Favorite Character: Seth. He went through so much character development and ultimately turned out the way I wanted him to. Not to say he doesn’t have a few skeletons, which will be tons of fun to write…
Least Favorite Character: As shocking as this sounds, it’s a tie between Finn and Corey. They’re both surprisingly creepy characters, and while I liked writing them, they just… Ugh. I don’t know how to explain it.
Favorite Moment: Seth and Roman reuniting at the end of Chapter 9. While I always intended for them to hug, I didn’t expect to love that scene so much, and it just kind of wrote itself. I’m really happy with how it turned out. I also love the end of Chapter 8 because I have this vivid image in my brain of Seth on the plush red steps soaking wet and pissed. Every time I read that chapter, that image enters my head.
Least Favorite Moment: Paige and Seth meeting each other. After the first three chapters, I was determined to not have filler scenes, which the encounter at Corbin and Ruby’s house is.
Favorite Chapter: 4, 7, and 8. After the first three lackluster chapters, 4 actually got me excited to write and really develop each of the characters. As for 7 and 8, those chapters really showed Roman and Seth’s relationship and how snarky they are. Their dialogue was super fun and natural to write, and it always makes me smile.
Least Favorite Chapter: Probably 3 or, surprisingly, 12. Mainly they could have been written so much better, and I feel like I didn’t properly get my message and vision across.
Favorite Relationship (Canon): Lexi and Charlotte. This crazy universe became a universe because I wanted to expand on their relationship.
Favorite Relationship (Fanon): Oh my gosh…you know things are interesting when you start shipping your own characters. While working on 7 and 8, I realized I was shipping Roman and Seth like crazy. Their snarkiness felt like more than just two friends getting back on track, which is why they’ve been retconned to exes.
Biggest Regret: Not developing Daniel and Sting. I had every intention to, but they simply became throwaway characters who got killed very early on.
What’s Next?: Developing Charlotte and Lexi’s characters and how they started dating. I’m excited to actually and properly write femslash!
