looked down, seeing his feet were also shackled, a chain connected to them that was connected to a metal loop on the stone floor in front of him. Midoriya saw that his sword and sheath had been taken from his belt, leaving him defenceless. Midoriya started to panic, pulling at the shackles, making the chains echo off the walls in the cell he was in.

“Hello!” Midoriya called out as he struggled. He stopped momentarily so he could try and hear if there was anyone there. He heard footsteps against the stone floor as he saw a figure approached the cell, the light from the torches on the walls illuminating the person. The person had spiky red hair and a set of horns protruding from his head. He wore a red patterned scarf around his neck. He was wearing a grey, sleeveless vest that hung open, exposing his torso. He had a red piece of fabric tied over the matching grey pants he wore and a pair of dark grey boots that came up to his knees. He also wore a grey brace on his left forearm and had two short swords attached to his belt on either side of his hips in sheaths. Midoriya tensed up as the guy approached the cell.

“So you’re awake.” The red haired man spoke. “Don’t worry, I’ll be right back.” he said before he left, leaving down the hall.

“W-wait, where are you going?” Midoriya asked as he struggled against the shackles again. Midoriya leaned his head back against the wall as he sighed. He looked around the cell, seeing that there was a small cot up against the wall to the left of him. There weren’t any windows in the cell, the only light coming from the torches on the walls outside of the cell. He saw some more shackles and chains on the other walls of the cell but other than that there wasn’t really anything else in the room. Midoriya was left alone for a few minutes before he heard two sets of footsteps approaching the cell. Midoriya pushed himself off the wall as much as he could to see who was walking down the hall. He saw Bakugo and the red haired guy approach the cell, stopping in front of the door.

“Nice to see I didn’t kill you with that hit. You’re tougher than you look.” Bakugo said as he crossed his arms, a smile growing across his face.

“He’s gonna be bruised though. You shouldn’t have been so rough with him.” The red haired man said as he looked towards Bakugo with a disappointed look.

“All that matters is that we keep him alive right? So stop your complaining.” Bakugo sneered as he looked at Midoriya.

“Who are you and where am I? What do you want from me?” Midoriya asked as he pulled at the shackles.

“I already told you who I am. This guy here is Kirishima, he’s my dragon.” Bakugo said as he pointed to Kirishima with his thumb.

“Hello.” Kirishima replied in a light tone.

“We’re gonna hold you for ransom. We’ve gotten tight on gold, our hoard not nearly as big as it has been in the past. We found out that you’ve been living in the Todoroki castle on that hill north from the forest.” Midoriya’s eyes went wide as he remembered what Todoroki said about being careful, clearly wishing he had taken his words more seriously. “We’ve been watching you for a while but the prince was always with you whenever you left the castle which was annoying as hell, so we waited for a day when you went out alone.” Bakugo said as he got closer to the cell, leaning against the bars. Midoriya tensed up, pulling against the shackles around his wrist.

“Why me? There are other people in the castle.” Midoriya asked. Bakugo chuckled as he watched Midoriya, who was looking more and more like a small animal trapped in a cage.

“We’ve heard rumors from the people in town that the Prince had taken in a guy a some months back as his lover. It didn’t take us too long to find out it was you, seeing how you guys acted when you thought you were alone in the forest. We knew after that that you would be the one to make us some good money in order for the Prince to get you back.” Bakugo said with an evil grin as he watched the color disappear from Midoriya’s face.

“W-what are you g-going to do to me?” Midoriya stammered, fear starting to take him over.

“We aren’t gonna do anything to you as long as you behave. If the prince cares for you as much as you think he does you should be out of here in a week. After all, all we’re after is the money.” Bakugo said as he pushed himself off the iron bars. “Even though your scared face is kind of cute.” Bakugo said as he slowly licked his bottom lip. Midoriya tensed up, pressing his back against the wall as if to try and get away. Bakugo let out a chuckle as he watched his movements.

“Don’t scare the kid too much Katsuki.” Kirishima conceded.

“Whatever. Just get him ready for bed, it’s already night out. I’ll be in my chamber, join me after you’re done.” Bakugo said as he started to leave, making his way down the hall.

“Yes master.” Kirishima said as he pulled a ring of keys out of the pouch on his belt. He put one of the keys into the lock on the door, unlocking it. He pulled the key out as he opened the door, entering the cell. Midoriya tensed up as Kirishima made his way over to him. “Don’t worry. I won’t hurt you.” Kirishima reassured him as he slowly made his way over to Midoriya.

“Okay.” Midoriya said sheepishly as Kirishima removed the shackles around Midoriya’s ankles, Midoriya pulling his legs into his chest. Kirishima stood up as he made his way over to the right wall grabbing a pair of shackles off the wall. There was a small chain that was about a few inches long holding the cuffs together. Kirishima made his way back over to Midoriya, setting the cuffs down on the floor next to him. Kirishima unlocked one of the shackles around Midoriya’s wrist as he picked up the cuffs, locking one of the shackles around his freed wrist. Kirishima freed his other wrist from the shackle before placing the other cuff around his wrist, letting his arms rest in front of his body.

“Can you stand up?” Kirishima asked as he held out a hand for Midoriya. Midoriya nodded as he grabbed Kirishima’s hand, Kirishima pulling him up. Kirishima led him over to the cot in the room, Midoriya sitting down as Kirishima attached the shackle that was resting on the floor to Midoriya’s left ankle. The chain was connected to a hook on the floor, the chain having enough give for him to lay down or get up and walk around a few feet. “I brought you a pillow and an extra blanket because it can get kind of cold in here.” Kirishima said in a caring tone.

“Thank you.” Midoriya said in a small voice. Kirishima smiled lightly as he stood up.

“I’ll bring you some food in the morning, just make sure you try and get some rest. Like Katsuki said, you’ll probably only be here for a week at most. We won’t hurt you so you can relax.” Kirishima said as he put the keys back into the pouch on his belt. “Goodnight.” Kirishima said as he made his way to the door of the cell. He closed it, pulling the keys back out to lock it before putting them away again.

“Night.” Midoriya said as he laid down, pulling the blanket over himself as he curled up on the cot. Kirishima smiled again lightly before he left, Midoriya hearing his footsteps disappear down the hall, leaving him in silence.

“Is he taken care of?” Bakugo asked as Kirishima entered the room, shutting the door behind him.

“Yes.” Kirishima replied. “You shouldn’t be so mean to the kid. He’s terrified of you.” Kirishima said as he made his way over to the big bed in the room, sitting down.

“Why do you care? You were the one who came up with the idea in the first place.” Bakugo said as he took off his cape, hanging it on a hook on the wall in the room. Bakugo undressed, taking off everything except his pants.

“I know, but that doesn’t mean we have to scare the kid half to death.” Kirishima said as he watched Bakugo make his way over to him. “You don’t plan on doing anything to him do you? We’re just holding him for the money.” Kirishima asked as Bakugo started to remove Kirishima’s scarf, exposing his neck.

“Now why would I do anything to him when I have you?” Bakugo asked as he leaned down, kissing at Kirishima’s neck.

“Because I know how much you hate the prince for what he did. I moved on, you should too.” Kirishima said as Bakugo bit down on his neck, earning a moan from him.

“Shut up Eijirou, you’re ruining the mood.” Bakugo said as he pushed Kirishima down, his back landing against the bed. Kirishima could hear the anger in his voice but decided to leave it at that, not wanting to anger him more. Bakugo started to kiss and bite at Kirishima’s neck as his hands wandered across his chest. Kirishima let out a moan as he felt Bakugo’s fingers graze his nipples. Bakugo smirked to himself as he pulled himself off Kirishima. “Strip.” Bakugo commanded as he climbed off the bed. Kirishima collected himself before he got off the bed, removing all his clothes, leaving himself fully exposed to Bakugo. Bakugo motioned to the bed with his head once Kirishima was fully undressed, Kirishima climbing back on.

“Today is a day to celebrate.” Bakugo said as he pulled his pants off, joining Kirishima on the bed. Kirishima laid down against the bed as Bakugo started to suck little purple marks on his neck, earning a moan from Kirishima as he wrapped his arms around Bakugo. Bakugo started to leave little kisses down his neck and chest. He let out a breath of hot air over one of Kirishima’s nipples, making him gasp at the sensation. Bakugo lowered his head, biting lightly at Kirishima’s right nipple as his hand played with the other, twisting the pink nub around in his fingers. Kirishima moaned as he bit his lip from the sensation. Bakugo played with his nipples for a few minutes before he started to leave a trail of kisses and bites down Kirishima’s chest and stomach. Kirishima felt Bakugo’s breath ghost over his half hard erection, making him shiver at the feeling.

“Katsuki.” Kirishima moaned as he felt Bakugo lick at the tip of his cock, his hand slowly pumping him as he did so. Bakugo slowly took the head of his cock into his mouth, swirling his tongue around as Kirishima threw his head back, his hands grabbing tightly at the sheets. Bakugo started to bob his head, taking more and more of Kirishima in, feeling him harden in his mouth. Once Kirishima was fully hard, Bakugo pulled himself off Kirishima with a pop. Bakugo reached for the small bottle of oil that was sitting on the table next to the bed.

“Roll over and get on your hands and knees.” Bakugo ordered as he removed the lid, pouring some of the oil onto his hand. Kirishima did as he was told, his hips twitching in anticipation as he felt a slick finger brush against his hole. Kirishima let out a moan as he felt a finger slowly push past the ring of muscle. Bakugo slowly started to thrust his finger in and out, Kirishima letting out a moan as he felt him move inside him. After Kirishima had adjusted to the intrusion, Bakugo added another finger. Bakugo thrusted his fingers in, searching for the bundle of nerves. He hooked his fingers, grazing the spot as Kirishima let out a loud moan, his back arching as Bakugo aimed for his prostate with every thrust of his fingers. He started to scissor him open before adding a third finger, stretching Kirishima.

Once he felt Kirishima was stretched enough, he slowly removed his fingers. Kirishima let out a whine from the loss of the feeling. Bakugo grabbed the bottle of oil again, pouring some more into his hand. He closed the bottle setting it back down on the table by the bed as he slowly stroked himself, slicking up his cock. Once his cock was coated he lined himself up with Kirishima’s hole, Kirishima feeling the tip of Bakugo’s cock pressing against his entrance. Bakugo slowly pushed himself in, letting Kirishima adjust to his size. Once he felt him relax he slowly started to move his hips, almost pulling out completely before thrusting back in hard. Kirishima’s mouth hung open as he let out a moan at the pace Bakugo had started. Bakugo had set a pretty steady pace with his thrusts as he held onto Kirishima’s hips. Kirishima dropped to his elbows as he dropped his head down.

“Katsuki!” Kirishima moaned as he felt the tip of Bakugo’s cock hit his prostate, making him arch his back. Bakugo smirked as he picked up his pace, his thrusts becoming faster. Kirishima dropped his head down as one hand slowly started to make its way to his abandoned cock. Before he could touch himself, Bakugo grabbed his hand.

“Who said you could touch yourself?” Bakugo asked as he pinned Kirishima’s hands behind his back as he continued his assault, his thrusts becoming more forceful. Kirishima let out another loud moan as Bakugo made sure every thrust hit his prostate.

“I..I can’t. I’m gonna...can I come?” Kirishima asked, reaching his breaking point as Bakugo leaned over him, biting at his shoulder.

“I’ll think about it.” Bakugo said as he kept his hold on Kirishima’s arms as he kept his pace. Kirishima moaned as he felt his orgasm building, not able to take it anymore. His orgasm crashed over him, white strings of cum hitting his stomach and the sheets as he let out a loud moan. He buried his face in the sheets as Bakugo let go of his hands to grab at his hips. Bakugo kept thrusting into him, bending over to kiss and bite at Kirishima’s shoulders again.

“Katsuki!” Kirishima moaned, still sensitive from his orgasm. He could feel himself getting hard again as Bakugo kept thrusting into him, his cock grazing his prostate with every thrust.

“You already came? I’m still not done yet.” Bakugo said as he wrapped an arm around Kirishima, bringing his back flush against his chest, his thrusting picking up once again. He bit down on Kirishima’s shoulder as one hand started to play with his left nipple, pinching it as his other hand made its way to Kirishima’s cock, pumping him in time with his thrusts. Kirishima let out a moan from the sensation, feeling the heat build in his groin once again. Bakugo moaned as he felt his orgasm building in him.

“I.. I’m gonna come again!” Kirishima said as Bakugo picked up the pace of his stroking, matching it to his thrusts. Bakugo felt the heat starting to build in his groin as his thrusts became more erratic. Kirishima let out a loud moan as he came, covering Bakugo’s hand and the sheets in cum again. Bakugo felt Kirishima tighten around him as he also reached his orgasm, filling Kirishima with his release. He let Kirishima fall to the bed as he gave a few more thrusts, riding his orgasm out before pulling out. Kirishima laid lifeless on the bed, his breathing heavy as he bathed in the afterglow of his orgasm. Bakugo leaned down, pulling Kirishima into a passionate kiss. Their tongues danced together as Kirishima pulled Bakugo close, wrapping his arms around him.

“Let’s get washed up before you fall asleep.” Bakugo said as he broke their kiss. Kirishima groaned, not wanting to leave the bed, too tired to do anything.

“Don’t wanna.” Kirishima said as he started to drift off.

“Always so difficult. Come here.” Bakugo said as he picked Kirishima up, taking him to their bathroom. Kirishima snuggled his head close to Bakugo’s chest as he wrapped his arms around his neck. The tub was already full and the water was surprisingly still hot as he placed Kirishima into the tub.

“Promise me you won’t do anything stupid.” Kirishima said in a tired tone as Bakugo climbed into the tub with him, cleaning him up.

“I promise. Now let’s get you cleaned up so we can go to sleep. Tomorrow we have a lot to do.” Bakugo said as Kirishima pressed closer to him, enjoying the warmth of the water as he started to doze off.

Chapter Text

A few hours after Midoriya got taken

Todoroki was in his study, going through paperwork and his other princely duties. There had been a sudden rise in travellers that entered the kingdom so shops and business were filling out request forms for a larger inventory to make up for the demand from all the travellers. He was so focused on his work that he didn’t even notice the time, finally taking a break to look out the window towards the forest Midoriya was training in, seeing that the sun had just started to set.

“Has Midoriya made it back from his training yet; it’s about time for dinner?” Todoroki asked his advisor, Momo.

“Not to my knowledge Your Highness.” Momo answered as she collected the finished paperwork from Todoroki’s desk.

“He left in the morning so he should have been back by now.” Todoroki responded, a sudden feeling of unease taking over him. “Tell the stable hand to ready my horse, I’m going to head out and get him now that I’m done with my paperwork.” Todoroki said as he stood up, putting on his dark blue cape as he headed for the door of his study.

“I advise you to not head out alone, at least take a few of the guards with you.” Momo recommended as she followed Todoroki out of the study.

“Alright. I’ll be back.” Todoroki said as he left for the stables. Todoroki mounted his horse, accompanied by four guards as he made his way to the forest. The ride barely took fifteen minutes on horseback as he finally came upon the forest. He slowed his horse down to a trot as he entered the forest, his guards following on horseback behind him. When he entered the clearing where they would train, Midoriya was nowhere to be seen.

“Midoriya!” Todoroki called out as he dismounted his horse, looking around the clearing for him. When he didn’t get a reply he ordered the guards to search the surrounding area as he investigated the clearing. He found Midoriya’s satchel leaning up against a tree, his feeling of unease now turning into worry. A few minutes went by and his guards returned with bad news; Midoriya was nowhere to be found. Todoroki feared that someone must have found out about him staying at the castle and took him captive. The Todoroki’s did have a lot of enemies from the surrounding kingdoms so it was the most logical conclusion of the current situation. Todoroki had mounted his horse once again as he ordered two of his guards to return to the castle and get the guards together for a search party, hoping it wasn’t too late to find him close by. The other two guards joined Todoroki as they left the forest, making their way to the town to ask around if anyone had seen or heard anything suspicious in the forest.

Todoroki searched the town throughout the night until he was advised to head back to the castle and let the guards handle the search. Todoroki reluctantly agreed and made his way back to the castle, accompanied by two guards to make sure he made it back safely. When he had made it back to the castle, people were making flyers to hand out, offering a reward to anyone who knew anything about his whereabouts. That night he was unable to fall asleep, thoughts of what could have happened to Midoriya filling his mind.

Todoroki had somehow managed to get a few hours of sleep even though his mind kept coming up with different scenarios of what could have happened. He couldn’t even escape into his dreams, the images of different scenes making him wake up in a cold sweat, only to fall asleep and repeat the process once again. After he woke up in a cold sweat for the fifth time he decided to just stay awake. He was informed that the guards haven't found any leads yet as to what happened, no one hearing or seeing anything in the forest. It had been a few hours since he woke up before there was a commotion coming from the front door of the castle.

“What’s going on?” Todoroki asked as he made his way over to the door, a guard making his way over to Todoroki from the crowd. The guard approached Todoroki with an envelope in hand. The letter was addressed to him, his title and name being the only thing printed on the envelope. Todoroki took the envelope, making his way to his study with it in hand. Momo and a few guards joined him in the room as he carefully opened the letter. He turned it over looking at the very intricate wax seal with the letter ‘ B ' front and center in the wax. He opened the letter, reading it.

To His Highness, Prince Todoroki Shoto, from an old acquaintance of your kingdom. I hope this letter finds you well, seeing as I have attached it to the front door of your castle. Your guards were surprisingly just as easy for me to get past as before. I have taken your rumored ‘guest’ and am willing to offer a trade in offer for his safe return. I have listed below a meeting location of my choosing and a short list of demands for this meeting. I have picked a place that should hold some significance to you. The old abandoned castle on the edge of the kingdom is where we will be meeting. I will be there waiting, today at sundown, with Midoriya Izuku as proof that we have him. You are to come alone, if you do not adhere to this, I will know and the meeting will cease to happen. You are to be unarmed as well, breaking this condition will also prevent the meeting from happening. I will be at the abandoned castle waiting with Midoriya for you to show. It will be nice to see you again after all this time. Until then, I fare thee well, K. ” Todoroki finished as he stared, dumbfounded by the letter in his hands as he sat down in his chair. A million thoughts began to race through his mind as he stared at the signature on the letter.

“It’s him. After all these years of not hearing from him and he does this to get my attention.” Todoroki said as he looked outside, seeing that sunset was approaching. The meeting location put Todoroki on a time crunch, seeing that he would only be able to make it to the location just in time if he left now. If he had seen the letter sooner he might have had time to plan something before leaving. Todoroki thought he probably did it deliberately to not give him any planning room. Todoroki scoffed to himself as he put his dark blue cape on once more.

“Your Highness, you can’t possibly be thinking about going alone and unarmed.” Momo warned as she followed him through the castle.

“I’ll be fine. This is unfinished business between me and him. Don’t follow me.” Todoroki said as he reached the stables, mounting his white horse. He took off making sure he wasn’t being followed as he started the long journey to the abandoned castle.

The sun was almost completely set, Todoroki seeing the castle in the distance. He flicked the reins, making the horse pick up its pace to make it to the castle in time. After a few more minutes he started to approach the castle, pulling on the reins to make his horse slow down. He passed the front gate of the castle, getting a good look at the ruins. The walls surrounding the castle were completely crumbled, a few pieces of the wall managing to hold its original form.

“Whoa.” Todoroki said as he shifted his weight on the saddle, signaling to the horse to stop. He climbed off the horse as he found a place to tie the reins to to make sure his horse couldn’t run off. Once his horse was secured he got a good look of the castle. Somehow the majority of the castle was still intact, only one of the towers was destroyed, the debris from it covering the ground beneath it. The crest of the castle was still engraved above the front door to the castle, the giant ‘B’ front and center for all to see when they entered. As he approached the door he saw a faint glow of light lighting his way, coming from inside the castle. As he pushed the door open fully he saw that the torches all along the chipped and cracked walls were lit, emanating a soft orange glow to the main hall of the castle. He looked around the hall seeing the cracked pillars that still held the room up, some of the pillars were piles of stone where they used to stand. The main hall was empty, the only sounds being the wind from the outside and the occasional rat or small animal that now made the castle their home. Todoroki was shocked by the state of the castle, not knowing what had happened and why it was in ruins.

“Hello? I came alone and unarmed like you said.” Todoroki exclaimed to the empty room, his voice echoing off the walls. He heard the shuffling of rocks as he saw a figure emerge from behind one of the pillars in the room.

“I can see that you came alone, but I don’t know about unarmed. Take off your cape and prove to me that you are.” Bakugo demanded as he passed one of the torches on a pillar, the orange glow illuminating his face. The look on his face was dominating, sending a shiver down Todoroki’s spine. He didn’t realize that he was truly alone with Bakugo until now with no back up and no weapon. If he wanted to right now, Bakugo could do anything to him and that really terrified him. Todoroki locked away the fear he felt in the back of his mind as he took his cape off, letting the fabric fall to the ground around him. He raised his arms up, turning around slowly so Bakugo could see he was unarmed.

“See, I came alone and unarmed. Now where is Midoriya?” Todoroki asked, miffed by the whole situation as he started to approach Bakugo.

“Hey now, what’s the rush? It’s been a while since we last saw each other. How about we talk a little first?” Bakugo suggested as he made his way over to Todoroki. Todoroki froze in his tracks as Bakugo approached him.

“You’re the one who left two years ago without telling me anything. I had to hear it from my father.” Todoroki said as Bakugo circled him.

“Your father told you I left? Did he also tell you that he attacked this castle and tried to put an end to the Bakugo family?” Bakugo asked; Todoroki’s eyes went wide at that comment. “Judging by that look on your face I’m assuming your father never told you did he?” Bakugo finished as he stopped in front of Todoroki.

“What are you talking about?” Todoroki asked in disbelief. Bakugo let out a chuckle before he continued.

“Your father was getting nowhere with my parents, demanding that they make the dragon shifters listen to his demands. After my parents made it clear that they weren’t going to do what he wanted them to, he took matters into his own hands. After their last meeting didn’t go his way he went home and gathered his army, attacking this castle. After your father killed my parents, he also attacked me as well but I survived thanks to the help of Kirishima, you remember him right? We didn’t get far though, seeing as we were both injured. Your father thought he’d use us to gain the approval of the dragons seeing as they weren’t in favor of your royal family, for good reason too. He kept us prisoners for six months to use as mediaries for talks between our people and yours until we managed to escape. Those six months were filled with hate for our kind, being tortured every day for what we knew and what we were.” Bakugo said as he got closer to Todoroki, Todoroki seeing the anger and hatred in his eyes.

“Why would he do that? I mean-.” Todoroki started before he was cut off.

“What? Did you think we were safe because you and I got along? That your father’s hatred would stop just because his heir and the heir of the dragon masters got along? What story did your father give you to explain why I never came around anymore, about why we never spent the night together anymore?” Bakugo asked, his blood boiling as he continued.

“H-he said that you left to go handle things outside of your kingdom, the dragon shifters upset about how they were being treated by neighboring kingdoms.” Todoroki answered as he thought back to what his dad said.

“Did he also tell you to not enter the dungeon as well?” Bakugo asked as he got closer to Todoroki, encroaching on his personal space. Todoroki closed his eyes as he took a deep breath before replying.

“Yes. He did.” Todoroki admitted, not wanting to believe what Bakugo was saying but everything he said lined up to how his father acted those two years ago. He knew that things were getting heated between the humans and the dragon shifters and he thought that his father was discussing things with Bakugo’s parents to help lessen the tension between the two.

“And of course, you obeyed him like the good little prince you are, didn’t you?” Bakugo asked as his anger finally took him over, grabbing Todoroki by his arms as he forced him backwards until his back his the stone wall of the room. He pinned his arms up on either side of his head as he leaned in closer, his crimson eyes burning with rage. Before anything could happen, Midoriya ran into the room. Kirishima chased after him, grabbing the end of the chain that was attached to the metal collar around Midoriya’s neck. The sudden motion made Midoriya stumble back, coughing from the pressure on his throat.

“Midoriya!” Todoroki exclaimed as he tried to fight back against Bakugo’s hold on him. Aside from the collar around his neck, Midoriya was also gagged by a piece of cloth in this mouth, the ends tied behind the back of his head. His arms were also restrained behind his back. Midoriya was trying to fight the hold Kirishima had on the chain as he tried to make his way over to Todoroki and Bakugo.

“Mhnn!” Midoriya mumbled through the gag as he struggled against the rope tied tightly around his wrists.

“Sorry, I thought I had a good hold on him.” Kirishima said as he kept a firm hold on the chain so it wouldn’t happen again. Bakugo saw the look on Midoriya’s face, his shocked expression priceless as he looked back at Todoroki. Bakugo raised his eyebrows, looking back and forth between the two of them with a huge grin on his face.

“I’m assuming Midoriya over there didn’t know about what your dad did, or about us. Well at least it didn’t take long for both of us to move on. Although I can always make an exception for you.” Bakugo said as the grin turned into a smirk as he leaned in close to Todoroki, roughly pushing their lips together as he forced a kiss on him. Todoroki tried to fight him, trying to release his arms from Bakugo’s hold but he couldn’t over power his strength. When Bakugo tried to work his tongue passed Todoroki’s lips, Todoroki took the opportunity to bite his tongue, making Bakugo pull away from him in pain.

“You’ve had your fun, now release Midoriya.” Todoroki demanded as he rubbed his wrists, seeing the red hand marks from how strong his grip was. Bakugo wiped away the blood that was dripping from the corner of his mouth from the bite on his tongue.

“You’re pretty fucking stupid if you think I’d give him back now after all the trouble I went through. I haven’t gotten anything out of this yet. Don’t you think you owe me after everything that happened? You know, after having both of my parents killed at the hands of your fucking dad, losing my home and being tortured and used. I think I’m entitled to some compensation after everything I went through!” Bakugo exclaimed in anger, hurt and frustration, his emotions getting the better of him. Everyone in the room was shocked by his outburst, not knowing how to reply.

“Katsuki…” Kirishima started before he was cut off.

“Don’t. Start.” Bakugo said as he collected himself, looking towards Kirishima with anger still on his face. “Here’s how this is going to go down.” Bakugo said as he turned his attention back to Todoroki. “I’m going to hold on to Midoriya as insurance until you pay us five-hundred thousand gold pieces to get him back.” Bakugo finished as he collected himself somewhat.

“How do you expect me to come up with that?! Do you have any idea how long it will take to gather that many gold pieces?” Todoroki protested in disbelief at the amount he was demanding.

“I can wait as long as it takes. I’ve waited two years already so what’s a little more time anyway?” Bakugo replied as he made his way over to Kirishima and Midoriya. “Until you pay, we’ll be holding on to him. The faster you come up with the money, the sooner you get him back. Unless you don’t care about what happens to him.” Bakugo said as he wrapped an arm around Midoriya’s waist to enunciate his point as he shot Todoroki a wicked look.

“Fine. Fine, I’ll figure out how to come up with the money just don’t do anything to him. Promise me his safety and I’ll get you your money.” Todoroki replied, knowing his back was up against the wall.

“I promise.” Bakugo replied, releasing his hold on Midoriya. “I’ll give you two weeks to come up with the money. We’ll meet here again, two weeks from now, after sundown.” Bakugo demanded.

“It’s going to take longer than two weeks to come up with the money.” Todoroki implored.

“Then, give us what you can after two weeks and we’ll go from there until the full amount is paid. After which we will return your precious lover.” Bakugo said as he started to walk away, Kirishima and Midoriya following behind him. “Good luck, see you in two weeks.” Bakugo said as he exited the main hall of the castle, waving his hand goodbye as he disappeared into the darkness of the castle along with Kirishima and Midoriya.

Todoroki was left alone in the main hall, the faint orange glow coming from the torches seemed to dim as he collapsed to his knees. He was in shock from what Bakugo had told him about his dad and what he had done. His dad wasn’t the greatest but could he really have done all that to him? Were things between the dragon shifters and his family that bad that it escalated to the point of him executing everyone in the Bakugo family and attacking the dragon shifters within the kingdom? There was only one way to find out, Todoroki thought as he stood up, picking his cape back up off the ground as he made his way out of the castle and over to his horse. He had to confront his father directly if he was to confirm anything. Until he finds out the truth he has to figure out a way to come up with such a large amount of money.

Chapter Text

It had been four days since the meeting at the ruins of the old Bakugo castle on the outskirts of the kingdom. Todoroki was working on a way to get the five-hundred thousand gold pieces Bakugo was asking for. As he was working on this, he received word that his father was returning from his conference with one of the neighboring kingdoms that night. Todoroki decided that when his father returned he was going to ask him about what really happened those two years ago.

A few hours had passed when he had received word that his father had just made it back. Todoroki left his study as he made his way to the main hall of the castle, seeing his father being escorted to his study by his advisors as they filled him in on what has been happening with the kingdom since he had left. Todoroki followed behind them, waiting for his advisors to leave him alone. Todoroki waited in the hallway as he watched his father and his advisors enter his father’s study. About half an hour had passed before he saw his father’s advisors leave. Once the advisors left the hall, Todoroki made his way over to the door of his dad’s study. He knocked on the door, waiting for a response.

“Come in.” Enji answered, sounding irritated. Todoroki took a deep breath before opening the door.

“May I have a few moments of your time?” Todoroki asked as he entered the room, shutting the door behind him.

“It better be quick Shoto, I have a lot of work to catch up on since I’ve been gone.” Enji said as he sat down in his chair behind his desk, looking over the few stacks of paper that had been piling up since his absence. Todoroki was thankful that only his advisor and a few of the guards knew about the incident with Midoriya, making sure to keep it a secret from his father so he didn’t have time to try and come up with a story to give him when he finally could confront him about it.

“Do you remember Bakugo Katsuki?” Todoroki asked as he stood a few feet away from Enji’s desk. Enji’s brows raised at the mention of the name.

“Isn’t that the heir to the Bakugo royal family from the next kingdom over? The son of Mitsuki and Masaru; what about him?” Enji asked, putting on a guise of normality so Todoroki didn’t suspect anything just like last time.

“Well he got in contact with me.” Todoroki stated as he watched his dad’s movements. Enji looked up from his papers as he turned his attention to Todoroki.

“So he’s finally back from handling things with the dragon shifters?” Enji asked as he picked up another piece of paper, reading over it.

“He told me something interesting that I didn’t know.” Todoroki said as he started to get a bit more relaxed as he talked.

“What are you talking about, Shoto?” Enji asked as he focused all of his attention on Todoroki now.

“Apparently he wasn’t off dealing with the dragon shifters. He told me that you attacked his castle, killing his parents and taking him and his dragon hostage for six months.” Todoroki confessed, watching his father’s reactions.

“Come now, don’t be ridiculous. Why would I do that? It’s obvious that he’s trying to elicit a reaction from you.” Enji scoffed, laughing at the accusation.

“See, I thought the same thing too, that is until I saw the castle for myself. It was completely in ruins and the only things living there were rodents and small animals; clearly it’s been abandoned for a while. He told me that you were pushing for unlawful regulations against the dragon shifters. His parents, being the ones who looked after the shifters and gave them a place in society while you were trying to take it away, kept denying your attempts to try and control them. You may rule this kingdom but you can’t start forcing laws on a territory and a people you didn’t have reign over. So after they refused you for the last time you got angry, like you always do, and decided to attack their castle while they were unprepared. You killed his parents right in front of him before trying to kill him! Fortunately he managed to escape thanks to Kirishima but seeing as they were both injured they couldn’t get far. That’s when you decided it would be better to hold them hostage and use them for your own gain to try and control the dragon shifters in both kingdoms. Finally after being used and abused for six months, they managed to escape. You even made sure that I couldn’t enter the dungeons during that time!” Todoroki shouted, getting it all out, all the anger that he didn’t know he had built up inside of him this entire time. Enji was quiet, a silent rage growing in him as his heir accused him of such horrendous acts.

“You’re going to take the word of some dragon master over your own father? You can’t trust his kind, someone who works with such an unsightly race of creatures. They are a dangerous kind and need to be treated as such! What the Bakugo’s were doing was trying to assimilate them into society when they should have been locked away. They refused to see my point so I decided to prove to them how wrong they were. At that time the shifters were on the verge of an uprising and thanks to me that never happened.” Enji explained as he stood up from behind his desk, slamming a fist down on its surface. He stood up straight, holding himself with a certain sense of pride after he finished that last sentence.

“How can you say that?! They may be shifters but they are still human as well and deserve to be treated as such! Thanks to you Bakugo went and took Midoriya as a hostage until, as he put it, he is compensated for everything that happened. Thanks to you I have to figure out a way to come up with five hundred thousand gold pieces to get him back! Why am I the one who has to pay for your choices?!” Todoroki argued back, taking a step closer to his father’s desk.

“What did you just say to me?” Enji asked as he got close to Todoroki, towering over him. Todoroki could see the rage that was beginning to grow across his face. His turquoise eyes were inflamed with anger. “Everything I’ve done has been for the betterment of the kingdom! Both of your siblings couldn’t handle the title of heir because they were too weak to make the tough choices you have to make to be a ruler. I raised you by my side for twenty-two years, making you the perfect heir to take my place. Yet you went ahead behind my back and started messing around with that dragon master. Did you think I didn’t know what you were doing? You say it was the fault of my choices, but who here is really to blame? I couldn’t have word spreading through the kingdom about your-” Enji paused. “Lifestyle choices, let alone the fact that it was a dragon master no less. Things were reaching a breaking point at that time so I did what I had to do!” Enji finished as he glared down at Todoroki. Todoroki’s eyes went wide at what he said.

“So you’re saying it’s my fault you took out the Bakugo’s? I was trying to make things better between our kingdoms! You cannot blame me for what you did. You made that choice on your own, and because of that Midoriya is being held for ransom! This all happened because you’re a disgrace of a ruler, and a disgrace of a father!” Todoroki exclaimed. That was the last straw. Enji raised his hand, slapping Todoroki hard enough across the face to make him fall to the stone floor of the room. Todoroki was in shock for a few seconds before he reached a hand up to his cheek, feeling the sting starting to build from the hit just from a light touch as he looked up at his father.

“If anyone is the disgrace here, it’s you.” Enji said as he looked down at Todoroki on the floor. “First it was the dragon master, now it’s this Midoriya kid who’s barely trained enough to use a sword and yet you appointed him as your head knight. Why must you ruin everything that I’ve done for you? I thought I raised you better than I did your siblings, now I see that I was wrong. We must go back to square one and work our way back up again. Let that disgrace of a human keep that kid, both of them have done nothing but ruin the perfect heir I raised you to be.” Enji said as he turned his back on Todoroki. “If you try to pay that dragon master to get that kid back, I will consider it an act of treason against the kingdom and you will be punished thoroughly for your crimes.” Enji said as he looked over his shoulder at Todoroki, bringing his arms behind his back.

“Act of treason? That would be on you for not helping rescue a member of the castle. What do you think the people of the kingdom will say when the find out you’re refusing to rescue one of your own? How do you think they will react when they find out the reason behind why he was taken? Do you think the people will stay loyal to you after that?” Todoroki smirked as he started to stand up. His father chuckled as he turned around to face Todoroki, his face suddenly going devoid of emotion. Todoroki started to lose all the confidence that he had built up when he saw that look in his father’s eyes, one that sent a shiver all throughout Todoroki’s body. Enji suddenly reached out, placing a hand around Todoroki’s throat. Todoroki’s mouth opened wide trying to gasp for air as his hands reflexively reached for his father’s arm and hand, trying to pry it off. His father raised him a few inches up off the ground as he looked at the strained face Todoroki was making.

“What did you just say? Are you trying to go against your King and your kingdom? This can be taken as an act of high treason. You could be locked in the dungeon for this, or worse.” Enji said as he watched Todoroki struggle against his grip. “You know, this act of defiance of yours is starting to become a very big problem. I think a week in that room in the dungeon should suffice. That way you can think about your actions.” Enji said as he watched Todoroki’s eyes go wide at the statement, halting his struggles.

No! He can’t be talking about that room!' Todoroki thought as his father smiled at his reaction, releasing his grip on him. Todoroki fell to the floor, grabbing at his throat as he coughed, trying to get air back into his lungs.

“I think that’s a suitable punishment for your behavior tonight.” Enji said as he made his way back behind his desk, sitting down. “Guards!” Enji shouted. A few seconds went by before the door opened, two guards entering the room.

“Yes, Your Majesty?” One guard asked as they stood at attention before Enji.

“Take His Highness here to the room at the bottom of the stairs in the dungeon, down the end of the hall to the right. We haven’t used that room in a few years but you should know which one I’m talking about. Tell the overseer of the dungeon to get the room prepared for His Highness, he’ll know what to do. Station two guards outside the door when you bring him there. He will be staying in that room for a week to think about his actions this evening, I can handle the rest from there.” Enji finished as he picked up a couple of papers from his desk, looking them over with an uncaring expression on his face.

“Yes, Your Majesty.” The guards said in unison as they made their way over to Todoroki, each one picking him up by an arm.

“No! You can’t do this!” Todoroki shouted with panic in his voice, his expression becoming filled with panic as well as he struggled against the hold the guards had on him.

“Oh, but I can Shoto. You need some time alone to think over your behavior from this evening so we don’t have something like this happening again.” Enji replied as he kept looking over the papers in his hands, not even acknowledging Todoroki with a look as the guards escorted him out of the room. Todoroki was kicking and screaming, fear taking over his mind and body at the thought of being locked in that room for a week as the guards closed the door to this study behind them.

“Now, to focus on that dragon master. So you’ve finally made your move, after all this time. Should I take this as your declaration of war? This time I won’t make the same mistake twice, Bakugo Katsuki.” Enji declared to himself out loud, a smirk growing over his face as he worked on his paperwork.

Outside one of the windows to Enji’s study was Kirishima. Bakugo had asked him to keep an eye on things at the Todoroki castle. Kirishima was using his wings to hover next to the window, thankful that he was concealed by the darkness of the night so he wouldn't be noticed.

“Well, looks like Bakugo was right about two things.” Kirishima whispered to himself as he increased his wing speed, flying up and over the castle, heading back to his and Bakugo’s castle. “Things are about to get real interesting.” Kirishima said to himself as he continued back to the castle.

_____________________________________________

The journey back from the Todoroki castle wasn’t long. Kirishima landed on the balcony of Bakugo’s bedroom, his wings disappearing as he entered the room. As he looked around he noticed Bakugo wasn’t there, so he figured he was down in the dungeon with Midoriya. Seeing how late it was he was probably doing his last check before calling it a night. Kirishima made his way out of the room and down the stairs, making his way to the dungeon. He reached the dungeon, making his way over to Bakugo who was standing outside of Midoriya’s cell, locking the door to the cell.

“Katsuki!” Kirishima exclaimed as he jogged over to Bakugo. Bakugo shot him a glare as he turned to face him.

“What? What’s going on? Did you find out anything.” Bakugo asked, completely ignoring the fact that they were talking in front of Midoriya’s cell.

“Well, you were right about two things.” Kirishima answered as he calmed his breathing.

“What two things?” Bakugo asked as Midoriya listened in to their conversation. Midoriya was sitting on the cot in his cell, his arms restrained in from of him in cuffs as they rested in his lap. A shackle was locked around his left ankle that was connected to a few feet of chain before being secured to a metal loop fastened to the floor of the cell by the bed.

“You were right about Todoroki confronting his father about what happened when he returned to the castle.” Kirishima started before Midoriya spoke up.

“Todoroki’s father is back from his visit to the neighboring kingdom?” Midoriya answered with a slight smile of relief on his face. Maybe now he’ll be rescued, Midoriya thought to himself. Bakugo turned to face him, seeing the slight smile Midoriya had.

“Considering Kirishima has something else to say, I wouldn’t quite get your hopes up if I were you.” Bakugo said as he turned his attention back to Kirishima.

“He took our taking of Midoriya as your declaration of war against him. He said he wasn’t going to make the same mistake twice.” Kirishima said as Bakugo smirked, knowing he would take the bait.

“I knew it.” Bakugo declared.

“Ummm, that’s not all.” Kirishima announced. Bakugo raised an eyebrow at Kirishima but listened intently as he signalled with his hand for Kirishima to continue speaking. Kirishima gulped loudly before he continued, shooting Midoriya an apologetic look before speaking. “After Todoroki confronted his father about what happened, his father snapped. He told him that if he tried to see us or give us the ransom money that it will be considered an act of treason against him and the kingdom. Things got heated from there, Todoroki calling his father out for his injustices, calling him a disgrace to the kingdom. Then his father said Todoroki was a disgrace for working with dragon masters and dragon shifters, also stating that he knew what was happening between Todoroki and you.” Kirishima paused briefly, giving Midoriya another apologetic look. “He also said that he could care less what happened to Midoriya, saying he was corrupting Todoroki as well. Todoroki tried to defend both you and Midoriya but his father flipped out, saying how he spent twenty years making him the perfect heir only to have it ruined by both of you. That’s when things got really heated and he slapped Todoroki hard enough to send him to the floor from the force.” Kirishima paused, feeling guilty from just watching and not stepping in, he knew he couldn’t but he wished he had done something.

“What?” Midoriya asked in disbelief as he started to tremble.

“After that Todoroki lost it saying that his father would fall out of public favor if he didn’t try to save someone who had been taken from the castle, and that it would be even worse if word got out as to why we had taken Midoriya. That’s when his father grabbed him by the throat, choking him as he yelled at him for trying to go against him and his kingdom, saying that what Todoroki was threatening to do would be considered an act of high treason. That when his father brought up locking Todoroki in some room for a week in the dungeon at the bottom of a flight of stairs that hasn’t been used in a few years. He ordered two guards to stand watch outside the door and to get the overseer of the dungeon to get the room ready for him. After that his father said he would handle everything else.” Kirishima finished as he looked up at Bakugo and Midoriya, both of them sharing a similar look of shock at what Kirishima said. Midoriya stood up and started to approach the door to his cell, not even being able to make it halfway to the door thanks to the shackle around his ankle.

“You have to do something! If you and Todoroki have a past like you claim you do, you know what that room is, and what effect it has on him! I know you probably don’t care about me or him, but even if you still care for him at all, even if it's just the tiniest amount, you need to help him, please!” Midoriya begged as he pulled at the shackle around his ankle hard enough to leave a bruise later. Kirishima watched the worried look disappear from Bakugo’s face as he started to walk away.

“I don’t half to do anything. He brought that on himself.” Bakugo stated, Kirishima picking up the worry in his voice that he was trying to fight against.

“Bakugo, please! Please, I’m begging you! You have to help him!” Midoriya exclaimed, collapsing to his knees, ignoring the pain from hitting the hard, stone floor as tears started to form in the corner of his eyes. Midoriya looked to Kirishima, pleading with his eyes as he couldn’t trust his voice right then as he looked at him from the floor of the cell.

“Kirishima!” Bakugo exclaimed from the end of the hallway before Kirishima could say anything. Kirishima just gave Midoriya a remorseful look before he ran down the hall to join Bakugo. When he was alone, Midoriya finally broke, allowing his tears to flow down his freckled cheeks as he placed his head in his hands. Kirishima could hear his sobs as him and Bakugo climbed the stairs. Kirishima saw Bakugo clench his fists at his sides as they left the dungeon. The only sound to be heard as they were leaving were the sounds of Midoriya’s cries echoing off the stone walls.

“Poor little Todoroki Shoto.” Enji said as he walked around the room. It was a small room, maybe fifteen feet by fifteen feet in size. The walls and floor were stone which made the temperature of the room cooler. There were no windows anywhere, making the room dark and the air stale. The only light in the room came from a few lanterns that hung from hooks on the walls. There was no furniture or cot in the room, just a wool blanket laying on the floor near the left wall of the room as you enter. In the middle of the room, lit up by the faint glow emanating from the lanterns was Todoroki. His arms were pulled up over his head, rope tied around his wrists. The end of the rope was looped through a hook that was attached to the ceiling. From the ceiling, the rope continued to a final hook in the middle of the wall behind him, tied off in a knot to keep his arms in place. The rope held him up high enough that his feet barely touched the floor. He was stripped of all his clothes except for his pants, exposing the bruises and cuts that covered his torso. Todoroki assumed it had been a few days since he had been brought to the room, but he wasn't sure seeing as he had no way of knowing from within the cold, dark room how much time had passed.

“This is what happens when you try to go against me.” Enji said as he struck Todoroki on his side with the riding crop in his hand. Todoroki let out a yelp from the strike, feeling a sharp sting grow across his side from the impact. Enji’s strikes were consistent, never lessening in the amount of force used behind them. Todoroki was unsure how much more of this his body could take. There wasn’t any place on his torso that wasn’t bruised or covered in cuts from the whippings. His arms were starting to go numb from being held up above his head for so long, the stiffness in his muscles was painful anytime he tried to move them. Enji struck him again across his chest, earning another scream from Todoroki. Todoroki could feel tears starting to gather in the corners of his eyes as the sting from the hit grew, feeling it spread across his whole chest.

“Don’t you have something to say to me Shoto?” Enji asked as he walked behind Todoroki, another strike from the crop coming down across his back. Todoroki screamed as his back arched in pain from the strike, his body shaking in pain.

“I-I’m sorry… it w-won’t happen again.” Todoroki stuttered out, feeling the tears start to fall down his cheeks.

“What was that?” Enji asked as he struck him again against his back.

“It won’t happen again, Your Majesty.” Todoroki restated as his body trembled from the pain. Enji seemed pleased with that as he made his way back in front of Todoroki. Todoroki had his head hanging down as his chest rose and fell unevenly, more tears making their way down his face.

“Good. It seems you’re starting to learn your lesson. I’ll be back again tomorrow to continue our lessons.” Enji said as he made his way over to the door, knocking on it twice. Todoroki heard the door get unlocked before it opened, showing one of the two guards that were standing outside. “Get him down for the night. I’ll be heading to my study for a while before I retire for the night. Make sure he’s taken care of.” Enji said before he left the room, making his way down the hall.

“Yes, Your Majesty.” Both guards replied before they entered the room. One guard grabbed Todoroki by his waist as the other made his way to where the rope was tied on the back wall, untying it. Todoroki practically collapsed against the guard holding him as his arms were released, falling in front of him. He winced in pain as the guard began untying the rope from his wrist. Todoroki only had a few moments to move his arms around before they were pulled behind his back, Todoroki feeling the rope brush against the fresh rope burn around his wrists from struggling against the rope. The guard secured the rope tightly before grabbing the few feet of extra rope, tying it around one of the hooks on the left wall of the room by the blanket on the floor. The guards helped escort Todoroki over to the blanket, helping him sit down before they draped the blanket over his shoulders, covering him. Once he was all set, one guard put out all of the lanterns except one as the other made his way over to the door. Once they were all set, they left the room as they shut the door behind them, Todoroki hearing them lock it back up.

Todoroki leaned back against the stone wall as he watched the flame flicker within the lantern that hung next to him on the wall. He winced in pain as the newly forming bruises and cuts brushed against the blanket and wall. The strain in his arms was still there but it was slightly more bearable than before. He had no idea how much more of this he could take. It had been years since the last time he had been brought to this room so any resistance he had built up against all ot this all those years ago was gone now. He never remembered the pain being this bad. It was so painful he could barely move without a jolt of pain coursing through his whole body. He didn’t know how many more days he was going to be locking in this room for but he hoped that it was almost over.

The same night, at the new Bakugo castle

Bakugo was sitting at his desk in his room going over his plans when Kirishima entered. Bakugo kept his attention on the papers in front of him when Kirishima started to approach him.

“Going over the attack plans?” Kirishima asked as he placed a hand on the back of the chair Bakugo was sitting in.

“Yeah.” Bakugo replied, barely listening to Kirishima as he looked through his notes. Kirishima let out a sigh as he left his side, making his way to the bed.

“Maybe this isn’t the right way to go about things. I heard what the king said, he doesn’t seem to really care about the fact we have Midoriya. And the only person who did care can’t do anything about it. Maybe we should just let the poor kid go.” Kirishima said as he started to undress, taking his scarf and vest off. Kirishima’s statement elicited a laugh from Bakugo.

“Yes, because sending him back to the castle seems like a great idea. You said it yourself, you heard what he said about him. Believe it or not, he’s actually better off here.” Bakugo said as he kept his attention on the papers in front of him.

“Then why don’t we let him out of the dungeon? We have plenty of spare rooms we can use. At this point I don’t even think he’ll try to escape after hearing all that. He looks so disheartened now.” Kirishima said in an empathetic tone as he placed his scarf and vest on one of the hooks on the wall by their bed. Bakugo raised his head as he turned to face Kirishima.

“No, he’s still a useful bargaining chip. We just need to figure out the right way to use him.” Bakugo said as he looked down at his papers. Suddenly his head shot up, making Kirishima raise an eyebrow at the sudden action.

“Katsuki?” Kirishima asked, suddenly filled with curiosity.

“Why didn’t I think of that before? That will certainly get his attention.” Bakugo said as he suddenly stood up, making his way across the room to the door.

“Katsuki, where are you going? What will get whose attention?” Kirishima asked flustered by his sudden words and actions.

“I’m heading out for a bit. I want you to stay here, that’s an order.” Bakugo commanded as he put on his red cape, grabbing the handle to the door.

“Yes, Master.” Kirishima replied discouragingly as he sat down on the edge of the bed, watching Bakugo shut the door behind him as he left the room. “I hate when he does that.” Kirishima stated to himself as he collapsed against the bed, laying down on his back.

Bakugo made his way over to the stagecoach that was parked next to the stables. He opened the door to the coach, tossing in a leather satchel before shutting the door. He made his way to the front of the stagecoach, climbing up onto the box. Thankfully the horses haven’t been retired to the stables for the night yet. He grabbed the reins and flicked them, the horses starting a trot as they pulled the stagecoach down the road, leaving the castle grounds.

The ride into the Todoroki kingdom wasn’t all that long, maybe about three hours at most by horse. As Bakugo started to get close to the castle he slowed the horses down. Eventually he brought the horses to a full halt near a thicket that was about half a mile away from the castle. He was thankful that with how late it was that no one was out walking around as he grabbed the leather satchel out of the stagecoach, slinging it over his shoulder. After about ten minutes he began to approach the Todoroki castle. He followed the wall surrounding the castle until he was at the back of the castle. Bakugo started to climb his way up the stone wall, checking out his surroundings. When he saw the coast was clear he pulled himself up the wall, jumping down behind the stables that were near the wall. He hid behind them as he watched a pair of guards make their way to the back entrance of the castle. He though Enji would have more guards covering the grounds of the castle seeing as Bakugo made his presence known to him.

“This should be easier than I thought.” Bakugo chuckled in a whisper to himself. Once the guards entered the castle he started to approach the door. When he made it to the door he slowly opened it, looking in. The two guards that he saw were making their way down the hall. Bakugo slowly entered, picking up some of the conversation they were having.

“Why is it we have to get stuck with guarding the cell?” One guard asked as he left the hall, making his way to the main hall of the castle.

“Listen I don’t want to do this either, I’d rather be asleep right now too but orders are orders.” The other guard replied as Bakugo followed at a safe distance behind them. The second guard groaned as they started heading for the hall that was to the left of the main room of the castle. Bakugo checked his surroundings before he ran after the guards as they left down the hall. He kept his distance making sure not to be spotted as he followed the guards down to the dungeon. At the entrance of the dungeon the two guards stopped by a small room, knocking on the door.

“We’re here to relieve the guards guarding His Highness.” One of the guards said.

“Alright, His Highness it down the hall to your left; when you reach the end of the hall, take a right and follow the stairs down. Two guards are outside of the room. You’ll know it when you see it.” The dungeon overseer replied as the two guards nodded, shutting the door. They left down the hall, Bakugo following behind them.

“Crap, I have to use the bathroom. I’ll catch up with you shortly.” One guard said as he made his way back to the overseer’s room. Bakugo reacted quickly, hiding himself down one of the dark hallways as the guard passed by, entering the overseer’s room. Bakugo waited for the door to close before he made his way back to the other guard, following him as he came upon the room. Bakugo ducked behind one of the halls as he watched the new guard collect the keys for the room from the other guards. They exchanged a few words before the other guards left their posts, making their way back to the overseer. The guard attached the keys to his waist as he stood in front of the door. Bakugo took a deep breath before charging the guard, putting him in a headlock. The guard tried to struggle but eventually gave up, passing out from the lack of oxygen. Bakugo quietly placed the guard down off to the side of the door. He pulled the keys off his waistband, unlocking the cell door. Todoroki woke up to the sound of the door opening as Bakugo entered the room.

“Bakugo?! How did you get into the castle? More importantly what are you doing here?” Todoroki asked as he sat up, Bakugo making his way over to him as he removed the satchel, setting it down beside him. Bakugo smiled as he pulled his dagger out of the sheath on his belt.

“You think getting yourself locked away would break our arrangement?” Bakugo whispered as he cut the rope that was tied to the hook on the wall, leaving Todoroki’s wrists restrained behind his back.

“What on earth? You are aware that if the guards show up, you won’t make it out of here alive.” Todoroki stated as Bakugo sheathed his dagger, opening the satchel.

“I know that. Now do me a favor and stay quiet for me.” Bakugo said as he pulled out a piece of cloth, placing it in Todoroki’s mouth, tying the ends behind his head. Todoroki tried to struggle but his body was too sore to put up much of a fight. “Don’t struggle, I don’t have much time. Like you said, if I get caught all of this will be for not.” Bakugo said as he untied the few feet of rope that was still tied to the hook. He used the rope, tying it around Todoroki’s ankles before he picked his satchel back up, draping it over his shoulder. “Now you’ll be much easier to carry out of here.” Bakugo said as he grabbed Todoroki, throwing him over his shoulder. Todoroki groaned out in pain as the pressure from Bakugo’s shoulder cut into the bruises and cuts on his stomach. “Shh!” Bakugo said as he held onto Todoroki’s legs as he made his way out of the cell, climbing up the stairs carefully. He checked the hall seeing that it was clear for now.

“It will be too risky carrying you back the way I came. There has to be another exit down here right?” Bakugo asked, not really expecting much of an answer from Todoroki.

“Go straight.” Todoroki managed to say through the gag as he allowed himself to be manhandled. Bakugo listened, following the hall in front of them once he made sure the coast was clear.

“Now where?” Bakugo asked once he reached the end of the hall.

“Left.” Todoroki replied through the gag. Bakugo looked down the hall before leaving cover. When he reached the end of the hall he reached a set of stairs, climbing up. He looked out from the stairway seeing a guard open a door, entering the dungeon. The dim light coming from the open door had to be moonlight.

“That the exit?” Bakugo asked, Todoroki mumbled out a confirmation as Bakugo waited for the guard to leave the hall. Once the coast was clear Bakugo made his way over to the door, opening it. Now that he was back outside, he gave the area a look over. He was back out in the castle grounds. When he noticed the stables to the left of him he knew where he was.

“Should have entered this door if it would have lead right to the dungeon.” Bakugo replied in a whisper as he watched the guards that were walking around outside. When they rounded the corner of the castle he slowly made his way out of cover. When he had the chance when no one was looking, he ran for the stables, making his way behind them. He made sure that no one was by the stables as he sat Todoroki down on the ground. He took a break for a few moments as he looked for a way to climb up and over the wall now that he had some extra baggage to get over the wall as well. He looked along the wall until his found a pile of crates that were placed against the wall. Todoroki tried to struggle against the bonds as Bakugo tested the crates to see if they were sturdy enough to support him. A shiver made its way throughout Todoroki’s body, his upper body getting goosebumps from the chill of the night. He was kind of wishing that Bakugo had grabbed the blanket as well, even if it was itchy and uncomfortable, at least it would be better than being completely exposed to the elements.

“We should hurry, before they notice you’re missing.” Bakugo said as he grabbed Todoroki, throwing him over his shoulder again. Bakugo made his way over to the pile of crates, climbing up them. When he reached the top of the wall, he quickly and carefully jumped down. Todoroki let out a groan as Bakugo’s shoulder hit him in the gut due to the fall. Bakugo started a good sprint down the road to where he had left the stagecoach. After a few minutes he reached the stagecoach. He opened the door to the coach, placing Todoroki on the floor of it. Todoroki tried to struggle against him as he did so.

“After all that, now you fight me?” Bakugo stated. Todoroki glared at him as he tried to kick him with his feet. “Whatever. Just lay down and be quiet, we have a long ride ahead of us. Bakugo said as he took his cape off, throwing it over Todoroki. Bakugo shut the door as he made his way to the box of the stagecoach. He gave a flick of the reins as he turned the stagecoach around, heading back to his castle with the horses in a full gallop.

The ride back was slightly quicker than the ride from his castle. Todoroki saw the castle that Bakugo was using from the windows of the stagecoach. Not long after he saw the castle, the stagecoach came to a halt. Bakugo opened the door as Todoroki tried to sit up. Bakugo grabbed Todoroki, wrapping him in his cape as he threw him back over his shoulder. With the cape covering his head Todoroki couldn’t see anything, or where he was being taken. He tried to struggle but his motions were limited, both because of the cape and because of Bakugo’s hold on him. He heard a door open and the sound of Bakugo’s footsteps against the stone ground. Bakugo went up a flight of stairs before making a right as he reached the top of the stairs. After a few feet he made a left turn, walking down another hall. Bakugo stopped, Todoroki hearing a door open. Bakugo entered the room, shutting the door behind him. Suddenly Todoroki was thrown onto what he assumed was a bed. Bakugo pulled his cape off of Todoroki, letting it fall down to the ground next to the bed.

“Welcome to the new Bakugo castle, Your Highness.” Bakugo stated in a snide tone. Todoroki sat up as best he could on the bed as he gave Bakugo a glare. Todoroki gave a quick look around the room. The bed was up against the right wall of the room. There were lit lanterns lining the walls, giving the room a soft orange glow of light. There was a desk with a chair against the back wall of the room near a door that he assumed led to a bathroom. The last piece of furniture in the room was a nightstand next to the bed. Other than that the room was pretty sparse for its size. Todoroki let out a growl as he struggled against the ropes restraining him. Bakugo rolled his eyes as he removed the gag from Todoroki’s mouth.

“What am I doing here? Where’s Midoriya?” Todoroki asked now that his mouth was free.

“After I give you the guest treatment, this is what I get?” Bakugo asked as he walked around the room.

“Guest treatment? You call tying me up, kidnapping me and manhandling me the guest treatment?” Todoroki asked as he struggled against the rope around his wrists.

“Yes, seeing as I could have been rude and locked you in the dungeon with Midoriya and called it done.” Bakugo said as he leaned against the desk, Todoroki shooting another glare in his direction. “But seeing as I just rescued you from that cell, I figured you wouldn’t want to be locked in another one.” Bakugo replied as he crossed his arms over his chest.

“Do you really consider this rescuing me? Because if that was really the case I wouldn’t still be tied up, would I?” Todoroki replied in a snarky tone. “So obviously there’s more to it than just simply rescuing me, isn’t there?” Todoroki asked as he tried to find a comfortable position to sit in.

“Would you believe me if I said Midoriya was the one who asked for your rescue mission? He said that even if I still cared for you, even just a tiny bit that I should save you from that room.” Bakugo replied with a smirk as he looked over to Todoroki.

“I believe the fact that he asked you, but I doubt that’s the reason why I’m sitting here right now. You’re forgetting, I know you too. After all we have known each other for some time now. Quiet intimately as well too I should add.” Todoroki said as he finally found a comfortable position to sit in.

“You only know the me that existed up until two years ago. I’d say right now you know nothing about me.” Bakugo said as he pushed himself off the desk, making his way over to Todoroki. “To be perfectly clear, you are my prisoner here, even if it seems that this room suggests otherwise. I figured this would be a better way to make your dad even more pissed. After all people are quick to make mistakes when they’re blind with rage.” Bakugo said as he grabbed Todoroki by his jaw, making him look at him. “Plus if you try something, I still have Midoriya as well. You wouldn’t want something bad to happen to him, do you?” Bakugo asked with a smirk on his face.

“Screw you.” Todoroki replied as he narrowed his eyes, staring Bakugo down. “When my dad finds you I hope he kills you.” Todoroki finished.

“Now now, you don’t mean that. After all, we’ve known each other for a long time. Right now you don’t want me dead.” Bakugo said as he released his hold on Todoroki, making his way over to the door, locking it.

“What are you doing?” Todoroki asked as he sat up straight, his muscles tensing at the action as Bakugo made his way back over to him.

“If you do something for me to convince me that you’ll be good, I might be inclined to leave Midoriya alone. I won’t touch a single green hair on that pretty little head of his if you do.” Bakugo said as his smirk widened at his statement. Todoroki felt a chill run down his spine as Bakugo leaned in close to him. “What do you say?” Bakugo asked, his face only inches away from Todoroki’s.

“Untie me and I’ll consider it.” Todoroki replied, trying to be cunning.

“No can do, Half-n-Half. I wasn’t born yesterday. Try again.” Bakugo replied as he stood up straight, crossing his arms with a smirk. Todoroki cursed under his breath. He didn’t like his options right now but he knew he had to do something to protect Midoriya.

“Fine then. Untie my legs at least and I’ll make it worth your while.” Todoroki said as he wiggled his feet around. Bakugo let a pleased smile grow across his face as he reached his hands out to untie the rope around his ankles.

“Now that’s more like it.” Bakugo said as he untied the rope, freeing Todoroki’s legs. Todoroki let out a sigh of relief, happy that he could move around as he’d like now. Bakugo set the rope on the bed as Todoroki stood up, standing in front of Bakugo. He gathered the cape on the floor with his feet to make a makeshift pillow with it to protect his knees from the harsh, uneven stone floor. He slowly eased himself down onto the floor in a kneeling position in front of Bakugo.

“You’re gonna have to undo your pants for me.” Todoroki stated as he wiggled his arms around. Todoroki watched as Bakugo’s expression turned to one filled with anticipation and desire. He watched his hands make their way to the hem of his pants. He undid his buckle, letting his belt fall to the floor with a clank as he unbuttoned his pants. He slipped them down his hips along with his underwear, stopping about mid-thigh. Todoroki half expected him to be aroused, the image of his half hard erection before his face confirming it. Todoroki took a deep breath before he got to work.

He started by leaving feather-light kisses along the full length of his cock. Todoroki heard Bakugo inhale sharply through gritted teeth from the feeling. Todoroki began licking a long trail along the underside of Bakugo’s cock, taking the head into his mouth when he reached the tip. He let his tongue flick across the slit of his erection, earning a low moan from Bakugo. Todoroki began swirling his tongue around the head as he felt Bakugo grow in his mouth. Todoroki started to bob his head, taking a bit more of his cock into his mouth. His tongue brushed against the underside of his cock, making Bakugo let out another moan as one of his hands made it way to his hair. He let his hand rest there as Todoroki continued. Todoroki slowly started to increase his speed as he took in more of Bakguo’s erection, his tongue swirling around the whole of his cock now.

Todoroki pulled off his erection, stopping when he had just the head of his cock in his mouth. He flicked his tongue over the slit, tasting the saltiness of the pre cum that was starting to make itself known. Bakugo moaned loudly as he grabbed a handful of white hair in his hand. Todoroki let his jaw go slack as Bakugo started to thrust his hips, pushing his cock further into his mouth.

“That’s it. I’m surprised you remember how I like it.” Bakugo moaned out as he increased the speed of his thrusts. Todoroki hollowed out his cheeks, letting his tongue glide across the underside of his cock as he felt Bakugo’s grip tightened in his hair. It wasn’t long before Bakugo’s other hand snaked its way into his hair, gripping his red hair in his hand. Todoroki looked up at Bakugo with half-lidded eyes, seeing that his face was covered in pure desire. When he met Bakugo’s eyes, they were filled with lust, the crimson color of them matching the emotion. The look Bakugo was giving Todoroki made his cock spring to life in his pants, feeling himself starting to get aroused. When Bakugo saw the equally aroused face on Todoroki he thrusted himself fully into his mouth. Todoroki jumped at the sudden intrusion in his mouth, feeling the tip of his cock hit the back of his throat. Todoroki tried to pull himself away but Bakugo’s hands in his hair kept him in place. After a few more seconds Bakugo pulled Todoroki of his cock, letting him catch his breath.

“Warn me next time.” Todoroki replied between breaths.

“I thought you remembered how I like it. Consider yourself warned then.” Bakugo said as he thrusted back into Todoroki’s mouth, the wet heat of his mouth making him throw his head back as Todoroki took him in fully once again. Todoroki was more prepared this time, breathing through his nose as he started to hum. The vibrations against his cock made Bakugo let out another loud moan as he pulled back. He started thrusting into Todoroki’s mouth eagerly as Todoroki let his tongue work over his erection when he could.

“Just like that.” Bakugo moaned. “I’m getting close.” He said as the speed of his thrusts picked up, becoming more erratic. Todoroki braced himself as he looked up at his face once more. He was completely taken over by lust, his eyes needy as he bit his lip. If Todoroki wasn’t fully hard already he was now. He let out a moan around Bakugo’s erection which earned a hard thrust from the blond. Bakugo’s grip in Todoroki’s hair got tighter as he continued with his fast thrusts. Finally he shoved his cock fully into his mouth, Todoroki feeling it in his throat. Todoroki let out a low hum as Bakugo moaned, his orgasm crashing over him. Todoroki felt his cum going down his throat, swallowing everything Bakugo had to give him so he didn’t choke on it. Todoroki swallowed the last of his release as Bakugo thrusted a few more time into his mouth, riding his orgasm out. Once he came back to his senses he pulled out of Todoroki, releasing his grip in his hair as he did so.

“Was it as good for you as it was for me?” Bakugo asked as he looked down at the tent in Todoroki’s pants as he pulled his pants and underwear back up, letting them rest undone against his hips. Todoroki coughed, catching his breath as he looked up at Bakugo.

“Fuck you.” Todoroki hissed. Bakugo tsked as he lightly pressed a foot against Todoroki’s erection. Todoroki let out a groan, unsure himself it was a groan of pleasure or pain.

“I was thinking of being nice and helping you out since you behaved so well but now I’m not so sure.” Bakugo replied as he continued to move his foot up and down against Todoroki’s clothed erection. Todoroki let out another moan as his hips rocked back and forth against his foot, chasing desperately for the friction Bakugo was giving him. “I don’t know.” Bakugo started as he pulled his foot away. “I might consider it if you beg me.” Bakugo said with a smirk as he looked down at Todoroki. Todoroki glared up at Bakugo, wishing that his hands were free so he could punch that smug look off of his face. “If you don’t I can just leave right now, leaving you like that with your hands still tied behind your back with you unable to do anything to relieve yourself.” Bakugo said as he turned around, starting to make his way over to the door.

“Please...” Todoroki said weakly, barely over a whisper.

“What was that?” Bakugo asked as he turned around, raising a hand to his ear.

“Please… touch me. I want to cum.” Todoroki said in a slightly louder tone, looking at Bakugo, his eyes begging him to touch him as well. Bakugo saw the desire on his face, letting a smirk grow across his as he made his way back over to Todoroki.

“See, that wasn’t so hard was it?” Bakugo asked as he knelt down next to Todoroki, his hands making their way to the hem of his pants. Todoroki bit his lip, trying to hold back the moan that escaped him as his erection was freed. Bakugo let his fingers brush lightly against his cock, looking at all the pre cum that was leaking from the tip. “Did sucking me off really arouse you this much? Or were you thinking about your boyfriend as you sucked me off?” Bakugo asked condescendingly as he closed his hand around Todoroki’s cock giving him a few slow strokes. Todoroki threw his head back at the feeling, relieved that he was finally getting release. Bakugo let his hand keep the slow pace as he leaned in closely to Todoroki’s ear. Todoroki felt his hot breath pass over his ear before he felt his tongue trace against the ridges of his ear. “Who’s better, him or me?” Bakugo asked in an alluring whisper. Bakugo’s question sent shivers down Todoroki’s spine as he felt Bakugo’s thumb rub against the head of his cock, grazing across the slit lightly. The almost feather like touch made Todoroki’s whole body shiver at the sensation.

“I bet I am. I know all the ways to make you fall apart under my hands.” Bakugo said as he removed his hand from around Todoroki’s cock, making him whine from the loss of sensation as he lowered his head.

“You... son of a bitch.” Todoroki growled as his hips jerked involuntarily, chancing a sensation that wasn’t there. Bakugo grabbed a small bottle from the drawer of the nightstand, opening it. He poured a generous amount of the liquid in his left hand, letting it coat his fingers as he warmed it up. His right hand made its way back to Todoroki’s leaking cock.

“I think you want to be nice to me right now.” Bakugo started as he kept his pace slow against Todoroki’s erection. ”That is, if you want me to make you really feel good.” Bakugo finished as he let a slick finger brush against Todoroki’s entrance. Todoroki gasped at the slick touch, letting a moan out as he tried to push his hips back against Bakugo’s finger. “Now, now. The only way your getting this is if you ask me nicely.” Bakugo whispered against Todoroki’s ear. Todoroki bit his lip as he let out a groan.

“Please, fuck me with your fingers.” Todoroki begged, shaking his hips in desperation.

“Well, seeing as you asked me so nicely, I think I can do that for you.” Bakugo said as he placed a lubed up finger against the ring of muscle. He slowly pushed a finger against his entrance, watching as Todoroki’s jaw dropped open at the intrusion. A needy moan escaped his lips as Bakugo started thrusting into him, his other hand increasing in speed around his cock. Todoroki was thankful he was already kneeling because his legs would have failed him right then if he was standing. “You feel nice and tight, I bet you haven’t been fucked in a while, seeing as your boyfriend doesn’t seem to be the type.” Bakugo said as he began kissing and biting at Todoroki’s neck. Todoroki’s hips pushed up into Bakugo’s hand as he felt Bakugo’s whole finger enter him. Bakugo focused on thrusting his finger into Todoroki, letting his hand slow around his cock. Once Bakugo felt he was prepared enough he pushed another finger into his hole.

“If I remember correctly, it should be around here.” Bakugo said as he curved his fingers, letting them brush against his prostate.

“Fuck!” Todoroki moaned out, a sudden jolt of pleasure coursing through his body. Bakugo picked up his pace as he thrusted his fingers in and out, his other hand around Todoroki’s cock matching the pace. Todoroki’s hips had a mind of their own, thrusting forward into Bakugo’s hand then thrusting backwards onto his fingers. His fingers made sure to hit his prostate on almost every thrust. Bakugo bit down hard on Todoroki’s neck, earning a load moan from him. Bakugo keep his pace with his fingers, scissoring him open. Bakugo could feel himself growing harder by the second as he continued his assault on Todoroki. After a few moments he pulled his fingers out of Todoroki’s hole, simultaneously pulling his hand away from his cock as well. Todoroki let out a loud whine from the loss of contact.

“I’m fully hard again.” Bakugo stated as he looked down to his erection making itself known behind his underwear. Bakugo leaned in close to Todoroki’s ear. “If you want to cum, you know what you need to do.” Bakugo said in a dominant tone. Todoroki felt a shiver run down his spine at those words, letting pure need take over his mind.

“Please fuck me. I want to cum with your cock in me.” Todoroki begged, looking at Bakugo with desperation in his eyes. Bakugo smiled as he picked up Todoroki, setting him down on the bed. Bakugo took his pants and underwear off leaving them on the floor as he climbed onto the bed. He pull Todoroki’s pants and underwear the rest of the way off as he looked down at Todoroki, his eyes looking over his entire body. A grin started to spread across Bakugo’s face as he got an idea. He grabbed the piece of rope that was lying on the bed. He tied the rope tightly around the base of Todoroki’s cock before he could protest.

“You asshole!” Todoroki groaned out as he felt the rope tighten around his erection. Bakugo finished tying the rope as he let a smirk grow across his face.

“Play nice now if you want me to fuck you. Now roll over and get on your knees.” Bakugo ordered as he reached for the bottle of oil he left on top of the nightstand. Todoroki rolled over, raising himself up on his knees, his ass on full display for him. Bakugo poured some of the oil into his hand, setting the bottle back on the nightstand. He started pumping himself with his hand, making sure his erection was coated in the oil. Once he felt he was fully covered he wiped his hand on the sheets before he made his way behind Todoroki, resting between his legs. He placed on hand on Todoroki’s hip as he lined himself up with his entrance.

“I hope I prepared you enough. It has been a while after all.” Bakugo said as he pressed the head of his cock against Todoroki’s entrance. He slowly pushed himself in, the head of his cock making it passed the ring of muscle. Todoroki arched his back as he let out a loud moan. “It shouldn’t be too much of a problem seeing as I know you don’t mind a little pain.” Bakugo said as he slowly pushed himself fully in. He felt Todoroki start shaking beneath him from the sensation of being filled. Todoroki let out another moan once Bakugo was completely sheathed in him. He let Todoroki relax for a few moments, letting his body adjust to his size. Once he felt Todoroki has relaxed enough he slowly started to pull himself out, only leaving the head of his cock in before thrusting in again, setting a slow pace. Todoroki moaned beneath him as he placed both hands on Todoroki’s hips for support and to keep him in place.

“Fuck!” Todoroki moaned out as Bakugo set a steady pace, thrusting hard into him. Every other thrust Todoroki felt Bakugo’s cock hit his prostate, sending a wave a pleasure to his straining erection. Bakugo reached a hand under Todoroki, wrapping it around his cock. Bakugo set a pace that would match his thrusts so that when he thrusted into him, Todoroki would thrust into his hand. Todoroki shoved his face into the sheets at the sensations, his cock was dripping pre cum from the feeling. Bakugo started to pick up the pace of his thrusts, Todoroki feeling them become more erratic.

“If you want to cum you’re going to have to ask me to let you cum.” Bakugo said as he pulled his hand away from Todoroki’s cock, placing it back on his hip as he kept his pace. Todoroki let out a groan as he turned his head to the side, his hips trying to push back into Bakugo’s thrusts.

“I… I can’t.” Todoroki started before he felt the tip of Bakugo’s erection brush against his prostate, letting out a moan instead.

“You can’t what?” Bakugo asked as he aimed for Todoroki’s prostate with every thrust now. Todoroki was starting to co crazy from the sensation, letting out another moan before he tried to gather his thoughts.

“I can’t take it anymore. L-Let me cum. Please, let me cum!” Todoroki begged as he pushed back against Bakugo’s thrusts. A huge grin spread across Bakugo’s face as he reached a hand around to Todoroki’s now painfully hard erection. Bakugo untied the knot, removing the rope from around the base of his cock. Todoroki let out a loud moan as his orgasm crashed over him, white strings of cum landing against his stomach and the sheets. Bakugo felt Todoroki tighten around him which sent him over the edge as well, Todoroki feeling his release fill him. Bakugo gave a few more thrusts, riding out his orgasm. After a moment he slowly pulled himself out of Todoroki, Todoroki feeling his cum leaking out of him. Bakugo untied the rope around Todoroki’s arms before rolling him onto his back. Bakugo grabbed his arms, retying the rope around his wrists. He grabbed the other piece of rope, tying one end around the rope around his wrist, knotting it off. He tied the other end of the rope around one of the bedposts on the headboard.

Once the rope was secure he made his way to the edge of the bed, climbing off. He picked up his underwear, putting them on. He put his pants on as well, buttoning them as he made his way into the bathroom that was connected to the room. He returned a few seconds later with a wet face cloth. He made his way over to the bed, cleaning the cum off of Todoroki’s stomach. Once he was clean, Bakugo returned the face cloth to the bathroom. When he came back in the room he grabbed Todoroki’s underwear and pants, helping him back into them. Once Todoroki was dressed he removed the top sheet of the bed, bring it to the bathroom as well. Once Todoroki’s senses returned to him again he sat up, the rope tying him to the bed having enough give to allow him a few feet of mobility.

“I wonder how your boyfriend will react once he finds out that you were begging me to let me fuck you.” Bakugo asked as an evil grin grew across his face. “Actually, I’m curious to see what he would be like under me. I wanna know what it is you like about him.” Bakugo said as his eyes met Todoroki’s. Bakugo could see the rage in his gray and blue eyes from his comment as Todoroki tried to make his way over to Bakugo, not getting very far.

“Don’t even think about it. You said if I did what I just did, you would leave him alone. You said you wouldn’t touch a single hair on him.” Todoroki said as he struggled against the rope around his wrist, really wanting to punch Bakugo now.

“I said I wouldn't touch a single green hair on that pretty little head of his. I never said I wouldn't do anything else to him.” Bakugo replied as he watched Todoroki struggle against the ropes.

“You rotten piece of shit!” Todoroki shouted as he pulled harshly against his restraints.

“How about this? I’ll agree not to do anything else to him if you offer to take his place.” Bakugo offered as he stood up straight, looking into Todoroki’s eyes. Todoroki considered the options he had before he spoke up.

“I can offer you something better. I know my father’s attack plans by heart. I can help you take him down. But only if you agree to leave Midoriya completely out of this.” Todoroki offered in a last ditch attempt to protect Midoriya. He knew Bakugo would take the deal, it was too good to refuse, knowing what Enji was going to do before he did it. He saw Bakugo thinking about what he just said, hoping he was going to take the deal.

“Interesting, giving up your father and kingdom just like that. What would your people think of you seeing as you just offered your attack plans to your enemy? Would they think that His Highness is worthy of the title of the next king?” Bakugo stated sarcastically as he watched Todoroki. “I’ll consider it if you consider my offer as well. I think we both need to think over each others propositions for a bit before we decide on anything. I’ll come see you tomorrow to let you know if I’ll take you up on your offer or not. Whether or not you take up mine though will definitely influence my decision, so keep that in mind as well.” Bakugo said as he made his way over to the door of the room, unlocking it as he pulled out a key from the small pouch on his belt. “Now, goodnight You Highness.” Bakugo said as he closed the door behind him, Todoroki hearing him lock it. Todoroki let out an irritated yell as he kicked the nightstand, sending it crashing to the stone floor.

“That bastard!” Todoroki yelled as he sat down on the bed, his body starting to ache all over from everything that had been done to it. Eventually he managed to crawl carefully under the covers of the bed, letting his exhaustion take him over as he finally passed out, his body sinking into the softness of the bed.

The following morning at the Todoroki castle

“How could you let that happen?!” Enji yelled at the two guards standing before him in his study. “I should have you thrown in the dungeon as punishment for your insubotination! How could you let His Highness get taken!?” Enji asked as he made his way over to the guards, a threatening look plastered on his face.

“We’re very sorry, Your Majesty.” The guards replied simultaneously as they bowed to him.

“Sorry isn’t going to make up for your failures as part of the royal guard. On top of that it was only one intruder according to your story. How could you fail so tremendously that you couldn’t even stop one intruder?!” Enji asked as the guards jumped from the anger in his voice.

“We are truly sorry, Your Majesty.” One of the guards spoke up as they stayed bowed.

“Whatever, get out of my sight. I need to come up with a way to deal with this.” Enji said as he turned away from the guards, making his way back over to his desk.

“Yes, Your Majesty.” The guards said as they bowed to him once more before leaving the room, shutting the door behind them.

“I can’t believe this! That good for nothing dragon master managed to enter my castle and steal my heir right from under me. This is his way of officially declaring war between the humans and the dragon shifters.” Enji said as he sat down in his chair, clearly upset by this string of events.

“Don’t you think it’s a little strange how Bakugo, alone might I add, managed to enter the castle without being seen and take His Highness?” Enji’s advisor asked as he stepped out of the shadows of the dimly lit room, making his way over to Enji. His advisor was a tall man with a very lean build. He had black spiky hair and a long black cloak draped over his shoulders, covering his body.

“What are you getting at Dabi?” Enji asked as he turned to face his advisor.

“I’m just saying that things don’t match up completely. He managed to sneak onto the castle grounds without getting seen. Managed to find a way into the castle and down to the dungeon without being seen. He showed up right at the changing of the guards for His Highness and had only had to deal with one guard in his way as the other was off relieving himself. Don’t you also think that the actions of everyone last night are too coincidental to be anything but a well thought out plan by a traitor within the castle?” Dabi asked as he looked at Enji, watching him.

“It’s true that the actions of everyone last night seem to be more than just pure coincidence, but who would be brave enough or smart enough to think they can go against me?” Enji asked, looking at Dabi.

“I don’t have the faintest clue Your Majesty. That’s why I’m suggesting that we investigate all the staff within the castle to see if anyone has any ties with Bakugo Katsuki, or if it’s a group working independently to get rid of the heir to the throne for some unknown reason.” Dabi stated as he walked around the room as he talked. “I could ask a few trustworthy guards and members of the staff to look out for anything suspicious. Like people who voice their objections to how things are being run or suspicious actions like last night that would lead to something we wouldn't want to happen.” Dabi finished as he turned back around to face Enji once more.

“That does seem like the right course of action to take for now until we get more evidence to prove that there is indeed a traitor within our ranks. I’ll leave this matter to you Dabi, let me know if you find anything conclusive.” Enji said as he got back to the pile of paperwork on his desk.

“Will do, Your Majesty. I’ll be leaving then if that’s all.” Dabi said as he bowed to Enji, making his way over to the door.

“Have some of the guards start searching for Bakugo Katsuki’s possible whereabouts as well. If we can’t find the traitor, we can at least find him and finally put an end to all of this nonsense for good.” Enji added without looking up from his paperwork.

“Yes, Your Majesty. I was thinking the same thing.” Dabi replied before he bowed again, letting the door shut behind him as he left the room. Dabi rolled his eyes as he started making his way down the hall. “Oh, I’ll find Bakugo father; him and the others as well. Just sit back and enjoy yourself while you can.” Dabi said with a smile on his face as he made his way back to his room.

The same morning at the Bakugo castle

“You got back late last night.” Kirishima stated as he entered their bedroom with a tray of food in his hands, setting it down on the bedside table as Bakugo rolled over in the bed.

“I had something to do, it took longer than I thought.” Bakugo replied with a growl as he covered himself with the bedsheets.

“Something you had to do in the middle of the night, that pretty much had you out the entire night?” Kirishima asked as he tried to pull the covers off of Bakugo to get him out of bed.

“Yes, the matter doesn’t concern you so drop it.” Bakugo said as he conceded, relinquishing the sheets to Kirishima. “What time is it anyway?” He asked as he slowly began to sit up.

“It’s just after noon. I brought you breakfast, you have some time to eat it before we have a meeting with the leader of the dragon shifters in this area to discuss our next course of action.” Kirishima said as he prepared Bakugo’s outfit for the day at the foot of the bed. Bakugo growled as he sat on the edge of the bed, grabbing the tray from the table as he started eating.

“I have something to do before I meet him. It shouldn’t take more than thirty minutes at most. Tell him to wait in the common room for the time being.” Bakugo stated between bites of food. Kirishima raised an eyebrow at Bakugo’s statement, slightly confused.

“You didn’t have anything previously scheduled before the meeting.” Kirishima stated as he watched Bakugo. “Unless this is something that just came up. Say, something pertaining to why you left so suddenly last night.” Kirishima accused, starting to get a little tired of Bakugo not telling him everything.

“So what if it did? Like I said, this has nothing to do with you.” Bakugo said as he glared at Kirishima before going back to his food.

“Why do you always shut me out like that?” Kirishima asked, starting to get irritated. “I’m involved in this too whether you want me to be or not.” Kirishima stated, looking at Bakugo who had stopped eating.

“You’re only involved in this as much as I need you to be, nothing more nothing less.” Bakugo stated in an annoyed tone as he went back to eating. “Now drop this, don’t make me make it an order.” Bakugo said as he finished his food, setting the tray back on the bedside table as he turned to face Kirishima. Kirishima wanted to keep going but decided against it, not wanting to anger Bakugo further.

“Yes, master .” Kirishima replied in an annoyed and defeated tone as he grabbed the empty tray off the end table, walking out of the room without looking at Bakugo. Bakugo let out an irritated sigh as he changed into the clothes Kirishima laid out for him. Once he was dressed he made his way out of the room, heading in the direction of Todoroki’s room.

“Good morning, Your Highness.” Bakugo said as he unlocked the door, entering the room. Todoroki was sitting on the edge of the bed, watching Bakugo as he shut the door behind him.

“I was wondering when you were going to show up.” Todoroki said as he stood up.

“Did you miss me that much?” Bakugo asked with a smirk as he made his way over to Todoroki. Todoroki scoffed at him as he rolled his eyes.

“No, I was waiting to be untied. I have to use the bathroom.” Todoroki spoke in a quiet tone as he avoided Bakugo’s eyes.

“Oh, I’m terribly sorry Your Highness.” Bakugo mocked as he untied the rope that kept Todoroki’s arms tied to the bed. “That should suffice for what you need to do.” Bakugo said as he let the loose end of the rope fell onto the bed. Todoroki glared at Bakugo before he pushed past him, making his way to the bathroom that was joined to the room. After about five minutes, Todoroki reentered the room, seeing Bakugo leaning against the desk in the room.

“So,” Bakugo started as he stood up, making his way over to Todoroki. “Have you thought about my offer?” Bakugo asked as he got a little too close for comfort for Todoroki’s liking. Todoroki took a step back before he spoke.

“Did you consider mine? I mean, knowing my father’s moves before they even happen seems to be something that would be of great importance to you if you want to overthrow him.” Todoroki said as he walked around the room. “I can give that to you for the low price of promising not to do anything to Midoriya. I don’t care what happens to me as long as Midoriya is safe, that’s all the matters.” Todoroki finished as he kept his back to Bakugo.

“If you don’t care what happens to you, then agreeing to my offer shouldn’t be much of a problem. If you do, I’ll take your fathers battle plans in exchange for leaving your precious Midoriya alone.” Bakugo said as he made his way behind Todoroki, wrapping his arms around his waist as he left little kisses along the side of his neck. Todoroki tried to hold back a small moan from the light kisses Bakugo was leaving. Bakugo was right, he should have phrased his words better but at this point, he really didn’t have any options left.

“Fine, but only because I don’t really have any other option. But can the same be said for you?” Todoroki replied as he managed to fight off Bakugo’s grip on him. “After all, you have Kirishima for this kind of thing.” Todoroki stated as he looked at the slightly opened door to the room.

“Oh please, he was just a temporary fill in for you. After all we were together for a while, how could I just forget you?” Bakugo said as he made his way over to Todoroki. Todoroki saw a figure through the crack of the door as Bakugo embraced him again. Todoroki tried to push him off but his restrained hands and sore body made it hard to fight his strength.

“Don’t you think that’s not fair to Kirishima? I can tell he truly cares for you.” Todoroki said as he looked Bakugo in the eyes. “I managed to move on. Of course it was hard at first, given the circumstances about the whole thing. But I think it would truly be in your best interest to move on. Things between us should have never reached the level it did, but it did and look at what happened because of it. And look at where we are now because of it. History is repeating itself. Kirishima and you have a bond stronger than what we had. He has been by your side through everything.” Todoroki stated, trying to convince Bakugo to go about things in another way.

“Our bond is nothing more than that of a master and his servant.” Bakugo replied as he pulled Todoroki closer to him. “Plus, you wouldn’t have done what you did last night if you really thought that way about things.” Bakugo replied as he started to kiss at Todoroki’s neck once more.

“You literally had my hands tied, I really couldn’t do anything to stop you.” Todoroki replied, defending his actions.

“You know that’s not true.” Bakugo said between biting and kissing at Todoroki’s neck. “You could have fought back, but you didn’t. I wonder why? After all you seemed a little too calm about this whole thing. You even helped me escape your castle last night. The only time you fought back was when you remembered you should be trying to fight back. Aren’t you just using me as a pawn in your plan as well?” Bakugo smirked to himself as he felt Todoroki go stiff in his arms. “Judging by your reaction right now, you’re just as guilty as I am according to your reasoning. Aren’t you just using Midoriya in the same way that I am using Kirishima?” Bakugo asked with a smirk on his face. Todoroki pushed Bakugo away at the accusation. Todoroki backed away from Bakugo as he shook his head, trying to deny the fact that what Bakugo was saying was partially true.

“I am not using Midoriya. How dare you compare me to you.” Todoroki declared, defending himself.

“Come on now, do you really think I’m that stupid? I know you want to get rid of your father just as much as I do, which is why you used us to get your way without getting your hands dirty. You’re just playing the role of the helpless hostage.” Bakugo stated as he watched Todoroki. Todoroki avoided his eyes, not wanting to look at Bakugo as he spoke up to defend himself.

“You were the ones who kidnapped him and sent me the ransom note. I had no idea that you had come back after all this time.” Todoroki stated as he walked around the room.

“Oh really? You didn’t know that we were watching you guys for two months as you and him worked on your swordsmanship in the woods? What about the fact that after two months of you always going with him, out of the blue you let Midoriya go off by himself to the forest without you? When we met for the first time in years, you were pretty convincing, maybe a little too convincing.” Bakugo said with a grin on his face as all the pieces started to fall into place. “What really sold it was how you confronted your father, you really knew how to play the victim. You could have stopped after things started to get heated, but from what Kirishima told me, you were pretty adamant about laying your father's crimes out in front of him, knowing full well what was going to happen to you when you did. You probably knew that I had Kirishima watching you to make sure you were getting our money together.” Bakugo said as he turned to face Todoroki who was frozen in place from his words.

“I have no idea what your talking about.” Todoroki replied without turning to face him as Bakugo made his way over to him.

“Oh really now? Then what about getting yourself locked in the dungeon willingly? That was when I started to suspect things were not what they seemed. I had just made a grand comeback to you and your father and yet there were barely any guards standing watch outside of the castle. I assumed it was just merely a coincidence that I just happened to show up right at the changing of the guards. Pure coincidence that I only had to deal with taking out one guard because the other had to go relieve himself. What about the fact that you helped me escape the dungeon and only started to put up a fight once we were out of the castle? Don’t you think that that’s a little suspicious, Your Highness .” Bakugo implied as he leaned in close to Todoroki’s ear as he spoke. Bakugo was close enough to see the color fade from Todoroki’s face at his remark. Todoroki kept quiet as he avoided Bakugo’s accusatory eyes. “See, your reaction tells me that I hit the nail right on the head.” Bakugo chuckled to himself as he stood up straight, crossing his arms. “You aren’t as innocent as you claim to be. You and I are one in the same, we only see people as pawns to use to get what we want.” Bakugo said as he watched Todoroki who hadn’t moved a muscle, frozen stiff where he stood. Before anyone could say anything else, the door swung open, revealing Kirishima who had been standing on the other side of the door.

“Kirishima?” Todoroki asked as he looked towards the door in shock from the sudden motion. Kirishima’s face was pale, Todoroki could see the hurt and anger in his crimson eyes. Bakugo felt a small twinge of guilt grow in the back of his mind before he dismissed the thought.

“Is that really all I am to you? After everything that happened, I’m just a replacement? Just a pawn to be used for your grand plan?” Kirishima asked with hurt in his voice, Todoroki could see Kirishima shaking from where he was standing in the room, unsure whether or not he was shaking because of shock or the anger he felt. Bakugo scoffed to himself as he crossed his arms.

“And what if you are?” Bakugo replied apathetically as he met Kirishima’s eyes.

“You know, I’ve forgiven a lot of things over the years because of everything that happened. I forgave it all because you weren’t acting like yourself and who could blame you after everything you went through. Now I see that you really don’t care about anything except your precious revenge. Let’s see how well that plan of yours goes without me there.” Kirishima stated, his voice shaking as he left the room, making his way down the hall. A few seconds went by before Bakugo left the room, shutting and locking the door behind him as he followed Kirishima.

“Where are you going?” Bakugo asked as he tried to catch up with Kirishima but he showed no sign of slowing down. Bakugo followed Kirishima to the main hall of the castle, as he made his way to the front door. “Kirishima!” Bakugo shouted as he tried to grab one of Kirishima’s arms but he was too late. Once Kirishima made it out of the castle, Bakugo saw his red wings grow as he took flight, flying far away from the castle without another word as he left. Bakugo watched as Kirishima disappear into the afternoon sky. Bakugo punched the stone wall of the castle in anger, both pissed off at Kirishima and himself before he made his way back into the castle.

Chapter Text

It had been about five hours since Kirishima flew off and he still hasn’t made it back yet. Bakugo was getting more impatient and pissed off by the minute. He figured Kirishima needed some time to cool off but he didn’t expect him to be gone this long. Kirishima had been by his side his whole life, their souls bonded together shortly after Bakugo was born. Kirishima had never raised his voice to Bakugo once in all their years together. There have been times when Kirishima would try to talk Bakugo out of things or get mad when he didn’t listen to what he said but he had never seen Kirishima truly upset like that. Bakugo couldn’t understand why he was upset. Kirishima knew from the start about his plan, hell, he even helped him come up with it. Bakugo had his reasons for keeping him in the dark about certain things, his trust becoming practically nonexistent after everything that had happened. Bakugo may not have been one to trust but Kirishima always had this sense of blind trust in him. Did he ruin that blind trust that Kirishima had in him? Bakugo felt his gut sink at that thought before the anger started to take over his mind again. Kirishima was in the wrong this time. He found out the truth and ran away just like that. Was everyone destined to leave him? His parents left, Todoroki left, and now Kirishima. Bakugo let out a yell as he punched the stone wall of his room, causing chunks of stone to fall from the wall. Why did everyone he cared for leave him? Just then a lightbulb went off in his head. If he was destined to be alone, might as well take as many people down with him as he could. And he had two people within his reach to take down with him. A wicked grin grew across his face as he left his room.

“Hello Your Highness. Sorry about earlier.” Bakugo said as he opened the door to the room he was keeping Todoroki in. Todoroki was sitting on the bed when Bakugo entered the room.

“Has Kirishima returned?” Todoroki asked as he noticed the satchel that Bakugo was carrying as he made his way over to the desk in the room.

‘No, he probably needs space to calm down and accept the truth of things.” Bakugo said as he grabbed the chair from the desk, dragging it over to the center of the room. Bakugo turned the chair so that his was facing the foot of the bed, the chair itself maybe a few feet away from the bed.

“Shouldn’t you be out looking for him?” Todoroki asked as he tensed up, pulling at the rope that was still tied around his wrists in front of him.

“He’ll come back when he wants to. After all he can’t stay too far away from me because of our bond so he should return before the day’s over.” Bakugo said as he set the satchel he was carrying down on the ground next to the left of the chair. “Now I have a surprise for you that requires your cooperation to make it work.” Bakugo said as he made his way over to where Todoroki was sitting on the bed.

“What are you talking about? What surprise?” Todoroki asked as he tried to back away from Bakugo as best he could.

“I just figured I’d be nice and let you get to see Midoriya seeing as it’s been a while since the last time you saw him. Plus he’s pretty worried about you. The last thing he knew about you was that you got locked in that room in the dungeon. You should have seen him when he was begging me to save you.” Bakugo said with a smirk as Todoroki stood up, trying to take a swing at him with his restrained hands. Bakugo was quick to dodge the attack, grabbing onto the rope around Todoroki’s wrists. “Here I am trying to do something nice for you and you attack me. I guess you really don’t want to see him then.” Bakugo said as he kept a firm hold on Todoroki. Todoroki wanted nothing more than to curse him out right then and there but because he wanted to confirm that Midoriya was unharmed he took a deep breath, calming himself down somewhat.

“Fine. I’ll cooperate.” Todoroki said begrudgingly.

“That’s a good little prince.” Bakugo said as he released his hold on Todoroki, letting his arms fall down in front of him. “All I need you to do is sit in that chair.” Bakugo said as he pointed to the chair he placed in the middle of the room.

“Fine.” Todoroki reluctantly agreed as he made his way passed Bakugo and over to the chair, sitting down. Bakugo smiled as he made his way over to Todoroki, digging through the satchel on the floor by the chair. He pulled out a bundle of rope, undoing it as he made his way behind Todoroki. He began tying the rope around Todoroki’s chest and the back of the chair.

“Seeing as Kirishima isn’t here to help, I don’t want to risk you getting any ideas.” Bakugo said as he finished tying the rope around Todoroki, knotting the rope tightly at the back of the chair. He made sure the rope was tight enough before bending back down to grab another smaller bundle of rope out of the satchel.

“Of course you don’t.” Todoroki remarked as he tested the new bonds. The rope was tight, Todoroki could barely move his upper body. Bakugo knelt down in front of Todoroki as he untied the bundle of rope as he began to tie the rope around one of Todoroki’s ankles and the chair’s leg. Once he was done he tied the rope off tightly before he removed another bundle of rope from the satchel, tying Todoroki’s other leg to the other leg of the chair. “There, that should do it.” Bakugo said as he tested the ropes, making sure they were secure. “I’ll be right back You Highness. Sit tight until then.” Bakugo said with a smirk as he left the room. Todoroki tested the restraints, barely able to move from how tight they were. About ten minutes had passed before the door to the room opened. Bakugo entered the room, grabbing Midoriya by the arm as he pulled him into the room, shutting the door behind them. When Midoriya saw Todoroki his face lit up.

“Todoroki!” Midoriya exclaimed joyously as he broke Bakugo’s hold on him, making his way over to Todoroki.

“Midoriya!” Todoroki exclaimed as he reached his hands out to Midoriya as best he could. Midoriya bent down so Todoroki could place his hands on his cheeks. “I’m so glad you’re okay.” Todoroki said as he pulled Midoriya into a kiss. The kiss was sloppy and desperate and full of joy and relief. Midoriya wanted nothing more than to wrap his arms around Todoroki but he couldn’t thanks to the cuffs that kept his arms restrained behind his back. After a few moments they broke the kiss off so they could catch their breath, Midoriya resting his head against Todoroki’s shoulder.

“I’m so happy you’re safe. When I asked Bakugo to rescue you I didn’t think he’d actually do it. I feel so relieved knowing that you’re here.” Midoriya whispered as he kept his head resting against Todoroki’s shoulder, Todoroki hearing the strain and worry in his voice.

“Don’t cry. I’m fine, I’m here now. I won’t let anything happen to you.” Todoroki replied back as he kissed Midoriya’s cheek, his hands rubbing Midoriya’s arm to reassure him.

“I’d hate to ruin this touching reunion but don’t you have something to tell Midoriya?” Bakugo asked Todoroki as he started to walk around the room with a smirk on his face.

“Tell me what? What is he talking about Todoroki?” Midoriya asked as he raised his head up off of Todoroki’s shoulder, looking at him in confusion. Todoroki shot Bakugo a wicked glare as he could feel his blood start to boil.

“This was your plan all along wasn’t it?” Todoroki asked him as Bakugo gave him a sly smile.

“What can I say, misery loves company.” Bakugo said as he made a grand motion with his arms, spreading them out wide as a sly look took over his whole face.

“Todoroki, what’s he talking about? What’s going on?” Midoriya asked as he took a step back, feeling suddenly uneasy.

“Yes Your Highness, what am I talking about?” Bakugo asked as he continued walking around the room. “If you don’t tell him, I will tell him for you.” Bakugo added as he looked at Todoroki.

“Tell me what? What’s going on Todoroki?” Midoriya asked, Todoroki could hear the nervousness and worry in his voice. Todoroki shot Bakugo a look as he pondered what to do. Bakugo barely gave him any time to think as he started speaking.

“He was using you.” Bakugo blurted out with a smile as he made his way over to Midoriya, resting his hands on his shoulders. “See, he used both of us actually, isn’t that right, Your Highness? ” Bakugo added as he looked at Todoroki, their eyes meeting. Todoroki could see the pleasure in his eyes from what he was saying.

“What are you talking about? Todoroki, what is he talking about?” Midoriya asked as he started to tremble. Todoroki turned his head to the side to avoid Midoriya.

“Oh did you see that? He completely dodged your question. I’ll fill in the gaps for you.” Bakugo said as he patted Midoriya’s shoulder before he started walking around the room again. “You see, His Highness here, he let you get kidnapped by us.” Bakugo confessed.

“What? That’s not true! Right Todoroki?” Midoriya asked as he looked at Todoroki with pleading eyes. Todoroki kept his head turned away from Midoriya. “No...it can’t be.” Midoriya said in a deflated tone.

“Oh but it is. Wasn’t it strange that you guys were training every day together for months and then one day out of the blue he suddenly has work to do? Plus he didn’t even send any guards to protect you.” Bakugo stated, Midoriya suddenly realizing that what Bakugo said was true.

“You didn’t...you didn’t plan that. Tell me it’s not true Todoroki.” Midoriya begged as he tried to look Todoroki in the eyes but he averted his gaze.

“You wanna know why he did it?” Bakugo asked as he made his way back over to Midoriya. “He did it because he wanted to overthrow his father. Well, he wanted me to do it for him to be more precise.” Bakugo said closely to Midoriya’s ear. Bakugo watched Midoriya’s reaction, smiling when he saw tears start to grow in the corner of his eyes.

“No.” Midoriya said in disbelief, his voice shaky.

“Yes. That fight that he had with his father that Kirishima told us about. That was planned as well. He got himself locked away on purpose so he could have me break him out. He even told me how to get out of the castle after I rescued him. You wanna hear what happened after I brought him here?” Bakugo asked as he shot Todoroki a conniving look.

“Don’t even think about it.” Todoroki stated as he started to struggle against the restraints keeping him in the chair.

“What? You don’t want me to tell him about how you let me fuck you? After he sucked me off he was begging for me to fuck him. You should have seen his face. He begged me to touch him, to enter him.” Bakugo said as he looked at Midoriya whose face had lost all of its color.

“That’s not true! I only did it because if I didn’t, he would have done it to you. I couldn’t let him do that.” Todoroki replied trying to defend himself.

“That may have been how it started but after you sucked me off you were begging me to fuck you, just like the old days. He enjoyed it too, moaning loudly as he begged me to keep going. As he begged me to let him cum.” Bakugo finished as Midoriya tried to find the words to speak.

“Is that all true Todoroki?” Midoriya asked as the tears that had been building up finally started to roll down his cheeks. Todoroki couldn’t deny what Bakugo was saying, he couldn’t even bring himself to admit it. After hearing everything, he started to truly believe that he was no better than Bakugo. At that point he just hung is head in shame.

“I’m sorry.” Todoroki said weakly, almost in a whisper. That was the last nail in the coffin. Midoriya took in a shaky breath as the tears started to flow. Midoriya collapsed to his knees as he cried, his tears making the stone floor beneath him turn a darker shade of gray. “I’m sorry.” Was all Todoroki could say as Midoriya cried on the floor in front of him, Bakugo smiling proudly behind Midoriya as he watched.

About two hours after Kirishima left

“Sir, look. Isn’t that the dragon shifter that the King’s advisor has us looking for?” One of the guards asked as he pointed towards the sky. The head guard of the unit that Dabi had out searching for the prince and the others followed his subordinate’s hand, watching as Kirishima flew by about fifty feet over head.

“That’s him. You go and report this to His Majesty’s royal advisor. Tell him that we have found the dragon shifter. The rest of the guards and I will follow him. Tell him that the shifter is about thirty minutes from the castle. He’ll tell you what his orders for us are, when he does, report back to me immediately.” The chief guard said. “Now, let’s split up men. Follow the shifter.” The chief guard announced as one guard went back to the castle, the others taking off in pursuit of Kirishima.

“Sir, one of the scout units that you deployed has found the dragon master’s dragon.” One of the castle guards said as he entered Dabi’s room, the guard from the scouting unit following in behind him.

“Where did you spot him?” Dabi asked as he stood up from his desk, making his way over to the guards.

“He was spotted about thirty minutes out from the castle, Sir. He also seemed to be alone. What are your orders, Sir?” The guards asked as he stood at attention in front of Dabi.

“Bring him back to me. Take him down by any means necessary but don’t kill him. He can be used to give us the whereabouts of the prince and the dragon master. Use you’re enchanted bows, the ones that His Majesty had the mages make for the war against the shifters. After you hit him with an arrow from the bow it should cancel his shifter abilities, returning him to his human form. Once he’s hit with the arrow he won’t be able to use his dragon abilities for a while so it should be easy for you to restrain him normally until you get him back to the castle. Now go, return to your unit.” Dabi ordered as the guard saluted him.

“Yes, Sir.” The guard replied as he bowed, leaving the room.

“Today is my lucky day.” Dabi said to himself as he sat back down at his desk. He dismissed the other guard, watching him leave as he shut the door behind him. Dabi smiled as he started to laugh. “One step closer.” Dabi said as he leaned back in his chair, gazing out the window in the room.

After about twenty minutes he managed to catch up with the unit that was following Kirishima who just seemed to be flying around aimlessly. The guard quickly made his way over to the head guard of the unit.

“I have orders to relay to you from His Majesty’s royal advisor, Sir.” The guard spoke as he made sure his horse kept pace with the head guard’s horse.

“What are the orders?” The chief guard asked.

“His royal advisor has given us permission to engage the enemy. He says to take him down using our enchanted bows that the mages made for the war two years ago. He said that once he’s hit and weakened to restrain him normally and bring him back to the castle for interrogation on the location of the dragon master and His Highness.” The guard finished with a salute as he kept up with the chief guard.

“Alright. Here are your orders men. We are allowed to engage the target. We are allowed to use our enchanted bows to attack the enemy. We are not to kill him, we are to only capture him and bring him back to the castle. Those are His Majesty’s royal advisor’s orders.” The chief guard shouted to his men.

“Yes, Sir.” The guards all replied back as they pulled out their bows. They all started to get closer to Kirishima, maybe thirty feet behind him as they drew their bows.

“Ready!” The guard ordered, all his men placing an arrow on their bow strings, pulling back. “Aim!” The guard ordered as all the guards aimed for Kirishima. “Fire!” The head guard ordered, watching as about twenty arrows flew into the air. Before Kirishima could react, he was hit instantly. A few of the arrows pierced his wings, two of them actually managing to hit him. One got him in the shoulder, the other getting him in the stomach. Kirishima cried out in pain as he started to descend to the ground, his wings disappearing just before he hit the ground. Thankfully it wasn’t a bad fall but it still wasn’t a graceful landing either. When he hit the ground, his body rolled for a few feet before he came to a stop. Kirishima rolled around in pain before he tried getting up, finding out quickly that all his strength was gone. Kirishima’s eyes went wide as he was surrounded by twenty guards on horseback, all of them having their bows trained on him.

“You are under arrest for the kidnapping of the young Prince and of His Highness’ head knight.” The chief guard said as he looked at Kirishima who was struggling to hold himself up on the ground. Kirishima tried to fight back as best he could when about four guards got off their horses, surrounding him. They quickly restrained him, tying his hands behind his back and his feet together. One guard picked him up, laying him on his stomach on the back of one of the horses. “Let’s report back to the castle and let His Majesty’s royal advisor know that we have captured the dragon shifter.” The head guard ordered as he flicked the reins of his horse, the rest of the guards following suit as they made their way back to the castle.

Chapter Text

“Sir, the scouting unit has returned with the dragon shifter in custody. They are outside waiting on your orders.” One of the castle guards said as he entered Dabi’s room, saluting before standing at attention.

“Have them bring him into the dungeon discreetly. We don’t need His Majesty finding out that we have apprehended him. Restrain him with the enchanted shackles we use on the other dragon shifters in the dungeon. Put him in one of the empty cells. I’ll be down shortly. You’re dismissed.” Dabi said as he stood up from behind his desk, putting on his cloak.

“Yes, Sir.” The guard said as he bowed, leaving the room. As Dabi was putting on his cloak, the bookcase against the left wall of the room moved revealing a narrow tunnel way behind it, a figure making their way out from behind the bookcase.

“Dabi. I followed around the Prince’s advisor like you asked. No I didn’t. I think I found a way to take away the Prince’s right to the throne. No I didn’t. ” The masked man said as he entered the room.

“Nice job Twice. What did you find?” Dabi asked as he turned around to face him.

“Apparently His Highness had a plan to use the dragon master to dethrone his father and succeed it from him. He didn’t have a plan. He had left instructions for her before he got locked away in the dungeon. There weren’t any instructions. After she left His Highness’ study, I searched around finding a piece of paper that instructed her to help lead Bakugo to the dungeon to free His Highness. He didn’t have help escaping .” Twice said as he walked around the room, full of energy as he talked. Dabi let a smile grow across his face from what Twice has told him.

“Perfect. Watch her and bring me the paper you found. After I question the dragon shifter I’ll be taking the evidence of His Highness’ betrayal to His Majesty.” Dabi ordered as he started to make his way to the main door of the room.

“Sure thing Boss. Fuck off .” Twice said as he held a thumbs up to Dabi before making his way back over to the secret passageway, the bookcase going back to its original place against the wall.

“Let go of me!” Kirishima shouted as he fought the guards that were restraining him. They had brought him to a room in the dungeon that was enclosed. Unlike the rest of the cells that had a wall of iron bars that showed the rest of the dungeon, this one was completely surrounded by stone walls except for the door in and out of the cell. The guards had placed his arms in thick shackles behind his back that had a chain connecting them to the back wall of the room. They had also placed a metal collar around his neck which was also connected to a chain that was attached to the back wall of the room. Kirishima tried to use his dragon strength to break the restraints finding out quickly that he couldn’t use his dragon abilities. He came to the conclusion that the shackles he was restrained in were enchanted so he couldn’t use his abilities. Once he was restrained the guards left the room, shutting the door behind them. Kirishima was left alone for a few minutes before the door opened again, a man with spiky black hair wearing a black cloak entered the room.

“You know. You made it very difficult for me to find you.” The man said as he entered the room, keeping his distance from Kirishima.

“Who are you?” Kirishima asked as he kept trying to break the shackles restraining him.

“My name is Dabi. I’m the royal advisor to His Majesty. We’ve been trying to track you down since you abducted His Highness’ head knight. It was hard to track you down, but looks like you managed to bring yourself right to us. I had sent out several scouting units to be on the lookout for you and the dragon master. They haven’t had much luck, until today that is.” Dabi said as he walked around the room, still keeping his distance from Kirishima. Today was just not Kirishima’s day.

“What do you want with me?” Kirishima asked as he watched Dabi. Dabi chuckled as he stopped walking, turning his attention to Kirishima.

“I want to know where the dragon master is and where he is keeping Midoriya and His Highness. Both you and the dragon master will be tried for kidnapping Midoriya and His Highness. I take it you are aware of what happens to those who kidnap members of the royal family.” Dabi said as he gestured to Kirishima with his hand. Kirishima swallowed hard as he pulled at the shackles around his wrists.

“Why should I tell you anything?” Kirishima retorted as he watched Dabi.

“Because if you don’t, things will only get worse for you, especially once His Majesty finds out. You already know how he is about dragon masters and shifters. He already tried to kill you once; do you think he’d let you get away for a second time?” Dabi asked as he made his way over to Kirishima, standing maybe about a few feet away from him. “After all, I know the real reason as to why you abducted His Highness and Midoriya.” Dabi said as he leaned in close to Kirishima before he started walking around the room again.

“You do?” Kirishima asked in shock at what Dabi had said.

“Yes, I do. You did it to bring attention to His Majesty’s crimes. Two years ago he had unjustly attacked the land of the dragons and the dragon master’s castle. He had murdered Bakugo’s parents in cold blood, all because they didn’t agree to His Majesty’s way of thinking when it came to the dragon shifters. His Majesty said he had raided the dragon lands to stop a war from happening between the humans and the shifters. Truth be told that wasn’t the case because a war did break out, it didn’t last long though. He had killed and imprisoned most of the dragon shifters, others he made work in the mines or other unpleasant jobs for the Todoroki kingdom. I tried to advise him against it but I couldn’t get through to him. He isn’t the King this kingdom needs. You know that, the dragon master knows that and I know that. That’s why I need to get His Highness back. So we can bring to light all the crimes that His Majesty had committed and usher in a new ruler. Someone who understands that there is no need to treat the shifters the way they were being treated. We need a ruler who knows the difference between right and wrong. Someone who can pick up the pieces that His Majesty had left behind and give birth to a new kingdom born from understanding and compromise not hatred and murder and war.” Dabi said as he walked around the room, moving his hands as he spoke. “I believe that His Highness is the only one who can do that. After all, you and the dragon master were close friends with His Highness. Once His Highness takes the throne you will be acquitted of your crimes, seeing as you did what you did to bring light to the corrupted rule of this kingdom.” Dabi said as he stopped to look at Kirishima. Kirishima looked completely dumbfounded, unsure how to react to what he had just been told.

“Is that true? That you want to help us put an end to the King’s rule?” Kirishima asked, unsure whether or not to take what the King’s advisor was saying as the truth or not. After all he is the King’s advisor. Maybe he was just trying to get him to give up the location only to have him and Bakugo killed for the abductions of two members of the royal family.

“Of course. I want to make this kingdom better. His Majesty barely listens to what I have to say anymore. I had to go behind his back to try and fix all the wrongs he had made. I was the one who helped you escape the dungeon after his Majesty brought you in as prisoners. It took me a while but I had to do it in a way so that it wouldn’t lead back to me.” Dabi stated as he made his way back over to Kirishima. “Of course nothing can make up for what happened to you. The fact that Bakugo’s family is gone, your people being treated like wild creatures instead of people who just have powers different from us. I can’t bring back all the people that were killed but I can help prevent the same thing from happening again. And in order to do that, I need His Highness here. We can prosecute His Majesty with the help of you and Bakugo as major witnesses in the case against him. You have the scars and wounds that are proof to His Majesty’s wrongdoings. You, Bakugo and His Highness, together, can usher in a new era for this kingdom. Something that this kingdom is in desperate need of. Both you and Bakugo can get your status back, no more living like criminals to keep your dignity. No more prejudice against the dragon masters and shifters. You’ll be treated as equals. Isn’t that what you want? Isn’t that your reasoning for what you did all of this for?” Dabi asked with a genuine look on his face. Kirishima could tell he truly wanted what was best for the kingdom. All Kirishima and Bakugo wanted was to be treated as equals. That’s the only reason they did what they did.

“If I tell you where they are, you’ll make sure that the King pays for his crimes against my people and the dragon masters? That something like this will never happen again? That Bakugo and I will be able to go back to how we were before all of this happened?” Kirishima asked as he looked at Dabi with hope in his eyes. Kirishima could see the sincerity in Dabi’s eyes as he nodded.

“I can promise you that the King will be brought to justice with the help of you, Bakugo and His Highness. All I need to make it happen is the location of where Bakugo, Midoriya and His Highness are. After that we can work together to make this kingdom a better place for all and restore the dragon kingdom back to its former glory. What do you say?” Dabi asked as he looked at Kirishima who seemed to be going back and forth in his mind whether or not to believe him. He seemed pretty genuine about bringing Enji’s crimes to light, about how Todoroki will be the one to give new life to the kingdom and to help establish laws to treat dragon shifters as equals. Kirishima still seemed unsure but right now this was the best option he had; he was the only person who seemed to truly want to work with them instead of using them to get what they wanted.

“Alright then. I’ll tell you.” Kirishima said as Dabi’s eyes lit up, pleased that Kirishima was going to tell him. “It’s about a three hour ride by stagecoach to the east of here. We’re located deep in the mountains at the edge of the old dragon shifter territory. Once you make it to the mountains you’ll see the castle built on the highest peak of the mountains. That’s where Bakugo, Midoriya and His Highness are.” Kirishima said as he looked at Dabi who had a big grin plastered on his face.

“I can’t believe that worked.” Dabi said as he let out a laugh, Kirishima’s face going pale at the statement.

“You...you lied to me?!” Kirishima asked in disbelief as he pulled at his restraints in anger.

“I didn’t lie. You are going to help bring His Majesty’s crimes to light. But His Highness isn’t going to be the one taking the throne. He’s too weak to rule a kingdom. I on the other hand will be the one taking the throne.” Dabi said as he looked at Kirishima.

“You can’t. Only someone of royal blood can take the throne!” Kirishima argued back as he tried to get closer to Dabi, not making it far thanks to the restraints.

“Indeed. Which is why I can. I have the blood of His Majesty running through my veins.” Dabi declared. Kirishima’s eyes went wide at that statement.

“What? That’s not possible. The King only had three kids.” Kirishima stated.

“No. I’m the first in line for the throne. His Majesty had an affair with my mother who worked at an inn in the kingdom before he was arranged to marry Her Majesty. Because of the fact that I was a bastard son of the King, I couldn’t take the throne so he made a deal with my mother that he will take me in as his advisor once I was old enough. Because of the law the King put in place about a full blooded royal taking the throne, I couldn’t take over seeing as I wasn’t a child of full royal blood. However, once the King is dethroned the law will no longer stand and I can take my place as the rightful heir to the throne, not my father’s poor excuse for an heir. He tried to raise him in his image but unfortunately that didn’t work out as well as he planned. I’ve been by his side for years, learning everything he had to teach me. I’m the one who’s going to be the new King. And it’s all thanks to you and that dragon master. So thank you for making this possible. Truly, you made my job that much easier for me.” Dabi said as he approached Kirishima with a smile on his face.

“How dare you! You won’t be able to get away with this. I won’t let it happen!” Kirishima declared as he pulled at the shackles around his wrist.

“What can you do to stop me? You can’t use your powers, and quite frankly you don’t pose much of a threat. Someone as easily swayed as you doesn’t really scare me. I’ll be sure to tell Bakugo how easy it was to get you to talk.” Dabi said as he waved him off as he walked over to the door of the cell. “You guards are welcome to do whatever you want to him, just make sure not to kill him. I still need him for now.” Dabi said as he exited the room, leaving down the hall.

“Yes, Sir.” The two guards that were standing guard outside of the cell replied simultaneously. They entered the room, shutting the door behind them as they made their way over to Kirishima with smiles on their faces. As Dabi walked down the hall, he heard Kirishima’s screams echo throughout the corridor. As he was walking down the hall, Twice appeared, joining Dabi as he made his way out of the dungeon.

“Did you get the letter?” Dabi asked as he turned to face him as he walked.

“Yep. No .” Twice replied as he handed the paper to Dabi. Dabi took the piece of paper, reading it over as another smile grew on his face.

“Perfect. Time to bring this to His Majesty. Tell Toga and Shigaraki to put together a small group of guards. We have the location of the dragon master and His Highness. After we get the King to renounce His Highness’ right to the throne we will make our next move. You’re dismissed for now.” Dabi said as he made his way to the stairs leading out of the dungeon, Twice stopping at the bottom of the stairs.

“Yes, Sir. Don’t tell me what to do. ” Twice responded as he disappeared back down one of the halls of the dungeon. Dabi smiled as he folded the paper, putting it in his cloak as he finished walking up the stairs to the main room of the castle.

“Yes?” Enji asked as he heard a knock on the door to his study. The door opened, Dabi entering the room as he shut the door behind him.

“I have figured out who is behind the recent events, Your Majesty. Someone from the castle has been working against you.” Dabi stated as he bowed before making his way over to Enji’s desk where he was seated.

“Who is it?” Enji asked as he set down the papers he was looking over as he turned his attention to Dabi.

“You’re not going to like the answer, Your Majesty.” Dabi replied as he pulled out the folded piece of paper from his cloak, handing it to Enji. Enji took the paper, unfolding it. He read the paper, his face having a disappointed look on it as he finished reading the paper.

“Shoto did all of this?” Enji asked in disbelief as he looked over the paper in astonishment.

“I told you that you weren’t going to like the answer, Your Majesty. His Highness was behind everything. He let Midoriya and himself get captured to use Bakugo as a way to remove you from the throne. He was planning to bring to light what you had done two years ago to the people of the kingdom so he could take the throne from you and have you persecuted for your crimes. Your own heir was the one to betray you and the proof is right there.” Dabi replied apologetically as he watched Enji’s reactions.

“I don’t believe this. My own blood turning against me!” Enji yelled as he slammed the piece of paper down on his desk.

“His right to the throne has to be renounced seeing as he committed high treason against his King and his kingdom. He also needs to be tried for his crimes. He’ll never be able to take the throne once his deeds are revealed.” Dabi stated as he walked around the room.

“I can’t believe this. He was meant to be the perfect successor. Both of his siblings won’t be able to take the throne. They aren’t prepared to. Their training would have to start all over again before they could even be considered to be my successor.” Enji said as he placed his hand over his mouth, dragging it down, grooming his beard as he shook his head in disbelief.

“It’s terrible news but it has to be done. I apologize, Your Majesty.” Dabi said as he turned and bowed to Enji regretfully.

“I have to tell the people about this. Once we find him, he is going to be punished severely for his crimes. I’ll make sure something like this never happens again.” Enji said as he calmed himself down somewhat. “Announce to the people of the kingdom that I will be making a speech in a few days regarding the future of the kingdom.” Enji said as he pulled out some blank pieces of paper from one of the drawers on his desk as he began to write his announcement to the people.

“Yes, Your Majesty. I’ll let you know when we find His Highness and the dragon master. If that is all, I’ll be on my way.” Dabi said as he looked to Enji, waiting to be dismissed.

“Yes, that is all. You may leave.” Enji said as he picked up his quill, dipping the tip into the small bottle of black ink on his desk.

“Thank you, Sir. I’ll let you know when we’ve found them.” Dabi said as he bowed before leaving the room, shutting the door behind him. “Don’t worry little Todoroki Shoto. Your brother will be there soon to bring you home.” Dabi said to himself as he made his way down the hall, heading back to his room for the night with a smile on his face.

Chapter Text

“Are you ready, Your Majesty?” Dabi asked as he entered Enji’s study. Enji was standing by the windows of the room looking out at the crowd that had gathered in the courtyard of the castle. There were guards surrounding the crowd to ensure that a riot didn’t start. There was also a row of about twenty guards standing towards the back of the stage that was set up in front of the castle stairs where Enji was going to give his speech. It had been a few days since Dabi informed Enji that Todoroki was the one behind trying to take the throne from him by force.

“Of course I’m ready. I just can’t believe Shoto was behind all of this. Both Natsuo and Fuyumi had the chance to succeed the throne from me but they don’t have what it takes to rule. Now I have to pick one of them to be the next heir. It’s too late to try and teach them again, but I have a duty to do what’s right for the kingdom and its people.” Enji said as he looked down to the papers in his hands. Dabi thought to himself for a moment before making his way over to Enji.

“You do have another option Your Majesty.” Dabi said as Enji turned to face him. “I may not be a full blooded royal, but I have been by your side for years, learning from you and watching you. After all, I am the first in line by birth right to take the throne from you.” Dabi said as Enji shook his head, walking away from him.

“That may be the case, but the kingdom won’t stand for a bastard to take the throne. Your mother tried to convince me to take you in seeing as you are my first born and raise you to take the throne but that was never going to happen. So I made a deal with her that once you were old enough I’d take you in and raise you to be my advisor and work by my side. You weren’t raised like your siblings to be a ruler, you were raised to help a ruler.” Enji said as he tried to dismiss the topic.

“True, I wasn’t raised to be a ruler. But I have been by your side, helping you for just over ten years. I have the ability to make the tough decisions, seeing as I’ve helped you make them. If you would just consider it. You don’t have many options now, but out of the ones you do have, I’m the best choice. All you have to do is repeal the law stating that a child not born of full royal blood can’t take the throne. If you just give me the option and teach me whatever it is that I need to know, you will find that I can rule better than any of them could, even better than Shoto who was the one raised in your shadow.” Dabi pleaded with Enji, trying to get him to see that what he was saying was true. “All I’m asking is that you give me a chance to prove myself to you.” Dabi said as he started to walk towards Enji who still had his back to him.

“I’ve listened to what you have to say. Unfortunately I can’t do what you ask. Granted you are more experienced than say Natsuo or Fuyumi, but you aren’t as experienced as Shoto is either. He was the only one suitable enough to take the throne from me and now that he has gone against me, I cannot allow for him to take the throne. I’ve made my choice and that is to let Natsuo take the throne. He may hate me just as much as Shoto but at least he never spoke up against me or tried to forcibly take the throne. He’s the closest option to what these people need in a ruler.” Enji said as he turned around to face Dabi.

“Please, if you’d just reconsider-,” Dabi started before Enji’s face grew serious as he spoke.

“No Dabi. I’ve heard enough. I’ve made my decision to make Natsuo my successor. Don’t forget that I am your King. You may be my first born but that doesn’t give you the right that you think you have to take the throne from me.” Enji declared as he looked down at Dabi.

“But-,” Dabi started.

“But nothing. Now drop it. I have a kingdom to address.” Enji said as he started to walk over to the door of his study. “Now let’s go before we have a riot on our hands.” Enji stated as he left the room. Dabi stood there in the study for a few moments before he took a deep breath.

“A riot isn’t necessarily what you should be worried about right now, Your Majesty .” Dabi said to himself before he adjusted his cloak, making his way out of the room.

“We’re ready for you, Your Majesty.” One of the guards said as he stood at attention next to the front doors of the castle as Enji descended the stairs, entering the main hall of the castle. Dabi followed not too far behind Enji as they made their way over to the doors.

“Thank you. Now let’s get this over with.” Enji said as he stood tall as some of the castle’s servants fixed his clothes, placing his robe over them. One of the servants placed his crown on his head as one of the guards left through the doors to announce Enji.

“Ladies and gentlemen of the kingdom of Todoroki. I now announce His Royal Majesty, King Enji Todoroki.” The guard said as he gestured to the doors of the castle from the stage, Enji walking out from behind the doors. The crowd of people cheered and clapped as Enji made his way down the stairs of the castle, waving to the crowd before him. As he descended the stairs, the royal trumpet fanfare rang out, the melody playing throughout the courtyard. When Enji made his way to the podium the trumpets stopped and the guards hushed the crowd.

“Good afternoon to you all. Thank you all for appearing before me today. As your King I have a duty to keep you informed of what is happening to the kingdom. Today I have an announcement to make about the future of the kingdom. As I’m sure all of you are aware, my son, His Highness Prince Todoroki Shoto was supposed to be the one to succeed me as ruler of this kingdom. I regret to inform you all that that is no longer the case.” Enji finished as the crowd before him started to talk amongst themselves. “Prince Shoto has been found guilty of conspiring to commit a coup d'etat against me and the kingdom.” Enji said before the crowd erupted, asking several questions at once about the accusation.

“What do you mean?!” One person in the crowd shouted.

“That can’t possibly be true, Your Majesty!” Another person yelled over the crowd.

“Where is the proof?” Another angry voice shouted.

“Please, calm yourselves.” Enji spoke, waiting for the crowd to die down. “I have in my possession a letter that His Highness addressed to his royal advisor, leaving her instructions to help him overthrow me. We have also received word that he was working with enemies of this kingdom to bring about my downfall. He has been found guilty of working with a rebellion, a group of dragon shifters, to achieve his goals.” Enji stated as the crowd started asking questions again.

“Working with the dragon shifters?” One person asked.

“Are we on the brink of another war with the shifters, Your Majesty?” Another voice asked, filled with concern. A bunch of other people started asking the same question.

“Calm down everyone, please.” Enji stated, speaking again once the crowd fell silent. “We are familiar with this rebellion that he has been working with. It is a small group of dragon shifters that didn’t agree with how things were handled two years ago when our kingdom was on the cusp of a war with the shifters. As you all know the shifters are a race of people with dragon abilities, even being able to take the form of a dragon. With these abilities, they believe themselves to be the superior race. They believe that because they have been born with these supernatural abilities that they are the dominant race and wish to see the humans bow down to them. They have attacked us for many years with this belief in mind. Seeing as His Highness was close to the son of the dragon masters, Bakugo Katsuki, who’s parents are the rulers of the dragon shifter kingdom, we believe that His Highness was tricked into working with the enemy. He claimed that he was trying to work with the dragon shifters to put an end to the tension between us but that has been proved to not be the case. With all the evidence that we have against him, his is to be tried for conspiring to commit an act of high treason against the castle, his kingdom and his people.” Enji declared as he looked at the crowd. Some people were mumbling to each other about what Enji just said.

“His Highness was working with the dragon shifters?” One person asked over the crowd.

“Was he really planning to start a war between us and the shifters?” Another person asked.

“I can’t believe it. He seemed so nice.” Another person said disheartenedly.

“I know how you all feel. I couldn’t believe that my son, His Highness, would try to overthrow the kingdom. I have raised him by my side his entire life so he could be the perfect heir, to be the next King that this kingdom deserved. Because of all the evidence against him, I have been forced to revoke his birthright as heir to the throne, making him no longer eligible to succeed the throne from me.” Enji declared as the crowd grew into an uproar once again.

“He can’t take the throne now?” One person asked in disbelief.

“Who’s going to be the next ruler then?” Another asked, concerned.

“I know you are all concerned about the future of this kingdom, and who will take the throne after me. After finding out of the treachery that Prince Shoto had committed, I thought long and hard about who I believed would be the best ruler for this kingdom. I have decided that my other son, His Highness Prince Todoroki Natsuo, shall be the one to inherit the throne from me. I have deemed him the best suited for the role. Prince Shoto had been raised by my side since birth, but Prince Natsuo was raised in my shadow. He has been working with neighboring kingdoms and has helped me with running this kingdom on several occasions. I’ll admit that he has helped me to come up with compromises between us and the neighboring kingdoms surrounding us. Because of his critical thinking and extraordinary leadership skills, along with the fact that he is kind and compassionate but also stern and commanding like a leader should be, I have decided to make him my successor to take the throne.” Enji announced as the crowd began talking amongst themselves once more.

“Prince Natsuo?” One person asked.

“Why Not Princess Fuyumi?” Another questioned.

“I heard that Prince Natsuo is in the Aizawa Kingdom right now working on a trade agreement.” Another person stated.

“It is true that Prince Natsuo is in the Aizawa Kingdom right now, but he has been informed of the fact that he had been made the new heir to the throne. He regrets that he couldn’t be here to speak to you formally about his succession. Prince Shoto is being questioned right now about his plans to go against the kingdom, we are also tracking down the shifter rebellion that he is working with. He will be tried for his actions against the kingdom, along with his advisor and the dragon rebellion once we find and arrest them. I will do what I did two years ago and prevent another war from tearing through this land and continue to keep this kingdom safe from the dragon shifters. My son, Prince Natsuo, will do the same when the time comes for him to ascend to the throne. This kingdom will continue to stand strong and prosper and not be threatened by the likes of the dragon shifters any more!” Enji finished as he bowed to the crowd. The crowd erupted into applause, some people in the crowd shouting hate about the dragon shifters. Some cheered for the new King, some kept quiet as they took in the fact that Todoroki was working with their enemy. As the crowd cheered, Enji made his way back up the front stairs of the castle, the doors shutting behind him as he entered the castle. A couple servants helped to remove his robe and crown before Enji made his way back to his study.

“That was a great speech as always, Your Majesty.” Dabi said as he followed him back up the grand staircase.

“Thank you. Natsuo will be returning from the Aizawa Kingdom in a few weeks, so please get the castle ready for his return to celebrate his new title of heir to the Todoroki Kingdom. I’m going to retire to my study for the rest of the day. Let me know when you hear anything on the dragon master and His Highness. We need to start preparing a trial against him when he gets back.” Enji said as Dabi followed him through the halls until they arrived at Enji’s study.

“Yes, Your Majesty. We are working on finding their location. I’ll let you know when we find something concrete about their whereabouts. I have several scouting units looking around the kingdom and the neighboring kingdoms as well to search for them. We will find them soon enough.” Dabi said as Enji opened the door to his study.

“You are dismissed for now. Let me know when you find them.” Enji said as he turned back to Dabi.

“Yes, Your Majesty.” Dabi said as he bowed to Enji. Enji acknowledged him with a nod of his head before entering his study, shutting the door behind him. Dabi stood up straight with a smile on his face as he started walking back to his room. When he got to his room, Toga, Twice and Shigaraki were already waiting for him.

“Everything is ready, just waiting for your order.” Shigaraki spoke up, looking to Dabi when he entered the room.

“Good, let's head out then and bring the Prince back home.” Dabi said with a wicked smile as a blue flame erupted from his hand.

Chapter Text

It had been a few days since Kirishima had left the castle and Bakugo was starting to feel uneasy. This is the first time Kirishima has been gone for so long. Bakugo was starting to wonder if he was even going to come back. This was the first time that Kirishima was actually upset with him, he figured he needed time to calm down but he didn’t expect him to be gone this long. After the ‘meeting’ with Todoroki and Midoriya, he had brought Midoriya back down to the dungeon. After finding out about Todoroki’s plan, Midoriya became quiet, not really fighting him anymore like he had been. Todoroki was the same, always quiet but he was also angry, both at Bakugo and himself for everything that had happened. Bakugo expected to feel a bit better after taking Midoriya and Todoroki down with him, but he just felt empty. He felt like something was missing and he didn’t know what it was. His emotions were all over the place; sadness, worry, anger, guilt.

Every night he would wait on the balcony to his room for hours, waiting to see if Kirishima would return but he never did. He didn't want to admit to himself that he was wrong, but Todoroki’s words kept running through his mind. ‘ Don’t you think that’s not fair to Kirishima? I can tell he truly cares for you… Kirishima and you have a bond stronger than what we had. He has been by your side through everything.’ Those words kept running through his mind every night as he waited on that balcony. Did he really screw up the bond that they had? Would Kirishima ever come back? Would he actually forgive him like he always did? Another thought passed through his mind, the last words Kirishima told him before he left. ‘ You know, I’ve forgiven a lot of things over the years because of everything that happened. I forgave it all because you weren’t acting like yourself and who could blame you after everything you went through. Now I see that you really don’t care about anything except your precious revenge.’

“That’s not true.” Bakugo mumbled to himself as he rested his arms against the railing of the balcony, bringing his head down, burying it in his arms. He wasn’t treating him that way because he didn’t care, he was doing it because he cared. He didn’t want to get Kirishima involved more than he already was because he knew how things were going to end. Sure he wanted to put an end to the King but he knew it wasn’t going to be that easy. He knew he probably wasn’t going to make it out alive again like last time. He knew that and he wanted to protect Kirishima from the same fate. He was willing to die for Kirishima, even if he didn't make it out alive he knew things would be better for Kirishima. “He was right.” Bakugo said  to himself as he let out a chuckle. If Bakugo didn’t care about anyone, it was himself. He had already lost so much at the hands of the Todoroki’s, he didn’t want to lose the only thing that was still precious to him. A lot of good realizing this now was going to do him. It was already too late. He knew Kirishima wasn’t going to come back. Yet he still waited, still believing that Kirishima would come back to him, even after everything that happened. But that was just wishful thinking, Bakugo thought to himself as a yawn escaped him.

He hasn’t been sleeping much the last few nights, seeing as he was staying up most of the night waiting for something that wasn’t going to happen. His bed didn’t feel the same without Kirishima there. His smell was still there within the sheets. He missed the warmth of his body snuggled close to him as they slept. He really fucked things up. Now he was wondering if he was ever going to get the chance to apologize to him. He knew he didn’t deserve his forgiveness, he just wanted to tell him he was sorry, for everything. Bakugo climbed into bed as these thoughts ran through his mind. He wished his mind would stop racing so he could actually sleep. Eventually he managed to fall asleep, but not for long.

“Sir, wake up! We’re being attacked!” One of the other shifters said as he came barging into Bakugo’s room.

“What?! By who?!” Bakugo said as he threw the covers of himself, putting on his shoes.

“We aren’t sure but maybe the Todoroki’s have found us!” The shifter said as Bakugo put his cape on as he grabbed his sword off the hook it was hanging on, attaching the sheath to his belt.

“Is the King leading the attack?” Bakugo asked as he followed the shifter through the castle. All the guards and other shifters were scrambling around the castle, grabbing weapons as they ran out the front door of the castle.

“We don’t believe so. All we know is that four people were leading the charge. They had several people on horseback along with a few carriages. It looks like a small army, maybe a thousand people at most, making their way to the castle.” The shifter stated as he lead Bakugo outside the castle doors. Bakugo saw the army approaching, they were maybe a few miles out from the castle now.

“Alright. Protect the Prince and the green haired kid we have in the dungeon. Whatever you do, don’t let them get taken. Protect this castle with your life. We all knew this was going to happen sooner or later.” Bakugo ordered as he drew his sword.

“Yes sir!” The shifter said before he ran back into the castle.

“Kirishima, let’s go!” Bakugo ordered out of habit. “Fuck!” Bakugo cursed under his breath, remembering that he wasn’t there. Right when he really needed him the most. “Damn it!” Bakugo shouted as he made his way over to the stables, getting on one of the horses. He flicked the reins as he made his way out of the castle grounds, heading to meet the army head on. As he approached the army he could see several of the dragon shifters take flight, attacking with fire to try and keep them back from the castle. As he was approaching, he saw one of the shifters laying on the ground with an arrow in his side. “What happened?” Bakugo asked as he quickly stopped his horse, climbing off to make his way over to the downed shifter.

“They’re using enchanted weapons like they did two years ago. They are rendering our dragon abilities useless. Anyone who gets hit by their arrows can’t use their dragon powers. They mostly have long range weapons, which makes it difficult for us to get close and attack, our fire only reaches so far.” The shifter said as Bakugo quickly and carefully removed the arrow from his side, patching it up as best he could with a piece of cloth he tore off his cape.

“They’re playing dirty as always. It’s never a fair fight with them.” Bakugo said as he helped the shifter stand up. “Take my horse and head back to the castle and warn the others about this. Try to hold down the castle as best you can. If that’s not possible, flee as fast as you can. We don’t need another massacre on our hands.” Bakugo ordered as he helped the shifter up onto his horse.

“But Sir, we can’t leave you behind!” The shifter tried to fight back.

“Yes you can. I’ve fought them before and made it out alive, this time won’t be any different. The shifters are more important to me. We can’t have them wipe out our race because of this one battle. Now go and warn the others. Fly as far away from here as you can, all that matters to me is that you get out of her alive. I owe it to someone to protect all of you. Now go!” Bakugo ordered as he hit the back of the horse, making the horse take off in the direction of the castle. Bakugo sheathed his sword as he started to run down the mountain. The army was closer now, maybe only a mile away from the castle now. He could see the flags the army was carrying, seeing the royal crest of the Todoroki family in the center of them.

“Damn them!” Bakugo shouted as he started to head to the front lines. He could see the dragons flying around over head, maneuvering out of the way of the arrows that were being fired at them. He saw one dragon fly down and ram some of the soldiers on horseback and one of their carriages. Another dragon tried to dive bomb the front line of the army and that’s when Bakugo saw it. A huge cloud of blue flame erupted up into the sky, hitting the dragon before it could hit it’s target. Bakugo stopped in his tracks; he recognized that blue flame. All of a sudden, memories from two years ago flashed into his mind. Those were the same blue flames from the night he managed to escape the dungeon. He was being attacked by the person who saved him and Kirishima two years ago. Bakugo stood their in shock, wondering why the man who saved him was here attacking him. Was this part of the King’s plan all along? Did he willingly let them escape all those years ago? Was he expecting Bakugo to attack him once he was free? Was he planning this whole thing all along? Suddenly a realization hit him. This wasn’t his plan anymore, this wasn’t revenge. The King had planned everything, predicted every move he was going to make. He was being used all along, just a pawn being played with the entire time. He knew all of his moves before he made them.

“Damn that bastard!” Bakugo shouted as he started running again. This was bad, the enemy was approaching closer by the minute. He looked to the skies once again, seeing that the number of dragons flying around have drastically declined. He watched as one dragon got hit with several arrows, falling to the ground. As he got closer, he could see the blue flames getting closer. He spotted the carriage that the blue flames were coming from, deciding that that was his target. Bakugo grabbed an abandoned horse, climbing on it as he charged to the front of the enemy lines. He drew his sword as he approached the army, attacking their soldiers as he went by. Before he knew it, he made his way through the soldiers, approaching the carriage that he was looking for.

“Fuck you you Todoroki bastards!” Bakugo shouted as he leapt from the horse, grabbing his sword with both hands as he began to swing it at the man with the blue flames. Before he could even reach the man, he was struck with a ball of blue flames. Bakugo tried to block the attack with his cutlass, using the broad side of the sword to deflect the attack as best he could. The attack sent him backwards, landing on the ground.

“Now, is that really a way to greet the man who saved your life?” Dabi asked as he got off the carriage; Toga, Twice and Shigaraki joining him as the rest of the army advanced to the castle.

“Bastard! This was his plan all along wasn’t it?! That asshole of a King!” Bakugo asked as he ran to attack him again only to get blocked by Toga who had made her way in front of Dabi to block the attack with her two daggers, Bakugo’s sword getting caught in the ‘V’ her daggers made, brushing his sword off, sending him stumbling back.

“I like you, you’re feisty.” Toga said as she spun her daggers around in her hands as Bakugo sent her a sharp glare as he raised his sword again.

“Don’t you think that if His Majesty were behind this, he would be here?” Dabi said as he held his hand up, showing the blue flame that engulfed it burning away.

“Don’t fuck with me! I am not someone you want to mess with right now!” Bakugo said as he went for a thrust with his sword. Toga blocked him again, sending him back once more. Before he could attack again, Bakugo was surrounded by multiple copies of Twice. “Illusion magic.” Bakugo growled to himself as he looked around him, preparing for an attack from any of the six copies that surrounded him.

“Why not?” Dabi asked sarcastically. “Now that I think about it, don’t you always have a shifter with you? Where is he?” Dabi asked snidely. Bakugo’s eyes lit up in anger at that remark, now knowing why Kirishima hasn’t returned.

“You fucker! You captured him didn’t you?!” Bakugo asked as he sliced through the illusions surrounding him, going for another attack. This time his sword was stopped by a hand grabbing it. It was the guy with shoulder length, unruly blue hair who blocked his attack this time.

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you.” Shigaraki said as Bakugo’s sword started to rust and decay where his hand was holding it. Bakugo removed his sword from his grip, stepping back from them. He didn’t expect to be fighting all magic users.

“You’re all magic users aren’t you?” Bakugo asked as he backed away, now uneasy considering who he was fighting.

“Pretty much.” Dabi replied as the blue flame dances in his hand.

“I’m not. I much prefer stabbing people and watching them bleed.” Toga replied cheerfully, still playing with her blades.

“What have you done with Kirishima?!” Bakugo asked, starting to get more and more upset by the second.

“Nothing really. Just managed to convince him to tell us where you were keeping the Prince and his lover. It was surprisingly easy; he’s too trustworthy for his own good.” Dabi replied as Bakugo took a step forward for another attack, being blocked once again by Toga.

“I’ll skin you alive, you bastard!” Bakugo yelled as he went to go strike Dabi with an another attack from his sword. Dabi rolled his eyes, sending another fireball Bakugo’s way, the flame burning some of his cape when he reacted quickly, grabbing it to try and deflect the direct hit. When Bakugo went to go throw his cape off so he didn’t get burned, Toga disarmed him, knocking his sword out of his hand with one dagger as the other grazed Bakugo across his chest. When Bakugo grabbed at the wound, two of Twice’s clones appeared beside him. They both grabbed him by the arms as they both kicked Bakugo in the back of his knees in one swift motion, knocking him to the ground on his knees. The clones each had a grip on his wrists, their other hands firmly placed on Bakugo’s shoulder, holding him down.

“I can’t have you do that before I complete my plan. Shigaraki, looks like I will need that vile.” Dabi stated as he turned to face Shigaraki. Shigaraki pulled a small glass vile out from his cloak, handing it to Dabi. Dabi removed the stopper as he made his way over to Bakugo who was trying to fight the clones.

“Get whatever that is away from me!” Bakugo growled out as he tried to break the hold the clones had on him.

“See, we came here to get you. All three of you, so I can’t do that.” Dabi asked as he stood in front of Bakugo. “I was hoping you would come peacefully, but that’s no longer an option. This should make it easier for us to get you back to the castle.” Dabi said as he grabbed Bakugo by the jaw, forcing his mouth opened. He poured the blue liquid into his mouth, covering his mouth with his hand once the vile was empty so he couldn’t spit it out. “Now be nice and drink up.” Dabi said as he made sure to keep his hand in place. Bakugo tried to fight him but then Dabi’s other hand came up to his face, pinching his nose. “Swallow it.” Dabi demanded, his face going cold as he looked down at Bakugo. Bakugo had no other option but to swallow the mysterious liquid.

“Fuck you!” Bakugo growled out once Dabi removed his hands.

“Sir, we managed to get His Highness and his head knight.” One of the soldiers stated as he made his way over to them.

“Good, load them into the carriages. We got what we came for. Let’s head back to the castle. No, wait, actually, kill what you can of the remaining shifters before we leave.” Dabi said as he looked at Bakugo with a heinous look on his face.

“You bastards! I’ll kill all of you!” Bakugo shouted as he tried to fight the hold that the clones had on him, finding that his body was more sluggish than before. “You fucker.” Bakugo said as he looked up at Dabi, finding it very hard to keep his eyes open. He wasn’t at his peak mentally or physically so the potion was affecting him faster than it should.

“What’s the problem, feeling tired? That’s fine. You’ll have plenty of time to rest on the way back to the castle.” Dabi said as he made his way back over to the carriage, climbing in.

“Ohhh, this is going to be fun. What are you gonna do to him when we get back, hot stuff?” Toga asked as she skipped back over to the carriage. Bakugo couldn’t make out his reply as his hearing started to fail him, his vision going blurry before he eventually passed out.

______________________________________________

“Wakey wakey sleepy head.” Toga singsoned as she grabbed a handful of Bakugo hair, yanking his head up. Bakugo let out a groan of pain as he slowly started to come to. Bakugo blinked his eyes open, looking around. He was being dragged through the dungeon of the Todoroki castle.

“Now why did you have to go and wake him Toga? Please pull my hair like that too .” Twice said as he kept a hold on Bakugo’s arm. Once Bakugo felt he had enough strength back he tried to fight the hold Toga and Twice had on him, finding out quickly that his arms were restrained in cuffs behind him. As he tried to fight them, he saw that Todoroki was being led by Shigaraki in front of him. Todoroki’s arms were also restrained behind his back in cuffs.

“Please, let me go!” Midoriya shouted from behind him, trying to hit Dabi with his restrained hands as he kept a firm hold on his arm as he pulled him along.

“I just wanted him to see how well we’ve been taking care of his dragon for him.” Toga said right on cue as they stopped in front of one of the cells. Shigaraki unlocked the door to the celll, Bakugo getting a good view of Kirishima. Bakugo’s eyes went wide as memories of what happened to him and Kirishima two year ago in this dungeon flew into his mind when he saw him. Kirishima was lying on the floor, unmoving. His arms were restrained behind his back in shackles, his feet restrained as well. There was a thick metal collar placed around his neck, Bakugo seeing the red marks from struggling against it on his neck. His mouth was covered by a metal muzzle that Enji designed for dragon shifters. Bakugo could see how badly beaten Kirishima was, the bruises and cuts standing out against his pale skin. There wasn’t a place on his body that Bakugo could see that wasn’t bruised or cut up. As the door to the cell opened, Kirishima flinched, trying to back away from whoever was coming in. When Kirishima looked up, he met Bakugo’s eyes. Bakugo could see the pain in his eyes, the regret that he felt from telling them where they were hiding. When Bakugo met his eyes, that’s when he snapped.

Suddenly a blast went off between Toga and Twice, making them release their hold on Bakugo. Once Bakugo was free, he broke the cuffs that were keeping his arms restrained. Once his arms were free he turned around, raising his hand to Dabi as another blast emerged from the palm of his hand. Dabi reacted quickly, releasing his hold on Midoriya as he used his flames to try and deflect Bakugo’s attack.

“What the hell did you bastards do to him?! Bakugo shouted as he kept attacking Dabi with blast after blast, completely over run by his emotions.

“He’s a magic user too?!” Toga asked in shock as she moved out of the way when Bakugo tried to attack her.

“No, not really.” Shigaraki replied as he backed away from the fight, not wanting to get involved as he began scratching at his neck.

“He must have a bond with the shifter. His power comes from the bond he has with the dragon but it can only be used when they are in close proximity to each other. That’s why he didn’t attack us earlier. Damn it. We have to restrain him quickly with the enchanted shackles before he blows this whole place up.” Dabi replied as he tried his best to deflect Bakugo’s attacks. “Normally he would have more control over the borrowed powers, but I guess once he saw his dragon he snapped and lost control.” Dabi said as he deflected a particularly strong blast which sent him sliding back across the floor. “Twice!” Dabi shouted, Twice knowing what to do. Suddenly Bakugo was surrounded by a bunch of clones of Twice, each one trying to attack him or restrain him.

“Toga, get the shackles.” Shigaraki added from where he was standing at the end of the hall.

“I’ll kill you all!” Bakugo shouted as he began attacking the clones, destroying them with one blast after another.

“I don’t take orders from you.” Toga said as she made her way into the cell, grabbing a pair of enchanted shackles as she handed them off to Twice.

“I got this. Oh a present for me, you shouldn’t have! ” Twice said as he tried to make his way to Bakugo who was still putting up a fight against the clones. When he went to attack one of the clones, Twice took the opportunity to lock one of the cuffs around Bakugo’s wrist. Twice was quick as he used his clones to keep Bakugo distracted as he pulled Bakugo’s arm with the cuff on it behind his back. He quickly reached for Bakugo’s other arm, putting the other cuff around his wrist before he could set off another explosion. Bakugo screamed as he tried to fight Twice and the few remaining clones of his, trying to break the shackles around his wrists.

“If you keep fighting like that, you’ll hurt yourself.” Dabi said as he grabbed Midoriya who was sitting on the ground, curled up in a ball.

“Where do you think you’re going? He’s trying to get away .” Twice said as three clones surrounded Todoroki who was trying to sneak away once the commotion started. Todoroki shot Twice a glare as the clones grabbed him, leading him back to the cell.

“Fuck you! I’ll kill you! I’ll kill every single one of you for what you did!” Bakugo shouted as the remaining clones threw him into the cell with Kirishima; Midoriya and Todoroki joining them in the cell as well. Shigaraki shut the door to the cell, locking it as Bakugo kicked at the iron bars that separated him from Shigaraki, Dabi, Twice and Toga.

“What do you want with us Dabi?” Todoroki asked. “Didn’t father send you out to bring me back? Why are Midoriya and I locked in here as well.”

“Oh that’s right, you haven’t heard. His Majesty has revoked your right to the throne.” Dabi said as Todoroki’s eyes went wide at what he said. “See, we found evidence that you were trying to overthrow His Majesty by working with the dragon shifters and the dragon master. So you are going to be tried for committing high treason against your King and your kingdom.” Dabi said as he leaned against his back against the iron bars of the cell.

“What?” Todoroki asked in disbelief. He couldn’t believe it, his whole plan was falling apart around him.

“Yeah, your brother, Prince Natsuo is now the heir to the throne. But that doesn’t matter because I’m going to be the one to take the throne from father .” Dabi stated as he turned to face Todoroki. “And in order to do that, I need the help of the dragon master and his dragon to make it possible. Once I get him to repeal the law that states only a child of full royal blood can take the throne, I plan to reveal his crimes to everyone in the kingdom. A King that commited an unwarranted genocide against a whole race isn’t suitable to be called a King. And his heir who went behind his back to try and overthrow him isn’t suitable to be a King either.” Dabi said as he looked to Todoroki with a wicked grin on his face.

“You can’t possibly do that.” Todoroki stated as he took a step closer to the iron bars.

“Oh but I can. I have everything I need to do that right here.” Dabi said as he gestured to the cell with his arms, holding them out in a grand motion. “Poor little Prince Todoroki Shoto, did I pull the rug out from under you?” Dabi asked snidely as he made a faux apologetic face. “Now sit tight and be a good little Prince. I’ll be back to see all of you in a few days.” Dabi said with a wave of his hand as he started walking down the hall of the dungeon as Twice, Toga and Shigaraki following behind him. Once they were gone, Todoroki dropped to his knees in shock.

“Everything I worked for, taken right from under me.” Todoroki stated in an emotionless tone. Midoriya dropped down next to him, resting his hands on Todoroki’s shoulder as he tried to comfort him.

“It’ll be okay. Don’t worry, we’re gonna find a way out of here. Right Bakugo?” Midoriya asked as he turned around to look at Bakugo who was sitting on his knees in front of Kirishima who was still lying on the floor, too weak to sit up.

“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. All of this happened because of me. All because I was too focused on getting revenge for what happened to us. You were right.” Bakugo said as he bowed his head down, unable to bring himself to look Kirishima in the eyes. Kirishima tried to speak, but nothing but muffled sounds came out. Seeing as Midoriya was the only one whose hands were restrained in front of him, he made his way over to Bakugo and Kirishima. Midoriya knelt down beside Bakugo carefully as he removed the muzzle over Kirishima’s mouth. Kirishima coughed a few times as Midoriya stood back up, silently making his way back over to Todoroki.

“No, I’m sorry. He tricked me into telling him where you were. He told me that he was trying to do the same thing we were and he needed our help to do it. I shouldn’t have trusted him.” Kirishima said as he tried to sit up, leaning against the stone wall of the cell.

“You’re always too damn trusting.” Bakugo said as he let his head rest against Kirishima’s shoulder. “It’s my fault you were hurt. It’s my fault that you left and got caught. All of this is my fault.” Bakugo said. Kirishima could hear the anger in his voice, knowing that he was angry at himself for letting all of this happen. “None of this would have happened if it wasn’t for me. You were right. I’m sorry.” Bakugo said as his voice started to get shaky, Kirishima could tell he was on the verge of tears.

“It’s okay, Katsuki. I don’t blame you for anything that happened. I know you were just trying to protect me. You were just trying to do what you thought was right.” Kirishima said, his words opening the floodgates as he felt Bakugo’s tears land on his shoulder.

“So damn trusting and forgiving, even to people who don’t deserve it.” Bakugo said through the tears as Kirishima leaned his head against Bakugo’s.

“You deserve it, Katsuki. After everything that happened, you deserve it.” Kirishima said as he lightly kissed his head, letting Bakugo cry against him as his sobs echoed throughout the dungeon.

Chapter Text

After Enji addressed the kingdom, things started to become hectic at the castle. It had been a few days since he made the announcement to the people of the kingdom that Todoroki was no longer the heir to the throne. Small upsets began to happen in the kingdom because of the announcement so he had more paperwork to deal with than usual, and Dabi just kept bringing him more and more of it.

“It seems that His Highness was very popular with the people of the kingdom, so a lot of them are in an uproar over your recent announcement.” Dabi said as he sat in one of the chairs in front of Enji’s desk as he went through the stacks of papers that were starting to pile up on his desk.

“It seems that that is true. He was supposed to be the one to take my place, so of course he was very popular with the people.” Enji said as he skimmed through the papers on his desk, starting to get tired from signing his name on so many documents.

“It truly is a shame that he won’t be the one to take the throne, but Prince Natsuo does seem to be the next best option.” Dabi said as he read through the papers in his hands.

“Of course. I wouldn’t have chosen him if he wasn’t.” Enji said as he signed away at the papers.

“You’re right, Your Majesty.” Dabi said as he read through the last of the documents Enji had to sign.

“You still haven’t found them yet?” Enji asked as he looked up from the papers to Dabi.

“No, not yet. But I do have an idea where they might be. One of the scouting units I sent out around the kingdom said they spotted a shifter leaving the kingdom, heading for the old dragon territory. Descriptions of the shifter matched the descriptions we have about Bakugo’s dragon. I was going to head out with the unit tomorrow to check out the location of the sighting.” Dabi said as he set down the last of the paperwork on Enji’s desk.

“That’s good. We finally might be getting somewhere.” Enji said as he took the last few pieces of paper Dabi set down, signing them. “Let me know when you confirm their whereabouts. We’ll send an army out to collect them. We need to put Shoto on trial before the kingdom grows even more restless.” Enji said as he signed the last document, leaning back in his chair, exhausted after a long day of filling out paperwork.

“I understand, Your Majesty. I’ll send word if we find them tomorrow.” Dabi said as he gathered up the stack of papers from Enji’s desk.

“I think I’m going to retire to my chambers for the night. It’s been a long last couple of days. Report your findings to me tomorrow. You’re dismissed.” Enji said as he let out a yawn, leaning back in his chair.

“Yes, Your Majesty. I’ll come find you tomorrow. Good night.” Dabi said as he stood up with the papers in hand, bowing to Enji before he left the room, shutting the door behind him as he began walking down the hall.

“Did he sign them? He’s not that stupid is he, to sign what he hasn’t read? ” Twice asked as he appeared behind Dabi as he made his way to his study. Dabi smiled as he grabbed three pieces of paper from the top of the stack.

“Yep. Everything is all good to go. Tomorrow we will start the trial of our beloved King.” Dabi said as he placed the papers back on top of the pile. “All we need are the witnesses and after the trial, I’ll be King.” Dabi said as he stopped in front of the door to his study, turing to face Twice. “Everything is going according to plan. Prince Natsuo is out of the kingdom, Princess Fuyumi is going to be leaving tomorrow morning to head for the Yamada Kingdom. No one can stop us tomorrow. Go get ready for tomorrow.” Dabi said with a wicked smile.

“Yes, Sir. How unfortunate, I really liked his way of thinking .” Twice said as he bowed to Dabi, leaving as Dabi entered his room. Dabi set the stack of papers down on his desk, taking the three top papers from the pile. He folded up the papers, placing them in a drawer on his desk.

“Sleep tight Your Majesty, you’re going to have a long day ahead of you tomorrow.” Dabi said to himself as he sat down in his chair, leaning back as a smile grew across his face.

The next morning

Enji was seated in his in his study, going over some papers when he heard a knock at the door.

“Come in.” Enji replied as he set down the papers he was going over as he looked at the door. When the door opened he was greeted by Dabi, Shigaraki and Twice, we had about five guards with them as well.

“Good morning, Your Majesty. Did you sleep well?” Dabi asked as he made his way over to Enji’s desk where he was sitting.

“What is the meaning of this Dabi?” Enji asked as he stood up as the guards surrounded him.

“Meaning? I’m just doing what is right for the kingdom and taking my rightful place as the heir.” Dabi explained. Enji was taken aback by what Dabi said.

“What are you talking about? We’ve been over this. You can’t become heir to the throne. No bastard child can succeed the throne.” Enji said as he laughed off Dabi’s statement.

“See, that was the case; until last night that is. You signed a document that repealed that law. So now I can take the throne from you.” Dabi said with a smirk as the guards took a step closer to Enji.

“What are you talking about. I didn’t sign any paper.” Enji declared.

“Oh, but you did. You were so tired from signing all those papers and reports for the last few days that you didn’t even notice it when I handed you the paper to sign.” Dabi said with a smile on his face as he walked around the room.

“How dare you! Going against your father and King! I can do the same thing to you that I did to Shoto. I’ll have you locked away for treason! Guards, take him to the dungeon!” Enji ordered to the guards around him. The guards stood their ground, unmoving. “What are you just standing around for, arrest him! That’s an order!” Enji yelled to the guards.

“See, they won’t listen to you. You’re not in charge anymore; I am. And it’s all thanks to you for that.” Dabi said as he held up a piece of paper with Enji’s signature on it. “You signed over the right to the throne from Natsuo to me. And the change in power is effective immediately, thanks to your signed confession. As of now, you are under arrest for abuse of power and fabricating lies to the people of this kingdom regarding the dragon shifters.” Dabi said as he showed the paper that was hidden behind the first one.

“What are you talking about? Abuse of power? What proof do you have?” Enji asked with confidence, knowing he didn’t have any proof.

“Proof? I have two witnesses in my possession that prove your unjust attack of the Bakugo kingdom located in the dragon territory and the death of Bakugo Mitsuki and Bakugo Masaru and several others along with the attempted murder and the unmerited imprisonment and torture of their son Bakugo Katsuki and his dragon. You are also under arrest for unlawful discrimination against the dragon shifter race who have done nothing but seek equality between humans and their kind. You claim that the dragon shifters believe that they are the superior race when in fact they have done nothing against the humans and your kingdom. You have practically slaughtered their entire race and falsely imprisoned most of them. You are also suspected of subjugating the shifters you have imprisoned to slave labor, forcing them to do work for the kingdom.” Dabi declared as he stopped walking around the room, turning to face Enji with a smile as he folded up the two pieces of paper, placing them back in his cloak.

“This is atrocious! How dare you go against me! You won’t be able to get away with this. No one will believe you.” Enji said as he slammed his fist on his desk in anger.

“Oh, but they’ll believe you. I have a signed confession of you admitting to all the crimes you’ve committed since you’ve been King. Once the people of the kingdom see all the lies you’ve told them presented right before them, no one will want you as King after that. Which is why I will be the best option for this kingdom. Not Shoto, Not Natsuo, not Fuyumi, and definitely not you.” Dabi replied as his smile faded, a serious look growing on his face. “Guards, arrest him. Prepare him for trial.” Dabi ordered as they guards grabbed Enji, restraining him.

“Release me at once! I am your King!” Enji shouted as he tried to fight off the guards.

“Not anymore father. ” Dabi remarked with a laugh as Enji was lead out of the room by the guards. Dabi, Twice and Shigaraki all shared a look before leaving the room as well, following behind Enji and the guards.

Shortly after in the dungeon of the Todoroki Castle

“How long do they plan to keep us locked up?” Midoriya asked as he shifted the cuffs around his wrists, seeing the red marks on his skin from his struggling.

“Knowing Dabi, he’ll keep us locked up until he needs us. Then after we are no longer useful to him, he’ll get rid of us. If he keeps us around after getting what he wants from us, we’ll be a liability to him. He won’t take that chance.” Todoroki said as he sat down on the floor, leaning his back against the stone wall of the cell.

“So what? We’re just supposed to sit here and wait for him to kill us? I never thought the great Prince Todoroki Shoto would just lie back and accept his fate.” Bakugo said as he stood up, walking around the cell.

“What else can we do? No one else knows we’re here except Dabi and his lackeys. Even if we somehow managed to get out of this, he probably has everyone in the castle working for him by now. No one will listen to me if we got out.” Todoroki replied, clearly already accepting his fate.

“You’re going to give up just because of that?! Wasn’t all of this your plan to begin with? You had to have a back up plan should something like this happen.” Bakugo stated as he started to get irritated, looking towards Todoroki who looked away from his gaze. “Are you kidding me?! You didn’t ever consider that something like this was going to be a possibility?!” Bakugo asked, his anger taking him over as he made his way over to Todoroki. Midoriya quickly stood up, putting himself between Bakugo and Todoroki.

“No matter how much he thought out his plan, there are still things that no one can predict.” Midoriya said, trying to keep Bakugo some distance away from Todoroki.

“Oh stop with the bullshit excuses right now. Don’t defend him, he’s the reason we’re all in this predicament anyway! Have you forgotten that he set you up just to use you is his plan?” Bakugo asked as he took a step closer to Todoroki, Midoriya trying to hold Bakugo back.

“I haven’t forgotten. Sure, I was upset at first but he did it for a good reason.” Midoriya tried to argue, defending Todoroki’s actions.

“Bullshit! He did it for a good reason, my ass. He was so overconfident that his plan wouldn’t fail and look what happened, it failed.” Bakugo spat out, trying to get passed Midoriya.

“Like you’re one to talk! My plan, what about yours? Didn’t it also blow up in your face as well? Weren’t you so gung-ho about killing my dad that you didn’t even notice I was using you until it was too late?” Todoroki asked as he stood up, getting in Bakugo’s face. “Look what happened to Kirishima all because you thought you were so high and mighty. Get off your fucking high horse and face the facts!” Todoroki said as he shoved Bakugo with his shoulder.

“Watch your fucking mouth half-n-half before I fucking kill you!” Bakugo threatened as he tried to kick Todoroki.

“Stop fighting! It’s not going to get us anywhere if you two keep trying to jump down each other’s throats!” Kirishima shouted, getting everyone’s attention as he adjusted how he was sitting, wincing in pain as he did so. “Now, can you two stop fighting long enough so we can at least try to come up with a plan?” Kirishima asked, Midoriya nodding in agreement.

“Kirishima’s right,” Midoriya started. “If we have any chance of getting out of here, we need to work on a solution together.” Midoriya fishined. Bakugo scoffed to himself as he made his way back over to Kirishima. Before anyone else could say anything, Dabi, Twice, Shigaraki and Toga showed up, stopping in front of their cell.

“Now, I know you aren’t trying to come up with a way to stop me. You don’t stand a chance against me. I know Prince Shoto understands that.” Dabi said as he looked to Todoroki who took a step back, kind of standing in front of Midoriya. Bakugo growled as he stood in front of Kirishima, like he was ready to attack anyone who came close to him. Kirishima shifted as well, sitting up straight as Midoriya placed his hands on Todoroki’s shoulder.

“What do you want?” Todoroki asked, his body tensing as Shigaraki unlocked the door to the cell.

“I came to collect the dragon master and his dragon. I need them as witnesses in the case against His Majesty.” Dabi said as Twice and Toga entered the cell, making their way over to Bakugo and Kirishima.

“Stay the fuck away from us.” Bakugo said as he stood his ground, protecting Kirishima.

“Someone’s feisty today.” Toga said as she licked her lips, slowly approaching Bakugo as Twice followed behind her. Bakugo went to go kick her but she dodged it. Before Bakugo could try again, she kicked him in the back of the leg, making him fall to the ground. After he fell, she grabbed him by his arm, forcing him up. Bakugo tried to put up a fight but two of Twice’s clones appeared, grabbing a hold of him as well.

“Let go of me you bastards!” Bakugo shouted as Twice and another one of his clones released Kirishima from all his restraints except for the enchanted cuffs that kept his arms restrained behind his back.

“Kirishima! Bakugo!” Midoriya shouted as he tried to take a step closer to them, one of Twice’s clones stopping him in his tracks when it appeared maybe a couple feet in front of him.

“I’m so sorry I took away your chance to bring your father to justice for everything that he’s done. If only you were a little faster and a little smarter, maybe you could have beat me to it. Unfortunately, once this trial is over, I’ll have no use for you anymore. So if there’s anything you want to say, I suggest you say it now. You won’t have the chance to say it once sundown rolls around. Enjoy the last few hours you will all have together .” Dabi said as Shigaraki closed and locked the door to the cell.

“You can’t be serious!” Todoroki shouted as he made his way over to the iron bars of the cell, watching as Dabi and everyone else left.

“Oh but I am little brother. It was nice knowing you. You would have made a good king too. But I’ll make a great King.” Dabi said with a wave of his hand as they all made their way down the hall, Bakugo trying to fight the hold they had on him as they left the dungeon. Midoriya and Todoroki we’re left in shock as they watched them leave. Was this really the end of the road for them? Was this going to be where their story ends? They needed to find a way to get out and fast, before it was too late.

Chapter Text

“You rat! You had them the entire time!” Enji shouted at Dabi as he arrived with Bakugo and Kirishima in tow as the guards held Enji back.

“Why are you so shocked, you’re supposed to be the Great King Todoroki Enji after all.” Dabi said as he made his way over to Enji. “Is the court ready for the trial?” Dabi asked as he turned to the guards that were waiting outside the doors to the courtroom.

“Yes, Sir. We’re ready for the trial to begin. Everyone is ready.” One of the guards said as he saluted him.

“Good, let the trial begin.” Dabi said as Enji was led through the doors, into the courtroom. “Did you get his ring?” Dabi asked Shigaraki. Shigaraki nodded, handing Dabi the enchanted ring that Enji always wore which prevented him from being affected by external magic.

“The runes are also prepared. Twice also has his clones in position. This trial should go off without a hitch.” Shigaraki said as he scratched at his neck.

“What runes?” Kirishima asked, overhearing their conversation. Dabi smiled as he turned around to face Bakugo and Kirishima.

“Runes of truth. The courtroom is surrounded by them. Once we enter the courtroom, everyone is affected by the runes to tell the truth when asked a question. The laws of the court also state that you can’t talk out of turn without being asked to speak first. That’s what the runes are there for, to make sure we only get what we need from you.” Dabi said as he put Enji’s ring on his finger. “This ring is enchanted so that the wearer isn’t affected by external magic, so the runes won’t have any affect on me.” Dabi said as he made his way over to the doors of the courtroom.

“You bastard!” Bakugo shouted, trying to break the hold Twice’s clones had on him.

“Keep a hold on them until I call them as witnesses.” Dabi said as he entered the courtroom, leaving Bakugo and Kirishima outside of the room with Twice, Toga and Shigaraki.

When Dabi entered the room, he made his way over to the podium in the middle of the room. The podium was surrounded by a wall that held roughly twenty five seats behind it. Everyone in the seats were either court officials, nobleman or representatives of the people of the kingdom. The judge and his four chancellors were seated in front of the podium. The ten noblemen were on the row to the left of the podium and the ten representatives of the people of the kingdom were seated to the right of it. Enji was standing by the podium, the two guards who escorted him in were standing at attention behind him. Dabi put on a serious face as he approached the podium.

“Today we are gathered here for the trial of His Majesty, King Todoroki Enji. It has been brought to our attention that evidence has been found linking His Majesty to abuse of power, enslavement of the dragon shifter race, unjust killing of the Dragon Kingdom’s Dragon Master’s; Her Majesty, Queen Bakugo Mitsuki and her husband His Highness, Prince Bakugo Masaru. He is also being tried for the attempted murder of the Her Majesty’s son, heir to the Dragon Kingdom, Prince Bakugo Katsuki and his loyal dragon servant, Kirishima Eijirou. He is also being tried for imprisoning them and using them against their will as a go between for the Todoroki Kingdom and the Dragon Kingdom. He has also been found of lying about the cause of the war that almost started between the Todoroki Kingdom and the Dragon Kingdom two years ago.” The judge said as he set down the paper of charges that he was given. “Is that all of the charges, His Majesty’s Royal Advisor, Dabi?” The judge asked as he turned his attention to Dabi.

“Yes, Your Honor. That is all.” Dabi replied as he pulled out the papers he brought with him, setting them down on the podium.

“You may present the evidence that you have on His Majesty to the court. You have the floor.” The judge said as he motioned to Dabi with his hand.

“Thank you, Your Honor. As you are aware I am His Majesty’s Royal Advisor. I have been working with him for the past twelve years, guiding his judgement as ruler of the kingdom. His abuse of power starts about ten years ago when he was trying to work on agreements between our kingdom and the dragon kingdom. As you are aware, the scales, horns, teeth and blood of dragons is a very rare and useful commodity when it comes to forging weapons and making specific potions. So His Majesty was trying to make an agreement with the Queen of the Dragon Masters, Her Majesty, Queen Bakugo Mitsuki to work out a trade deal with Her Majesty about these dragon items in exchange for giving the dragon shifters equal rights within the Todoroki Kingdom. For years within our kingdom dragon shifters have been seen as our enemies, seeing as they have natural abilities gifted to them. These abilities are superior strength, the ability to wield fire without magic and the ability to transform into a full fledged dragon. Because of these abilities, humans have been afraid of shifters and the possibility of an uprising from them.” Dabi said as he looked over his papers, reading off of them as he addressed the court.

“The entirety of the dragon shifter race has maybe a hundred thousand shifters total, making them a minority compared to the millions of humans around them. Because of this large gap, dragon shifters and the dragon masters have been trying to pass laws for the dragons so they can be treated equally with their human counterparts. For years they have been hunted and killed for their scales, horns, teeth and blood to make weapons and potions. Her Majesty, Queen Bakugo Mitsuki was also trying to prevent the number of shifters that were being hunted, so when His Majesty, King Todoroki Enji asked her to trade the dragon items with him, she didn’t approve of the trade deal, even if it was for the right for the shifters to be treated as equals within our kingdom. When she denied His Majesty, His Majesty became furious. I tried to advise His Majesty to just forget about the dragon shifters but His Majesty didn’t listen to me, going behind my back to try and get his hands on these dragon items. Over the years as His Majesty tried to work out a deal with Her Majesty, Queen Bakugo Mitsuki all the while he was hunting down dragon shifters for their scales, horns, teeth and blood which resulted as a total loss of fifty thousand dragon shifters, drastically cutting their numbers in half. About five years ago, His Majesty had gained knowledge that a human can bond with a shifter if the right conditions were fulfilled. That was when His Majesty started to abduct shifters to try and force a bond between His Majesty and the shifters. Several shifters were subjected to heinous amounts of torture to try and force a bond so His Majesty could harvest the shifters for their scales, horns, teeth and blood.” Dabi explained to the court, earning a few murmurs from the court as he did so. The judge hushed the room as he spoke.

“You said that His Majesty was doing all of this without your knowledge?” The Judge asked as he waited for Dabi’s response.

“That is correct Your Honor. All of this was happening without my knowledge. As I said, before all of this happened, I had tried to advise His Majesty against this, telling him to leave the dragon shifters alone and to just try to work with the shifters and Her Majesty, Queen Bakugo Mitsuki. Unfortunately all of this lead to the events of what happened two years ago in the dragon kingdom. His Majesty was getting infuriated with the lack of deals and agreements that he tried to make with Her Majesty, seeing as any of the deals he tried to offer lead to cruel and unjust ones against the shifters. This upset led to Her Majesty, Queen Bakugo Mitsuki to cut off relations between the Dragon Kingdom and the Todoroki Kingdom. Around this time, His Majesty was beginning to spread propaganda about the dragon masters and the dragon shifters, stating that they believe themselves to be the superior race and were on the brink of a war between the humans and shifters because of this. I had tried to advise His Majesty against starting a war between our kingdom and the kingdom of the dragons, knowing that because the shifters wielded such abilities it wasn’t going to end well if one started. Unfortunately His Majesty didn’t listen to my warning, which lead to the attack of the Bakugo Castle which resulted in the murder of Her Majesty, Queen Bakugo Mitsuki, Her Majesty’s husband, His Highness, Prince Bakugo Masaru and the slaughter of twenty-five thousand dragon shifters, cutting the total number of shifters in half once more.” Dabi said as he finished reading one page, putting it to the back of the pile.

“So His Majesty went against your advice and attacked the dragon kingdom on his own accord, for the reasons that you have just stated?” The judge asked as Dabi nodded, speaking up once again.

“Yes, Your Honor. His Majesty unjustly and willingly attacked a race that wanted nothing more than to be seen as equals all because of his greed and hatred towards the shifters. His Majesty wanted nothing more than to harvest the dragons of their scales, teeth, horns and blood so he could use them for profit with forging weapons and making potions.” Dabi answered, looking at the judge.

“Is there anyone that can corroborate your story?” The judge asked as he leaned back in his chair.

“Yes, Your Honor. I have brought His Highness, Prince Bakugo Katsuki, heir to the dragon masters and his dragon servant, Kirishima Eijirou as witnesses to His Majesty’s crimes. Unfortunately they have been restrained for His Majesty’s safety seeing as they still hold hostility to His Majesty for the murder of Prince Bakugo Katsuki’s parents, King and Queen of the Dragon Kingdom as well as the attempted murder of His Highness himself and his dragon servant.” Dabi answered. The judge sat up as he nodded to Dabi.

“Understandable, please have the guards bring in His Highness, Prince Bakugo Katsuki, heir to the dragon masters and his dragon servant Kirishima Eijirou.” The judge ordered as the two guards by the door opened it, Bakugo and Kirishima being escorted by two guards each into the courtroom. The courtroom erupted into murmurs as they watched Bakugo and Kirishima get led to the other side of the podium.

“Are you His Highness, Prince Bakugo Katsuki, heir to the dragon masters?” The judge asked.

“Yes.” Bakugo growled out as he looked to Dabi and Enji with contempt as the courtroom erupted into hushed murmurs at the presence of a dragon master.

“And are you His Highness’ dragon servant, Kirishima Eijirou?” The judge asked Kirishima.

“Yes, You Honor.” Kirishima answered as he looked to Bakugo with worry and concern on his face.

“ His Highness, Prince Bakugo Katsuki. Is it true that His Majesty, King Todoroki Enji, attacked your kingdom and murdered your parents, Queen Bakugo Mitsuki and Prince Bakugo Masaru?” The judge asked as he looked to Bakugo.

“Yes, he murdered my parents.” Bakugo answered, wishing he could say that Dabi was using them for his own plan. Unfortunately the runes prevented him from speaking up and saying so. He snarled as he tried to fight the hold the guards had on him. The nobles and representatives in the courtroom began talking amongst themselves, shocked by Bakugo’s answer. The judge hushed the courtroom.

“It it also true that His Majesty also tried to take your life, as well and your dragon servant’s life?” The judge asked as he looked at the papers before him.

“Yes. He tried to kill us as well.” Bakugo answered, hating the fact that he can only talk when asked because of the runes surrounding the courtroom. The people in the courtroom began speaking amongst each other again before the judge silenced the room again.

“Is it also true that His Majesty held you against your will after trying to kill you and your dragon for the sole purpose of using you as mediaries between the Todoroki Kingdom and Dragon Kingdom?” The judge asked as he looked up from his paper to Bakugo.

“Yes.” Bakugo answered with a growl as he shot another glare at Dabi and Enji. He was cursing Dabi out in his head, wanting nothing more than to expose him for the bastard he was.

“I don’t believe it.” One of the nobles said to the one sitting next to him over the murmurs of the room.

“His Majesty’s Royal Advisor, is there anything else you wish to bring before the court? The judge asked, setting his papers down.

“Yes, Your Honor. It is regarding the future of the kingdom if His Majesty is found guilty of his crimes.” Dabi said as he nodded his head, the judge nodding back in acknowledgement.

“You may continue.” The judge replied.

“Thank you, Your Honor. I have something that I wish to bring to the court’s attention. Princess Fuyumi, Prince Natsuo and Prince Shoto aren’t His Majesty’s only children.” Dabi announced as a roar erupted throughout the courtroom. Enji turned to Dabi with a wicked look on his face. “His Majesty had a child with a tavern wench of one of the taverns within the kingdom before he was to marry Her Highness, Princess Todoroki Rei. That women that His Majesty had conceived a child with was my mother, Aoine Honoushi.” The courtroom erupted into whispers and shocked expressions once again. The judge raised his hand, quieting the courtroom as Dabi continued to speak. “When I was born, my mother contacted His Majesty to inform him that he had a child. His Majesty however refused to take me in and raise me as an heir to the throne, seeing as I was a bastard child and not born of full royal blood like my siblings. However, His Majesty came up with a compromise with my mother to take me in when I turned eighteen to work by His Majesty’s side in the castle as His Majesty’s Royal Advisor. I have the contract that His Majesty and my mother signed, allowing me to work as His Majesty’s royal advisor when I became of age.” Dabi said as he grabbed a paper from the pile, holding it out for a guard to take.

“Let me see that contract.” The judge ordered as a guard made his way over to Dabi, taking the paper. The judge took the paper from the guard reading over it. “Is this true, Your Majesty?” The judge asked as he read the paper.

“Yes it is, Your Honor.” Enji answered as anger built up inside him from not being able to deny the fact that Dabi was his oldest son. He wanted nothing more than to shout out how much of a farce this was, taken aback by the fact the court was playing right into Dabi’s hands.

“You made this contract with Ms. Aoine Honoushi?” The judge asked, comparing Enji’s signature to make sure it was the same and not a forgery.

“Yes I did, Your Honor.” Enji reluctantly confirmed as the courtroom erupted into shocked whispers, talking amongst themselves from this new development. The judge hushed the room as he gestured to Dabi with his hand.

“You may continue, Dabi.” The judge stated as he set the document down.

“Seeing as I was the first born in the royal bloodline, I had just as much right to inherit the throne as my siblings Princess Fuyumi, Prince Natsuo and Prince Shoto did. Yet, seeing as I wasn’t a child of full royal blood like my siblings, I couldn’t inherit the throne because of the law that states only a child of full royal blood can take the throne. When it was revealed that His Highness, Prince Todoroki Shoto had committed a crime against his King and his kingdom, I tried to suggest to His Majesty to repeal the law so I could take the throne from him. Seeing as His Majesty raised Prince Shoto to be his perfect heir and seeing as His Majesty stated that he didn’t believe Princess Fuyumi and Prince Natsuo were the right ones to inherit the throne from him, I tried to get him to repeal the law. Unfortunately His Majesty didn’t see my potential to be his heir, even though I worked by His Majesty’s side for twelve years, helping His Majesty run the kingdom. So His Majesty reluctantly decided to make His Highness, Prince Todoroki Natsuo his heir even though His Majesty knew Prince Natsuo wasn’t fit to take the throne from him.” Dabi finished, addressing the courtroom.

“Is this true, Your Majesty?” The judge asked as he turned his attention to Enji. Enji was quiet for a moment before he spoke up.

“Yes, Your Honor.” Enji replied as he looked at Dabi from the corner of his eyes, seeing the small smile on his face before it disappeared again when the judge turned back to him.

“I think we have heard enough and have been shown enough evidence against His Majesty. I think it’s time for us to deliberate the outcome of today’s proceedings. Guards, escort His Majesty, His Majesty’s Royal Advisor, His Highness and His Highness’s dragon servant out of the room.” The judge ordered as he gathered the papers he had before him. Dabi and Enji bowed before the judge before they were escorted out. Kirishima and Bakugo were forced to bow before they were escorted out of the room as well. Once they were out of the courtroom and the guards left, Twice, Shigaraki and Toga appeared. Twice and three of his clones grabbed Bakugo and Kirishima as Toga and Shigaraki grabbed a hold of Enji.

“That’s playing fucking dirty you bastard! Only getting half the truth like that!” Bakugo said as he tried to fight back against the hold Twice’s clones had on him.

“There is no way the court will let you get your way.” Enji declared as he stood tall, still believing things would work out in his favor.

“You hear that, that’s the sound of me not giving a fuck about what you think?” Dabi said as he turned his attention to Twice. “Twice, the rest of this is up to you.” Dabi said as Twice nodded his head.

“Let’s start the deliberation, given all the evidence and testimonies that have been put before us.” The judge began as he addressed the room. “How do you feel about the evidence given regarding the injustices that have been put upon the dragon shifters by His Majesty all based on motives of greed to harvest the dragon shifters for their scales, horns, teeth and blood for the forging of weapons and the making of potions?” The judge said as he turned his attention to the ten nobles who were seated to his right. One of the nobles raised his hand. “Number Seven, you may speak.” The judge said as he turned his attention to the man who was actually one of Twice’s clones disguised as one of the nobles of the court.

“His Majesty had caused an almost complete annihilation of the entire dragon shifter population all because of greed so he could harvest them for their scales, horns, teeth and blood. His Majesty had no just cause to go about things the way His Majesty did. A King should work with his neighboring kingdoms to establish a close bond with them and work together for the betterment of the people. A King should only be allowed to declare war with another kingdom if we have been attacked first by a foreign party like our law states. His Majesty didn’t have any legal reason to go against the Dragon Kingdom, instead choosing to be overcome by greed and attack them for selfish reasons. A King motivated by greed and power is not a true King that this kingdom needs.” Twice’s clone finished. Another noblemen raised his hand.

“Number Two, you may speak.” The judge answered as he turned his attention to the second noblemen.

“I agree with what Seven said. A King should be one who works for his people and his kingdom. A King needs to be one who is only motivated by what is right and what is moral, not by selfish needs and desires.” The nobleman finished, the rest of the noblemen nodding in agreement with what was said.

“What do you have to say about the charge of abuse of power?” The judge asked as he turned to the ten people who were representatives of the people of the kingdom. One of the representatives raised their hand.

“Number Fourteen, you have the floor.” The judge said as he turned his attention to the man.

“I also agree. His Majesty almost started a war between us and the dragon shifters because of his greed. What His Majesty did to the shifters was unwarranted and contemptible to say the least. What if a war had actually broken out because of His Majesty’s motives? So much more would have been lost along with the loss of seventy-five thousand shifters.” The representative finished, the rest of the representatives agreeing with him as well.

“Alright, I see we are all in agreeance with the charge of abuse of power. Now, let’s talk about the charge of two counts of first-degree murder and the attempted murder of His Highness, Prince Bakugo Katsuki and his dragon servant, Kirishima Eijirou along with the unjust killing of roughly seventy-five thousand dragon shifters.” The judge said as he looked at the next paper in front of him. “Representatives, you have the floor.” The judge said as he directed his attention to the hand of one of the representatives. “Number Nineteen.” The judge said, the representative who was another one of Twice’s clones disguised nodded, putting his hand down.

“I believe that His Majesty is guilty when it comes to those charges, Your Honor. The heir of the dragon masters was a witness and a victim to this. His testimony proved that His Majesty was guilty in the murder of his parents and his attempted murder as well. Not only did he attempt to kill His Highness Prince Bakugo Katsuki and his dragon servant but he also imprisoned them, forcing them to be the mediaries between our kingdom and the Dragon Kingdom, blatantly using him for his own selfish desires. I think that we can all agree that His Majesty is guilty of two counts of first-degree murder and two charges of attempted first-degree murder along with the slaughter of all of those dragons shifters.” Twice’s clone finished, everyone in the room nodding in agreement with what he said.

“Anyone else have anything to add before we move onto the next issue at hand?” The judge asked as he looked around the room, everyone shaking their head’s ‘no’. “Alright then. Now, onto the real issue at hand. The future of this kingdom. His Majesty’s royal advisor Dabi saying that he is His Majesty’s first born child and the contract that he brought before us which proved his declaration to be true. He had brought to our attention that he is in fact the first in line for those who are eligible to take the throne from His Majesty. His Majesty had kept this a secret seeing as His Majesty’s royal advisor was a bastard child, one not born of full royal blood.” The judge addressed to the room. One of the noblemen raised his hand again.

“Number Seven, you may speak.” The judge said as he turned his attention back to the right of the room.

“I believe that he should be given the title of heir to the throne and take over in His Majesty’s place. As His Majesty’s royal advisor stated himself, he has been practically helping His Majesty run this kingdom for twelve years. Don’t get me wrong, I think that we can all agree that His Highness Prince Todoroki Shoto should have been the one to take over the throne but seeing as His Majesty raised His Highness to be just like His Majesty, I don’t believe that he would be the best option anymore. After all His Highness, Prince Todoroki Shoto tried to forcefully take the throne from His Majesty. His Highness had also gone against the kingdom with trying to lead an uprising with the dragon shifters which would have really started a war. Unfortunately, I do agree with His Majesty on one thing, and that is the fact that neither Her Highness, Princess Todoroki Fuyumi and His Highness, Prince Todoroki Natsuo aren’t the best option for the throne either. To me, neither of them have the property qualities needed in a King or Queen to take the throne from His Majesty. Princess Fuyumi has the quality of someone who has always been there for their people, seeing as Her Highness does a lot of work with the children of the kingdom and is always helpful to those in need. But Her Highness also lacks a leadership quality needed when you are in charge of a kingdom. Prince Natsuo on the other hand has the leadership quality needed, but His Highness also lacks in knowing what to do with his power. His Highness doesn’t trust his judgement when it comes to making the tough decisions one needs to make when King. I believe His Majesty’s royal advisor has these qualities seeing as he has worked by His Majesty’s side for twelve years, advising His Majesty on the right decisions to make. After all His Majesty’s royal advisor does have the blood of a royal running through him and I believe we all saw that in action with how he presented himself today.” Twice’s clone finished, a hush falling over the courtroom. One of the representatives raised their hand, the judge nodding to them.

“Number Thirteen.” The judge said as they began to speak.

“I can’t deny that what Seven said is true, but appointing His Majesty’s royal advisor as the next King will require the repeal of the law that states only a child born of full royal blood can be eligible for the throne. We don’t know how the people of the kingdom will react to this sudden change of power and the sudden knowledge that His Majesty had a bastard child. We could have a riot on our hands if we did that.” The representative declared to the room, earning a few nods of agreement from the room. Another representative raised their hand.

“Number Nineteen.” The judge said, motioning to Twice’s clone with a wave of his hand.

“Thirteen is right, it would be a sudden change. Especially considering everything that happened within the kingdom in the last few days with Prince Shoto losing the title of heir and Prince Natsuo bring the one to inherit it. But you are also forgetting that His Majesty’s royal advisor is already known to the people of the kingdom and has been for years. They have seen him whenever His Majesty addressed the kingdom or when he went into town for something or another. There’s no doubt in denying it will be a shock to the kingdom but I believe that if we appoint His Majesty’s royal advisor as the next King, we will be making the right decision for the people of our kingdom and all the neighboring kingdom’s as well. I believe that if we declared His Majesty’s royal advisor as the next King, he will become the People’s King. I believe that he demonstrated all the qualities we deem fit for a King. I believe His Majesty’s royal advisor will be the best option for the kingdom given the circumstances.” Twice’s clone finished as the room became quiet once again. After a few moments, one of the noblemen raised his hand.

“Number Three.” The judge said, turning his attention to the nobleman.

“I agree with Nineteen. His Majesty’s royal advisor is the best option we have for the kingdom. There will be an adjustment period for certain, but if we go about this the right way, everything will work out how it should in the end. I vote for repealing the law and making His Majesty’s royal advisor the new King. Just because he is not of full royal blood shouldn’t make him any less eligible for the throne like his siblings.” The nobleman stated, sure of himself and his decision. A good majority of the room nodded in agreement with him one he finished his closing statement.

“Does anyone else have anything to add before we come to a vote on all the charges against His Majesty?” The judge asked as he looked around the room. Everyone shook their heads, happy with their decisions.

“Alright then, on the charge of abuse of power or malfeasance in office, raise your hand if you find His Majesty guilty.” The judge stated as everyone raised their hands. “It’s unanimous.” The judge said as he wrote something down on a piece of paper. “On the two charges of first-degree murder and two charges of attempted first-degree murder and the slaughter of three-forths of the dragon shifter population, raise your hand if you find His Majesty guilty of this charge.” The judge said as he looked around the room, watching everyone hands fly up into the air without a moment’s hesitation. “Alright, I see that we all unanimously agree once again.” The judge said as he wrote something else down on the piece of paper as well. “Now, raise your hand if you believe we should remove the law that declares only a child of full royal blood should take the throne and agree with making His Majesty’s royal advisor the new King.” The judge finished as he looked around the room. Slowly but surely everyone in the room raised their hands as the judge nodded writing one last thing down on his paper.

“Alright. I believe we have all finished deliberating and are ready to announce our decision.” The judge said as everyone in the room nodded. “Bring in His Majesty, His Majesty’s Royal Advisor, His Highness, Prince Bakugo Katsuki and his dragon servant, Kirishima Eijirou. We are ready to announce our verdict.” The judge ordered the guards as they opened the door to the courtroom, escorting everyone back in. They all stood behind the podium, awaiting their verdict.

“Regarding the charge of abuse of power or malfeasance in office, we have found His Majesty guilty.” The judge declared, Enji’s expression turned to one of shock as the judge announced his verdict. Bakugo and Kirishima didn’t know how to feel, finding the whole thing bittersweet with how things were done. “Regarding the two charges of first-degree murder and two charges of attempted first-degree murder, along with the slaughter of roughly seventy-five thousand dragon shifters, we find His Majesty guilty.” The judge announced, Enji’s face went completely pale from what he just heard. Even Bakugo and Kirishima were in a state of disbelief, not sure if what they were hearing and seeing was actually happening. “Regarding the future of this kingdom now that His Majesty has been convicted of his crimes, we have unanimously agreed to repeal the law that states only a child of full royal blood can take the throne and declare that His Majesty’s Royal Servant, His Majesty’s first born son, Prince Todoroki Dabi the new heir and King of the Todoroki Kingdom. Prince Dabi’s coronation will be held two days from now, before the kingdom.” The judge announced. Enji, Bakugo and Kirishima were all frozen from the shock of the court’s ruling. Dabi let a small smile grow across his face before he bowed to the judge.

“Thank you, Your Honor. I will honor your decision with proving to you that I can and will be the right King that this kingdom needs.” Dabi said as he stood up straight, the smile gone from his face.

“As for the sentence of His Majesty, King Todoroki Enji, we sentence him to death for the severity of his crimes, deeming that the best punishment for his crimes.” The judge declared as Enji’s jaw dropped, Bakugo, Kirishima and Dabi all turning to see the look on his face. Dabi put on his best apologetic look before speaking.

“Your Honor, if I may? His Majesty has done truly terrible things and I believe that just sentencing him to death won’t truly let him understand the severity of his crimes. I suggest that the punishment fit the crime. Wouldn’t it be a more suitable punishment if we inflict on His Majesty what he has done to his victims? To let His Majesty understand just how unjust and immoral His Majesty’s crimes were? To go through all the torture and torment His Majesty’s victims were subjected to? I believe in an eye for and eye and I believe this is a better way to achieve that. Wouldn’t you all agree as well?” Dabi offered to the courtroom as Enji turned his head to look at Dabi, completely dumbfounded. The courtroom erupted into whispers among the noblemen and representatives before they all nodded, looking to the judge.

“It appears that you have persuaded the court. His Majesty is hereby sentenced to go through the exact same punishments His Majesty’s victims had to go through. The court leaves the punishment to the new King, His Majesty, King Todoroki Dabi. The court is adjourned.” The judge said as he stood up; Dabi, Enji, Bakugo and Kirishima being escorted out of the courtroom by the guards.

“I don’t believe this!” Enji declared once they were out of the courtroom.

“Guards, escort my father to his new room in the dungeon. I will go down with the other guards to return Bakugo and Kirishima back to their cell.” Dabi said with a wicked grin as the guards escorted Enji down to the dungeon first.

“You conniving bastard!” Bakugo shouted as he tried to fight against the guards who had a hold on him. Kirishima was still in shock from everything that just happened, him and Bakugo both powerless to stop it from happening.

“Well, look at that. Take notes while you can, that’s how it’s done. See how easy it is to get what you want when you actually know what you’re doing? Let’s go. I’m feeling quite generous right now.” Dabi said as he led Bakugo and Kirishima back down to the dungeon; Toga, Twice and Shigaraki following behind them. It only took them a few minutes to make their way to the dungeon. Midoriya and Todoroki stood up as they saw them making their way down the hall.

“Good news, brother. Celebrations are in order. You’re looking at the newly appointed King of the Todoroki Kingdom.” Dabi said with a smile as he rested himself against the iron bars of the cell. Todoroki and Midoriya went pale at what he said, completely bewildered that he actually got what he wanted.

“No way. That’s not possible. I don’t believe this!” Todoroki said as Shigaraki opened the door to the cell, the guards throwing Bakugo and Kirishima into the cell.

“Well you better believe it. We were there. Everything that’s coming out of that rotten bastard’s mouth is the unfortunate truth.” Bakugo said as he kicked the door of the cell as Shigaraki closed and locked it.

“Oh come on, don’t ruin my good mood. I was going to offer you guys a farewell present too seeing as I’m feeling a bit generous right now. I know I said you wouldn’t live till after sundown but I decided to give you guys to the day of my coronation which is two days from now. Seeing all of your faces when you see me get crowded the new King will be the best present I could receive that day. Well, enjoy your extra time you all have together. I have a celebration to attend.” Dabi said as he pushed himself off the iron bars of the cell, leaving down the hall.

“What should we do first? Torture your dad or have a celebratory drink from one of his oldest barrels of wine in the wine cellar.” Toga asked as he skipped down the hall behind Dabi, Shigaraki and Twice following behind them.

“I’m thinking torture then wine, that way the wine will taste all the better.” Dabi said as Bakugo, Kirishima, Midoriya and Todoroki watched Dabi as his group disappear down the hall.

“Damn it all!” Bakugo shouted as he kicked the iron bars of the cell, making it bend somewhat from the force behind it. Once they were all left alone, the reality of their fate began to sink in. This was really the end for them. They couldn’t stop him. That night, no one could sleep as they all thought about what Dabi was going to do to them. Todoroki and Midoriya sat together, Todoroki letting Midoriya cry onto his shoulder. Kirishima and Bakugo were huddled close together, Bakugo mumbling ‘I’m sorry’ over and over again under his breath to Kirishima as Kirishima leaned his head against Bakugo’s shoulder. Bakugo and Todoroki were lost in thought, wondering what would have happened if they had gone about things differently. Unfortunately it was too late for them to be thinking about the what if’s. All they could do now was sit back and accept what fate had in store for them.

Chapter Text

One day before Dabi’s coronation

“I still can’t believe your plan actually worked.” Toga said as she sat down on the bench seat underneath the window in the room. Twice and Shigaraki were seated in the chairs in front of Dabi’s desk, Dabi sitting in the chair behind his desk.

“Is it really that hard to believe? It was just two years worth of carefully calculated planning to achieve may goal. Everyone else pretty much did the heavy lifting for me so it wasn’t much effort on my part really. This is just a great example of reading people’s desires. The dragon master wanted revenge and Shoto wanted to get rid of his dad. All they needed was a little push from me and they danced in the palm of my hand for me.” Dabi said as he leaned back in his chair with a smile on his face.

“And you’re going to keep our end of the deal for this right?” Shigaraki asked as he scratched at his neck, watching Dabi’s movements. Dabi smirked to himself as he sat up, turning to face Shigaraki.

“Of course I am. You all helped me with this so it only makes sense that I reward you in some way. You will all be welcomed into this castle with open arms, or you can choose to go free and do what you please with the second chance at life you’ve been given.” Dabi said as he stood up from his seat, walking around the room. “You’re all free to choose what you want you want to do after you do one more job for me. This is the last thing you have to do for me.” Dabi said as everyone turned to look at him.

“What do you want us to do? One more job, really? This sucks .” Twice said as he adjusted the way he was seated.

“Yes. One last job. I need to make sure my place as King won’t be challenged by anyone. So I need you to take care of those who might oppose me. I need you to make sure that Prince Natsuo and Princess Fuyumi don’t try to take the throne away from me.” Dabi said as he stopped walking around the room, turning around to face Twice and Shigaraki. “Toga you can sit out on this one, the others will be able to get the job done.” Dabi said as he turned to face Toga who started pouting at his statement.

“That’s not fair! Why do they get to do it?” Toga asked as she crossed her arms in disapproval.

“Because I need it to look like an accident. If I send you in, that won’t be the case. I’ll make it up to you though. I’ll let you do what you want to His soon-to-be-ex Majesty. Doesn’t that sound like fun?” Dabi asked as he walked over to Toga, placing a hand on her shoulder with a smile on his face. Toga’s face lit up at Dabi’s offer.

“Really? I get to stab him as much as I want?’ Toga asked excitedly.

“I don’t want you to kill him yet so nothing fatal okay?” Dabi replied as he made his way back over to his desk. Toga jumped up, skipping her way over to the door.

“Alrighty. I’m gonna go have some fun.” Toga replied cheerfully as she left the room, the door shutting behind her. Dabi sat down at his desk as he turned to face Twice and Shigaraki.

“It won’t take long before word gets out about what happened and when it does the Prince and Princess will return to the kingdom. Right now the Prince is in the Aizawa Kingdom and seeing as my father told him that he was to be the new heir, he will be returning soon. Princess Fuyumi left a few days ago for the Yamada Kingdom. So she’ll probably be the first to return. Twice, I want you to handle the Princess. Shigaraki, I’m leaving the Prince to you. Make sure you make it look like an accident. We don’t need anyone getting suspicious. Do you think you guys can handle that?” Dabi asked as he watched Twice and Shigaraki.

“Yeah, that won’t be a problem. Can we handle it? Who does he think we are ?” Twice said as he nodded.

“After this, we are free to leave and do what we want?” Shigaraki asked as he watched Dabi.

“Yep, take care of this little problem for me and you are free to do what you want.” Dabi answered as he sat back in his chair, watching Shigaraki. Shigaraki scratched at his neck before he stood up, eyes weary of Dabi.

“Alright. I’ll do it.” Shigaraki answered as he bowed to Dabi slowly before he turned around, making his way over to the door of the room, leaving.

“Count me in too. I wouldn’t mind a nice position within the castle. A real nice position that is .” Twice said as he stood up, bowing as well before he left the room. Dabi smiled to himself as he stood up from his chair, making his way over to the window in his study. He smirked to himself as he looked out at the courtyard of the castle, watching the guards walking around.

“This will all be mine tomorrow and no one can stop me.” Dabi said with a smirk as he stretched his arms out wide as he looked out the window at his kingdom.

The day of the coronation

The castle was full of people who came to witness the coronation; from those who were in the kingdom to nobles and representatives from the neighboring kingdoms. The main hall of the castle was decorated in the kingdoms colors, ribbons of crimson red that were draped from the ceiling were blowing lightly from the wind entering the castle from the open doors and windows. There were long wooden dining tables draped in matching crimson tablecloths that lined the hall. There was a variety of food set atop the tables as people gathered and began chatting. The royal band was playing towards the back of the hall, the music filling the room as more people entered the castle.

“It seems we have a big turn out for your coronation.” Shigaraki said from the top of the main stairs as he made his way over to the doorway of the room that was next to the stairs. Dabi was in the room, getting prepared for his coronation as the servants made their way around the room, dressing Dabi. Dabi was dressed in royal garb, the servants making sure everything was put on properly.

“Of course we do. People from all over want to see the next King who practically caused an uproar in the kingdom. From what happened with Prince Shoto, to Prince Natsuo; people are curious as to who the new King is after so many revelations and changes.” Dabi said with a small smile as the servants placed the fur-trimmed cape over Dabi’s shoulders as Shigaraki entered the room, carefully avoiding the servants as they moved around the room.

“That seems to be true. But are you sure it’s safe to have this many people in the castle with them still locked away in the dungeon. What if someone managed to make there way down to the dungeon?” Shigaraki asked as he stood in the corner out of the room, trying to keep his distance from everyone who was entering and leaving the room, scratching at his neck from the amount of people.

“That won’t be a problem. I have guards guarding all the entrances and exits to the dungeon. No one can get in and no one can get out. There’s no need to worry, everything is going according to plan. After the party, I’ll be claiming my present of putting an end to them. That’s the only thing I care about right now, to see the looks on their faces when I enter with the crown on my head. Their shocked faces will be the best coronation present I could ask for, everything else is just for show.” Dabi said as the servants put on the finishing touches to Dabi’s outfit.

“Everything is all set Your Highness.” One of the servants said as they finished attaching the royal sword to his belt, making sure it rested against his hip properly.

“Well, shall we give the people what they’ve been waiting for?” Dabi asked as Shigaraki left the room, making his way over to the guards standing at the top of the stairs, telling them something. The guards nodded before they banged the handles of their spears against the top of the stairs, making a hush fall over the room as everyone turned their attention to the top of the stairs.

“Thank you all for gathering here today in celebration of the crowning of the new heir to the Todoroki Kingdom, His Highness Prince Todoroki Dabi, soon to be His Majesty King Todoroki Dabi. Without further ado, please welcome the new King of the Todoroki Kingdom, His Highness, Prince Todoroki Dabi!” The guard announced as the crowd erupted into cheers and applause as Dabi appeared at the top of the stairs with two servants holding the ends of his cape. Dabi bowed and waved to everyone as he descended the stairs slowly, taking in all the applause as the royal band played the song of the kingdom as he made his way down the stairs. Once Dabi reached the bottom of the stairs, the servants carefully placed his cape down as they made their way off the stage..

“Thank you all for coming out today to see me ascend to the throne and become the new King of the Todoroki Kingdom. There have been a lot of things happening recently within the kingdom that I have taken upon myself to fix and make this kingdom better than it has ever been before. Today, you will witness the beginning of a new era. I can assure you that this is the start of a ruler you have never seen before. One who will do what is right for his kingdom and his people. One who will fix all the wrong doings made my the previous King, my father, King Todoroki Enji. He has lied to you all and has lead you astray for his own selfish needs and desires. From this day forth when I have been crowned the new King, I will see to it that every decision I make will be for the people of this kingdom. I will make our ties with our allies stronger and form new ones as well. From this day forward, this kingdom will thrive they way it should have during my father’s reign!” Dabi declared as the room erupted into cheers, praise and applause from his words. “Ladies and gentlemen, enjoy today for it will be like no other day seen by this kingdom. This day will go down in history as the first day of a new era for our kingdom. Now enjoy the festivities everyone.” Dabi said as he bowed to the crowd, a smile on his face as he stood up straight before he entered the crown, mingling and talking with the guests.

In the dungeon of the Todoroki Castle

“Sounds like the party has officially started.” Midoriya said as he sat on the stone floor of the cell next to Todoroki. Todoroki had been quiet ever since Bakugo and Kirishima returned after the trial, barely eating as well. He had pretty much given up, accepting the fact that today was his last day. He blamed himself for roping Midoriya, Bakugo and Kirishima into his plan, costing them their lives as well.

“We probably have a few more hours left, unless anyone has a plan to get out of here.” Kirishima said as Bakugo rested his head against his shoulder, scoffing at Kirishima’s words.

“What plan? We’ve tried everything. We can’t use our magic, no matter how much we kick the iron bars they won’t break.” Bakugo said as he kicked a pebble across the floor of the cell. “I will say one thing though, out of all the ways I imagined my life ending, this wasn’t one of them.” Bakugo stated as he watched a bug crawling on the stone wall of the cell.

“Don’t be like that. We can’t give up yet. There has to be a way out of this.” Midoriya said to the room which earned a chuckle from Bakugo. “Todoroki, what about your ice magic?” Midoriya asked as he turned to look at Todoroki.

“What’s the point. Even if I did use my ice we won’t make it out of the dungeon. Knowing Dabi he probably has guards blocking every exit, some skilled in magic as well. We wouldn’t make it out of here if we tried.” Todoroki answered, finally speaking up.

“He’s right, even if he did use his magic it wouldn’t get us far. Bakugo and I wouldn’t be able to use our powers either because of the enchanted shackles. It would be pointless.” Kirishima responded as he leaned his head back against the wall of the cell, looking up at the ceiling with blank eyes.

“We can’t just give up because of that. How can you guys just accept this? You guys can’t really be thinking that this is the end for us? After all you guys did, this is where you give up?” Midoriya asked, not wanting to accept the fact that this is where his journey would end.

“I’ll offer you a piece of advice as a farewell gift; know when you’re beaten. Say we did try to get out, that would only make things worse and cost us however much time we have left. I’m gonna spend however long I have left the way I should have.” Bakugo said as he slowly moved himself closer to Kirishima.

“Kirishima? You haven’t given up, right?” Midoriya asked as he turned his attention to Kirishima. He saw the apologetic look Kirishima had on his face as he avoided his eyes, looking down at the stone floor. “I can’t believe this. All of you lose your fight over some underhanded scheme? How can you all just accept this?” Midoriya responded in disbelief at what he was seeing. Everyone had truly given up.

“Oh just shut up. Nothing you say will change the fact that we’ve been beaten. Just give up already.” Bakugo replied, not wanting to have the last few hours of his life filled with Midoriya’s whining. “If you’re so gung-ho about getting out of here, why don’t you try it yourself and leave us alone.” Bakugo said as he turned to face the back wall of the cell, resting his back against Kirishima’s side as he closed his eyes, snuggling closer to Kirishima.

“Fine, I will.” Midoriya said as he stood up, Todoroki watching him as he made his way over to the door of the cell. “We just can’t give up.” Midoriya said as he grabbed the bars of the door, pushing them with all his force in an attempt to force the door open. When the door didn’t budge, he resorted to trying to kick the iron bars of the door to dislodge them or bend them enough to squeeze out. When that didn’t work he resorted to kicking the lock on the cell to see if that was the door’s weak spot. “Open already, this can’t be the end!” Midoriya said as he delivered one last kick with all his strength to the lock of the door. When the door didn’t open or even bend from the force, he fell to the ground on his knees. “This can’t be the end.” Midoriya said as he bowed his head in defeat as tears started to form in his eyes.

“Who said anything about this being the end?” A voice called out from the hall of the dungeon. “You think I would let His Highness die at the hands of some underhanded scheme?” The woman said as she stood in front of the door to the cell as everyone looked at her to see who It was.

Back in the main hall of the castle

“Ladies and gentlemen, may I have your attention please?” The earl marshal called out to the hall as he made his way down the stairs of the room. “It is time to begin the ceremony.” He said as Dabi joined him on the stage at the bottom of the stairs. The room fell silent as Dabi turned to face the crowd. Three servants joined the earl marshal on the stage before the main hall. The servants knelt down behind the earl marshal as Dabi turned to face the earl marshal, kneeling down on one knee before him.

“Today marks the coronation of the new King of the Todoroki Kingdom. State your name and title before those gathered here today to watch you take on the title of King.” The earl marshal said as he looked down at Dabi.

“I am Prince Todoroki Dabi, son of King Todoroki Enji and Honoushi Aoine.” Dabi said as he looked up at the earl marshal. The earl marshall turned around facing the servants who were kneeling on one knee with their heads bowed and arms out, each one holding out a crimson red pillow with something on them. The earl marshal grabbed the clear orb that had a small red flame constantly burning away inside, neither growing in size or burning out within the container that was sat on top of the pillow.

“Stand up and receive this orb which holds the ever burning flame of the Todoroki family line, and remember that this flame signifies the ever burning flame that will lead and guide one’s people and kingdom. Take this orb within your hand and use this flame to lead your kingdom into a new reign of light.” The earl marshal said as Dabi stood up with his arms outstretched. The earl marshall placed the orb in Dabi’s left hand, the earl marshall bowing to him before he stepped back. He turned around, grabbing the golden sceptre that was lying on the other pillow the servant was holding. On top of the sceptre was a detailed, golden carving of a small flame burning away with a red ruby being engulfed in the flame.

“Receive this sceptre of equity and mercy. So that you are reminded to be merciful, but not so merciful that you become too remiss; so that as you execute justice you don’t forget mercy. With accepting this sceptre with your hand you solemnly swear to punish the wicked, protect and cherish the just, and lead your people and kingdom in the way wherein they should go.” The earl marshall declared as he placed the sceptre in Dabi’s right hand. Once Dabi received the sceptre, the earl marshal bowed again and turned around to grab the golden crown which was adorned with small rubies set in small gold settings in the form of small flames. He raised the crown up as he made his way in front of Dabi.

“Today you are crowned with the crown that signifies glory and righteousness, to be worn on your head as it has for every other sovereign before you.” The earl marshal said as he slowly lowered his arms, placing the crown carefully atop Dabi’s head. The earl marshal stepped back, bowing to Dabi as he stood up carefully, turning to face the crowd.

“Sir, is Your Highness ready to speak the oath of this kingdom?” The earl marshal asked as he faced Dabi.

“I am ready.” Dabi answered as he stood tall before everyone.

“Do you solemnly swear to govern and protect the Todoroki Kingdom and all other territories under your rule and to uphold the laws and customs of those territories which you rule?” The earl marshall asked.

“I solemnly swear to do so.” Dabi answered.

“Will you with your power as ruler swear to uphold law and justice, in mercy, to be executed within every judgement you make?”

“I will do so.”

“Will you to the utmost of your power uphold the laws of this kingdom and live out your rule of this kingdom with power, dignity, righteousness, justice and loyalty to all those you swear to protect within your domain? Do you swear to govern, protect and lead with the duties represented by the crown, ever burning flame and sceptre that you hold?”

“I will and swear to do so.”

“Ladies and gentlemen. I now present to you the new ruler of the Todoroki Kingdom. His Royal Majesty, King Todoroki Dabi.” The earl marshal said as he got down on one knee, bowing his head to the new King. The rest of the room did so as well, bowing before Dabi as a small smile grew on his face. The royal trumpeters played the song of the kingdom as everyone stood up, applauding as Dabi bowed one final time to the people before him.

Back in the dungeon of the Todoroki Castle

“Momo?! How did you get down here?” Todoroki asked in shock as he stood up, making his way over to the door of the cell.

“Your brother isn’t the only one who has someone who can use illusion magic.” Momo said as she grabbed the keys to the cell from a pouch on her belt.

“Where have you been all this time?” Todoroki asked as Momo put the key in the lock on the cell door, unlocking it.

“I’ve been in hiding. Your brother is very thorough which almost lead to me getting caught several times. We don’t have much time before the ceremony is over. If we’re going to be getting out of her, it has to be now Your Highness.” Momo said as she opened the door as Todoroki made his way over to her. Midoriya stood up, Kirishima and Bakugo stood up as well, making their way over to the door of the cell.

“How do you plan on us getting out of here? He probably has guards blocking every exit in and out of here.” Todoroki asked as Momo unlocked and removed the shackles around Todoroki and everyone else’s wrists.

“Do you really think I would come down her without a plan, Your Highness? The secret tunnels are our best way out of here right now. That’s how I got down here in the first place.” Momo said as she made her way down the hall of the dungeon, coming up to what looked like an alcove that seemed to be built into the stone wall in the shape of a door. “You coming or what Your Highness?” Momo said as she pushed on the wall, making the alcove open up to reveal a small tunnel behind it. Todoroki, Midoriya, Kirishima and Bakugo all followed Momo into the tunnel, the wall returning back into place as they followed the winding passageways beneath the castle.

“You’re sure there is no one guarding these tunnels?” Todoroki asked as he followed behind Momo.

“I’m sure Your Highness. I took care of anyone who was when I made my way down. I have made sure that no harm will come to the true heir of the Todoroki Kingdom.” Momo stated as she kept walking down the winding tunnels.

“Some bodyguard you got there.” Bakugo said sarcastically as he followed behind Todoroki and Midoriya.

“Well this bodyguard just saved all our lives, so I’d be a bit more thankful right now if I were you.” Todoroki said as he turned his head back quickly to shoot Bakugo a glare.

“We’re not safe yet. We still aren’t out of the castle yet.” Bakugo said as Momo stopped, holding up a hand. Everyone else stopped as they all listened carefully, hearing a voice speak up from one of the tunnels.

“I just don’t like people like him who think so highly of themselves. After all he has us doing the dirty work for him. I’m just thankful this is the last thing we have to do for him.” Shigaraki said as he started to make his way down the tunnel, followed by Twice.

“Stop complaining, he ain’t that bad. After all once we’re done, we’ll have our freedom back so it isn’t that bad. I still don’t like him either .” Twice said as the began to approach the side tunnel Momo and the gang were hidden down. Momo reacted quickly, creating a false stone wall which matched the tunnel system at the end of the tunnel in front of them, hiding them away from Shigaraki and Twice.

“I’m thankful to him that I won’t be spending the rest of my days in this dungeon, but that doesn’t mean that I have to like him.” Shigaraki said as he scratched at his neck as him and Twice passed where Momo and the others were hiding.

“Took care of everyone my ass.” Bakugo whispered a bit loudly, Kirishima elbowing him in the stomach at his remark. Momo heard someone stop in the tunnel.

“What is it? Let’s just get out of here .” Twice asked as he stopped, looking at Shigaraki who was looking down the direction they just came from. He was quiet for a few moments, the gang holding their breath as their hearts began to race out of fear that they were caught.

“Nothing. I just thought I heard something.” Shigaraki stated as he began scratching at his neck faster.

“It’s probably a rat. Hurry up, I want to get this over with. ” Twice replied as Shigaraki slowly turned back around as he began walking down the tunnel again.

“Your probably right.” Shigaraki replied as they made their way to the end of the tunnel, turning down one of the other tunnels. Once they didn’t hear their footsteps anymore, Momo got rid of the wall she created walking out into the tunnel once she made sure the coast was clear.

“Nice going, we almost got caught because of you. Now keep quiet until we get out of the tunnels.” Todoroki ordered as he followed Momo who took a right at the end of the tunnel. Everyone was quiet as the passageway started to gradually incline, making their way up through the passageway. They followed Momo for about ten more minutes through the winding passageway. Soon they came upon a set of stairs which lead to what looked like a cellar door at the end of the tunnel. Momo climbed the stairs as she pushed the doors open, the group all squinting their eyes as they adjusted to the midday sun as they climbed up the stairs. Once everyone’s eyes adjusted to the light, they realized they were in a clearing of a forest about a mile away from the castle.

“Where are we?” Kirishima asked as he looked around the clearing, seeing that there were five horses waiting for them in the clearing, each one’s reins tied to separate trees.

“This is one spot in the forest that surrounds the castle. We are going to follow the trail in this forest which leads out of the kingdom. The saddlebags on the horses are all equipped with everything we need for the journey. It will take a few days to get out of the kingdom on horseback. In each of the horse’s bags, there is a black cloak that you will all need to wear.” Momo said as she made her way over to one of the horses, pulling out the cloak from the saddlebag as she put it on, tying it around her neck before she placed the hood carefully over her head.

“Why do we need to wear cloaks?” Midoriya asked as Todoroki, Kirishima and Bakugo each made their way over to a horse.

“Because we are fugitives and enemies of the kingdom now. Did you honestly think we would escape without there being any consequences? Once that blue flame bastard sees that we’re missing he’s going to have anyone and everyone out looking for us so they can take us back and have us killed.” Bakugo said as he pulled out his cloak from the saddlebag, putting it on as Todoroki and Kirishima did the same.

“There is a powerful mage on the outskirts of the Yamada Kingdom that I believe can help us, so that’s where we are going first.” Momo said as she placed a foot in the stirrups of the saddle, mounting her horse, Todoroki doing the same as well.

“Not so fast. Kirishima and I have to go regroup with what is left of the dragon shifters and let them know what has happened. So that’s where we will be going first. After all if we are going to take down Todoroki’s bastard of a brother, wouldn’t an army of dragons help with that?” Bakugo asked as he and Kirishima both mounted their horses at the same time.

“The mage is more important right now. They will be a most valuable asset if we are to take down Dabi.” Momo said as Midoriya quickly put on his cloak, climbing on the last horse.

“Bakugo is right. The mage can wait. Having the dragon shifters on our side will definitely be something we need to put an end to Dabi. After they regroup we will make our way to this mage of yours.” Todoroki said as he looked to Momo as he turned his horse around. Bakugo raised his eyebrows, mildly shocked that Todoroki agreed with him.

“Alright then, then it’s settled. It’ll be about a weeks journey to get to where the rest of the shifters are located. There are a few small towns along the way where we can re-up our supplies when we need to.” Bakugo said as he lead the group down the trail, making their way out of the forest.

Back at the Todoroki Castle

“Um, Dabi, Your Majesty. We have a problem.” Toga said as she made her way over to Dabi in the crowd that was celebrating in the main hall of the castle.

“What is it? I’m busy right now.” Dabi asked as he took a drink from his cup, turning his attention to Toga.

“Well, I was down in the dungeon playing with your dad and as I was leaving I thought I would check on your brother and his friends. When I made my way to their cell, the door was wide open and they weren’t there.” Toga said as she hid her mouth behind her hands as she spoke. Dabi’s eyes went wide as the cup fell out of his hand from what she had said.

“What?!” Dabi exclaimed as he quickly excused himself from the room as Toga followed behind him. “When did this happen?” Dabi asked as he made his way out of the main hall, making his way to the entrance of the dungeon.

“I don’t know. I came up to tell you immediately after I noticed they weren’t there.” Toga said as they made their way down the stairs to the dungeon, a few guards chasing after Dabi as he began to make his through the halls of the dungeon until he made his way to the cell where he was keeping Todoroki, Midoriya, Kirishima and Bakugo, seeing that it was empty and the door was left open.

“How could you let them escape?!” Dabi yelled to the guards who had followed him down into the dungeon. “I thought I had ordered you to keep an eye on them so this didn’t happen!” Dabi shouted as he grabbed one of the guards by the collar.

“We’re sorry, Your Majesty. We had everyone standing guard where you said. We have no idea how they managed to escape, Your Majesty.” The guard said as Dabi released his hold on him, pushing him back with force.

“They couldn’t have gotten that far. I want all of the guards out looking for them! Bring them back to me alive! That is an order! Put out a reward for anyone who finds them and brings them back to me alive!” Dabi commanded as the guards saluted him before the left, making their way out of the dungeon. “I knew I should have killed them when I had the chance!” Dabi shouted as he kicked the door of the cell, making it slam shut against the iron bars. “This time I’ll make sure to kill them when I find them.” Dabi said as he made his way through the halls of the dungeon, Toga following behind him.

“What’s this? Did something go wrong with your plan?” Enji asked as Dabi and Toga passed by his cell. Enji was restrained in shackles, covered in his own blood and who knows what else.

“You’re in no position to talk. I’ll find them, and when I do, I’ll kill them right in front of you. And then after I kill them, I’ll kill you. Every single one of your heirs will be dead because of me. Leaving me as the only one left.” Dabi said as he looked at Enji from behind the iron bars of the cell. “If you have any idea where they could be going, I suggest you tell me now before I get even more pissed.” Dabi demanded as he looked down at Enji.

“Like I’d know where they went. Even if I did know where they went, I sure as hell wouldn’t tell you.” Enji chuckled, wincing in pain slightly as he looked up at Dabi with superiority in his eyes.

“Let’s see if you’ll still be saying that once I force it out of you.” Dabi replied in a foreboding tone before he turned away, making his way back down the hall. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a party to get back to. The guest of honor shouldn’t abandon his people right after he’s been crowned King.” Dabi replied as Toga followed him out of the dungeon, making his way back to the main hall of the castle.
