Amidst The Shadows is a dark Dragon Age smut literature fan-fic that delves into the life of the mage Inquisitor, Ophelia Trevelyan, during her time at Skyhold and after the Inquisition. The story focuses on her romantic involvement with Commander Cullen Rutherford, and Orlesian chevalier Michel de Chevin.
The plot evolves around the life of the passionate and shadowy Commander Cullen (that many avid readers have fondly described as "Dark Cullen"), and his tortured past as a templar in Ferelden and Kirkwall. The story also focuses on the valiant and romantic Michel de Chevin, an Orlesian noble knight tied up in many secrets and scandals. Many adventures and suspenseful plots are involved in this story, adding further suspense to this tale.
